I won't let any of you escape.

Die.

May the anger of the gods sear through your very souls.

Megiddo!

Report.

4,214 deaths confirmed.

4,803.

5,575.

Reyhiem! What's this? What now? What should we do?

Let's calm down first! We must remain calm!

Is King Edmaris still okay?

-What are you doing? Protect our king! -Yes, sir!

Folgen!

Hurry! We must get out of here!

We must return to our home and regroup our forces!

Indeed. We have no idea what has occurred.

We must leave at once, or else we will get caught in this carnage as well.

Shogo? No, you are...

It is me, Razen, Your Highness.

Oh, Razen! You did well coming back!

Now let's go home right away, using your Teletransportation Magic!

Unfortunately, I can't use any magic because of this Anti-Magic Area.

-What? -What?

Then...

Do not worry, Your Highness, Archbishop Reyhiem.

I can use my Unique Skill, Spearhead,

to force our surviving troops to group together.

They will serve as body shields to protect both of you.

Oh, I knew I could count on you, Folgen!

We're counting on you, Sir Folgen!

I will go and gather our troops.

Please prepare for the retreat.

It shall be done!

I'll die!

Everyone will die!

It can't be! Just what is happening?

That is...

It can't be!

Are you the ruler of the monsters?

That face...

Are you Japanese?

Are you one of the Otherworlders who attacked my town?

Just the body.

It's a different guy inside.

I see.

Well, you're still my enemy anyway.

No way! Razen, too?

Picking a fight with a nation of monsters was a mistake all along!

What should I do? What can I do to survive this?

Oh, wait. This could be a chance.

He's the kind of guy who's overjoyed doing trades

with a small country like Blumund.

He'll surely prostrate himself before me

once he learns that I'm the king of the great Farmus Kingdom!

Spare...

Please spare us!

Confirmed.

The Unique Skill, Merciless, was successfully obtained.

Merciless? What's that?

Are you the ruler of the nation of monsters?

I am Edmaris, the king of Farmus Kingdom!

Bow before me, for we have matters to discuss!

Are you a Body Double or something?

Don't worry. I won't lay a hand on the real thing.

He is not a Body Double!

I swear by my name, Reyhiem, archbishop of the Western Holy Church!

All right. I will kill everyone except for the king, okay?

-What? -What?

Kill everyone?

Wait! Please! I beg you! Please give me your mercy!

I wield great power within the Western Holy Church.

I will gladly testify that none of you is an enemy to mankind!

Wait!

I told you we have matters to discuss!

What is it? I'll listen.

How rude!

I am the king of the great Farmus Kingdom, you know!

Normally, I wouldn't even deign to speak to the likes of you...

Listen. Take a closer look at who you're talking to before speaking.

I will allow you to speak, but you better pick your words properly.

It was just a misunderstanding!

Which part?

I came here to form a friendly relationship with your country!

You declared war on us out of nowhere. What nonsense are you saying now?

From the moment there were casualties on my side, all of you are my enemies.

The Western Holy Church sees all monsters as enemies!

So I wanted to check for myself to see if it was worth it to make peace with you!

The Otherworlders just started the war on their own!

How about this?

I will allow you to forge a formal relationship with my country.

Wouldn't that be wonderful? A great honor, if I say so myself!

You will profit greatly from it, I'm sure.

Well, as for the reparations for what you have done...

Is this guy a genius or what?

Just how far does he want to piss me off with this?

What do you think?

What?

Report.

The Unique Skill, Merciless, has been completely analyzed.

With it, you can seize the souls of those

who are begging for their lives or seeking help.

Which means?

Those who lose their will to fight in front of this skill will die.

I see.

Anyway, do we have enough souls we need?

57,235% of the required number has been acquired.

Not enough, huh?

If so...

Merciless, huh?

I don't think I can make much use of it, but it seems to fit this situation.

Question. Use the Unique Skill, Merciless?

Yes.

With the Unique Skill, Merciless,

the souls of all the humans in the area have been harvested.

However, the individuals, Edmaris and Reyhiem, have been excluded.

It's really merciless.

What happened?

Report.

Confirming the number of human souls necessary to cause the seed to sprout,

the condition for evolution.

Confirmed.

Requirement has been fulfilled.

Evolution to Demon Lord, Harvest Festival, will now begin.

Crap.

I got really sleepy.

Report.

One survivor was detected through Magic Sense.

Come on. Really?

Anyway, I must get out of this situation somehow.

Report.

Harvest Festival cannot be stopped midway.

This is bad.

Ranga.

Yes, My Lord?

This is a top priority order.

Protect me and take me back to the town.

Yes!

Take those two as our prisoners.

Understood.

I sensed one more enemy presence. What should I do with it?

I'll leave it to the other guys.

Anti-Magic Area, dispel.

Activate Demon Summon.

I offer all the corpses lying here.

Here, I prepared you food.

Heed my call, Demon. Come up and serve me!

Demon?

Hey, there's one guy hiding here, pretending to be dead.

Capture him alive.

This familiar presence,

the birth of a new Demon Lord.

It is truly wonderful.

Bountiful offerings and the first order from my master.

It is such an honor, I might be unable to hold down my excitement.

I have been waiting for this day!

Would it be all right for me to continue serving you in the future?

We can talk later.

First, prove how useful you can be.

Go.

It's an easy feat.

Rest assured, Master.

Report.

The individual, Rimuru Tempest, will now evolve into a Demon Lord.

Harvest Festival is about to begin.

This is...

...the Voice of the World.

Upon its completion,

all monsters in his genealogy will receive their due Gifts.

Lord Rimuru!

Brace yourselves!

Our master is victorious!

It is now time for us to wield our power!

Lord Rimuru!

Our Lord needs help!

Get him a mantle.

His Thermal Fluctuation Resistance might not be working.

-Yes, sir! -I'm glad you're okay.

Lord Rimuru.

Please don't turn into a different person as a Demon Lord and go berserk on us.

Report. Harvest Festival has begun.

The body will be reconstructed

and will evolve into that of a new species.

Confirmed.

Super Evolution from Slime to Demon Slime.

Successful.

All physical ability has been enhanced greatly.

Material and spiritual bodies can now be transformed freely.

Next, reacquiring intrinsic skills and resistance.

Successful.

Acquiring new Unique Skills.

Infinite Regeneration, Universal Detect, Lord's Ambition,

Enhanced Replication, and Universal Thread.

Successful.

Acquiring new resistance.

Natural Element Nullification, Ailment Nullification,

Spiritual Attack Resistance, and Holy Attack Resistance.

Successful.

Evolution is now complete.

Report.

Unique Skill, Great Sage, address a petition to the Voice of the World.

Great Sage is requesting evolution.

Confirmed.

Unique Skill, Great Sage's request accepted.

Unique Skill, Great Sage, attempting evolution.

Failed.

Re-executing.

Failed.

Re-executing.

Failed. Re-executing.

Re-executing. Failed.

Re-executing. Failed.

Failed.

Failed.

Report.

Unique Skill, Great Sage, will sacrifice Degenerate

to gain the Gift from Harvest Festival.

Attempting to evolve.

Successful.

Unique Skill, Great Sage, has evolved into Ultimate Skill, Raphael.

Petition to evolve Gluttony. Executing by sacrificing Merciless.

Successful.

Unique Skill, Gluttony, has evolved into Ultimate Skill, Beelzebub.

I managed to stay alive thanks to Survivor.

To think he would be able to pierce through my head in an instant like that.

I will now capture you.

Feel free to resist.

I will not kill you, however, I am not prohibited from tormenting you.

Keep that in mind.

Oh, so you're going to be my opponent?

Opponent?

You're quite a comedian, I must say.

Who are you calling a comedian, you putrid Greater Demon?

Very well. This will be fun.

Allow me to join you for some after-meal exercise.

Don't underestimate me.

Nuclear Magic!

Nuclear Cannon!

He reflected it?

No, trigger-type magic prepared in advance has a slim chance of failing.

That magic just now was quite impressive.

You just got lucky!

Well, how about this?

Spirit Summoning!

Come, War Gnome!

High-level spirit of the earth's foundation!

I see.

Certainly, demons are strong against angels,

angels are strong against spirits,

and spirits are strong against demons.

Based on this three-way relationship,

calling a high-level spirit was the correct choice.

However...

What is it?

It's too young.

What?

See?

It lacks accumulation.

A mere puppet with nothing but pure strength is no match for me.

It can't be! That was a spirit!

A high-level spirit!

Could it be? Are you an Arch Demon?

Enough magic.

I would like to test out more of this body my master has provided me.

Let's change our method.

Anti-Magic Area?

Why did you seal our magic?

Magic is a demon's greatest weapon!

Feel free to attack me with whatever physical attack you prefer.

Arch Demon or not, it doesn't matter!

A demon with no magic is no match for me!

Unique Skill, Berserker!

Those golden eyes

and crimson pupils!

This overwhelming power!

It can't be.

No way!

Could you possibly be the Primal?

Oh, my, you sure know your stuff.

It seems like you're quite smart.

What horrifying being did that monster

unleash upon this world?

Oh, my, you're done already?

Well then, now that my first job is done,

time to go to my master for his praise.

Report.

The individual Rimuru Tempest's Harvest Festival is now complete.

Lord Rimuru...

...is now a Demon Lord.

Monsters in his genealogy will now receive their Gifts.

Gifts?

What?

So this is...

...Gift?

I feel strongly connected

to Lord Rimuru even more than ever.

My Lord...

Report. Leave the rest to me and fall asleep.

Yes.

Demon Lord?

Did he do it?

Report.

By the name of Raphael, I command thee.

Beelzebub, consume all the Magicules within this barrier.

Do not leave even a single fragment of soul behind.

He gathered all the Magicules in the area?

Is that a spirit?

An Arch Demon?

I am back, Master.

Normally, I would wait until the ceremony was done.

Please forgive my rudeness.

It seems to me you do not have enough Magicule in hand.

Yes.

The stipulated amount of Magicule is not met.

I will substitute it by consuming my life force.

Please wait, Master.

I have a good idea.

There is no need for you to consume your life force.

Please use these two.

They would be honored to be able to serve you.

To do so is what gives us the most joy.

Understood.

They can compensate for the lacking Magicule.

That offer is accepted.

Beelzebub.

Oh, how I envy them.

Excuse me.

The prescribed amount of Magicule has been reached.

I will now conduct the Secret Art of Revival.

Apprising analyzation.

The ultimate secret art of souls!

Are you telling me that's a Demon Lord that was born just a few minutes ago?

Not even Lord Carrion can do this.

Wonderful!

I must have him let me be at his service no matter what.

The Secret Art of Revival.

Also known as the Secret Art of Resurrection.

An enormous amount of Magicule is needed to make it happen.

And the magic required to control it is beyond anyone could imagine.

The success rate is 3,14%.

However, that percentage was calculated before I transformed into a Demon Lord.

Now that I have evolved...

Next time, "The Unleashed."
