As you've all heard...

Jung Yoo Gun is now an IRIS operative

and the assassin who killed Park Chul Young.

Wasn't the one who shot you, Team Leader Jung?

And he's very dangerous as our enemy.

You give us Baek San and we hand over Jung Yoo Gun to you.

You have one day to accept.

I'm all for exchanging Baek San for Jung Yoo Gun.

Someone tried to kill you in Hungary.

I wonder who ordered to have you killed?

All those who ally with the People's Republic are my enemies.

If we want to find out what Choi Min got out of Baek San...

we may have to extract all of the top classified information from the NSS.

Do you want to see Team Leader Jung come back alive?

Then find out a way to rescue Yoo Gun without giving up Baek San.

Is this Yoo Sang Joon?

This is Yoo Sang Joon.

Why should I agree to it?

Because Jung Yoo Gun's father...

is you.

Episode 12

Are you ready?

The question is...

are you ready?

As soon as we exchange Baek San with Team Leader Jung...

Baek San will immediately jump into the ocean.

What will happen to Baek San after he jumps into the ocean?

The scuba divers on standby underwater will assist him to point X.

We'll make the exchange at 12 o'clock sharp.

Don't forget the promise you made with me.

I'm never going back to IRIS.

Good luck.

Hey, Rey.

Don't forget me.

How could I?

Long time no see...

Team Leader Jung.

Please stay alive.

I have to something I need to ask you.

Team Leader Jung.

For assisting IRIS...

and for the murder of the North Korean Representatives...

you are under arrest.

Welcome, Sir.

Team Leader Ji.

Secure Baek San first.

Yes.

Start searching the surrounding area.

Over here!

He's been stabbed with a dagger.

What about Baek San?

He disappeared.

What do you mean he disappeared?

He killed two scuba divers and disappeared.

Okay.

What happened to Baek San?

We're looking for him.

We're all getting tricked by him.

Can't you see it?

You let that traitor walk around in broad daylight...

Since things turned out this way...

I'm going to be in command from now on.

Including finding Baek San and interrogating Jung Yoo Gun.

I mean everything.

You just sit back and watch.

Except for the A Team, all other teams will focus on tracing Baek San.

- Excuse me? - Finding Baek San is the top priority.

Yes, I understand.

Where is Jung Yoo Gun?

He's in the interrogation room.

It's been a long time.

How have you been?

Hyun Woo.

How is Soo Yun?

When did your... memory return?

Was it before... or after you shot Soo Yun?

Why did you come back?

It would've been better...

Jung Yoo Gun spent almost a year with IRIS operatives.

We need to find out everything he learned about IRIS.

I know.

So... it wouldn't be a good idea for A Team agents to interrogate Jung Yoo Gun.

We need to bring back Team Leader Hwang who was dispatched to the NIS.

When it comes to internal affairs, he's the right person for it.

Do as you please.

This is Choi Min.

Did you find Baek San, yet?

We're looking for him.

You must be quite concerned.

Is there anything I can do for you?

I'll get to the point.

Jung Yoo Gun, who kidnapped Representative Kwon...

and killed the entire North Korean party.

I'll personally interrogate him.

We'll be interrogating him first.

If you are a guest, you should act like one.

The result of the interrogation will be reported at a later date.

Captain.

If it isn't an urgent matter, tell me later.

You need to look at it now.

What kind of bullshit is this?

The Chairman of the National Defense Commission has

ordered our immediate return to the Republic.

I believe pushing to have the missile launched

without the permission of the Central Committee has backfired.

There has been continuous protest from the U.S., China and Russia.

Before the NSS arrives, you should hurry and get out of here.

We have to rush our operation.

It's been a long time.

You've gone through a lot so far.

Your clothes and cellphone are ready in the trunk.

Jung Yoo Gun. Try to remember me.

- Jung Yoo Gun. - What are you waiting for?

- Jung Yoo Gun! - Take the shot.

Was it IRIS's order to kill Park Chul Young?

I didn't kill him.

You said you lost your memory.

Even if you had lost your memory...

you should take responsibility for what you've done.

I'm saying I'm not the one who shot him.

You're still going to deny it when we have clear evidence right in front of you?

I'm telling you the truth.

Fine. Other than Park Chul Young, there are many things we can talk about.

Kwon Young Choon... where have you hidden him?

Did you kill him also?

So you are Ken.

Did you find a way to avoid the CCTVs?

I've found ways to avoid them as much as possible.

It won't be getting a full frontal shot of you.

You can follow him from now on.

I'll leave the rest up to you.

Let's go.

- If you aren't going to say anything... - Yes, I will.

I'll cooperate as much as I can in catching IRIS.

If you want me to catch them, I will.

There is an IRIS commander that delivers orders to Rey.

They call him Mr. Black.

Mr. Black?

We need to hurry up and find out what Baek San is hiding.

What is he hiding?

What does IRIS want from Baek San?

What do we have to find?

All traces of him disappeared about 300 meters from the meeting point.

He must have used other means to transport himself.

Look into that.

Team Leader Jung?

He's in the interrogation room.

Would you like to go in?

Not yet.

What did Section Chief Oh say?

If there are any remaining bullet fragments in Team Leader Jung's head...

that means they're pressing against his frontal lobe.

In that case, he could act like he has a completely different personality.

A different personality?

Yes.

He could either display extremely violent behavior

or...

he may not be able to control his emotions which in turn could lead to self-abusive behavior.

Should I increase... the number in the guard team?

No, it's enough as it is.

Yes.

Did you stop drinking coffee?

Yes, because I can't sleep.

I see.

And... have you found traces of Baek San, yet?

I'm sorry. We'll try to find him as soon as possible.

And...

Please pardon Team Leader Jung Yoo Gun.

You're being too hasty.

It's only been hours since we caught him.

I'm not sure what your thoughts are on this but...

Team Leader Jung is just my subordinate who returned after being injured during a mission.

You don't make such a special request for just any subordinate.

Team Leader Jung received a gunshot wound to the head...

during the mission to reveal IRIS's spy inside the NSS.

Because of that mission, we did in fact find the spy.

In Hungary, the one who protected Representative Jo Myung Ho...

and the one who arrested and handed over terrorist Kim Yun Hwa to the North...

was also Team Leader Jung.

Do you think Jung Yoo Gun is trustworthy?

We've already experienced in the past

how frightening it is when a capable individual turns into an enemy.

I'll vouch for him.

Please pardon him.

And as soon as you pardon him, I'll relieve him of his duty.

You want to let him go after he's been pardoned?

Why?

Even though he's a capable agent and he did those things after losing his memory...

I don't think it's appropriate for him to return to the NSS regardless.

I don't understand it, but do as you wish.

Are you looking for this?

I thought you were dead at the time.

There are a lot of people who are supposed to be dead but actually alive.

You're one of them.

It's a miracle that you're alive.

Jung Soo Min is dead.

Don't make me tell you again.

You probably suspect it already but...

the one who killed your woman and you...

it's your superior Jim Jung Yong.

And do you even know who those scientists were that you killed?

I didn't...

They were the scientists who were working on the nuclear program

the President has been pushing ahead.

That's why they couldn't let you go alive.

Because of me...

even an innocent woman was...

All of the top classified information from the Central Intelligence Service (CIS)

and the Presidential House...

are being leaked to the CIA dogs.

Even the important information such as the nuclear development.

What can I do?

We need to clear out the dogs.

First, we need to take care of Kim Jung Yong and everyone from the CIS.

I've reported this to the President already.

I understand.

Soo Min... is she really alive?

Just as Yoo Sang Joon lived his second life as Baek San...

Jung Soo Min also lived her second life.

Under the name of Jung Ji Young.

Why?

Why the hell... didn't you tell me back then?

I thought at the time, that was the best way to keep you two alive.

Where is Soo Min... now?

You came back?

Yeah.

Thank you for...

coming back.

I'm sorry.

I can't think of anything else to say.

I'm sorry, Soo Yun.

That's okay.

That's okay.

I injected him with a local anesthetic so he won't feel any pain for several days.

During that time, wherever he is, we'll be able to trace his location.

Would you please keep this a secret for a while?

Okay, I'll do that.

But... is there a special reason why we have to keep this a secret?

You'll know later.

What happened to tracing Baek San?

I've sent his montage to the police.

His profile will be switched to the national wanted list today.

We are accessing the police communication system.

Please stay alive.

I have to something I need to ask you.

You don't need to get up.

I have to leave soon.

Internal Affairs has sent me a summons.

Why are you digging up my affairs with Lee Soo Jin now?

This is something we had to deal with at some point.

You must be trying to avoid being held accountable

for losing Baek San by kicking me out.

What are you planning to do after kicking me out to the National Intelligence Service?

I think you've gone too far.

Do as you please.

You want me to take over the TF-A Team?

While I am at the National Intelligence Agency...

I want you to take over the situation room as the Chief in charge.

By any chance...

do you want me to watch Deputy Director Choi Min?

In order to catch IRIS, Choi Min won't refuse any means, even if it's illegal.

Consider that you're doing this for the country and watch her thoroughly.

But still...

What's the matter?

I'll be back soon.

Were you looking for me?

Yeah... you...

Weren't you close to Jung Yoo Gun?

Yes.

What about now?

Do you trust him now?

I'm not sure what you are getting at.

It's just as you heard.

I'm asking you whether you can still trust someone

who's acted as an IRIS operative for the past year.

Jung Yoo Gun will be freed soon.

Already?

The pardon request the Deputy Director made to the President was granted.

To get to IRIS...

she wants have exclusive access to the information Jung Yoo Gun has on them.

You should form a watch team for Jung Yoo Gun.

Excuse me?

Someone has to do it.

I thought you were the best person to do it.

I'm sorry. I would like you to find someone else for the task.

What the hell did you say?

Do you think this is a kid's playground or something?

We have no idea what Jung Yoo Gun has been doing while he was gone.

Or whether he's been brainwashed and came back as a double agent.

On top of that, he almost killed Ji Soo Yun.

That's fine.

I'll do it.

Good... you're doing the right thing.

Form a team as soon as possible.

Keep it a secret and report to me if you notice anything.

Team Leader Jung will receive a special pardon and be released soon.

But he's going to be relieved from the NSS.

He's going to be under house arrest for some time.

He won't be able to contact anyone outside either.

I arranged for you to have special access to his place, so take good care of him.

He's probably still in shock.

Yes, I understand.

Who... is it?

It can't be...

It can't be you.

I'm sorry.

I came really late, didn't I?

You're going to follow me into the bathroom?

Tell me about Mr. Black.

He is in charge of all the IRIS activities in East Asia.

Including Rey, all of the IRIS operatives will only follow his orders.

Other than the code name 'Black', nothing is known about him.

Do you think Yoo Joong Won is also receiving his orders?

I was the one who took Kwon Young Choon from the talk site...

but the one who handed him over to me was Yoo Joong Won.

Yoo Joong Won did?

Kwon Young Choon and Yoo Joong Won...

masterminded the assassination of the entire North Korean party.

But still, we don't have any evidence that they staged the whole thing.

Yoo Joong Won and IRIS have another plan.

When I was detained in Japan, Rey told me this.

IRIS's ultimate goal is...

carrying out nuclear terrorism in both Seoul and Pyongyang.

The reason why they want Baek San is...

because he knows the location of five nuclear weapons he's hidden.

You knew about it already.

We wasted too much time.

The oppositions within the Republic have started making their moves.

Expand the search area to the 10 kilometer radius.

Understood.

What happened?

We checked every single CCTV within the two kilometer radius around the hotel

but we couldn't locate him.

Baek San and now Yoo Joong Won...

it's the worst.

I heard... Team Leader Jung was released.

Would he be rejoining the A Team?

Jung Yoo Gun is no longer an NSS agent.

Don't misunderstand that part.

This is the suspect who might have broken into our server yesterday.

This is the shot from when she entered the building.

We also found the shot when she entered from the outside.

We are reverse tracing her now.

I want Byung Jin and Ji Hyun in my room now.

Baek San, Yoo Joong Won and now this woman who broke into our server...

So many things happened all at once so we need summarize what happened again.

- Yes. - Yes.

Find out about this woman.

Once you have the lead, I'll send you the operation team so go and make an arrest.

Understood.

But where is Seo Hyun Woo?

Well... that's...

What?

Do we really have to do this?

It's not like we don't know him.

We're invading his personal space.

I'm not happy about doing this either.

But if not us, someone else would've had to do it.

Still not crazy about it.

Let's go.

You probably heard from the Deputy Director but...

when you go outside, an agent will need to accompany you for a while.

You aren't allowed to use cellphones either.

Don't think of it as a house arrest... but just try to relax and get some rest.

There is nothing to eat here...

so I'll go get something to eat.

While I was staying here and following the lead from the information you left...

I found out that Ui Sang Chul is still alive.

So I went to meet Ui Sang Chul myself.

I found out... the truth about your father and Baek San.

I thought a lot about how I should tell you this.

But I decided it'd be best if you heard it directly from Ui Sang Chul.

I'll get permission to go out in a few days. Let's go together then.

Get yourself comfortable. I'm going to the grocery store now.

It's already spring.

Soon... this area will be filled with wild flowers.

I guess you still like flowers.

As I grow older, I seem to like them more.

By the way... were you married?

If you are talking about a false marriage, yes, I'd been married.

You know the nature of what I used to do.

Ah... you were still...

He's using Team Leader Ji's cellphone.

- Should I report that? - Just leave it alone.

Yes.

I got some food and drinks.

Did you get to speak to your mother?

She wasn't answering.

Did she go out?

I'm sorry. I have to go back.

Okay.

I'll finish up quickly and come back soon.

I'm sure she'll be back by then.

We've been found out.

What do we do now?

I'm sorry.

I can't think of anything else to say.

Mr. Jung Yoo Gun, you can't come outside of the house.

Team Leader Jung.

Who ordered this?

Tell me Seo Hyun Woo. Who ordered you to do this?

I can't tell you.

Tell me!

Even if there wasn't an order...

I still would have done the same thing.

You shot...

Soo Yun.

Would you be able to trust someone like that?

Stop it, Seo Hyun Woo.

What the hell are you talking about?

You also know how that happened, and under what circumstance.

She's here.

Kim Yun Hwa! What happened to you?

Why the hell do you look like that now?

Is that all you can say to someone who nearly died and came back?

- What? I was worried... - That's enough.

I'm going to wash up first.

After I wash up, we need to talk.

Hey, hey, hey!

You better answer truthfully to everything I ask you from now on.

You're scaring me.

- Who the hell are you? - What?

What are you talking about all of a sudden?

Are you the free spirit I saw in Cambodia or...

are you the Deputy Chief of the army of the People's Republic?

If not... are you the murderer who allied with IRIS

and killed the entire North Korean peace party?

Which one is really you?

Hey, Kim Yun Hwa. You need to ask one thing at a time.

Do you think I have several mouths or something?

If you corner me like that, even I'm going to be confused about who I am.

Don't change the subject.

If you intend to go back and pledge your loyalty to the Republic...

You're absolutely mistaken.

Today... I received the purge order from the North

and was almost forced to return but barely escaped.

You should get things straight before talking!

What the hell are you talking about?

If you can't believe it, ask Park Choon Sung.

You don't know now... but I do have a plan.

Until I have the power to take revenge on the North...

I have something I must do here.

And...

I wasn't going to say this but...

my mother has been sent to the Gyeonghueng coal mine concentration camp because of me.

Does it make you happy to pick on me when I'm going through so much?

Is that really true?

But... but why are you telling me this now?

I just saw you now so I'm telling you now. When could I have told you this?

Yun Hwa.

You listen to me now.

As much as you want to, no, probably more than you do...

I want to take revenge on the North.

- Do you understand? - How?

- When? - We just need to find Baek San.

Then we'll have a way.

So... you should help me, too.

Your mother, my mother and my brother Seung Won...

Let's take revenge on the North together.

You swear this is true, right?

- If not, then I'm going to... - Kill me, yes.

Look into my eyes.

Yun Hwa.

You should trust me now.

Can you do that for me?

I'm sorry... Baek San.

No, Yoo Sang Joon.

The only things left from my life are... excuses.

I'm not going to live that long anyway.

I'm glad to see you well.

I've been hearing about you through Park Tae Hee.

You must have received the summons from the party but I'm glad that you escaped.

Don't worry too much.

Once our plan has been completed, I'll have you pardoned immediately.

Yes.

Don't be afraid.

There's no room for fear when it comes to the welfare of the Republic.

Of course. That's the way it should be.

I do have something I want to tell you.

All of the IRIS operatives have been killed.

And even Rey's been arrested by the NSS after being injured.

We don't even know whether he's alive or not.

So?

So... Mr. Black will try to form a new group.

Since Park Tae Hee and I already have a group formed...

help me get Mr. Black to work with us.
