This was a very unique season because we
turned a lot of the decisions over to you,

the fans.

And that uncertainty kept the players off
balance every day.

It was risky.

But when you have great players,
you have great seasons.

And we had 24 amazing players.

We've got the non-jury and the jury.

Everybody looking so good.

And of course we have the final five still
in the running.

For winning this thing, going home with
the $2 million.

But we are going to check in with him a

I just want to address the players and say
that we asked a lot from you.

From the very first moments, I basically
said we need everything.

We need all of it.

And each and every one of you gave us
everything.

It's one of the best seasons we have ever
done.

You've delighted the fans and we've had a
blast making it with you.

So we're going to treat tonight as one big

Taking out Sarit is heartbreaking, but at
the same time, I'm here to win this game.

member of our jury, Sarit.

Words can't describe what I pulled off
today.

I, along with Joe, Jonathan, and Aubrey,
were able to blindside Sarit.

I love Sarit.

But come on, she's one of the greatest
players ever.

She almost flipped the script to get
Aubrey out.

But in the end, I out-Sarit Sarit,
guaranteeing my spot in the final five.

And now the final four, because I have my
idol still in my pocket.

How do we hate him?

Tiffany got played, so she's really upset.

I feel like a million...

sure that Tiff doesn't

It's just hypocritical, and there's no
reason to get, like, that mad,

That, to me, just being honest,
is immature.

Tiffany is bitter.

And when you get emotional, you get
blinded about what you need to do.

I used to do that.

I was naive the first time I played.

But now I know these people are here to
chop my head off.

And so in this season, I'll do anything to
win Survivor, because this is war.

Had we taken her up on you, you would be
going home.

I know that.

Had we listened to her, you'd be home.

I know that.

From what I've heard today, Tiff is
throwing out my name.

So why the hell am I the one getting all
the heat?

I love when people
get annoyed at you in

Survivor, and they're
writing your name down.

In the blink of an eye, she would
absolutely cut her head off.

I know.

I know that.

I will leave my door open to her, but it's
not my job to make this all right for her.

I have to continue focusing on my game.

Man, two more days.

I don't know.

I won in fire on my season, but it was
very long.

Was yours fast?

Yes.

Yeah, but you've played 140 days of
Survivor.

That doesn't mean I can start a fire
better.

You've played three times as long as me.

I'm three times crazier than you.

This is the third time that I've made the
final five of Survivor.

I think that says that I am doing
something just a little bit right.

But I'm in a very precarious spot right
now.

I'm the only multi-time
returning player, and

people are starting to
talk about how I'm a threat.

Let's go win a challenge.

Yes, yes, yes.

I'm gonna try my best.

I mean, gotta just get it.

Yeah.

Between me and you, worst case,
if Tiff wins, Aubrey goes.

That's what I think.

You got my word.

Me, you, and Joe are getting there.

My game plan is to sit next to Joe and
Rizzo at the final three.

If I sit next to Tiffany, I'll lose because
she has a lot of friends on the other side.

Even if it's fire and not a vote at four,
we can beat Aubrey.

And you and Joe can beat her at fire.

But Aubrey, she's like an underdog story
for the century.

You have somebody that
fought against everybody,

going back and forth to
make it to the final three.

These are huge plot points to talk about
at the end of the game.

Me, you, and Rizzo are locked,
right?

And there's nothing changing about that.

I just would rather one of us wins.

So, what's the problem?

We've still got an option in Aubrey,
right?

Our plan is to vote out either Aubrey or
Tiffany, depending on who wins.

Well, we knew, with
this group of players, that

every tribal council
was going to be brutal.

Because we were going to lose somebody
great.

But when this woman was voted out...

I think all our hearts sank a little bit.

Take that in, Serene.

Serene, I mean, I don't really need to say
anything else, but I'm going to.

How are you feeling right now?

I mean, that's a lot to walk out to.

I am so grateful and
appreciative for the

outpouring of love
that I've been receiving.

It is astronomical.

I can't even put it into words.

And I have not cried once here until this
moment.

So, it should speak volumes to how you
guys are affecting my heart right now.

And I just want to say thank you for 20 of
the most amazing...

Mark, thank you for an opportunity to live
20 of the most amazing years of my life.

I didn't know what I had in me until I
tried Survivor for the first time.

And every time I come
back, I see more and more

and more of what I have,
and I don't recognize it.

So, thank you guys for that.

I want to share a little something about
Serene's gameplay.

This is the truth.

Our producers would come back from a day
on the beach with you, and they would say,

it's intoxicating and impossible to
describe how she does it.

But she moves the game to where she wants
it, and nobody sees that she's done it.

And our producers
would come back and say,

we're watching it going,
how is she doing it?

Because she's not doing anything.

But the reason I brought you out here is
beyond your gameplay.

Like you said, when you
came out here 20 years

ago, I remember you
saying, I'm afraid of leaves.

And now you embody everything that
Survivor is about.

There has never been anyone like you,
Serene.

You inspire all of us because we see
ourselves in you.

I want to present you with something.

No, it's not a joke.

This is a one-time award.

We made this in the Survivor Art
Department.

Wow.

All right, shall we get to today's
immunity challenge?

Yes, sir.

First things first, Tiff.

Gotta take it back.

Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.

For today's challenge, you're going to
race to the top of a tall tower...

and use a Survivor fishing pole to
retrieve a machete.

You'll then chop a rope, releasing a ramp.

You'll slide down it, crawl through a
muddy net.

Once you're through,
you'll collect sandbags, and

use them to knock over
three targets containing keys.

You will use the keys to unlock and solve
a Survivor ladder puzzle.

You'll climb up the ladder to the top and
race to finish a Phoenix puzzle.

First player to finish wins
the immunity necklace,

guaranteed a spot in the
final four of Survivor 50.

Losers, Tribal Council, where somebody
will be the 20th person voted out of this

season, become the 10th member of our
jury.

Take a look at this challenge.

It is huge.

And you know what is just as big?

The stakes for each one of you right now.

All right, here we go for immunity and a
guaranteed spot in the final four.

First you're going up that deck.

You can get up there with the rope,
or you don't need the rope.

Nobody wanted the rope.

Now you're climbing
up that ladder to a new

Survivor obstacle, the
Survivor fishing pole.

You've got to use that pole to retrieve
your machete.

Stakes have never been bigger in Survivor
50.

Jonathan quickly has his machete,
wasting no time.

Tiff has her machete.

Joe's got his.

Rizzo has his.

Aubrey's going fishing, and she's got

chop the rope to release your ramp.

Jonathan takes almost all of the ladder
rungs out at once.

And quickly, Jonathan finds the first
piece.

It is like Jonathan built and designed
this challenge himself.

He is destroying it.

There you go, Aubrey.

Let's go.

Aubrey's got her sandbag.

Joe's got it.

Get your keys, Joe.

Tiff trying to get that third target,
and she's got it.

Tiff has her three keys.

You're going to build this ladder from the
bottom to the top.

I don't know what I'm doing.

Jonathan got here first, but that lead has
evaporated.

It is anybody's challenge to win right

Tiff has made up some time.

It's the phoenix that you are building.

There's no support for some of those
pieces and they will drop.

You don't have to worry about the frame
falling.

Meanwhile, Tiff does not have that issue.

around my neck, and they're clear and free
to take the shot.

Well, this season introduced us to a new
kind of duo, a modern-day bromance.

Today's Laurel and Hardy, Christian
Hubicki, Rick Devens.

It was so fun having you on this season.

And the friendship you developed,
it seemed like instantly.

Walk me through the Tribal Council, because
that was like a scene from Dumb and Dumber.

Did you two decide who had to do what
role, or did you know?

Did you cast this Hubicki?

Obviously, I was the distraction.

He's the man of action.

He's Captain Kirk.

I'm Mr. Spock.

I gotta make sure everyone's looking
elsewhere.

Yeah, so we practiced this.

You literally practiced the platform?

Well, I saved my knees, Jeff, so I kept it
for the dress rehearsal.

Okay.

And, Devens, I think the one word that
everybody sort of attributes to you is joy.

And we really saw it the whole season,
the way you talked about your family and

your kids and why you were out there,
and all of that was beautiful.

But the moment that really embodied it for
me was that coin flip, because we didn't

know how people were
going to react in terms of the

players, and you almost
seemed to will that coin.

Did you feel it?

Dude, I wanted it so bad, and you saw it.

Like, I was crazy that night.

I was positive it was going to land.

I knew Jack and Juju were watching.

Becca said, play with the spirit of
playfulness.

We don't care if you win any money.

And you said, give us everything.

So I was like, I'm born for this.

Well, I have... I have the coin.

This is the coin that you flipped,
and it does seem, since you were the one

to be courageous enough to do it,
you should be the keeper of the coin.

She is the biggest
threat to my game at this

You have a great underdog story,
along with three immunity wins,

possibly four if you make it to tomorrow.

To give myself and my family the best shot
at two million, I can't sit next to you.

What can I say to convince you to let me
stay one more day?

I'm going to be honest, probably nothing.

Then what's the point?

I know.

There's not really many chess pieces left
on the board.

Shot in the dark is done at this point,
so I can't even play that.

But I do believe I have the power of
persuasion.

So, my plan is to just sell people on how
good of a game Aubrey has played.

I don't think I will be able to move
Rizzo.

But I do think I can possibly convince Joe
that right now, in this moment,

Aubrey is a bigger threat.

Aubrey was robbed her season.

People, survivor fans, especially on the
jury, they would love to give Aubrey two

million dollars to rectify the injustice
she suffered on her season.

I know.

There's people over there that love Aubrey
and have known her for years.

They don't give a damn about no newbies
like me, Rizzo, even you.

I don't get it.

I know.

It sucks that in this game when people
think you're the... you get voted out.

Aubrey has been playing a long time.

She is an old school player.

She has a lot of friends, actual friends
on the jury.

On the other hand, Tiffany, she is a
fierce competitor.

She could win her way into the final
three, no doubt.

I only need one more person to vote if
you're willing to vote Aubrey.

To me, it's a crapshoot.

I think they both could win.

So I'm just gonna go with my gut.

She was just trying to pitch.

That's all.

Pitch me?

Yes.

What I meant by that was she's trying to
switch us.

I know.

And just how good of a
threat you are, but... I know.

Right now, Tiffany is scrambling.

But in Survivor, you have
to figure out when to put your

foot on the gas and when
to take your foot off the pedal.

So my strategy right now is to stay calm.

I'm mature enough of a Survivor player
that I can be honored that I'm a threat.

But oh my gosh, it's not what I want to
hear at the final five.

She's pitching you.

Just letting you know.

Maybe she pitches you something different.

It's Jonathan, Joe, and Rizzo.

So I'm confident that the
work I've done all along to

solidify these relationships
are gonna get me to the end.

If for whatever reason, I'm still here
tomorrow and I win...

I promise you, all my life, I will not put
you in fire.

We don't even know if there is
fire-making.

Because we don't know what the fans voted
for.

But the truth is, last time I
played in Survivor Season

42, Mike beat me at fire-making
and I went home fourth.

Mike's flame is really starting to burn.

It is killing it.

There it is!

It's over.

And that always has haunted me.

So, Tiffany's buffer is huge.

Rizzo told me earlier that he feels like I
have an underdog story.

But my underdog story is nothing compared
to Aubree's.

We would be foolish not to realize that
that's the real threat here.

And if she gets anywhere past here and
none of us can realize that...

Yo, we're cooked.

All of us.

I think Aubree and Tiffany is a close
battle on who needs to go next.

Because Aubree is like the perfect
underdog.

Tiffany is the sweetheart of this season
when she's winning all these immunities.

So, it's like difficult to decide who to
vote for.

You are giving this bench.

She's got good points.

I know.

Tonight's going to come down to me and
Joe.

This is not an easy decision.

It could cost $2 million.

The weight of that is heavy.

Well, as I mentioned earlier, Mike White

because he's filming the White Lotus 4 in
the south of France.

But he's agreed to stay up very late with
us.

you moved your shooting schedule for a
season to come play Survivor 50.

What is it about this show that drew you
back?

I mean, Survivor has given me so much,
both personally and as a viewer...

when I was a contestant.

And, you know, it's such a cultural
milestone.

50 seasons?

Are you kidding?

I wouldn't miss it.

There's no way you could have kept me from
coming back.

Alright, tell me if this is true.

Because the way it works on our show,
you went to the end.

The first time you played, you didn't
experience what happens if you get voted out.

But now you get voted out and you have
this time on your hands...

because we ask you to not go back so the
people don't know you're out of the game.

Is it true you immediately started working
on White Lotus while you were still...

after you'd just gotten voted out?

Yeah.

I mean, of course I was bummed.

It took a day to, like, you know,
nurse my wounds.

But then after that, I, like, got to work.

So nobody knew where I was.

I didn't have a phone.

So just being able to write White Lotus
Season 4 was like a gift in and of itself.

So, thank you.

I got to ask, though, you've had Survivor
cameos in White Lotus.

The single closest Final Five challenge in
the history of survival.

Tiff, one piece separated you and
Jonathan.

Literally could not have been any closer.

When it ended, Jonathan had a big
celebration, and you were frustrated.

Yes.

Um, that was a very honest moment for me.

You know, I've experienced
the seven stages of

grief more today than I
have this entire game.

You know, I might be going home tonight.

So, really, I'm just here to get a couple
things off my chest, Jeff.

Okay.

You know, there was a lot of
conversations.

Oh, you're just such a big threat,
and I don't think I can win sitting next

to you, and I hope you think this is a
compliment.

Like, that made me so angry inside I
wanted to explode.

But I literally had to hold
it in, because I'm like, that

is the most asinine thing
I've ever heard in my life.

Meant to be a compliment or not,
I don't care.

That's stupid.

But it's not a disrespectful thing to her
as a person.

It's not a shot at her.

It's like, in some ways, she's played
better than any of us.

And it could be a compliment.

I know she doesn't take it that way,
but it's true.

But myself and Joe have won the same
amount of challenges.

That's the most frustrating part.

It's only scary when you lose to me.

When they lose to the boys, it's daps and
hugs.

What would have made the real difference
is if I felt like I got back to camp and I

was really considered and not trying to be
managed.

That was the most frustrating part.

The other side of this is that Survivor is
the game of social politics.

It all comes out in the
end when you have people

at the final three who
have to answer to the jury.

For me, I want to give myself the best
position to win the $2 million,

not only for myself but my family.

way that Survivor is built,

it's for you to succeed,
you need others to fail.

There are people that I played against

Super proud of all of us.

I am so excited.

We outlasted 20 of the best players that
ever played to make it to the Final Four.

One of us four are winning $2 million,
and the realization starts to hit.

Happy Final Four, everybody!

The vibe around camp is amazing.

It's great.

It's all smiles now.

But Season 50 is all about uncertainty.

All right.

The fans selected this final test,
and you know the competition is tough.

Winner pleads their case to the jury.

Losers all exposed to the final snuff.

So no hint at all.

Not even a clue.

It's the biggest day of the season,
and we have no idea what to expect.

There are two main questions.

What this Final Four immunity challenge
is.

And if I lose, how is my fate going to be
determined tonight?

Is it going to be by a Final Four vote,
or is it going to be by fire-making?

The people that have the answers I'm
looking for are the people at home.

It's the fans.

Thing is, bro, like, we got a little jolt.

One of us has to live.

Why do you think that?

Because if she wins, we're screwed.

Like fire-making, I think she might want
to put you and me against each other.

And that's not what I want.

We're not going against each other.

One of the two of us will win.

We have three guys here that are trying to
make it to the end.

And Aubrey, we really want
to get her out, because we

don't know if we have a
shot against her at the end.

So, today is the biggest challenge.

I want to win this more than any of them.

Because if I don't, and Aubrey does,
then we're all screwed.

I'm going to just practice fire while
we're here.

I have worked with Joe,
Rizzo, and Jonathan for a

few votes, but I don't
think that I'm one of them.

I really think that if one of these three
guys wins the final challenge,

I might be out the door.

We have PTSD from fire-making.

I mean, I won it, but it took like 45
minutes to an hour.

No way.

It's scary if fire-making happens to be in
the game.

There's a fireman in our group,
and there's Jonathan, who's pretending to

be afraid of making fire, but I've also
seen him make it in five seconds flat.

So I know if I don't win, there's no way
that I'm going to get to the final three.

I have played dozens of challenges in
Survivor, and I've won one immunity challenge.

I know that of all the
Survivor challenges

I've ever played, it's
do or die for me now.

well that's going to become a challenge.

I want my strategic game, my underdog

because I think he's a big threat.

So right now I don't think I want to be
sitting next to Rizzo.

I feel like his game is the most similar
to mine.

And I've seen Jonathan make fire.

He's really fast at it and he can get the
job done.

I just lost it.

I really wanted this for me and my family.

It's so impactful because I did this
journey in 48 for my sister and I came up

short and I got embarrassed and I never
thought I'd be back out here.

I feel so good about my game and that's
what's eating me alive right now.

Damn it, Rizzo, how can you be so good but
so bad at the same time?

I lost and fired four years ago in season
42.

I can't let the outcome be the same.

I can't and I've done fire making almost
every day here practicing.

How long was that?

I start a fire faster than anybody I've
ever seen.

I'm more practiced.

I'm more prepared than I've ever been for
anything in my life.

That would burn the rope.

Absolutely.

I've worked hard.

I know exactly how to make that fire and
how to make it quick.

On paper, I'm ten times a better fire
maker than Rizzo.

So if I don't make a fire before Rizzo,
it's because God decided, not me.

On season 48, I was fortunate enough to be
in a position where I was selected to go

to final three and Eva was really
struggling with fire.

So I was fortunate enough to help her in
that.

Yeah.

And once again, I just saw Rizzo,
who wasn't picked.

He's struggling with fire and I just... I
just... I had to help him.

Like this.

That's what we want.

You feel the pressure?

I just give him the basics,
the motions, how to hold your

hand, how to hold the blade,
where to put it on the material.

I'm starting to get worried.

I don't want him in the final three with

and an underdog story sitting
next to me in the final three.

Everybody plays Survivor,
hoping to make it to the end

with a shot to win, but
that's not how Survivor works.

When I came back to
Season 50, I literally said to

myself, I'm going to do

And here I am, going to do this again.

And all I was thinking to myself was,
what did I do wrong?

What did I do wrong?

And then I think back to the one word
that's gotten me through my entire life,

and that's hope.

Is my Survivor story
going to be the kid that

makes it to the end
and loses in fire twice?

Or is my story going to be
the kid that lost in fire, came

back in the biggest season of
all time, and redeeming himself?

What that story's going to be,
we're going to find out in a few short

moments, but I'm hoping
that I catch that one spark,

burn that rope, and guarantee
my spot in the final three.

Jonathan, you too have been here before.

What does it feel like for you to go back
into it again?

Mr. Jeff, I was thinking
about it today, as

Rizzo was, and I started
thinking about the odds.

The odds of me making it on season 50,
making it this far with this cast.

I thoroughly believe from
the bottom of my heart,

whatever happens tonight was
meant to happen, good or bad.

Because I've done my
homework, I've done

everything that I can do,
and I truly believe that.

So if it works out for me, it was supposed
to happen.

If it doesn't, then I did everything I can

It is really interesting that we have
never had one player back in the final

for a second time, let

alone two players in a
showdown in the same season.

There is so much personal history and the
weight of having lost.

The symbolism is huge.

One of you is going to die again in the
same way.

And one of you is going to be reborn and
will have a spot in the final three.

It is literally either redemption or

did that in my two seasons.

I think at some point you

era is not about camp life.

And it did occur to me, camp life is also
about fire-making.

I don't know if there's something in there
to think about.

can scrape magnesium shavings,

which is what Rizzo's doing,
and use those as the fuel.

You need heat, you need fuel, and you need
oxygen.

Jonathan quickly has a flame, but Jonathan,
remember, that is hessian burning.

If you burn through all of that,
you won't have any left.

Rizzo taking a different approach.

He's trying to build up a little pile of
magnesium and then get a spark going.

catch, because they will burn longer and

It's one of the most intense experiences
you can have.

And I'm wondering how you feel right now,
with history repeating itself in one sense.

You didn't get the fire done,
but in back-to-back seasons,

you got to the Final Four
of a very, very difficult game.

So where is this balance for you right
now?

Jeff...

I always said, when I first saw this show
as an 8-year-old kid, watching Token

Sheens, I just needed Jeff to give me one
shot.

I think back to day one
of season 49, when I came

back from behind to
win the fight for supplies.

And I thought to myself,
wow Rizzo, you had

your Survivor moment
in your first 24 hours.

The rest is just house money.

And I did things that nobody has ever
done.

And I was one fire short.

And I came back to
season 50, not as a fan

amongst players, but
as a giant amongst giants.

And unfortunately for me, my Survivor
storybook ending is going to be,

I played two great games, but I fall short
both times.

And I just want to give you a little
perspective.

Over 49 seasons, 751 people have played
this game.

The Survivor Hall of Fame is filled with
great players.

Many of them are right there that have yet
to win this game.

You can't measure how you play this game
based solely on if you win or not.

And I'm going to hazard a guess that you
have another legacy, which is,

there are a lot of eight year olds,
right now, watching you, looking to their

parents saying, that's going to be me one
day.

Jeff, I said I wanted to come out here and
inspire my family, my brother,

and represent a group of people that have
never been represented in 49 seasons of

Survivor, and that's my Albanian
community.

And you gave me a shot, again,
on Season 50.

And I have no regrets.

Even if I made it to the end and I lost,
I genuinely have no regrets.

I left here wanting to inspire people.

And even though I didn't win, I leave
knowing that I played the best game that I

could, and I know I made my family and my
Albanian people proud.

Rizzo, it's been a delight to

I wanted to see you.

It showed that you could get to the end
again, no matter what they decide.

I played Survivor Co-Wrong 10 years ago.

I got to the end, and I lost to Michelle.

The winner of Survivor, Michelle.

Some people said I should have won.

But really, where the court
of public opinion has fallen is

that I shouldn't have won
because I had a bad social game.

And that's worn on me for a decade.

You're a spectacular person, Aubrey.

You're so amazing.

Thank you.

My mom is my best friend.

She's seen every high moment
and low as you get ripped

apart by the internet and built
back up and torn down again.

And your family stands by you through it.

I miss you.

I'll make you pay up, Joshua.

You're gonna kill it.

Seeing my mom rounds me and reminds me
that I have what it takes to win.

But the jury is in control tonight.

From day one, I've been trying to lower my
target.

And I have had a resurgence at the end of
this game.

That was actually very intentional.

This time, I have worked as hard as I can
to put threats ahead of me and make sure

that I peaked in this game at just the
right moment.

And I think I've done that.

Aubrey got to the end with sheer grit and
determination.

She played under the radar and Aubrey
played a game of hopscotch.

She hopped alliances just the way she
should have.

Her name was constantly being thrown
around, but in a survivor magic trick,

she was able to shift the target time and
time and time again.

This season in particular, it was a lot of
fun.

But I've been playing since the very
beginning hard.

And I got exactly the people out who I
wanted to.

I have made more connections in this game
tenfold than I did in season 42.

I played a social strategic game that no
one saw coming.

I was willing to do whatever it takes to
win this game.

And it really paid off.

When we think about Outwit, Outplay, Outlast,
Jonathan seems to have done all three.

He was so collaborative
that many people think

they made the moves that
Jonathan actually made.

Jonathan was able to
conduct some major blindsides

and he won immunities
when he needed to.

He had a great social game.

If he wanted to make a move happen,
he made it happen.

When I came into this game, I was going to
play just like I did on season 48.

Be as honest as I can, as trustworthy as I
can and take a team to the top.

But I realized that the
game I played in 48,

I could not do here
amongst these sharks.

I was going to get eaten alive and I was
just going to be bait or chum for them.

So I allowed myself the
freedom to play the game

the way it needed to
be played on season 50.

I had to lie.

I had to betray some people.

I had to get my hands dirty.

And because I did that, that's why I'm
sitting at the final three.

Period.

As frustrated as I think some of the jury
members were feeling like they had to

manage him or manage his emotions,
I think Joe might have solved Survivor

because every single vote had to get run
through Joe.

Joe was the decider.

Joe has really played a strategic game
where he said, I'm going to play with

honor and integrity and then did
everything opposite after the merge.

If Joe admits, I came out here based on
honor and integrity and I threw it out the

window because I
knew I wouldn't get to the

end a second time, he's
going to have my vote.

Yeah, I'm going to start to pull my stuff

season of Survivor and no
seasons of Survivor are ever alike.

They're always unique.

But what makes this
season special to all of

you and the non-jury
is that it's your season.

You were the ones who played it.

The fans voted for the type
of game they wanted, but

you were the ones who
birthed it and brought it to life.

And now you've got to bring it to a close
with the final Tribal Council.

thing, the information they

I've been in that spot

How I should have fought harder.

How I should own my game more in that
final Tribal Council.

I don't want you to make that same mistake
tonight.

Here's my question.

What core value do you possess in the real
world outside of Survivor?

Did you feel like you
had to compromise in

this game and did the
end justify the means?

And we'll start with Joe and just please
all answer this.

Well, Coach, you know, in Season 48,
last one I played, I prided myself on

being someone of honor
and integrity and trying to play

a straight up game, which
was true in my real life.

And I had to finally put myself and my
family ahead of anyone else.

So I lied.

I was dishonest with some people.

I broke some trust.

It's not something that I enjoyed,
but it's something that I had to

compromise in order to put myself in the
best position to win.

Aubrey?

At home, I make very deep relationships
very quickly.

And something I would say
from the first time I played is

that sometimes there is a
cost to those deep relationships.

You can really hurt people.

But in a game like Survivor 50,
I said to myself, you're not going to let

that fear of hurting people
prevent you from playing

the game that you need
to play to outlast everyone.

So the perception of me
in Season 42 was I was

a loyal, honest guy that
was a challenge beast.

And he just kind of stuck with his
alliance.

And I knew coming into here, I'd have to
change almost everything.

And I had four years
to think about what I

could do so I could
make it here right now.

I played a game where each one of you got
a different side of me.

I tried to look at each perspective.

Like, I know that Coach
is a straight shooter, so

I played a game of
straight shooter with Coach.

Ozzy's different.

He's emotional and he's heartfelt.

He played a different game and I could see
it.

And I tried to use all
these little things that

I learned about these
players to my advantage.

You good, Coach?

Secrets in this game, few and far between.

So, were there any secrets you had in this
game that you kept?

And if not, what was the strategy behind
not keeping any secrets?

And I guess we'll just start with Jonathan
and let all three of you answer.

So, one of the secrets that
I hid behind was I've been

trying to get Ozzy out
since before Stephanie left.

And I know that you called me out here at
Tribal.

But because I always tried to
emphasize on what you were

doing, I made it out that
you were lying and not me.

Because I knew... Can you
say whose idea that was, please?

That was my idea.

That was my idea to get Ozzy out.

It wasn't Stephanie's idea.

And you were a casualty, Miss Stephanie,
that I wish we didn't have.

I could have outed you if I wanted to.

I know you could.

And shout out to your outstanding social
game that Stephanie fell on the sword for

you, which really goes to show that you
exactly knew what the social game meant.

And that's something that
I thought I did better this

game, was that I saw
everybody's personalities better.

Like, when I saw Ozzy playing,
I knew that he had a different game.

And I knew that I couldn't compete with
it.

And that's the God honest truth.

Aubrey.

I'm going to talk about not keeping
secrets.

And one of the biggest things for me was
also Ozzy.

When my back was against the wall,
I went to you.

And you laid out your entire game to me in
that moment.

And it was very human.

You told me that you were in a final two
with Sari.

And I went back to these three guys.

And I let them know that they were not in
your endgame plan.

And I put the nail in the coffin.

And then I had to play dead the rest of the
afternoon so you wouldn't play your idol.

Before that happened,
though, I had already talked

to Miss Sari and
Tiffany at the other tribe.

Because I won the power broker advantage.

So I'd already set in motion that we're
going to get Ozzy out.

I'm sorry, but Joe was not sold on it
until I hard sold it to him.

So if I hadn't shared that with them,
I think I would have been going home.

And I don't think it would have galvanized
this four to go to the end.

I'd have to disagree.

I believe we would have voted Ozzy out
regardless.

I love the fight.

And I definitely, Joe, wouldn't let you
answer this question.

But Aubrey, I just want to go back to you
because that's a secret you gave up.

And I'm wondering, did you just always
give up everybody's secret?

I would selectively
share information that I

thought would build
trust with the other side.

So that they would have enough trust in me
to welcome me in.

That I had currency in the game that would
be useful to them.

Aubrey, the question is, did you keep any
secrets?

No, there's no secret I kept.

All I'm trying to say is that her strategy
was to not keep secrets.

That's how she gained currency by sharing
secrets.

Yeah, I was open in the game, Chrissy.

I didn't share every single piece of
information with anyone.

But nothing was sacred.

If I thought it could help me,
I used it to better position myself.

If I could chime in for a moment on that
last point.

I would like to hear your mentality,
Joe, in that moment during the Ozzy vote.

And what was it that sold you?

Okay, so my perspective of this,
to own it, was...

I personally feel that the
reason he went home the

way he did was because
he had the utmost trust in me.

And I feel when I looked him dead in the
eye and said, you can trust me...

I think you misunderstood the question.

Sorry.

What I'm saying is, was it ultimately the
information that Aubrey shared that made

you comfortable enough to make that
decision?

And I'm just really looking for a yes or
no.

When I think about, like, who do I want to
win Season 50?

Like, what would that person exemplify?

And there's different types of gameplay,

In my mind, there's the old school,
and there's the new era.

The old school is like, you work hard
around camp, and you win immunity

challenges, and you make good alliances,
and you earn people's trust.

And then the new school is like,
you make just these great strategic moves.

You maybe don't even get out of the
hammock all day.

You maybe don't even use a machete.

I don't know.

But I think to win 50, you need to have
all that.

I think you all did a great job.

But I honestly believe, Jonathan,
you truly did all that.

Like, when you needed to.

I want to talk about
adaptation, because Survivor

forces adaptation every
twist, every turn, every day.

I want to know one instance
from each of you where

you adapted and it got you
to where you are right now.

I'll go.

So I mentioned it, that I had to make this
game about me and my family, and I was

going to have to do things I didn't want
to do.

And so I had to adjust to this level of
players.

All of you sitting here now are some of
the best players to ever play.

I knew that if I didn't adapt and
basically say, Joe, you're going to have

to lie, then I would absolutely
unequivocally go home.

Just one thing.

So if you adapted, then
you would have to kind of

explain why there was
a term called a jotation.

And what a jotation is, is the fact that
every player here had to babysit you

through a vote and supervise you through a
vote.

We laughed about it and we said,
it's not my turn to watch, Joe,

because it was so difficult to get you
firm on any vote.

I would say, Sri, like, I respect your
opinion of babysitting, but it's mostly

that I can't let you know that,
hey, I'm going to start playing this game

lying and cheating because some of the
currency I had is I wanted to be trusted.

But I know this.

I had to cut you.

I lied to Tiffany's face as well.

I lied to Ozzie's face.

I actually appreciate that you had a game
that you wanted to play.

And there were times that you didn't just
change to consensus vote right away,

but you wanted time to think of your game
and what was best for you.

You're sitting in the final three.

It worked.

And I will say, to your credit,
Joe, I don't know why everybody felt the

need that they had to run
every single vote through

you, but every single
vote was run through you.

There is power in that.

A moment of adaptation
for me was that I came in

to the merge not exactly
knowing who to trust.

I was welcomed with open arms by
Christian, Emily, and Devins.

I worked with them.

They were a powerhouse.

But then people told me, you know,
everyone thinks you, Christian,

Emily, and Devins are the snakes in the
grass.

They're going to jump out later and get
everyone in this game.

So I knew that I had to separate myself so
I could readapt to another group because I

knew that my head was going to get chopped
off if I stayed with them.

I think that your ability to play the
middle is exemplary.

I really do.

I don't understand that.

Can you explain that to me?

Playing the middle?

Yeah.

I mean, Aubrey was a huge threat because
her ability to adapt to either side,

which was in a way very obvious because we
all saw it happening, and Jonathan and

Joe, you both said so many times,
get out the middle, get out the middle,

get out the middle, and here you are on
either side of the middle.

We should also let Jonathan answer the
question.

Yeah, I'm sorry.

What's one time that
you adapted and used it to

your advantage to get
yourself where you are?

I used, like, real-life things,
hard-to-hard conversations, but I used

that to help me blindside people,
and that was very difficult for me to do

because what I did in season 42 was
nothing like that.

Emily.

I just want to acknowledge
that obviously this is an

incredibly challenging
decision for us, genuinely.

So my question is about self-awareness.

I think one of the great virtues about
Survivor is having the ability to kind of

reflect upon yourself and grow a little
bit more self-aware through your game.

So I would like to
ask you all to offer one

critique of the game that
you played for season 50.

Aubrey can start.

We'll go Jonathan, then Joe.

I think one critique I have of my game is
my relationship with Stephanie.

I don't think I ever made
Stephanie feel comfortable, and I do

think that affected our ability
to work together post-merge.

Can I ask a follow-up?

So I think in terms of self-awareness and,
like, perception is kind of a big thing.

A big question I think a lot of people had
was, like, where is Aubrey's head at?

So I want to know, do you
feel like this perception of

not having much agency is
possibly a correct perception?

Well, I think I actually did have agency,
and I did know what I was doing,

but I understand how people could think
that.

I didn't try to overcorrect that because I
didn't want people to think that I really

was, like, trying to plot out each
movement I was making.

So I kind of let it be my cover as I moved
from group to group.

I just want to press
on that a little bit

because I do want to
understand this better.

During multiple tribal
councils, you said

that your strategy was
to leave the door open.

And I think leaving the
door open and allowing

other people to come
to you feels very passive.

So can you share specific
examples where you came

up with an idea, you
sold it, and executed it?

Well, I do think in part of the Christian
vote, I told Jonathan, if we do take

Christian out tonight,
it could be a big

move, and we could
potentially work together.

And I purposely left Emily and Devin's
out.

That was a time that I was driving a boat.

This is a good time to know that Rick
didn't give you the idol, Aubrey.

I did, so... That thing
was like a stink on me.

One of the biggest and most fearless moves
I made is I knew I had to give up that

idol if I was going to have a
shot of making true relationships

with other people that
are now sitting on the jury.

Jonathan, I'd also love to hear about a
time where you had agency, you drove a

boat, it was your idea, you followed
through with it.

Well, I mean, I did drive
the Ozzie boat, I drove

the Dee boat, and then
I drove the Camilla boat.

The reason I wanted to get
Camilla out was because I was

blindsided by Dee and
Camilla with the Charlie boat out.

And that's what started the beef to get
Dee out.

So the friction was there, and I turned it
up.

I wanted to get you as hyped
as I could so that people could

take the attention off of me or
whoever else and put it on you.

So I honestly had a big hand in getting
you out.

And so just to be clear, the whole Dee
blow up, that was planned by you?

Yes.

Wow.

In terms of a single
vote driven, I'll just be

transparent, like if the
answer is solo, I didn't.

Most of those were a collaboration.

And then a critique, there's a thousand of
them.

But I would say specifically my
interaction with Rick and how I handled

the argument that we had, I wish I would
have handled that differently.

And then the other big critique,
like opening my mouth to the wrong people,

like I was really bonding with Emily and I
didn't realize the relationship with Rick.

So when I was trying to get Rick out,
I'm sorry buddy, I was telling him

basically his left ear when I was
whispering in his right.

So I was telling Emily half the time,
so I probably look like a big bonehead.

So that's one of many of my critiques.

And the first time I played,
one thing I learned after

I was done was that Survivor
is actually about stories.

The stories that we tell each other.

You're all competing for the best story.

One of you is going to win.

What is that story?

So for me, when I think back in general to
my first season, I think for me I was

super proud that I was
able to help someone in

a moment of need that
went outside of the game.

But I think that kind of stuck me in a
corner.

And then I'm going to be
able to say, hey, he came back

and tried his best to adapt
to a new game in a new way.

And here's the end point.

This guy was able to go make it to the
final three in both seasons.

And on top of that, only have his name
written down one time.

One time.

And I want my legacy to be this.

When people watch me, they know one thing
about it.

Joe was always willing to be vulnerable.

That's going to be my legacy.

Yeah, so my story is there was
an anxious, nervous girl on the

Brains Tribe who came in and
had a panic attack on day two.

She was supposed to go home that night,
but somehow she gets to the final three.

Some say she should have won.

Some say she had no social game.

She didn't care what they said.

She comes back right after that for
Survivor Game Changers.

And somehow she gets to the final five.

She came back for Survivor, the Edge of
Extinction.

Everyone loved her.

She was the underdog.

And then she fell from grace and left
Survivor World completely.

And then she really took some time to work
on herself.

And she came back for Survivor 50.

She played this game for 137 days.

She changed who she was.

She changed how she played.

She did everything to get to the end.

I just want to show people that it doesn't
matter who you are, your brain,

brawn, your beauty.

If you believe in yourself, you can outlast
more than you ever thought you could.

You can push, and you can get to the end,
and you can evolve just like Survivor.

And so what's Jonathan's story?

Man, there's this big
guy that played in Season

42, but this time he's
not just some big guy.

He's playing a dangerous game.

I did my homework.

I did everything that I was supposed to
do.

I worked on my speaking.

I worked on my puzzles.

I worked on my balance.

I worked harder than anybody that I saw.

My social game, if it was following Rick
Devins, if it was trying to fight with

Dee, if it was trying to work
with Coach, Chrissy, Stephanie,

Ozzy, every outlet that I
tried, it was all to get here.

You know, I thought
Hubicki had a really great

question when he
said, Tell me your story.

What is your story?

So what was different?

Because I remember
day two of your first

season and we thought,
Well, she's early gone.

And here you are winning one of the
biggest seasons of all time.

What was different about who you are now?

I mean, Jeff, I've come in
second place, gone deep

scrapping, flopped really
hard with an idol in my pocket.

And I came back and I was more intuitive.

I trusted myself.

I moved differently.

And most importantly,
I learned from all the

incredible players
and winners before me.

Sandra taught me to be more direct and not
cagey.

Sarah Lucina taught me to plot way ahead
of time.

Underwood taught me that you can win at
the 11th hour.

And Michelle taught me so many lessons.

So it was such a celebration of all these
incredible players.

I say thank you for everything that you've
given to Survivor.

Well, congratulations.

You really sat in the pocket this season.

And we all saw it.

Thank you.

Jonathan, you know, it's hard to lose.

But I gotta just point out that when you
get three votes at the final tribal,

that's a big deal.

That's three people who thought you
deserved to win this season.

And the thing that impressed me most about
you, and I think it probably did a lot of

people, is as you said, people saw me the
first time as this big guy who could lift

a human over my head and save him in a
challenge.

You played a really finesse game.

And I just want to know, are you proud of
that game, seeing it back?

Mr. Jeff, I'm so proud.

I played the best game that I could.

For four years.

For four years, I thought
about Survivor every

day and how I'd play
the game differently.

And I had somebody I could bounce ideas
off, like Boston Robb.

And that was a big, big moment for me to
come out here and play 50.

And I feel like I finished in such a way
that I am proud of.

And not just that, Mr. Jeff, but I heard
the third time's the charm.

Joe, I have a question for you,
because, you know, you get labeled with

this honor and integrity thing,
and it's true, but I wondered

at times if you thought this
game design was too much.

What did you think of the constant twist
coming from how you see the world?

I mean, I'm gonna tell you the truth,
Jeff.

Like, I think that the twists and
everything that you guys had in the game

was perfect, because it just put everybody
on their heels in terms of veteran

players, new players, but what it really
showed me was that when you have some real

trauma in your life and you've been
through some real things and you have the

chance to be put on a stage
with a game that tests that and

you can make it through it,
nobody can take that from you.

Congratulations, you did very well,
two times!
