so they could start building an army.

somewhere in Hokkaido,

the man was captured
and thrown into prison.

He inscribed parts of a code
to the buried treasure's location

onto his fellow convicts' bodies.

He tattooed them all.

After that, he told the convicts,

"Break out of here, and I'll give half
of the gold to the one who finds it."

[narrator] Sugimoto learns that
the only way to find the hidden gold

is to gather the tattoos
of those who escaped Abashiri Prison.

Soon, he was joined by Asirpa,
an Ainu girl,

and Shiraishi, an escapee,
in collecting the tattoos.

-[Asirpa] I believe his story.

Aca was one of those Ainus
who was killed there.
