Chapter 10: "The Black Queen"

- drift mark.

There you are.

The sea snake is going to die, isn't it?

Luke... - I can't be the tide lord.

Grandpa was the greatest sailor who ever lived.

I get seasick even before the ship leaves the port

I will destroy everything.

I don't want drift mark.

Sir Raymond should have got the place

We don't choose our fate, Luke. It chooses us

Grandpa let you choose if you will be his heir

that's what you told us

You want to know the truth?

I was afraid.

I was 14, like you now

I was not ready to be the queen of the seven kingdoms

But it was my duty

And over time I realized that I had to earn my inheritance

I'm not like you

In what respect, sweet boy

...I'm not like that

Perfect.

I am far from perfect.

My father took care of me and helped prepare me to fulfill my duties

your mother will do the same for you.

Good morning princess.

Good morning, Sir Laurent.

Princess Hyaenas arrived on the back of a dragon

She urgently requests a meeting with you and Prince Damon

Princess Hyaenas Targaryen. Thank you, Sir Laurent-

Princess Hyaenas, have you brought news of Lord Coriolis’s recovery?

Servery is dead.

I mourn your loss with you, Rhaenyra

...to my cousin

Your father had a good heart

that's not all

Argon was crowned as his successor.

They crowned him

How did Revisers die?

I don't know

When?

a day, maybe two days ago

I was locked in my room while the queen was getting ready

Revisers was murdered

Ali cent demanded that you swear allegiance to Argon

Indeed.

I refused her. - But you're alive

The High Seton crowned Argon in the Dragon Pit

I saw it with my own eyes before I ran away from Mails

They crowned him in front of the crowd

so that the crowd will see him as the rightful king

The harlot queen murdered my brother and usurped his throne

and you could burn them all for it.

War must be declared because of this betrayal, without a doubt

But I don't need to start this war

I hastened to warn you, only out of loyalty to my husband and my family

The greens are on their way to you, Rhaenyra , and to your children

You must leave Dragonstone immediately.

The baby is about to be born.

Her pregnancy is not over. This is not supposed to happen

It's happening, dammit!

Don't lose your temper, princess. - come on

you've done it five times already

Keep calm and the sixth time will be no different

Leave me alone! they left me

I want tours around the island

Let them look for small boats that can anchor

If the Greens attack now, it will be by stealth, not directly

We don't have enough people to surround the island

But we can create the impression that we are stronger than them.

recruit the dragon guards. They are good fighters

Don't waste time

it will be done, prince

what was that? - I'm sorry.

Don't be so hard on him, prince

So that he learns what you are trying to teach.

Your mother needs to see you

the two of you.

mother?

damn it.

the princess.

Your grandfather King Naysayers is dead.

Revisers?

The Greens denied the will and claimed the Iron Throne for themselves

Argon was crowned king.

What should be done about it? Nothing for now-

Where's Damon?

I don't know, he's out of his mind

went out to plan his war.

Leave Damon to me.

... Jace

Jaycees.

Whatever claim to the throne I have left, you are its heir now

Nothing should be done without my command

A crow arrived this morning

The sea serpent recovered from his illness and he left Ivan pol

Where is he sailing?

Not clear, Prince

We will send crows to our closest allies

Lords Drawling, Massey and Bar Ammon

Damon!

Do you want to talk? With the scholar, the prince

I will fly to Riverrun myself and secure Lord Tully's support

you won't.

My mother ordered not to take any action while she was in bed

good to have you here, young prince.

We need you to patrol the skies on Irma.

Did you hear what I said?

The Ravens, Lord Barbarous.

I'll take care of it.

Call Sir Stephon.

Kings guard. Should be in Dragoon

Come with me, I'll show you what real loyalty is

You swore to be knights in the King's Guard

Like anyone who wears a white cloak, prince

whom?

I swore for the first time, to King Jay air is, a prince

and then to his majesty the king Valparaiso when he succeeded him

Do you know the correct order of succession?

Yes. - Yes, the prince.

Do you remember who he appointed? King Budweiser appointed a successor before his death.

Princess Rainier.

I thank you for your long service to the crown

and therefore I will let you choose.

Re-swear allegiance to Rhaenyra as your queen

to Prince Jailbreak as heir to the Iron Throne.

...or

If you support the crown prince, say so now

and die a quick and dignified death.

But if you choose betrayal

If you swear allegiance now, and betray later

Know that you will die. screaming

Princess, let us help you

Get out of here!

the princess, please.

Get out of here! - You shouldn't be doing this alone, princess

let us help you.

Farewell, brothers

I swear to protect the queen with all my might

and pour out my blood for her

I will not marry a woman

I will not own the lands

And I won't have children

I will keep her secrets, I will obey her orders

I will ride by her side and defend her name and honor

my queen.

Queen Tyranny Targaryen, the first of her name

The queen of the andals and the Roynaries and the first Men

The lady of the seven kingdoms and the garden of the Realem

your Highness.

Wine, my queen.

Thank you, Rhaenyra.

Come on

How are we doing?

We have 30 knights, 100 archers and 300 armed men

Dragonstone is easy to defend, but our army is far from being a conquering army

I sent a message to my confidants in the city guard

I have some support there, but I don't know how many people it is

We received affidavits from Tiger and Staunton

Massey, Draklin and Bar Amon

My mother was from the house of Erin

The people of the Bekaa will not betray the rest of their flesh

The people of Naharan have always been friends, relatives of your father, Your Highness

With Prince Damon's consent. I have already sent ravens to Lord Grover

Lord Grover is fickle and easy to persuade.

He must be convinced that our position is strong and that we will support him if war breaks out.

I will take care of him myself.

What about Storm's Edge Winterfell?

Ben Stark, who forgot an oath, was not born yet

And the whole North will follow the footsteps of House Stark

Lord Boros Baratheon must be reminded of his father's promises.

What's the news from Driftmark?

Lord Corliss sailed to Dragonstone

to swear allegiance to his queen.

Valerion's fleet is under my husband's control, and he decides where he sails

We will pray for your support and that of your husband

Just as we prayed every night for the recovery of the sea serpent

There is no port in the narrow sea that dares to turn Valerion's fleet into an enemy

And our enemies

We have no friends among the Lannisters

Thailand has served the king's right for a long time, he will not rise against him

And Otto Hightower. Needs a Lannister fleet

Without House Lannister, it is unlikely that we will find allies west of the Gold Tooth

No.

The importance of Naharan is decisive, Your Highness

Forgive me for my directness, Your Highness

But the talk about humans is meaningless

You control a force unseen in the world, from the ancient Valyria

Dragons.

...greens have dragons

They have three adult dragons by my count

We have Cyrx, Carxis and Miles

Your sons have Virmax, Arax and Tyrrhexis

Bayla has Mundenser.

Damon, none of our dragons participated in the war

There are other dragons without owners.

Sismock is still alive in Driftmark.

Wormythor and Silverwing. Live on Dragonmont

still no riders

There are also three wild dragons, all of whom nest here

And who will ride them?

Dragonstone has 13 to their four

I also have 20 eggs incubating in Dragonmont

We need a gathering place, an outpost that can accommodate a large force

Here, in Harrenhall, we will cut off the west and crown Maale a king with the dragons

And we will be able to impale the heads of all the greens by the end of the month

Your Highness, a ship has been sighted off the coast

A single battleship flying the flag of a three-headed green dragon

Inform the watchtowers. Watch the sky

I came in the name of Queen Dowager Alicent.

The mother of King Aegon, second to his name. Lord and protector of the seven kingdoms.

I was ordered to deliver her message to the ears of Princess Rahinira only.

Where is the princess?

Princess Rheainira.

I am Queen Rheainira now

and you all betray the kingdom.

King Aegon Targaryen, second to his name

In his wisdom and his pursuit of peace, he offers conditions for negotiations

Recognize Aegon as king and swear to obey the Iron Throne

In return, His Highness will recognize your ownership of Dragonstone

that it will pass to your son Jaisreez at your death.

Lucris will be recognized as the legal successor of Driftmark.

And all the lands and property of Beit Valerion

Your sons from Prince Damon will also gain status and respect in the court.

Young Aegon as the king's vessel bearer

Viceries will be his air conditioner.

And finally, the king in his grace

Yehon every knight and lord who conspired against his queen

I'd rather my sons be food for dragons

for carrying shields and goblets of wine

To your freckled king, the drunken usurper

Aegon Targaryen sits on the Iron Throne

He wears the conqueror's crown and wields the conqueror's sword

It is named after the conqueror.

And he was anointed king by the hands of a septon of faith in front of thousands

All the symbols of legitimacy belong to him.

And the Starks, Tully and Baratheon also accepted

And at this time they are considering accepting generous terms from your king

Stark, Tully and Baratheon swore allegiance to me.

When King Vaisaris appointed me as heir.

Old Shavuot will not seat you on the Iron Throne, princess.

The order of inheritance changed on the day your father had a son.

I only regret that he and you are the last to understand this.

You are not the king's right, just as Aegon is not the king

a damned traitor

a top scholar.

what the hell is this?

Queen Alicent has not forgotten the love that once existed between you

There is no need for bloodshed to continue peace in the kingdom.

Queen Alicent is impatiently waiting for your answer.

She can get her answer now stuck in her father's mouth

with his flaccid penis.

Let's finish the horseshoe of this Mockion.

Sir Eric, bring me Lord Hightower

so that I will have pleasure.

No.

My answer will be received by the King tomorrow.

It is not easy for humans to kill dragons.

But dragons can slay dragons, and have already done so

That's the simple truth. We have more dragons than Aegon.

Weissries talks a lot about the history of Valyria, I know it well

When dragons flew to war. Everything burned

I don't want to rule a kingdom of ashes and bones.

Are you considering accepting Hightower's terms, Your Highness?

As queen, what is my true duty? To the kingdom, Lord Bartimus

A promise of peace and unity.

Or will I sit on the Iron Throne? At any cost

This is your father speaking.

My father is dead.

...and he chose me to succeed him

To protect the kingdom, not to start an all-out war.

The enemy has declared war.

What are you going to do about it?

Get out of the room.

The possibility of war excites you?

You cannot kneel before the Hightowers.

They took away your birthright.

If you could take the iron throne.

Without impaling Otto Hightower's head on a stake

Would you do that? - You are not angry.

Should I declare war? Because I'm angry.

No, because as a queen, it is your duty to suppress rebellions.

You know my oath is beyond our personal ambitions.

A Song of Ice and Fire.

what?

The coming war against the darkness in the north. The conqueror's dream.

Viserys told about it...when he named me heir.

My brother was a slave to prophecies and ominous signs.

Everything that created the appearance of purpose for his weak rule.

The dreams did not make us kings

the dragons did it.

He never told you.

Right?

I beat men who fell asleep on their watch.

You are not a man.

You abandoned me when I needed you the most.

Our two children were taken from us.

I needed you.

Beyla and Reyna needed you

And you abandoned us for more adventures at sea

as you always did.

I had nowhere else to go.

I lost everything.

We lost, Corliss.

We.

I realized we have a new king.

The stranger casts his long shadow over this family.

Your brother is dead too.

He hastened to bury you and claim your seat.

And stood before the king and denounced Lenor's sons as bastards.

Damon cut his head off for that.

Hasty ambition has always been a weak point of the House of Valerian

You were right, Rhaenys.

I aspired to too much, and in vain

Our ambition is to win the Iron Throne

is over.

We will not support anyone

We will retire to Hightide... and be content with our grandchildren

Jace, Luke and Geoff claim the crown.

These children will not be safe as long as Aegon is king

Rahinira shared in the death of our son.

This girl destroys everything she touches.

This girl is saving the kingdom from disaster right now.

All the men standing around the painted table.

They implore her to send the kingdom to war.

Rahinira is the only one who showed restraint.

The purpose of war is to fill cemeteries, dear Lord Staunton.

The trick is to bury more of their people and less of your people in the ground.

It is easy for the Lord Commander to say this from the safety of his fortress.

That doesn't mean it's not true, Tide Lord.

Lord Corliss and Valrion.

His wife, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen

Gentlemen

Lord Corliss.

What a relief to see you safe and sound

I am very sorry for your father, princess. He was a good man.

Where's Damon?

There are other matters that the prince is required to take care of

Your professed allies?

Yes.

Too few to win the war for the throne

We also hope to gain the support of Erin, Baratheon and Stark's daughters.

Hope is an ally of fools.

In the veins of the sons of Erin and Baratheon also flows the blood of my house

and they all swore allegiance to me.

as the Hightower House did. If I remember correctly

as you did, Lord Corliss.

Your father's kingdom was a kingdom of justice and honor.

Our houses are connected by common blood. A common goal.

This betrayal by Hightower must not be accepted.

You have the full support of our navy and home.

your Highness.

It is a great honor, Lord Corliss.

Princess Rhaenys.

but as I said to my flag bearers

I promised my father to see to it that the kingdom would be strong and united

If war breaks out, it won't be on my initiative.

You don't intend to act?

Caution is not inaction.

I would like to know who my allies are before I send them to war,

I was almost killed at Stepstones Islands.

But as a result, we control them now.

This time I made sure to leave a garrison in the field.

Within days there will be a complete blockade on the shipping lanes

it may have already started.

The Trinity was defeated. The narrow sea is in our hands,

if we block the pharynx.

We will stop all traffic and sea trade is king

I'll take Miles and tour the muzzle myself.

When we stop all traffic in the narrow sea,

we can crown Maale Melech and lay siege to the Red Fortress

and force the greens to surrender.

To obtain enough swords to encircle a king

First we must secure the support of Winterfell, Hatch, and Storm's Edge

I will prepare the crows, Your Highness

We need to carry these messages

Mixed high-flying dragons

and they are more convincing.

Send us

The prince is right, Your Highness.

Fine.

Prince Jaisreez will fly north.

First to the Bekaa to my mother's cousin, Lady Jane Erin,

and then to Winterfell

Discuss with Lord Cregan Stark with the support of the North.

Prince Lucris will fly south to the end of a storm

and will meet with Lord Boros in Areatheon.

We must remind these lords of their vows

and the price of their violation.

They say we are Targaryens.

Closer to the gods than to humans

The Iron Throne may bring us a little closer

But as servants of the seven kingdoms

We must give an account to their gods

Go on this mission as messengers, not as warriors

You will not participate in any fighting.

Swear to me now in front of the seven.

I swear.

Thanks.

Kergan Stark is closer to your age than mine

I hope that as men you will find common interests

Yes, Your Highness.

A short flight away from here

Areatheon blood runs through your veins, from your grandmother's side, Rhaenys

And Lord Burros is a very proud man.

It is an honor for him to host a prince of the kingdom and his dragon

I expect you to receive a warm welcome

Yes, mother... Your Highness.

Get going

I am Prince Luceris Valerion.

I have a message from the Queen to Lord Burros

Prince Lucris and Valrion

The son of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen

Lord Burros

I have a message from my mother.

The Queen.

But earlier today I received a messenger from the king

So what do we have, a king or a queen?

It seems that the dragon's house. I don't know who controls it

What is the message from your mother?

Where is the damn scholar?

They remind me of my father's vow.

King Aegon. At least he came to me with an offer

My swords and standard bearers. For a marriage alliance

If I do what your mother asks

...Which of my daughters will you marry?

Boy?

Sir, I am not available for marriage

I'm already engaged

So you came empty handed.

Come home, puppy

And tell your mother that the master of the end of the storm is not a dog

that she can whistle at him when necessary and accuse him of her enemies

I will give your answer to the Queen, sir

Fishing rod.

Lord Strong.

You really thought you could fly to the kingdom

Trying to steal my brother's kingdom? Without paying for it

I won't fight you.

I came as a messenger, not as a warrior

A battle will be a minor challenge

No.

I want you to gouge out your own eye

as payment for my eyes

One will be enough

I won't blind you

I intend to give it as a gift to my mother

No.

then you are both a coward and a traitor

not here. -Give me your eye! Or I'll take it, bastard

Not in my hall!

the boy came as a messenger

I will not accept bloodshed under my roof

Return Prince Lucris to his dragon

now.

Concentrate!

Watch out, Arax

cool down

Listen.

Obey

chicken, Arax

Run away, you bastard

!Hurry up, turn away

You have a debt

Boy!

No, Arax

No, Arax, serve me

no, no, no .No, Vigar, no

No, Weigar, no. Weigar, no, I served! fly up

No, Weigar, no! No
