(Ms. Incognito)

(This drama is fictional, and any resemblance

to real people or events is coincidental.)

Goodbye, Ms. Bu Se Mi.

Miss, are you okay?

Ms. Hye Ji.

Dong Min, Ms. Hye Ji!

Miss.

Wake up, okay?

Ms. Hye Ji.

Ms. Hye Ji.

Ms. Hye Ji, stay with me!

Ms. Hye Ji.

(Episode 9)

Tae Min! Tae Min!

Let me through.

Oh, my, what happened?

Dong Min, you saw the culprit's face, right?

It's Gil Ho Se.

The kindergarten shuttle bus driver?

He probably hasn't left Muchang yet.

Who reported this though?

Ms. Hye Ji called in a panic, so we all rushed out right away.

- Are you the guardian? - Yes.

- Get in. - What are you doing? Hurry up.

Keep her safe. I'll contact you.

Go now.

What is happening?

Wait...

What is happening?

Yes, Mi Seon.

Yes.

Miss!

Don't move yet.

Where's Ms. Baek Hye Ji?

She's in surgery now.

Heavenly gods and generals.

Please save her.

I beg you, I beg you.

God, Buddha, anyone who's listening. Please save Hye Ji.

I'll do anything you ask. Please, please, I beg of you.

(Operating Room)

Miss.

Madam.

You're alive.

What happened to him? Did he die?

No, I lost him.

Attorney Lee.

Ms. Baek Hye Ji is badly injured.

You're unharmed, Madam?

Please help us get her to Seoul quickly.

Yes, I'll handle it right away.

And I think we need to change our plan.

Understood.

Eat first before anything else.

Instead of leisurely eating, find Ga Seon Woo first, got it?

Don't worry.

These educated punks have no manners.

Boss.

The price dropped by 10 million won overnight.

According to that punk,

he saw him taking a taxi and running off.

So start by checking the cab companies that came to the hotel that day.

- Yes. - Yes.

(Mom)

The subscriber you have dialed is not available. You'll be connected to the voice mail.

Miss.

Ju Won.

You're going somewhere?

Well...

You promised not to go anywhere.

Right?

Are you really leaving?

Ju Won.

I have something to take care of, so I'll be back shortly.

Then you'll come back, right?

Then write down your number here.

I'll check in with you every night.

Wait.

Here.

Miss.

Yes?

Where's the bracelet I gave you?

Ta-da.

I kept it safe in case it gets damaged.

Then I'll make another for you.

It's a lucky bracelet. Wear it every day, okay?

Promise me.

I promise.

Alright, it's a lucky bracelet.

(Intensive Care Unit)

Hye Ji, are you okay?

Why? Where are you going?

We're transferring the patient to Gaseong Hospital in Seoul.

Who authorized this?

Someone claiming to be Kim Yeong Ran's agent contacted us directly.

- An agent? - Yes.

By the way, who is Seo Tae Min?

That's, that's me.

They approved your company as guardian.

Thank you.

Dong Min, I...

Hye Ji.

Ms. Bu Se Mi.

She could've told me she was leaving.

Welcome back, Madam.

Shall we eat this?

What are you doing?

Are you really Madam?

You look like you just saw a ghost.

That's not it...

Since you're preparing food, please serve Madam's meal too.

Yes, understood.

Kim Yeong Ran has really returned.

This place hasn't changed at all.

Except for Chairman's absence.

That's the biggest change.

What about my request?

As you instructed, Ms. Baek Hye Ji

is being transferred to Gaseong Hospital.

She'll undergo immediate reoperation.

Place her in the best ward.

Please make sure the security is airtight.

We'll get it ready.

Oh, what about the kindergarten?

No need to worry about that either.

My sister runs it,

and I'll send a substitute teacher from Iseon Women's University.

Madam.

Could you explain the revised plan?

We'll confront Ga Seon Yeong head-on.

While I buy time through direct confrontation,

you must secure that video Ga Seon Woo possesses.

Direct confrontation? What exactly do you mean?

I'll hold a press conference.

The 29-year-old bodyguard who married Chairman Ga Sung Ho.

Everyone's curious about that, right?

Are you saying you'll reveal your face?

Do you think Ga Seon Yeong will just stand by?

By revealing my face, Ga Seon Yeong won't be able to kill me easily.

I'm asking as Chairman's personal attorney.

What happens if I fail to secure Ga Seon Woo's video?

What about Chairman's revenge?

Will all of that be in vain?

You're not planning to reveal your face,

take the inheritance publicly,

and then live comfortably, are you?

What Chairman truly wanted

was to make his daughter's killers pay for their crimes.

Even if everything fails,

I'll personally kill Ga Seon Yeong myself.

If that's the case...

Professor.

I didn't expect you to accept this, thank you.

If I can help, I will gladly do so.

(Inmate ID Card)

(Gil Tae)

Today, I'd like to try psychodrama therapy with this inmate.

Gil Tae is the inmate least receptive to rehabilitation.

He's already been denied parole twice.

No remorse shown for killing his parents.

Are you sure about this?

Yes.

(Gil Tae, Patricide, Arson)

(Inmate Psychodrama Rehabilitation Program)

From now on, I'll be acting as your mother, Gil Tae.

Try to slowly remember that day.

The day you killed your mother.

Ready?

Gil Tae.

You useless, worthless parasite.

Do you know what I went through feeding trash like you?

I'm sick to death of it.

Stop wasting food and go die somewhere.

Just die already!

What did you ever do besides giving birth to me?

Does popping me out make you a mother?

Stop your stupid nagging and go die.

Someone like you shouldn't have been born!

Ugh, I don't want to hear such trash.

Ugh, I don't want to hear such trash.

I don't want to hear it.

Die! Just die!

- Hey! - Stop that!

Just die! Die! Just die!

Die. Just die.

Are you okay?

Yes, I'm fine.

- Stay still! - Wait a second.

It's okay, let him go.

It's not over yet. Please let him go.

Your parents were devils.

I would've killed them too if I were you.

I completely understand how you felt.

You understand me?

You killed devils.

Congratulations.

You heard you passed the parole review, right?

(Gil Ho Se)

To celebrate your fresh start, I thought of a new name.

Gil Ho Se.

How is it?

Is this my name now?

Professor.

Thank you so much.

Who is this?

A devil.

(Inmate Psychodrama Rehabilitation Program)

Ho Se.

Do you remember this photo?

Yes, Professor.

You've kept it too, Professor.

Of course.

It's a memory of you.

I still think about you from back then sometimes.

But you seem different lately.

I haven't changed at all, Professor.

The life I'm living now is a life you gave me, Professor.

If I hadn't met you, I wouldn't even be here right now.

I was really disappointed by this recent failure.

Ho Se.

You're purifying the world.

That belief remains unchanged, Professor.

(Muchang Supermarket)

What are you doing?

Where's Hae Na?

I left Hae Na with my mom.

The kindergarten is closed for a few days.

By the way, the real culprit is the shuttle bus driver?

I just can't believe it.

He seemed like such a nice person.

What was nice about him?

He looked like a Muay Thai fighter.

At your age, you should have some sense of...

You should be wary and know how cruel the world can be.

How can you be so pure and naive?

But why did that driver attack the teachers?

The village group chat is blowing up. Everyone's terrified.

How would I know what's in that criminal's mind?

From now on,

don't be nice to just anyone.

Be nice to me instead.

And when you go out at night or whatever,

contact me first.

Why should I?

Just do as I say.

These go there?

Yes, over there.

The surgery went well, but she went into cardiac arrest during it.

So she's currently in a coma.

We'll need to monitor her for a few days.

Her overall physical condition has weakened significantly.

She could become critical again at any moment.

Could Ms. Baek Hye Ji fail to recover to her former self?

We really won't know until the patient wakes up, Madam.

Please contact me immediately if anything happens.

I will.

Ms. Jo Byeol Nae.

Attorney.

You've been well, right?

Please have a seat.

I ordered first.

Is coffee okay?

Ah, yes, I like it.

You've had a hard time, haven't you, Ms. Jo Byeol Nae?

When Professor Ga Seon Yeong abandoned you on that remote highway.

Even after walking for five hours,

you reported the situation well to me.

Because I made a promise to you.

Not everyone keeps their promises.

I deeply respect that integrity of yours,

so I've prepared a special position for you, Ms. Jo Byeol Nae.

Do I need to surveil someone again?

This time, you'll need to keep an eye on several people.

This way.

Why are there so many flies here?

Please sit.

Attorney Lee.

Who is this?

Didn't you say you needed more help?

Ah, a new assistant who'll work under me?

Call her Butler Jo.

Attorney Lee, a butler?

Don't you know butler, Butler Choi?

That's why I'm here, Butler Choi.

We can't have two butlers under one roof.

Madam, you should sort this situation out.

Yeong Ran.

'Yeong Ran'?

She pulled some strings?

Why is she here?

It seemed

you needed someone you could trust.

A word, please.

Alright.

How do you know Madam?

We worked together part-time at a logistics warehouse.

Butler Choi.

- This. - What is this?

It's to celebrate working together.

Oh, my, this house is amazing.

Is this real gold?

Why do only such bright, innocent girls end up in this house?

She's a bit excessively cheerful, isn't she?

I heard Byeol Nae has returned to her normal routine.

Why did you bring her here again?

It's hard to drive out Butler Choi and Yang Cheol Su.

Besides, they're not exactly trustworthy people either.

This is in case Madam would be left alone

if I ever had to leave the house.

It's not like Ms. Baek Hye Ji is here anymore either.

I absolutely cannot allow anyone to get hurt again because of me.

That must never happen.

Madam.

You seem to have changed somewhat during this time.

Don't forget why Chairman put you in this position.

Chairman wants only one thing.

To achieve his goals by any means necessary,

without regard for methods.

You don't actually think

you've truly become the mistress of this house, do you?

Then go tell Ms. Jo Byeol Nae exactly what needs to be done from now on.

As the lady of this household.

She's completely playing the role of Madam now.

Please stay here for the time being.

Yeong Ran.

Are you okay?

You...

You're actually anxious about being here, aren't you?

They say all wealthy people live with some anxiety.

Oh, Byeol Nae, keep an eye on who comes and goes in this house,

and make sure Butler Choi and Yang Cheol Su don't do anything suspicious.

Watch them carefully for me.

Well,

if you don't trust them, why keep them around?

They're the ones who'll deliver my messages to the enemy.

That's exactly what I need right now.

So, is the owner of this house Ga Seon Yeong or Kim Yeong Ran?

The more insurance, the better.

Why are you just standing there?

Are you looking for me?

Of course, I'm looking for you.

Let's pretend this never happened.

The king said to me...

(Butler Choi) Professor, Kim Yeong Ran has returned.

From Butler Choi.

Kim Yeong Ran will hold a press conference tomorrow.

But we have Gaseong Children's Foundation fundraiser scheduled at that time.

Should we cancel it?

No, proceed as planned.

What about Seon Woo?

His whereabouts after leaving the hotel remain unknown.

We're still tracking him.

Take a look at this.

There were so many customers that day, so I don't remember clearly.

Thank you.

Oh, yes.

They say you don't notice when someone comes, but you always notice when they're gone.

Ju Won.

I specially grilled ham. Eat up properly.

It tastes better when I eat with Ms. Bu Se Mi.

Ju Won, a good teacher like Ms. Bu Se Mi

will be coming to Muchang tonight.

So cheer up and eat heartily.

Dong Min, can you go meet her?

Is someone already coming?

Yes.

It seems Ms. Bu Se Mi has made special effort.

This time, it's really...

a teacher from Iseon Women's University.

I see.

She'll be staying in your farmhouse, so tidy it up.

Okay.

(Muchang Residents' Relationship Chart)

(Jeon Ju Won, adorably unlike his father, earning favor by eating carrots)

What's this?

Was she eating Ju Won's carrot?

(Pyo Jeong Woo, Muchang Police Sergeant, in a love triangle with Seong Tae and Jeong Hwa)

Jeong Woo likes Jeong Hwa?

I had no idea.

(Contractual Relationship, Bu Se Mi (Party A) & Jeon Dong Min (Party B))

Wait, she even wrote this down?

Madam.

Haven't slept?

I couldn't fall asleep.

The current board members' suspicions

were raised at the board meeting through Director Park.

An internal audit will begin by next week.

Exactly fifteen days until the shareholders' meeting.

You have Chairman's will safe, right?

Ga Seon Yeong will never find it.

And Madam,

once your face is revealed at the press conference,

there's no going back to your old life.

We'll know when we get there.

Even if I can't return.

(Gaseong Group)

(Gaseong Group Emergency Press Conference)

Hello,

I am

the wife of the late Chairman Ga Sung Ho,

Kim Yeong Ran.

I am here today to prevent the two siblings,

Ga Seon Woo and Ga Seon Yeong, who have caused

widespread abuse of power

and social controversy,

from participating in company management.

I have a question.

Does this mean you intend to exercise authority

as the largest shareholder at the upcoming shareholders' meeting in fifteen days?

I'm simply following the chairman's wishes.

Late Chairman Ga Sung Ho's will hasn't been revealed yet.

Are you declaring your intention to directly participate in management, Ms. Kim Yeong Ran?

The chairman's will

will also be revealed at the shareholders' meeting.

The entire nation is curious about this.

Did you truly marry Chairman Ga Sung Ho out of love?

(Gaseong Group Emergency Press Conference)

Jeong Hwa, I brought the strawberries.

Dong Min, hurry up.

Isn't that Ms. Bu Se Mi?

- Looks like her. - When deciding to marry,

I believe there are numerous reasons and conditions.

One of them is love.

The 40-year age gap, difference in social status.

There were many rumors about you being a 'gold digger'.

Instead of vague answers, the public wants the truth.

(Gaseong Group Emergency Press Conference)

Yes.

I married him out of love.

What on earth is happening?

Is it true that you were in a juvenile detention center, as reported?

My juvenile detention background, passing the GED for middle and high school,

and my experience as a bodyguard, all of that is true.

I've never exaggerated

nor hidden any part of my career.

Everything reported is accurate.

What a successful debut.

(Gaseong Children's Foundation Donation Day)

I'll go up first. Buy the water I usually drink.

Understood.

(Kim Yeong Ran, Late Chairman Ga Sung Ho's Widow, First Public Appearance)

During the bodyguard recruitment process,

we heard you beat out other highly qualified candidates for the position.

Yes, that's correct.

No one needed that position more than I did.

That's also why I was hired.

You completely disappeared after Chairman Ga Sung Ho's death.

Despite all the suspicions during that time,

why reveal yourself now?

I was simply waiting

for the right time to appear.

Oh my, what's happening?

Call 911, quickly.

So today's press conference is essentially

a declaration of war against Ga Seon Yeong and Ga Seon Woo over management rights?

Regarding management rights...

(Gaseong Group's Eldest Daughter, Professor Ga Seon Yeong Was Stabbed in the Neck)

Hold on! Wait a minute!

Breaking news just came out that

Professor Ga Seon Yeong was attacked on her way to the event.

Do you have any comment on this incident?

We'll conclude today's press conference here.

- Please make your statement. - Let's go.

- Please make your statement. - Please say something.

- Say something. - Any comment?

Everything now

depends on Vice President Ga Seon Woo.

Please remember that.

(Gaseong Group Emergency Press Conference)

Darn.

Kim Yeong Ran, the veiled widow of late Gaseong Group Chairman Ga Sung Ho,

has finally made her first public appearance...

What am I seeing right now?

So the Ms. Se Mi we knew

was actually Gaseong Group's widow all along?

Widow? Please.

She's clearly a gold digger, that woman.

No, Ms. Bu Se Mi.

Ugh, I can't process this.

Dong Min.

Look me in the eye.

Did you really not know anything?

Everyone knows Ms. Bu Se Mi isn't like that, right?

How can you know someone's true nature?

A new teacher is supposed to arrive today,

so I'll go ahead.

Dong Min, go.

Is he running away?

But shouldn't we seriously address this issue?

Our kids were taught by a fake teacher.

Someone like that.

This is unbelievable.

I'm gonna report this to the Office of Education.

Let's wait and see.

Remember how good Ms. Se Mi was with the children at the kindergarten.

The children adored her.

Hae Na still talks about Ms. Se Mi every day.

True, she was competent.

Maybe we should wait a little longer?

Ugh, I don't know.

I heard from Principal.

This is the farmhouse you'll be staying in from now on.

Wow, what a quaint and lovely farmhouse.

Thank you.

Yes, thank you.

This is my first time in the countryside.

May I contact you if I get scared at night?

Just make sure you lock up properly, and you'll be fine.

- Oh, okay. - Goodnight.

- Thank you. - Yes.

Oh, Jeong Woo.

I'll be there, okay.

This is the room Gil Ho Se used.

I looked up Gil Ho Se, but he's practically a ghost.

There's definitely something fishy here.

Even higher-ups claim to know nothing, and the investigation's stalled.

Really weird.

Oh, Officer Lee.

No, I'm about to go in. Just wait.

Got it.

Found anything?

Nope.

Let's go.

(Seo-gu Police Station)

- Get down here. - What a day.

- Have you seen the news? - Oh well.

Yes, sir. How can I help you?

I want to turn myself in.

Did you have a personal grudge against Ga Seon Yeong?

Someone ordered me.

Who ordered you to do what?

Kim Yeong Ran.

Kim Yeong Ran ordered me to kill Professor Ga Seon Yeong.

Seung Hee.

Is that true?

I'll check.

Hey, Reporter Pyo. What's up?

Yeah, it's me.

Are you with Kim Yeong Ran right now?

Could you ask if she knows someone named Kim Gyo Bong?

Why?

He just turned himself in

claiming he acted on Kim Yeong Ran's orders.

What?

Got it, I'll check.

Madam.

Do you know someone named Kim Gyo Bong?

Your face says you do.

Let's go home first.

We need a strategy.

The man submitted proof that he received money from you.

Since he was your mother's man, it's understandable that he's under suspicion.

Evidence can be fabricated or exaggerated.

But the public will blindly believe

the fake, exaggerated proof.

You know Ga Seon Yeong did this.

Who wouldn't know that?

They've fabricated evidence against you, Madam!

Prove it's fake.

That's your job, Attorney Lee.

A lawyer isn't a miracle worker.

How much longer do I have to clean up your messes?

You've got quite a list of issues hanging off you, don't you?

Seems Chairman overestimated you, Ms. Kim Yeong Ran.

I told him to find someone from a decent, clean background.

The wife of late Gaseong Group Chairman Ga Sung Ho, Kim Yeong Ran,

appeared at a public event for the first time.

That woman's really something.

Marrying a man forty years older?

She's not ordinary.

How dare she show her face so brazenly?

Do you know her well?

She's always on the news.

They say she deliberately went after an old, rich man.

Miss, do you always believe others' words without context?

No,

I'm just sharing what I heard.

I'll take my leave now.

Yes.

Don't do that.

What if she's actually a good person?

Ju Won, eat up a lot, okay?

(Ms. Bu Se Mi)

Tae Min.

I packed some side dishes.

Thanks.

Did you pack everything?

Yeah, mostly.

You should've called me.

I would've brought them.

How's Ms. Baek Hye Ji's condition?

If it's too hard, come back.

I just want to stay by Hye Ji's side.

It's my first time.

When people say I'm possessed,

they avoid or ignore me at first.

But Hye Ji was the first to look at me

without prejudice.

And there's no one else at Hye Ji's side.

I've noticed since day one.

How lonely must she have been to come all the way here looking for a friend?

Dong Min.

Yeah?

You miss Ms. Bu Se Mi, right?

Is the general here?

Can't you tell?

Didn't come today.

I just wonder

if I'm allowed to miss her.

There's Ju Won too.

If you overthink it, is that really love?

You said it yourself.

When Ju Won's mother left him

for the man she liked, you said,

'How could anyone

not follow where their heart goes?'

Ms. Bu Se Mi

is a strong person.

She'll get through this on her own,

and me going would just burden her.

Who's ever strong from the start?

And that wouldn't be a burden.

People are desperate to bring her down,

but having someone by her side

who believes in her, that's such a comfort.

Just pretend to give in and go see her.

Yeong Ran!

Hey, Tae Min.

I'll drive you to Seoul.

Wait here.

(Kim So Yeong) Ma'am, the task you requested is done.

(Transaction Notice)

(Deposit, 500 million won)

Leaving?

He's a bloodsucker.

I'll handle it myself.

This is for lodging.

Why so much?

I found a solid investor.

Thanks for everything so far.

Yes, Attorney.

About Ga Seon Woo.

Ms. Hye Ji!

Doctor, hurry! This is abnormal, hurry!

Please save her.

She can't die, Ms. Hye Ji, no.

No, no.

Ms. Hye Ji.

Ms. Hye Ji!

Oh, Yeong Ran.

Where are you going?

There are too many reporters outside.

It's fine.

I'll be back, Byeol Nae.

Oh, but,

there's someone...

outside.

Who?

Ms. Baek Hye Ji is in critical condition.

I need to go to the hospital now.

Let's go together.

Please save her just once.

Please save her just once.

Mr. Tae Min.

What about Hye Ji?

Still in there.

- Director. - Yes, Madam.

She passed a critical point.

You can go in now.

Ms. Baek Hye Ji, wake up.

I'm sorry.

You told me to come to Pyeongtan Chinatown.

Where is this? Huh?

Where's your boss?

Where's Ga Seon Woo?

Ga Seon Yeong.

Lee Don, it's been a while.

You had another money source.

Let me make a proposal.

A proposal?

Kim Yeong Ran will soon be arrested as an accomplice to murder.

I want to see Kim Yeong Ran fight completely alone without help.

This family is really unbearable.

Muchang.

The principal of Iseon Kindergarten Lee Mi Seon.

She illegally hired Kim Yeong Ran, a high school graduate who never even set foot

near Iseon Women's University, as a kindergarten teacher.

Don't drag my family in.

All the CCTV here was turned off,

and there are people who would do anything for money.

How about this?

How much will you pay me

as the price for that proposal?

As much as you want.

Thank you for today.

Please go back now.

I have something to say.

Actually, I...

Next time.

We can talk later.

I missed you.

I was very worried about you.

I'm not the Bu Se Mi that you know.

I'm Kim Yeong Ran, who married a man 40 years older for money.

The person I saw in Muchang

was Kim Yeong Ran.

Someone who's been hurt a lot inside

and is easily hurt.

And the person standing before me now

is that same person.

Even if your words are cold,

I know you're warm-hearted inside.

I like you very much.

Those feelings are all misunderstandings and delusions.

And

I don't like you enough to abandon my dreams, Mr. Jeon Dong Min.

Once this is all over, I'll leave.

Kim Yeong Ran, the ex-convict wife of Chairman Ga,

will start a new life where nobody knows her.

So don't interfere.

I have no intention of ever returning to this wretched country.

Thank you for everything.
