The Protector of creation keeps the universe in balance.
Brahma created the mightiest beings:
the all-powerful devas,
and the savage, cruel Asuras.
To seize dominion over the three worlds,
the devas and Asuras have waged war across many ages.
Our story begins as that war draws to a close.
This battle will decide who shall rule the three worlds.
[Title: THE RAMAYANA - PART I]
The Asura army
led by the commander Kaikesi and the all-powerful Asura Emperor,
stood on the very threshold of victory.
But Indra was blessed by the god Vishnu.
With Vishnu's aid, Indra's power became even greater.
The devas won the battle,
and the Asuras suffered disgrace.
The prosperous kingdom of Lanka...
[LANKA ISLAND, CAPITAL OF THE ASURAS]
now belongs to the devas.
Its rule has been given to Kubera.
The Asuras, who once dreamed of ruling the three worlds, now live as slaves.
Now they must endure a life of slavery.
[RASATALA - THE DEEP UNDERWORLD]
Deep beneath the earth in Rasatala,
they writhe in hunger and poverty.
The devas think the war is over,
but this is only the beginning,
the beginning of a great catastrophe of ruin.
Why has our clan fallen into decline?
Because of you, Dashanana.
Apart from music and scripture, you pay attention to nothing else.
What good is spilling so much blood if it doesn't lift our clan up?
Look at the injustice and cruelty our people are forced to bear.
All of these tragedies and sorrows
were caused by the god Vishnu himself.
He always sides with the devas.
Every time an asura grows stronger, Vishnu descends to earth to destroy him.
Why doesn't anyone do anything?
Your mother did.
I wed a great sage.
Because I believed you children would inherit
the power of the asuras and the wisdom of a sage.
But look at what became of me.
Vibhishana is gentle, just like his father.
Kumbhakarna and Surpanakha, though...
But you, Dashanana, have both in your blood.
The strength of the asuras and the keen mind of a sage.
Only you can reclaim the glory
that belongs to our asura race.
Your future cannot stay buried
in this dark underworld of Rasatala.
Not in that royal palace up there.
The time has come for fury, for vengeance,
for toppling the gods, for Vishnu's destruction.
Respects.
[PEAK OF MOUNT GOKARNA WHERE DASHANANA PERFORMS PENANCE]
His severe austerities and deep meditation
compelled the Creator Brahma to appear in person.
Stop, Dashanana.
Abandon your asceticism.
Its terrifying energy
could destroy this entire vast universe.
Across the three worlds, no one has ever
practiced penance this severely.
I beg you to grant me a boon,
O supreme Creator.
One that no one in the three worlds has ever received.
What do you wish to ask for, Dashanana?
Every living being is born to die.
Immortality.
Immortality...
Immortality.
Please hear me out, Creator.
The gods cannot kill me.
Neither the Asuras nor the Gandharvas
can take my life.
Yakshas, demons, or demigods,
no magic can destroy me.
No disease can touch this body, no force can stop this power.
Even the gods would fall before me.
Vietsub by Lửng Mật Tele: @daihuuuu
It's the eldest brother.
Yes, that's him.
Dashanana!
Elder brother!
Mother is proud of you.
You kept your word.
But the vow is not yet fulfilled.
This is only the beginning.
Let's go.
The people are waiting for us.
Now you are king.
Go to your subjects as a victorious king.
[LANKA PALACE RAVANA'S CORONATION CEREMONY]
The one who sat on the throne of Lanka all this time
isn't fit to carry the sandals of the king today.
In all the three worlds, no one is mightier than you.
In all the three worlds, no one is wiser than you.
You were born with eternal destiny:
to rule over the vast three worlds.
King of kings, undefeated Emperor.
At dawn, the sun will see a new Lanka.
A new Lanka, where no Asura
will have to shed more blood or tears.
Forget your hunger.
What I eat, you eat.
How I live, so shall you live.
If the palace I live in glitters with pure gold,
your houses will shine with gold too.
From now on, I fear nothing.
When the three worlds hear my name, they will tremble.
No one can harm me anymore.
Everyone must bow before me.
I will use my strength to reclaim the glory our clan had stolen from us.
Heaven, earth, the underworld, the three worlds: from now on there is only one king, Ravana.
Let this be the beginning of an empire that spreads everywhere.
Wherever we go, my banner will fly.
Why should I bow down and submit?
I have patience, too.
Those who bow down will be spared.
Those who raise their weapons will have their heads cut off.
Their magic is useless.
Their strength is worthless too.
Khara, Dushana, from now on you are my brothers.
Until my last breath, I am grateful to my elder brother.
Surpanakha, from today on, we will forever
be one family and one invincible army.
Prepare to march on the heavens.
I will go to war with Indra.
Fight Indra?
Let him beg for mercy.
[AMARAVATI - THE HEAVEN OF INDRA]
I have a message.
Go back and tell Lord Vishnu,
the one you have always worshipped,
that from now on the three worlds have only one master.
I see destruction in Ravana's eyes.
All three worlds are suffering under his tyranny.
If he is not stopped, this entire universe will be destroyed.
Whenever the universe sinks into evil,
Lord Vishnu descends to earth.
By the boon of Brahma, he has become invincible.
Defeating him is impossible.
Remember, Indra, Ravana did not ask
immune to death at the hands of any mortal.
It seems that was his plan.
Ravana thought that if a god were born as a frail mortal,
he could easily kill him.
If that happened, the mortal world would be shrouded in darkness forever.
Our prayers have been answered.
Set aside your doubts and pray for His blessing.
[KINGDOM OF AYODHYA CAPITAL OF THE SOLAR DYNASTY]
♪ Devoutly we bow to Lord Vishnu, Eternal Protector of all beings...
♪ May Lord Janardana uphold dharma and end all the sorrows of the world...
♪ We humbly beseech Lord Madhava to bless all living beings in the universe...
Then Lord Vishnu took his seventh incarnation,
descending to earth in the palace of King Dasharatha,
my dearest friend in Ayodhya.
Along with his three younger brothers.
By the grace of the gods, I have four sons.
Sumitra's sons: Lakshmana...
Kaikeyi's son: Bharata.
And...
my eldest son, Kausalya's son: Rama.
I am Jatayu, king of all birds,
and I have been blessed to see Rama with my own eyes.
Jatayu greets the princes.
How strange.
I have never seen a horoscope like this.
Rama's future is both brilliant and dark.
On one side, boundless wealth; on the other, great suffering.
Every day, the first blessing
from our father always goes to our eldest brother Rama.
Just because he is the eldest, is that all there is to it...
I too have talent and ability.
So in what way am I inferior to Rama?
Yet the king's first blessing
always belongs to my son Rama.
Rama, why are you still awake at this hour?
I was reflecting on the fate of humankind,
Father, my king.
Why does each person's fate differ so?
One child must toil in the fields, plowing the land,
while another lives in the luxury of the royal palace.
Lakshmana, do you think so too?
No, but whenever Brother doesn't sleep,
I can't sleep either.
Brother's question has no answer yet...
Someday he'll have to make the hard decisions.
Rama's own decisions will determine
whether he is forgotten like all the other kings,
or remembered and honored for ages.
As far as we know, Vishnu has been reborn as a mortal.
He is learning martial arts and strategy to defeat you, Your Majesty.
Your Majesty.
I told you this spark would become a sea of fire.
Rising from the ashes, Maricha, master of fire magic.
[AYODHYA ROYAL PALACE HALL]
Great sage Vishvamitra,
your visit makes Ayodhya even more sacred.
What brings you here from your hermitage?
Ravana.
I was performing a sacrifice for the welfare of the world.
But two demon servants of Ravana,
Tataka and Subahu, keep disrupting my sacrifice.
I myself will set out with my army
to protect the great sage's sacrifice.
I don't need an army.
I came here only to ask for one warrior.
Rama...
Forgive me, great sage.
To face those evil demons who use dark sorcery,
such as Tataka and Subahu, only Rama can do it.
You see Rama as just a son.
But to me, Rama is a fearless warrior.
A warrior trained in military strategy
and the strategies taught by the great sage Vasishtha himself.
His arrows fly swift as a raging storm.
His wisdom is unmatched in sharpness.
His intellect shines like the midday sun.
The people of Ayodhya love him more than their own lives.
Forgive me, great sage.
At your command, I would gladly risk my own life.
But my son is dearer to me than my life. I cannot send him to his death.
Enough!
I can no longer bear this humiliation.
Please do not misunderstand me, great sage.
King Dasharatha, at this very moment,
my wrath could reduce you
and the city of Ayodhya to ashes!
I bow to you, master.
Bless me.
Your anger toward the king is justified.
But not as a father's.
Out of love for his son, the king has yielded his royal duty.
Then tell me, Rama.
If you had to make this decision,
what would you do?
I don't know whether I am worthy.
I have never even been to battle.
Even so, master, Father...
You passed over my father and the great army to choose me.
You must have seen something special in me,
something ordinary mortal eyes cannot see.
This is the most precious opportunity in the world
to test my fighting skill.
Please allow me to go.
Elder brother, I will go with you.
No, Bharata.
With Rama gone, Ayodhya needs Bharata all the more.
Elder brother is right.
Still, I will go along with him.
Master, if Lakshmana goes with him...
What do you think, Master?
To deal with these demons, do you need me, Master?
Haven't I also been trained in the art of war,
by the great teacher Vasishtha himself?
Did you see Rama's scheme, Sister?
He cleverly maneuvered Bharata into staying behind.
So that once the demons are slain, all the glory goes to Rama.
That's enough, Manthara.
Every time you open your mouth, poison comes out.
I have never once treated you as a servant.
So don't go saying whatever comes into your head.
Remember that.
Your servant has never advised Your Majesty
to withhold your love from Prince Rama.
But please, don't let your great affection for another's child
make you turn a blind eye to the injustice done to your own son.
[TATAKA FOREST - SIDDHASHRAMA HERMITAGE]
This forest has no life left in it at all.
Master, why does this forest seem to be under a curse?
Long ago, this place was extremely beautiful.
Tataka and Subahu seized it and turned it into this.
Thousands of sages who lived in the forest were slaughtered by the demons.
The evil demons murdered all of them.
I chose you to put an end
to this bloody catastrophe, Rama.
Brother, we've set traps everywhere.
But will this be enough to stop the demons?
Yet all day today,
we haven't seen so much as a shadow of the demons.
Master, please stop.
Tataka and Subahu will not appear here.
Come with me.
This forest is strangely quiet.
Master!
How do you know it's a demon?
When evil spirits are near, the animals all fall silent.
You stay behind and protect the master well, while I go and destroy these evil demons.
Master!
Brother, killing a woman goes against the righteous path.
For the wicked, there is no righteous path.
Destroying them is the greatest righteous path of all.
The clouds are scattering flowers to celebrate Rama's victory.
You have proven yourself an outstanding warrior.
I want to pass on to you the secret of the divine weapons,
so that you become an unrivaled warrior.
It is a great honor for me, Master.
The power of the gods has gathered within you, Rama.
When you recite the mantra, their power will follow your arrow.
We have just destroyed the evil demons Tataka
and Subahu, using only ordinary weapons.
With this divine weapon, no demon can stand against us.
When there is no other way.
I still have one question, Master.
To launch the divine weapon into the sky, we need the bow of Vishnu or of Lord Shiva.
How can we obtain it?
It is not brute strength but wisdom that helped me win
that divine bow.
You must win at the swayamvara of Princess Sita of Mithila.
Along with hundreds of warriors, your courage will be tested.
Sita, the swayamvara.
Master, leave the test of courage to Brother.
But what if you learned more about that princess?
Master...
Sita is no ordinary woman, Rama.
She was born from the womb of Mother Earth.
Sita is highly skilled in warfare.
She has a deep understanding of the Vedas.
The Pinaka bow of Lord Shiva,
even hundreds of warriors together could not lift.
Yet Sita lifted it easily since she was a child.
As important as that divine bow is to you,
Then Princess Sita is just as important.
Do you have any other questions, Rama?
Master, just one glimpse of her,
and your questions will vanish, Brother.

Does she know I must lift the bow?
No.
But I hope you are the one who lifts it.

A promise?
I had promised my three younger brothers

The sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, a great devotee of Lord Shiva: Parashurama.

I don't understand why a great warrior
like him has come to attend the wedding.

I only want to know which of you is bold enough

not to break it.

Punished for what crime?
Elder brother never intended to break Lord Shiva's bow.
It broke while he was lifting it.
It's broken, so it's broken.
Why must we...

This is more suitable for you.
What is this game, Manthara?
This is the deception that King Dasharatha

It's understandable that Ayodhya is rejoicing.
But why are you happy?
When you were young,
when your father married you off to that old king,

I will choose my son.
Yes, I hoped you would, Your Majesty.
The son you promised to make king.
Have you forgotten your promise to my father?
Have you forgotten that promise too?
The day I saved your life on the battlefield.
Does the vow of a king of the Solar line

Since I was young, I have heard that whatever fate has written will come to pass.

Now the God of Fire has bound your fate to mine.
If you could read it, you would surely know.

and thrust it straight through my chest.
What is it, Father?
No matter how great a crisis we face,
we always have a way to resolve it.
What weighs more, Rama?
The sword of the king of the Solar dynasty,
or the golden promise he made?
A promise, surely.
A king who breaks his word will not be respected by his people.
Lose their respect, and his kingdom will be cursed.
Isn't that right?
Tell your father that.
As his son, it is my duty to keep my father's promise.
Please, Mother, just give your command.
Hear me out first, Rama.
Then decide.
Don't regret your decision.
My mind is made up.
Please, Mother, give your command.
The throne belongs to Bharata.
Bharata will be a wise king.
And you must endure fourteen years of exile in the deep forest.
No!
As long as I live, I will not let that happen.
By the rules of righteousness, if a king loses his mind and someone exploits that to gain advantage,
both must be killed.
Kill whom?
Our father, who made the promise?
The mother who demands it be fulfilled, or the one who knows nothing of this matter?
Or our brother?
I truly don't know why,
you once wished for me to become king.
And I don't know why
you now want to banish me to the deep forest.
Just as I accepted your earlier command, I will accept this one too.
Please don't worry.
Both of your commands, the earlier and the later,
I will carry out wholeheartedly and completely.
Mother, there's no need to do that.
You may say whatever you wish.
You have that right over me.
I will never let her go with me.
Sita, this exile is mine alone.
It's only for me.
You accept exile to keep one promise in full.
But breaking another promise, didn't you spare it a single thought?
What about the vow you made to me on our wedding day?
That whether fortune or misfortune came, we would face it together.
Doesn't that promise mean anything?
I've already said it: from now on, we share one fate.
Whatever it is, I accept it.

Big brother!
Big brother! My brother Rama!
All of this happened because of me.
I knew nothing about this.
I've cut ties with the woman who did this.
She has no right to call me her son anymore.
Speaking so harshly against our mother

Everything she did came from love.
The throne has always been yours.
I don't want it.
The people of Ayodhya want the same.
Please come back, big brother.
I cannot return to Ayodhya, Bharata.

But why, big brother?
The very person you made the promise to is now calling you back to Ayodhya.
And the one who made the promise has already died.
Even if the promise from years ago no longer binds you,
do you really think a promise alone brought you to the forest?
No, Lakshmana.
There must be a divine purpose behind all this.
If we turn back to the capital now,
we will never understand the will of the gods behind it.
The answer lies ahead.
Once my exile is over, I will return to Ayodhya.
If this is your unshakable decision, brother,
then I will bow and follow your wishes.
Whatever vow binds you,
I too make one vow: I will never rule Ayodhya.
Shatrughna and I will only handle the affairs of state.
I ask for only one thing.
Please give me your sandals.
I will place them on the throne to uphold righteousness.
We should not stay here any longer.
What would happen if we stayed, brother?
This forest lies on the border of Ayodhya.
No one knows what lies beyond it.
The people of Ayodhya already know I am here.
As long as I linger near this border,
the people will not accept Bharata's rule.
I was not the cause of Vidyutjihva's death.
He was the one who dared to insult my family,
something I have never forgiven and never will.
But he was your husband.
That is why his death was a gentle one.
Otherwise you would have seen how painfully I tore him apart.
It was only a strategic alliance.
Now I no longer need it.
You don't object, do you?
Sister Surpanakha, come with us and live in Janasthana.
Wonderful!
Go on, Surpanakha, begin your new life.
Whoever you choose, I will give you to that person.
[DANDAKA DENSE FOREST, DOMAIN OF DEMONS]
I have never seen a forest this frightening.
This is nothing.
The forest around the ashram of Master Vishvamitra
is far more dangerous and terrifying than this place.
No.
You call this frightening?

Quyết định đi lưu đày là do con chọn.
to ask for a place to stay.
You ask for shelter and then dare to kill my demons?
Where do you get the nerve?
It was those demons who attacked first.
Defending ourselves is our right.
Aren't you afraid at all?
Only those who do wrong have reason to fear.
Why fear when you have done right?
From the outside, you look like exiles.
But the way you carry yourselves is like warriors?
You guessed right.
We are of the royal house of Ayodhya.
My elder brother is Rama, his wife is Sita, and I am Lakshmana.
I am the princess who rules Janasthana,
and my name is Surpanakha.
Come with me to my palace,
rest, and enjoy a feast in your honor.
Thank you for your generous hospitality, Princess.
We are bound ourselves
by our vow of fourteen years of exile in the forest.
Living in a palace would break that promise.
My elder brother never breaks his word.
She has fallen for him.
Did you notice?
Women can easily read the hearts of women.
Please accept this gift.
I have one wish. May I say it?
Of course.
From the very first moment I saw you,
your handsome image
has been carved deep into the depths of my lovesick heart.
I want to marry you.
What are you saying?
What is there to hesitate about?
I have already married Sita.
I have no need to take Sita's place.
I'll be your second wife.
Doesn't your father have three wives?
Then what's stopping you from marrying me?
I'm a princess.
And I'm stunningly beautiful.
I have everything.
You're far too good for me...
There's only Sita in my heart.
There's no room for anyone else.
Elder brother!
What did you say to that princess?
You saw it?
Tell me, please.
I'll tell you.
She wants to marry me and make me king of her realm.
Then you should become king of her realm.
If I became king of her realm, who would serve as your servant?
She is a great beauty.
Think about it.
A servant who becomes king
doesn't get a second chance.
With the sun shining, why would we need fireflies, sister-in-law?
Where are you going?
Stop it, please.
Demon, you dare disguise yourself as my sister-in-law Sita to trick my brother?
Today I will punish you.
No matter whom you disguise yourself as, you can't hide your true face.
Good.
I'll end this trouble right now.
What have you done, Lakshmana?
That she-demon dared to disguise herself as our sister-in-law Sita
and make seductive advances toward my brother.
This is the fitting punishment for that sin.
You could have just frightened her.
Your brother could have simply admonished her.
Cutting off her nose with your sword, when her offense didn't deserve such a fate...
What happened to your princess Surpanakha was unjust.
No one should treat a woman like that.
I beg you.
War solves nothing.
Hand over Rama and Sita.
Attack!
Hail.
Vietsub by Lửng Mật Tele: @daihuuuu
Where are you running to, Rama?
Watch us cut off your wife's nose.
Then we'll kill your brother.
That's it.
I sentence you all to death.
[THE ROYAL PALACE OF LANKA: THE WRATH OF EMPEROR RAVANA]
Who is that?
Rama!
But all of today's misfortune
all stems from you, brother!
If you hadn't cruelly killed Vidyutjihva,
I would never have had the idea
to seek love in that prince Rama.
I would not have come to this.
I warned you, brother.
Surpanakha...
But please, be patient.
- Patient? - Hmph!
What kind of brother are you, with no shame!
Your own sister suffers such painful humiliation,
and you still dare tell me to be patient?
I grieve for what happened to you, Surpanakha!
But Rama seems to possess divine power.
He won't be easy to deal with.
It seems Rama is an incarnation of Vishnu.
That may be so.
Because years ago, when you asked Brahma for a boon,
you proudly refused to request immunity
a death brought about by the hand of a mortal man.
Do you doubt the courage of you, brother?
I'm only concerned about the consequences.
Think it over carefully before you decide.
Don't listen to these cowards, brother.
As a great hero, you must avenge your sister's humiliation.
Should we hold back and make peace, or raise an army and wage war?
Keep the kingdom at peace, or march out at once to seek revenge?
Peace or war? Sound the war drums now!
You've waited for so many long years
to destroy Vishnu. Why are you hesitating now?
You fool, fighting Rama means certain death.
The one born to conquer even death is Dashanana, Ravana.
Victory belongs to me!
Vishnu must die!
You have everything, yet you still have no peace.
From now on, instead of peaceful sleep, you'll choose the nightmare of the Asuras.
Let him taste it!
He will have to taste it!
He cut off the nose of Ravana's sister!
He cut off the nose of my sister!
His wife...
Curse, war, death.
Put an end to this folly.
Everything will end with Vishnu.
Brahma did not grant you immortality.
Kill Vishnu to gain immortality.
The stars say this is the right moment.
A man of great wisdom, yet doing wrong...
Hold to the righteous path! March out! War has given you everything!
This war will destroy you! Ravana, wake up and rise!
Never fear any foe! Rise up and destroy your enemies root and branch!
The moment has come.
I have been waiting for it for years.
This deep blood debt with Rama,
I will surely make him pay back in full for you, Surpanakha.
Then, in the way that from now on across the three worlds,
no one will dare lift even a finger against the Asuras.
Rama's death will not come quietly,
deep in some remote forest where no one knows of it.
Before the eyes of the entire universe,
I will make him suffer a fate worse than death, then tear him apart!
Right here on the sacred soil of Lanka,
where our people once suffered humiliation, I will put an end to Rama!
An end to Vishnu's arrogance.
And a final period to his incarnations,
the last of the god Vishnu upon this earth.
Sita...
You love me so much.
Just hearing your voice every day
makes all my worries in my heart melt away.
Your smile gives me the faith that everything will be all right.
As long as you are always by my side to protect me,
my heart no longer holds any fear or confusion.
Why do you say such things?
Yesterday in the battle, I was afraid for a moment that I would lose you.
In that moment I suddenly realized
that without you, my life would have no meaning.
I did not want you to follow me into exile.
But since you came with me, this exile has become a paradise.
How beautiful.
Have you never thought that one day you might lose me?
No.
I dare not even think about living without you.
Don't think such ill-omened thoughts.
Sister, your hands seem to have some kind of magic.
The wound has healed completely.
Look, brother.
That deer is so beautiful.
I have never seen a deer as beautiful as that one.
There can be no deer like that here.
Sister, that is a demon in disguise.
You see enemies and demons everywhere, Lakshmana.
Rama, I want that deer.
This is illusion...
Don't underestimate their magical power.
If that golden deer is really a demon in disguise,
then destroying it is the duty of a warrior.
But if it really is a deer, Sita must be allowed to keep it.
You stay here with Sita.
It's the first thing she has ever asked of me.
I'll be right back.
Lakshmana, did you hear that?
Yes, sister.
I heard it.
Brother is in danger.
He's calling you.
Brother never calls out like that.
That cry for help is surely a trick,
a scheme of the shape-shifting demon to lure you away.
No, Lakshmana, that is truly my Rama's voice.
You must go and see.
Sita!
I thought your brother had already slain the demon.
Your brother is in danger out there,
yet you stand here smiling.
Either your love for your brother has faded,
or your respect for me has run dry.
No matter how much blame you place on me,
I will not leave you alone.
Very well, then I will go and save my Rama myself.
Sister, please stop, sister.
Go.
You leave me no other choice.
Brother entrusted me with the duty of protecting you.
Except for Sita alone,
any evil creature that dares to cross this line
will be burned to ashes by the sacred fire.
I only ask one thing of you, Sister: no matter what, do not step over this line.
Alms, please.
Would any kind-hearted benefactor give this old monk
some vegetarian food and water, for I am starving?
Alms, please.
Greetings to you, sir.
May blessings be upon you.
What are you doing in this forest?
Are you not afraid of demons?
Whoever thinks of Lord Shiva while awake, asleep, sitting or standing has nothing to fear.
I was on my way to Agastya's hermitage,
when I unfortunately lost my way in this dense forest.
My stomach is growling with hunger.
Do you doubt a man of religion?
Living on demon land, one must be cautious.
Remember: if a holy man comes to your door and leaves with an empty stomach, misfortune will follow.
Great misfortune.
Lakshmana, I have no other choice.
Please, holy sage, recite the first two verses
of hymn 121 from the tenth book of the Rigveda.
Not only have you refused to give food and water to a man of religion,
but you have also spoken with suspicion and insulted me.
I fear that in your heart at this moment,
not a single drop of compassion remains.
Forgive me.
"In the beginning there was Hiranyagarbha, the sole lord of all creatures..."
"He upholds the earth and the sky above; we offer our reverent oblations..."
"He is the giver of life and strength; all the gods obey his command..."
"His shadow is immortality, and even death lies in his hands..."
Forgive me, wise sage.
Has your arrogance subsided?
Keep that fruit.
I will go and beg elsewhere.
Please stop, wise sage.
No! No!
Please, accept this fruit.
Speak.
Vietsub by Lửng Mật Tele: @daihuuuu
Do you think kidnapping me settles your revenge, Ravana?
The result will be war.
Because my Rama will surely come to rescue me.
That will be the beginning of your end.
[ON THE SOUTHERN CLIFF WALL, WHERE THE DIVINE VULTURE JATAYU FOUGHT TO THE DEATH]
Rama!
How did things come to this?
Forgive me, Rama!
I could not save Sita!
How is Sita?
Where is Sita?
Ravana...
He has taken her to Lanka.
Where is Lanka?
Wherever it is, Brother.
I will go there and bring our sister-in-law back.
It's not as easy as you think.
Because reaching Lanka is extremely difficult.
Ravana is the lord of the three worlds.
He holds the supreme boon of Brahma,
and the protection of Shiva, the Destroyer.
No one has defeated him to this day.
His younger brother is Kumbhakarna.
The strongest giant warrior in the universe.
On the battlefield, no one can stand against him.
His son, Meghanada, is as formidable as Ravana.
No one can withstand his magic.
Ravana's army is countless, all of them skilled warriors.
To defeat them,
no ordinary army can do it.
And you have no one.
When I meet Dasharatha, what am I to say to him?
You are like a father to me.
In his final days, he suffered so much.
I don't want you two to grieve any more.
Please, tell my father in the afterlife
that we will soon complete our exile and return.
Oh, God!
Don't lose heart.
What fate has been decided for us, Lakshmana?
What am I chosen for?
To be exiled by the hand of my own mother?
To be kept away from my father as he lies dying?
Or to witness today my Sita being taken away?
If this is my destiny, I will never accept it.
From today on, I will write my own destiny.
Whether in this world or the netherworld, I will find Lanka wherever it is.
If the tyrant Ravana
declares himself lord of the three worlds, then right before the three worlds, I will put an end to him!
Whether it is his brother, his son, or his entire army
that dares to stand in my way, every one of them will pay with their lives!
I will bring my Sita back.
This is the unbreakable vow
of the son of King Dasharatha, the proud descendant of the Solar dynasty!
Rama's vow.
