The Indianapolis City Council

will meet again next week to debate

the proposed zoning changes.

The public is encouraged

to share comments for the record,

beginning at 7:00 p.m.

A fire swept through

a residential area in Beech Grove

last night, destroying a family home,

as well as a neighbor's tool shed.

No one was injured,

but authorities say an overturned portable heater

was responsible for the blaze,

serving as a reminder

during these cold days and nights

to never leave heating devices running while unattended.

A gas station in Crown Hill was the site of an armed robbery

shortly after midnight.

Two gunmen assaulted the cashier

and made off with over $100.

There's another casualty from the elevated train

that jumped the tracks and crashed into the street

in Chicago yesterday,

bringing the death toll to 11.

Hancock County Circuit Court Judge George Davis has ruled

in favor of the defense today.

Judge Davis found

that the bribery indictment

against Indianapolis Police Lieutenant Reed Moistner

did not meet legal requirements.

Moistner's attorney, John Ruckelshaus,

states that the prosecutor

is playing a, quote, "Mickey Mouse game"

Prosecutor James Kelly said today

that his office will amend the indictment.
