The human body perceives
information in different ways.

One way it receives information
is through lights,

and that's through our eyes.

So, our eyes respond to
light for different colors,

and those are the colors
of the rainbow that

we're familiar with,
the red, orange, yellow,

green, blue, indigo, and violet.

So, if you talk about it
in numbers we can talk

about that as being blue
light's about 400 nanometers

in wavelength and the
red light is around about

700 nanometers in wavelength.

So, that section of the
electromagnetic spectrum

is what we perceive with
our eyes, but that's a tiny

section of the vast spectrum
that exists out there.

You can have many other
wavelengths or other colors

which we don't perceive.

So, if we go to the red end
of the spectrum we see up

to nice red colors,
beautiful sunset colors

say for instance, but beyond
the red we have something

we call infrared.

Now, our eyes don't detect
that but our bodies can.

We feel infrared as that
sensation of heat on your skin,

so your skin has detectors
for that, but it's not

what our eyes see.

But it's like color, but
our eyes don't see it.

Beyond that we move out into microwaves

and radio waves with
much longer wavelengths

of up to several meters in length.

And, those sort of wavelength
of light, or electromagnetic

radiation are other colors,
if you like that we can't

detect, not with our eyes
but we can detect those

with radio telescopes.

And, if you come down to the
other end beyond the blue

and the violet we have
ultraviolet, which again we don't

sense, although it effects
our skin by giving us

sunburn for instance.

We can go further down to
shorter and shorter wavelengths.

We have such things as
gamma rays and x-rays.

So, this whole spectrum of
light is a series of colors

of which we only detect
a very, very narrow part,

an extremely narrow part of
that whole spectrum of light.

- [Narrator] S-T-S-U-V,
during the 1990s NASA

carried out space shuttle
missions and recorded

footage like this.

In this footage of what
seems to be a formation

of objects moving over the
earth, one object can be seen

escaping the atmosphere
as we hear NASA explaining

the technology that they
use to capture these images.

- [NASA Narrator] This
mission control Houston.

This view is being taken
with the glow camera

housed in Endeavour's payload bay as

one of four different
experiments that are hitching

a ride on the International
Extreme Ultraviolet

Hitchhiker payload that is housed in

Endeavour's payload bay.

- [Narrator] A glow
camera is a nickname used

for the technology that
can capture things which

cannot be seen by the
human eye, but are visible

in the ultraviolet light spectrum.

Down here on the surface
of the Earth the atmosphere

limits what radiation
can get to the ground.

Optical light can obviously
get to the ground,

'cause that's what we see with our eyes.

We've evolved to accept that
radiation which comes to us

from in the sky, from the
sun and from other stars.

Some radio wavelengths
get through to the surface

of the Earth, but most other
wavelengths are blocked.

So, we're protected from
the vast amount of the

ultraviolet wavelengths and
the gamma rays and x-rays.

So, this is an aspect
of more recent astronomy

which we've had to do from space.

So, the space age has allowed
us to look at gamma rays

from space and x-rays from
space and ultraviolet radiation

from objects in space.

- [Narrator] STS-80,
November 1996, this mission

has given NASA fascinating
footage of what appears

to be UFO sightings.

Visual phenomena which
NASA have explained away

as space ice and debris.

We see in the recording
peculiar objects that seem

to be moving over Africa.

The most notable visualization
that occurs is an object

that enters the camera's
shot in a transparent

or almost corporeal state.

Only to shine into existence
once it finds its position

within the atmosphere.

Furthermore there seems
to be multiple objects

which appear to hold a circular formation

with the final object
moving into the center

and lighting up.

The illuminated objects
seem to stay cohesively

in this formation blinking
with the few along the top

ascending back into orbit.

Could space junk or ice perform
these kinds of maneuvers?

The seeming deliberate
nature of the movement

of these objects seems near
impossible to explain away

as naturally occurring phenomena.

Former NASA employee James
O'Berg has determined

the objects to be just ice,
which can be illuminated

based on near Earth conditions.

Other scientists like
Doctor Jack Kasher say that

this explanation is impossible.

NASA has had a number

of cases where they have
dealt in some fashion

with UFOs, and of course,
that is, I'm sure,

classified and kept secret
and hidden from the public.

- [Narrator] Throughout
NASA's history correspondents

have been steadfast
and actively denied any

UFO activity in space.

However, we will see that
during the course of over

20 STS missions NASA's own
space cameras have caught

what is arguably the most
interesting UFO footage.

Statistically, it's a
certainty there are hugely

advanced civilizations,
intelligences, lifeforms out there.

I believe they're so advance that

they're even doing interstellar travel.

I believe it's possible.

But Musgrave is years later,
he seemed amused by them

and definitely not threatened by them.

So, you know all the
astronauts get trained

in these phenomena.

Suddenly, I look up and
I see these five lights

and they seem to fly by.

- [Announcer] One of our
pioneer astronauts was

Brigadier General Jame McDivitt.

In 1965, General McDivitt
spent four days in outer space

as command pilot of Gemini IV.

General Mdivitt have you ever seen a UFO?

Yes, during my flight on Gemini IV in 1965

I saw and object in space
fairly close to our spacecraft

that I could not identify.

It looked to me like maybe the upper stage

of another rocket.

I tried to take some pictures
of it, but unfortunately

the pictures did not come out properly.

We never were able to identify what it was

and all our radar tracking data indicated

that there shouldn't
have been another object

anywhere near us at the time.

There is abundant evidence
that we are being contacted,

that civilizations have
been visiting us for

a very long time.

And, it was only later
when I began to embrace

the UFO phenomena, the
cover up, studying all these

organizations that were
covering up and having some

direct experience myself
as a researcher no longer

beholden to funding from NASA
or the university environment

that I began to double
check some of Carl's work.

And, I saw, for example, the
famous face in Cydonia in Mars

photographed by Viking in
1975 which shows this gigantic

human mesa that resembles a
human face about a mile across.

Carl and I debated this

and it was very, very
disappointing to be because

not only was Carl wrong
he also fudged data.

He published a picture of the face

in Parade magazine, a popular
article, saying that the face

is just a natural formation.

But, he doctored the picture to make it

not look like a face.

And, I began to realize just
directly from a scientific

point of view, not only
hearsay, that this man

was colluding with NASA,
that there might be more

to this than before.

There are some people at
NASA that are working on

material that's classified
so you would have

different levels of security clearances

and compartmentalized stuff especially at

the top secret level.

It was the same in Livermore,
although I did have

a security clearance most of
the stuff that I worked on

was compartmentalized
because well you had to have

a need to know.

And, they let you know enough
about it but it was not shared

between departments, that material is not.

- [Narrator] Even though
there have been credible,

educated scientists like
Doctor Mitchell backing

the theory that we are being
visited mainstream scientists

like Doctor Andrew Jacob believe
that all of this technology

is being used to detect
quasars or other scientifically

accepted space phenomena.

Andrew believes we are
building monumental technology

to simply learn more about
our universe than we ever did.

Radio telescopes see
things which are so faint

they have to be extremely
large and sometimes you might

combine multiple radio
telescopes together to get

even more information.

The big project in the
Australian outback and in

southern Africa is the SKA
project, the Square Kilometer

Array, concentrated in
western Australia, but spread

across the whole country
and also there'll be another

segment of it in southern Africa.

Eventually, they'll be working
together and to produce

a telescope almost the size of the Earth.

But, the large collecting
area means it's an extremely

sensitive telescope and
it's designed to detect

pulsars, designed to
detect potential emissions

if there's any aliens out there.

If they discover a signal
that protocol tells them

what they'll do with the
information and who they'll

contact first and when they'll release it.

The protocol says that it
will be released publicly,

the knowledge will become
public, it won't stay private.

You've got so many people
involved in these programs

and people tell stories.

People tell people things.

No one is gonna be able
to keep it quiet if anyone

finds a signal from elsewhere
or even any evidence

whether it's intelligent
or not, but finding any

evidence of life elsewhere in
the universe will be known.

It won't be kept quiet.

There's no way you could do that even if

you wanted to, I'm sure.

Top secret stuff could
be, for example, any craft

that the astronauts saw when
they were up on the moon.

And, there were code words
that would be used in

that type of situation.

There was an incident with
the space shuttle Discovery

where Don Ratch who is a UFO
researcher was listening.

He liked to listen to
the shuttle talking back

and forth with Houston.

After an hour and a half he
heard one of the astronauts

say we have a fire.

Maybe they had a fire, maybe they didn't.

Nobody seemed to be getting excited.

And, UFO researchers think
that what happens in that

situation is that they have
spotted a UFO or some kind

of extraterrestrial space
craft and that's a code

that they use to describe that.

So, he sat down right away
and started recording.

- [Astronaut] Houston, this
is Discovery we still have

the alien spacecraft (mumbles).

And, a couple minutes
later he heard someone

on that same channel he
had been listening to

saying, and this is a direct quote,

"Houston, this is Discovery
we still have the alien

"spacecraft under observance."

NASA was presented with
that, they denied that that

was an astronaut, although
it was on that same channel.

I guess you need about 20
words for a voice print

analysis and there are only
13 words so we could not

prove that it was somebody
at NASA saying that.

But, it was kind of fishy
because it was on that same

channel that Don Ratch
had been listening to

for a couple hours.

That would have to be
a very classified topic

because anything like that with UFOs

would be classified to some extent.

And, I know a number of
astronauts have seen UFOs

but they're very reluctant
to talk about them.

- [Narrator] SCS-73, mission
day three, October 21st,

1995 astronaut Catherine
Coleman is seen peering out

a capsule window when
she is heard saying this:

- [Catherine] We have an
unidentified flying object.

- [Narrator] The
communication goes silent.

It is well known that the
space shuttle has two radio

channels, one for public
broadcast and another which

is an encrypted channel for
the Department of Defense.

It remains possible that
the missing part of this

transmission was sent on
the encrypted channel.

Well, if there are code words
then I think it's pretty

clear the astronauts would
have to know them before

they go up into orbit.

And then, if they use them
fine if they see something.

- [Man On Radio] We see
another light going by

on the ground there.

It could have been a star, Bill.

- [Man On Radio] Okay, roger.

- [NASA Narrator] With
another camera angle we get

a little view of the
Astro-2 telescopes moving

offscreen now as the
camera is panned upward.

And, that gives us a look at the

sky above Endeavour

with stars visible

on this black and white camera,

a low light sensitive camera.

(beeps)

But, we now have lost--

That would have to come,
I would think, from some

astronauts being debriefed
and mentioning that they

had seen something or else
that NASA suspects that

it's possible that they
might see something and so

they developed some code words to use.

- [Narrator] STS-63, another
interesting piece of footage

with some equally interesting commentary.

NASA claimed these to be
ice crystals that look

like a bed of diamonds.

However, when observing
this triangular formation

of objects on the horizon
they seem to be entering

the Earth's atmosphere at a slow pace.

And, based on the distance
from the ISS these objects

are large enough to be
prominent at such a distance.

- [Male Astronaut] Columbia,
Houston we're looking our

payload bay camera and it
looks like a lot of moonlight

glinting off the ocean, a
whole sparkling bed of diamonds

out there, is that a real
picture or we just getting

some video fuzz?

- [Man On Radio] Say Houston
we're recording that.

That's some of the ice
crystals that we were dumping

out earlier, and yeah
it's a beautiful picture.

But, when NASA developed
cameras that could see

into invisible wavelengths
of light, into infrared,

far infrared, and then
you get into near, far,

and extreme ultraviolet
sensitivity this is when

there was a wealth of phenomena.

- [Man On Radio] Looks
like you got an object

right in front of you Mark,
can you look out there?

(beeps)

- [Astronaut] I don't see
what you're talking about.

- [Man On Radio] Nevermind.

(beeps)

- [Astronaut] Are we missing something?

I don't see anything.

- [Man On Radio] Yeah, we
think the camera filter

came off, Mark.

(beeps)

It's about your 10 o'clock,
11 o'clock going away.

Don't worry about it.

- [Astraunaut] Columbia,
Houston could you tell us

what your TV view is showing?

- [Man On Radio] Well,
the sun has actually risen

on the belly side of the orbiter
so we're getting some light

scattered down from a very
bright pale onto the camera lens

and then those little
white dots moving around

are little ice crystals
surrounding the orbiter.

So, as we come into across

the terminator guess we'll turn
on one of the color cameras.

(laughs)

- [Astronaut] Copy that, I
was waiting for the opening

credits of Star Trek to
go down the screen there.

- [Astronaut] Thank you,
there's a lot of people

flipping out up here.

- [Man On Radio] I'll bet, and we know.

- [Narrator] STS-80, at the
beginning of this sequence

we see an electrical storm taking place

in the Earth's atmosphere.

This high energy environment also shows

multiple objects congregating nearby.

We see the first object
materialize and descend

into the middle of the
atmosphere where it slows down

and then finally holds it's position.

Would space ice be able
to stop and maintain

it's pace so gracefully?

I know that NASA uses
iridium for the mirrors

to capture ultraviolet light
looking for space imagery.

And, you know the astronauts
are trained to observe

this phenomena, especially with
working with those cameras,

special CCDs and sensors.

You'll see these vaporous kind
of see through foggy looking

discs that would be moving and assembling,

and even assembling and stopping.

With these cameras you're
not seeing all the light,

you're only seeing part of it.

And that's a very small
amount of light because it's

the light that's interacting
with the background

of the space environment.

So, whatever space is
made of zero point energy,

it's certainly not a vacuum,
it's exciting those particles

and they emit a tiny bit of energy.

You cannot buy a camera
over the counter today,

professionally or legally, so it's kind of

playing with that.

I remember this one camera came out.

I'm trying to remember
the name of the camera.

It wasn't a Nikon or a
Canon or anything like that.

It was like Sigma or something like that

and accidentally it could
see ultraviolet light.

And, after 1,000 units
of the camera got out

they canceled all the sales.

You couldn't buy it, I wanted to get one.

You couldn't get one.

And, it almost proved that
they didn't want people

seeing in those spectra of light.

- [Narrator] What seems
even more suspicious

is the fact that the camera
man is manually tracking

the object while filming.

When it starts to ascend
from its initial position

the camera zooms in and
focuses on the object.

Is this not evidence that NASA
holds at least some interest

in these phenomena?

- [Interviewer] What
attracted you to physics?

I started teaching, taught
physics and astronomy here

at Nebraska, Omaha for 34 years.

And, during that time I
also taught for 17 summers

and for a number of times during the year

at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

in Livermore, California.

I had a security clearance
and I studied the effects

of nuclear weapons.

I studied electromagnetic
theory and nuclear theory,

a bunch of different things
and atmospheric physics.

And, I did that for 17 summers.

And, that was a big part of my research.

I also got a grant to work for NASA.

The Star Wars program came
into being about 1983 or so.

And so, I had worked on
nuclear weapons and the effects

from 75 on up through
there and other different

electro magnetic theory problems.

And, it was after 1983 and if
I were to guess maybe 1984, 85

through 88, something like
that, I worked on the microwave

laser and maybe other aspects
of the Star Wars program, too.

There was supposed to be a
ground based system where

you could shoot down the
missiles that would come out.

And, we also were gonna
have space platforms.

I think the x-ray laser was gonna be up on

the space platform, but that
was gonna be a part of it

that we have space satellites
up there with the weapons

that would then come into use
if they ever had to be used.

I don't know where they are
now, but they're at least

close enough to using
it that we had to study

what would happen with it.

- [Narrator] STS-48, September
13th, 1991 it appears

there is something coming
from the Earth's surface

in response to an object
entering the atmosphere.

Soon after this footage was
shot Doctor Kasher wrote

a full scientific analysis of the event.

He submitted his findings
to NASA and the public.

You need training or
understanding on how to deal with

something that's vaporous
and not easy to see,

but yet is showing up on these
cameras and is not physical.

So, they didn't know whether
to believe it or not,

but he was mystified.

The data was there, it was clearly there.

- [Interviewer] And, what
got you interested in STS-48?

Why is this an important
event that took place

in NASA researches?

It was 1991, September 15th,
I believe, and Don Ratch

again, was taking some video
on the NASA select TV station

that they broadcast out
for everybody to watch,

sent it to Harry Jordan, one
of my cohorts here in Omaha.

And, he shared the video with me.

And, we both looked at it
and knew there was something

really going on here,
something quite interesting.

And so, I was on the
Sightings television program

and I kind of showed some
of the trajectories and all.

And, because of that I
was put in contact with

an individual at the University
of Wisconsin in Milwaukee

who studied little critters
that move in Lake Michigan.

And, they had a grid that
they put over the television

picture and so they could
trace in 1/30th of a second

intervals where the objects were.

And so, this was completely ideal to use.

And so, I got a grant from
the Fund for UFO Research

and they overlaid the
television picture and I got

all kinds of position time coordinates for

all the bunch of the little lights that

were in the STS-48 video.

And, taking those data
I was able to calculate

all kinds of several different
motions, accelerations,

and velocities and so
on, in three dimensions.

And, the result of that
was that I developed

five direct proofs that the objects

in the video were not ice particles,

which is kind of the
first bail out explanation

that people that would look at it

might say that these objects might be.

And so, with my five proofs
just from the data itself,

analyzing all the velocities
and so on I proved

that they could not be ice particles.

And so, what were they then?

You don't have any more options.

If they're not ice particles
they can't be comets,

they can't be meteors,
they can't be satellites,

because they don't change direction

and these things change direction.

And so, that leaves you
just with one other option,

some kind of space craft.

In the case of STS-48 I
think it was very similar.

I think they saw something
coming in and they shot at it.

The air glow and right
below it, hard to see,

is the surface of the Earth.

This is the Earth down here.

This is above the atmosphere.

That's a star.

This is the second object
that is of interest to us.

And, it's slowly coming
up, as you can see.

In a little bit you're
gonna see the main object

pop up here, go over, and you'll
see some flashes down here.

And then, it's gonna
sharply cut back here.

Seconds later a streak is
gonna go through there,

right where it had been.

Here we go, and there's
gonna be a flash down here.

There's your flash, here it goes.

And, there goes the streak.

And, there's a second streak
right there, hard to see.

And, these objects are moving, too.

This one actually moved
up in this direction

after the flash.

So, that's the main thing
and these two objects here

are the ones that are of
interest, plus the streak

which is a different type of
quality that goes through there

right after the main object leaves.

You can't tell by watching
the video but the main object

actually paused for half
a second before it turned

back up the other direction.

- [Woman On Radio] Discovery Houston,

continue.
And, we're gonna

continue on here and they're
gonna bring the camera

down and put it away in the cargo bay.

I don't know what this
thing is, but it's really

a very interesting object, too.

- [Woman On Radio] Water
dump, attitude will take

about 15 minutes and in order
to start the dump on time

we'd like for you to do that maneuver now.

We need it to prevent contamination.

(beeps)

- [Astronaut] Okay, understand
you want us to start

the spa water dump.

And, it's coming down,
you're gonna be able to see

that it was focused at
infinity because once it gets

down here the side of cargo
bay is gonna be out of focus.

And, here's the side of
the cargo bay out of focus

and then they'll refocus
it, now you can see it.

Then, it's gonna turn toward
the front and you're gonna

be able to see the whole
front of the cargo bay.

So, here it goes.

The way they behaved out
there depending on how far

away from the shuttle they were
was an extraordinary thing.

To the extent that if they
were 10 miles or farther

from the shuttle they
were behaving in ways that

were vastly beyond anything
that we can do on the Earth.

Four NASA employees were given
this to offer their opinion.

They just watched the video,
they did no analysis of it.

And, what they came up with
was reasonable that it had

to be ice particles and
that's as far as they took it.

Did not say a single thing
about there were two streaks

that went up through there,
like you might expect

from a missile.

I was able to rule out at
least five different proofs

that they were not ice particles.

And, if they weren't they
only other viable option

is some kind of space craft.

And, the way it behaved,
again I can't prove how far

away it was from the shuttle,
if it was a mile away

that's unbelievably
close, that's dangerous.

If it's 10 miles away it
accelerated in a fashion

that was beyond anything that
humans could stand, 100 Gs

it would be, which would
destroy a human being.

And then, as you start
going out beyond 10 miles

then we're talking about
quantum leaps in technology

beyond what we have.

And so, to me the logical
conclusion is that these

were space craft from
somewhere else out in space

away from the shuttle.

And, it's hard to explain
those two streaks that

went through there unless
it is in terms of one good

explanation might be
that they were missiles

that we might be firing at them.

And, that's a scary thing, too.

But, I don't believe that their craft that

the military would be alarmed about.

I think it's possible the
military could be preparing

for some type of space war
based on their own paranoia

and their own schizophrenia
about not being able to handle

what cameras are seeing.

- [Narrator] At the end of
NASA's Atlantis shuttle mission

the STS-115, when the
crew was supposed to make

a controlled re-entry into
the Earth's atmosphere

a UFO tracked the space station
and blocked the entry way.

This was a potentially
dangerous event that could have

resulted in the death of
the crew had there been

a collision or an unexpected redirection

during their descent.

NASA's explanation was
that this large object

was simply a piece of plastic.

(indistinct speech)

But, a piece of plastic very
much like this that's used

to install tiles was there before,

is most likely what we saw in that

camera view floating away.

Crazy alert, aliens after Atlantis?

Official video from the latest
NASA space shuttle mission

appears to show what
might be UFOs in space.

A segment from the live NASA
feed shows the cargo bay

of the space shuttle Atlantis
and what appears to be

three flying objects
directly above the shuttle.

The objects are in motion
in a triangular formation,

how we often imagine UFOs might move.

The narrator of the live
feed tries to explain

the objects away with a
less than convincing story,

take a listen.

- [Woman On Radio] This
is mission control Houston

with Atlantis Commander
Brent Jett talking with us.

Trent Terry works here in
mission control, about an object

the crew members floated
outside the windows of

the space shuttle Atlantis.

Describing it as some kind
of reflective or metallic

looking cloth but definitely
not a rigid or a metal object.

Yeah right, there just
happened to be three identical

pieces of massive metallic
cloth moving around

in a constant formation in space.

Certainly, one of the most
convincing UFO videos yet

it appears more likely than
ever that we might have

company in our universe.

- [Narrator] Gary McKinnon
has been a prolific figure

in the hacking world since
2002 when he committed

the biggest military server
security break in in history.

In 2003, he became subject
to bail conditions including

a requirement to sign in
at his local police station

every evening and to remain at
his home address every night.

If extradited to the U.S. and
charged McKinnon would have

to face up to 70 years in prison.

Here's your list of charges.

You hacked into the Army,
the Navy, the Air Force,

the Department of Defense and
NASA amongst other things.

Why?

I was in search of suppressed technology.

- [Kerry] I'm here with
Gary McKinnon and we're here

to talk about his possible
extradition to the United States

for some hacking that he's
done and some investigation

he's also done on the part
of UFOs and disclosure.

Maybe you could explain
exactly what you're in for

or up for, I guess,
might be a better word.

Apparently, it's seven
counts of intentional

malicious damage and unauthorized access.

Each count carrying 10 years maximum.

- [Kerry] Exactly what
were you looking for

when you were doing this?

At first I was looking for
anything to do with UFOs.

As I got more into the
subject and listened to more

serious talk and discussion
about the subject

and was introduce to
the Disclosure Project

I realized there were
400 witness testimonials

from people that worked
from everything as simple as

air traffic control up to
military radio operators

right up to the men and women
in charge of whether or not

to launch nuclear missiles.

I thought, these are
surely credible people.

I've been doing this every
night, all night practically

for two years not really
looking after myself very much.

So, data things are a bit
mangled 'cause it wasn't even

really a hack to get into it.

It was just large scale
phishing of like passwords.

The administrator account, a
lot of the time on a corporate

network or a large organization
like the Army or the NASA

isn't actually used, there
isn't an administrator.

But, it's a built in account,
so you can't delete it.

You can rename it.

But, that's for say if
someone wanted to do something

system wide across the
whole network they would use

that account to log in
remotely because that gives you

full control over the machine.

Well obviously, they must have IT staff

that look after things.

- [Kerry] Right, and didn't
you encounter one such

person or was he an IT
guy on the other end?

Yeah, yeah he was a network engineer.

Because I had graphical remote
control of the machines,

like literally like sitting
in the chair opposite

the screen, opposite the
monitor I think I must have

got the time zone wrong or
he was working late hours

or whatever, but he
obviously saw the mouse

moving across the screen.

And, next thing I know word
pad flashes up and someone

types, "Who are you?"

And, I panicked, didn't
want to get caught.

I thought very quickly on
my feet and turned around

my own investigations into an explanation.

So on the screen I said,
"I'm from NIPRNet Security,"

which is the non-classified
internet protocol

and router network.

"And, obviously there was
some unauthorized scanning

"coming from this machine and
I'm here to investigate it."

And, he immediately, he was a
good ploy to my human nature

tried to impress me with
his knowledge and show me

this little virus scan
and pretty much showed me

that the machine was clean.

- [Kerry] Wow.

And then, moved along.

- [Kerry] So, what did you find out?

About the UFO thing, as
far as I'm concerned,

it may sound circumstantial to some,

but as far as I'm concerned it's proven.

As part of the Disclosure
Project, there was Donna Hare,

a NASA photographic scientist
who had up to secret clearance

was in building eight
in Johnson Space Center,

she says in the testimony.

And, that one of her
colleagues was doing some

photographic work, invited
her over to look at it

and she saw a high res
satellite imagery maybe

half a k above the treetops,
I think it was like

a white disc and she at
first thought, ah it's a blob

in the emulsion, it's some kind of fault

in the photographic process.

And he said, "Well look, blobs
in the emulsion don't have

"perfectly formed shadows
going in the same direction

"as the trees," et cetera, et cetera,

all the detail was there.

And, she basically was saying
that they had this whole

place in building eight
for air brushing out UFOs

on a regular basis
'cause they then sent on,

NASA sent on their images to
universities and the like.

And, having been all over other
NASA installations already

I assumed the blank password
scanning method would work

the same in Johnson
Space Center and it did.

Once I was in there I used
various network commands

to strip out the machines
that were in building eight.

And, got onto to those and
the very first one I was on

literally had what she said.

I can't remember if it was
filtered in raw processed

and unprocessed, but it
was definitely photos

whereby there was a transformation
in the data taking place

between one and the other.

These folders were full
of images in a proprietary

NASA format or in a format
I'd never seen before,

no jpegs or gifs.

They were also two to
three megabytes in size,

big on a 56k dial up modem.

There was no way I was gonna download it,

it's like five minutes per megabyte.

So, what I did, the remote
control program that

gives you graphical control
of the machine turned

the resolution right down,
turned it down to I think

four bit color and then on the desktop

of the NASA machine
navigated to the folder,

double clicked on the first image.

The application launched, the
image comes up on the screen

but it's still very, very slow.

And, what I saw, I was
hoping to see was exactly

what she was describing, saucers
and very definite imagery.

And, what instead I saw
was I assume was the Earth,

this is in sort of shades of
gray, but you had the Earth's

hemisphere, took about
2/3rds of the screen.

And then, halfway between
the top of the hemisphere

and the bottom of the
picture there was a classic

sort of cigar shaped object,
but you know with those

little golf ball domes,
geodesic domes above, below,

and on this side, and I
assume the other side as well,

so the left and right as
well, and was very slightly

flattened cigar ends.

No seams, no rivets, no sort
of telemetry and antennae.

When it was photographed it
was about 3/4 of the way down

on the screen.

And, you're seeing the
mouse move, you right click

the local area network
icon changes to disconnect.

Natch, that's me, and
that's why it was such

a strange moment.

It was triumphant in a way,
I thought, I've completely

corroborated what Donna Hare has said.

- [Narrator] On October 16,
2012 then Home Secretary

Theresa May announced
to the House of Commons

that the extradition had
been blocked saying that

Mister McKinnon is
accused of serious crimes,

however McKinnon happens to
suffer from Asperger's Syndrome

as well as other depressive illnesses.

Because of this the decision
to extradite was considered

incompatible with his basic human rights.

This case highlights a
potential truth embargo

and the lengths that
major governments might go

to protect secrets.

And again, once again, I
know cameras have gotten

so much better that it's
very possible that they're

able to see these things
in the color spectrums.

- [Narrator] After exploring
potential hard evidence

for UFOs in outer space
what about all the sightings

that have occurred on land?

- [Interviewer] Tell me about
the first time you noticed

something strange in
the sky above Dunedoo.

Well, I came out here
in late 2012 in August

and pretty much the second
night I was staying here

I noticed a strange ball
of light moving across

the house in the backyard
on the property behind us.

And, it was moving very
slow over the rooftops.

And, it was actually
illuminating the rooftops

underneath it as it was moving.

[Damien Voiceover] This
thing is phenomenal.

It was just highly unusual,
and this was around 11 p.m.

in the evening.

And, in this town here
there's not many people

who are up at night.

There's not many street lights.

The town prides itself on
being one of the astronomy

capitals of Australia
because of the fact they not

much light pollution like in the city.

So, yeah the second night I
was here I saw a very strange,

large, spherical ball
which was half the size

of the house hovering above the house

and then heading north,
in the direction north

it was very unusual so and it just

continued since then
unabated, the sightings.

It's been a lot of
people have seen it now,

up to 80 people have
come up here and seen it

from all over in Australia.

And, it's just getting
bigger and bigger in number,

the actual eye witnesses
to what's going on.

- [Interviewer] I mean,
how long do you think it's

gonna take till people accept
that these things are real?

How do you mean accept?

At what level of the population becomes,

you mean when it becomes
a socially logical,

sociologically real, I don't know.

When does it reach a level like that?

It won't happen in Australia.

Our most favorite TV
show, new TV show started

it was a belly flop thing
where people jump off

the sides of pool to see
how big the splash they make

in the pool.

That's a TV show.

If that can get aired how
would this stuff get aired?

- [Interviewer] Can you
talk a little bit about that

'cause I'm very interested
in the fact that people

tend to absorb their time with

sort of nonsensical information, right,

things that just don't really
advance their thinking?

You've got people that are
watching belly flop shows, right?

That was great that you talked about that.

Tell me how you can relate
that to maybe somebody

who spends way too much
time watching footie,

a bunch of guys smashing--
It's the same thing,

there's no difference.

- [Interviewer] Go ahead, talk about that.

What our problem it's the
dumbing down of society.

It's across, it's cross-cultural.

You're not supposed to think anymore.

What's really scary to
me is if you watch that

morose garbage on TV and
drink special amounts

of methyl alcohol and put
your money in a special box

where you have very high
odds of pulling it and follow

a football team through an
inflatable bladder around

and go to work and die at
62.3 having 2.4 kids that's

normal, but actually
looking up into the sky

and looking at things,
or looking at stuff from

a slightly different angle is not normal?

That's what really scares me
'cause what we're interested

in is technically not normal.

And, as Damien told you he
almost attracted a psychiatric

label for filming what he's seeing.

So, they're implying
it was a hallucination,

but he's filming it.

To me, you're attracting a
decent case of medication

if you feel I can film my hallucination.

That a doctor can suggest
how it describes facts,

that to me is really scary.

'Cause this is an aberrant belief system,

we're on the fringe of society.

This is an outlier belief system.

This is insane what we're talking about.

- [Interviewer] But, tell me what is sane.

Well sane is being a robot,
taking your brain out

and just going to work and
doing and never thinking

outside the box.

That's how they classify
sanity, never actually thinking.

And, none of us are running
around like headless chooks.

We're holding down jobs and
mortgages and blah, blah, blah.

So, we're not completely
nuts, but our belief system

is nutty enough there to
actually look up into the sky.

And, Damien's maybe even
more dangerous 'cause

he's filming something
that's not supposed to exist.

- [Narrator] One of the
most controversial events

that has taken place was a
massive daylight sighting

that happened in Australia.

- [Interviewer] With the
Westall incident just tell us

about what happened and why
it's important to the world.

The Westall incident is
an absolutely fascinating

flying saucer incident.

It's probably the largest mass
witnessed daylight sighting

of a flying saucer, certainly in Australia

and probably in the world.

On the sixth of April in 1966
in a place called Westall

in the southeastern suburbs
of Melbourne, Australia's

second largest city, at
around 10:15 in the morning

some students who were
out on the playing field

at Westall high school
noticed, just out of the blue,

this flying saucer type
object appeared above them

in the sky.

And, within several minutes
a huge number of the students

at both Westall high
school and the neighboring

primary school next door,
Westall State School

witnessed this flying
saucer shaped object.

Some people say it was
one, quite a few witnesses

remember seeing more than
one, two or three flying

low in the sky above
the two Westall schools.

And then, the students
watched as the flying saucer

flew several hundred meters
to the south of the school

and disappeared behind
a grove of pine trees.

Because so many of the
students saw the flying saucer

going into the direction of
this place called the Grange

and so many of the students
knew the Grange so well

because it was an area
very close to their school

they did what they knew very much against

the school's rules, jumped
the school boundary fence,

raced over the road and chased
after the flying saucer.

A small number of student
were lucky enough to arrive

in time to see the flying
saucer still on the ground,

or at least very close to the
ground and they watched it

as it lifted up, tilted
onto it's side, and then

flew off at an incredible speed.

- [Interviewer] Are any of
those students alive today?

Nearly all of those
students are still with us,

still alive today.

I've been in touch with
almost 100 witnesses

who remember seeing the
flying saucer themselves,

about 150 students who
remember seeing the circles

left behind in the grassy
paddock where the flying

saucer came down, and
something like 60 students

who were lucky enough to have
seen both of those things.

- [Interviewer] Now, in
the history of this event

there was one individual,
quite prolific, who would be

Andrew the science teacher.

Can you tell us a bit
about his involvement

and how it may have affected his life?

Sure, well Mister Andrew
Greenwood was one of the

two science teachers at
the school at that time.

There was a male teacher
and a female teacher.

Andrew Greenwood was teaching
science to a class at the time

when the flying saucer appeared
and a student rushed in

to his class from outside.

A girl who had been doing
physical education at the time

yelling out, "There's a
flying saucer outside,

"a flying saucer outside."

After a few minutes Andrew
gathered his class together

and went out to investigate himself.

And, sure enough, getting
out onto the playing field

he saw a flying saucer for
himself as did the students

who were in his science class.

Andrew was very much
affected by what he had seen.

He could clearly see what it
was that the students saw,

as well, and about a week or
two later there was a knock

at his door at his home.

And, he opened the door
to see two uniformed Royal

Australian Air Force
officers on his doorstep.

He thought, "Okay, they're
coming around to talk to me

"about what I've seen to
take down more details

"about what I had seen."

But, in fact, they'd come
around to do the very opposite.

They came around to say,
"Andrew, there are no such things

"as flying saucers and we
don't want you talking again

"about what you say you saw.

"In fact, if you talk again
to the media," at that point

in time he had spoken to
the local newspaper and his

account and his photograph
had appeared in the newspaper.

"If you talk again about
what you have seen we will

"make sure that you don't
teach again in this state."

They were coming around
to threaten him to put

the hard word on him.

Now obviously, he was very
shaken by this and he remembers

thinking at the time, "If
there are no such things

"as flying saucers why are
you two Air Force officers

"so keen for me to not
say that I've seen one?

"Why are you two people
so keen for me not to talk

"about what I have seen."

- [NASA Narrator] The arm
in the lower right corner

of the picture which was
a position that Anna had

put it in to assist in
our station keeping test.

- [NASA Narrator] A German space agency.

A German space agency.

- [Narrator] If there were a
danger out there in the stars,

another intelligence
that was willing to enter

our atmosphere without
permission, willing to alter

our way of life by simply
revealing themselves

what could be the reason, why now?

Could it be to eventually
take advantage or exploit

mankind as a resource?

That certainly would be
a worthy cause for NASA

to keep secrets.

Or, is there something even
more unbelievable at hand?

Perhaps a group of elite
humans have closed the world

off from this interaction.

Or maybe these off-worlders
themselves are the ones

trying to keep the secrets.

NASA has partnered with
Robert Bigelow who's an

unconventional figure
in the aerospace world.

He's more at home on the
Vegas strip then at America's

space agency and he's
obsessed with aliens and UFOs.

In the Spring of last year
he and NASA carried out

an historic test to prove
his high flying technology

is ready to support humans in space.

Witnessing those explosions
in the 50s and 60s

you weren't aware of the
ultimate ramifications

of those kinds of things.

But, there was a real
strong feeling of energy

and a secretiveness and so forth.

It was cool.

- [Narrator] He told us this
is where his grandparents

had a close encounter
with a UFO and explains

the alien looking out from
the side of Bigelow Aerospace.

You believe in aliens?

I'm absolutely convinced,
that's all there is to it.

Do you also believe that
UFOs have come to Earth?

There has been and is
an existing presence,

an E.T. presence.

And, I've spent millions
and millions, I've probably

spent more as an individual
than anybody else in

the United States has ever
spent on this subject.

Is it risky for you to
say in public that you

that you believe--
I don't give a damn.

In UFOs and aliens?

I don't care.

You don't worry that
some people will say that

you're that guy, he
sounds like he's crazy.

I don't care.
Why not?

It's not gonna make a difference.

It's not gonna change
reality of what I know.

Do you imagine that in our space travels

we will encounter other
forms of intelligent life?

You don't have to go anywhere.
