There you go.

Hurry and get up there.

Jin Ju, Sweetie,

whatever life throws at you,

you're strong enough to handle it.

Jin Ju.

My little girl.

Dad loves you more than anything.

Dad.

No.

This is not my fault.

Just a minor car accident, right?

With them hospitalized and all eyes on them,

the company falls into your hands.

You're sure there isn't...

anything else behind this, is there?

Why? Do you think I'd actually have them killed?

As I said, it's not a big deal.

Picture a small fender bender,

then let it go.

First, use CEO Baek's daughter as bait

to bring him out.

Once CEO Baek gets there,

just slip in and remove the dashcam.

Leave everything else to me.

Once you've verified it all went smoothly,

that's the end of it.

Right from the start...

So that's it.

Murder was his plan the whole time.

Dad.

Dad.

Dad!

Dad!

Did Baek Jin Ju survive?

Somebody help me.

There's an injured person.

Choi Yu Na.

Yu Na, is that you?

Yu Na.

My dad is in that car.

Help me pull him out.

Every second counts. Quick, dial 911. Please!

Yu Na, I'm begging you, help me!

Down at the bottom is where you'll be.

Baek Jin Ju will sit at the top.

Your lives will exist in totally separate worlds.

To accept or reject my offer,

that choice could reshape your future,

along with Baek Jin Ju's.

Baek Jin Ju.

If Jin Ju survives,

what happens to me?

Yu Na!

I don't want to be stuck at the bottom.

I want to rise above you,

to the very top.

I can't let this

fall apart now.

It's not my fault.

Baek Jin Ju,

you left me no choice.

Yu Na?

I'm not the one who deserves the blame.

Chairman Park Tae Ho is behind all of it!

Why are you out here?

Shouldn't I be the one asking that?

A head injury patient like you needs complete bed rest.

Then why did you come here?

An urgent meeting came up.

"A meeting"?

Whom exactly did you slip out to see?

Who is that?

Tell me who.

Director Kim.

I apologize for the wait.

Mrs. Han over at Ihwachae sent me here.

She wants to return your son's file.

"Ihwachae"?

[Personal profile]

Wait, so...

you came here to meet...

Mrs. Han called me while I was at the hospital.

Their standard policy is to return files to former clients.

Since you warned me away from Ihwachae, I had them come to me.

Min Jun's private info

shouldn't be in anyone else's hands.

Well, I should get going.

But how did you...

Seriously, how did you find me here?

Have you been tracking me?

I am not tracking you.

I am just protecting you.

"Protecting me"?

Well...

Don't you remember?

You came to me holding little Min Ju

and begged me to protect you both.

To do that I have to...

keep an eye on you at all times.

I heard you snuck out although you were hurt today.

Of course, that worried me.

Am I right?

I was going to send Manager Kang.

But I decided to come see for myself.

I see.

Sorry if I made you worry over nothing.

No.

Don't mention it.

Anyway, it's taken care of for now.

You can relax.

What happened to Chairman Park?

He left someone to keep an eye on me.

By now, he must have heard I'm back at the hospital.

Aigoo, my heart nearly stopped.

I was so worried.

I was terrified his people followed you.

And we ended up using Plan B on Chairman Park himself.

At least we made it.

It's a good thing that we were prepared.

Also, give Woo Jin my thanks.

Family steps up; that's what they do.

What's going on with Dr. Baek?

He wouldn't just disappear without a word.

Could he have gotten into an accident?

Murder was your plan the whole time.

You used me to kill them both!

Both of them?

So are you saying that they're definitely both gone?

An explosion took the whole car. It's obvious!

Your real intent was to kill them,

and you tricked me it would just be an accident.

There's blood on my hands due to you.

And because of you I'm... I'm...

Are you joking?

That's a dangerous accusation.

Do you have any proof I gave you the order?

Well...

Framing an innocent person without proof is a crime!

In addition,

you just confessed to being part

of a murder.

Which means

this confession gives me serious leverage.

"This is not my fault. I was used."

Say that as many times as you like.

You chose to steal Jin Ju's life.

All of it is due to your own choices!

Since you can't undo what you did,

go right ahead.

Sit back and live it up

with all you took.

Get out of my way.

Are you still lying around?

Wh-What's going on?

Are you digging through Jin Ju's stuff again?

All of this has to go.

I must destroy every last piece.

Seriously... Have you lost your mind?

What will you tell Jin Ju when she asks for her things?

That is enough now.

Aigoo...

- What... - Honey!

Honey! CEO Baek...

- Baek, Baek... - What happened?

CEO Baek...

What about him?

T-Tell me about CEO B-Baek.

Did he cut your pay or something?

No, it's not that.

Then what is it?

Seriously...

Aigoo, just tell me!

Spill it! Wh-What happened to CEO Baek?

What's wrong with you?

Just say it already!

Oh, come on. What's with you two?

There was a car accident?

How's Dr. Baek? Is he all right?

It blew up,

and his daughter was in the car, too.

Stay out of Dr. Baek's business from now on.

If anyone learns you two knew each other, they'll be suspicious.

But Dr. Baek...

He'd understand; you know that about him.

He wants what's best for us.

How...

How could this happen?

This is insane.

This is impossible.

Your innocent sister was taken first,

and now Dr. Baek...

A man like him died so suddenly.

[Adele Group]

Are you suggesting...

to frame CEO Baek's accident as a suicide?

There was a sudden acceleration, then the car exploded.

Would it not be a waste

to leave it at that?

We should make the most of this opportunity.

What are you even saying?

I altered Temi Bio's books on my own.

Here, take these.

Hold a press conference.

"A press conference"?

CEO Baek hid a second set of books

and stole company money.

You found out the truth and planned to report him.

But he panicked,

and he killed himself and his daughter.

What are you saying?

CEO Baek's suicide note will be found in his hotel room soon.

But Chairman...

Once Temi Bio's reputation falls, I'll buy it.

And you'll get Adele Group shares.

Exactly as we laid it out before,

let's tie this up cleanly.

[Confidential, Special handling]

Hold on.

I mean, don't you think...

this goes too far?

CEO Baek is already gone.

He can't stand in our way now.

Is it necessary to accuse him of fraud

and claim he murdered his own child?

That man had the nerve

to look down on me.

I am not making any deal with Adele Group.

Do not attempt to buy my company again.

I can reveal Adele Group's illegal activities,

and I can absolutely fight back.

Even if he is already dead,

he has to pay for treating me like a criminal.

I'm returning the favor.

Now go. Handle your end.

Yes.

Our police contact filled me in.

There were multiple explosions and nothing is left at the scene.

The body is beyond recognition.

The car is almost completely burned.

Even forensics will not find anything to recover.

Is that right?

You used me to kill them both!

Both of them?

So are you saying that they're definitely both gone?

An explosion took the whole car. It's obvious!

Choi Yu Na confirmed it so nothing is left to verify.

Arrange for the police to close this case fast.

Once Choi Sam Sik finishes the press conference,

let my wife take care of the rest.

Yes, I understand.

This right here...

[Confidential, Special handling, Financial Ledger]

is proof that CEO Baek Jun Gi was embezzling.

A suicide note turned up

at his hotel, and it matches perfectly

with the tip I originally gave.

His actions were inexcusable,

but he was a dear old friend of mine.

Let him at least...

have a peaceful burial.

[Temi Bio CEO, Baek Jun Gi, Dead] [CEO Choi Sam Sik Alleges Embezzlement]

[Kim Myeong Hui, Jewelry Division Director]

Is it a suicide by embezzlement?

That's absolutely absurd!

Exactly.

Embezzlement evidence and even a suicide note...

Something is not right.

This accident is being covered up.

That's just as I thought.

It's concussion.

Do you really think I would fall for this?

There's that look again.

I should have finished you back then.

All right, it's enough. Let's move.

We have much work to do.

Consider yourself lucky today.

I have things to handle for the Chairman so I'll let it slide.

Are you even aware of that?

Is she helping the Chairman?

Wait a second.

They're not connected to this, are they?

It's time to find out.

If this was staged and covered up,

I can already guess how they'll handle it.

Fill me in.

The body is too damaged to identify,

and the suicide note clearly supports suicide.

CEO Choi pushed for a quick funeral,

and closing the case won't be an issue for our team.

The second the case is shut,

announce the Temi Bio acquisition.

Yes, I understood.

When Choi Sam Sik gets his shares,

keep him quiet about everything.

What about Choi Yu Na? Should we handle that?

Save the Choi Yu Na leverage for later.

For now, the shares are keeping him in line.

But if he tries to blackmail us later,

we will tell him his daughter was involved in a murder.

Using her was strategic from the start.

Got it.

By the way, what about Min Jun?

Let him be.

Did he abandon his own mother for a girl?

He won't do it.

Eventually, the whole thing will fade from his memory.

[Police Line]

I'm here about the accident victims.

Where is Baek Jin Ju?

"Victims"?

You mean the driver and the passenger, right?

Nothing could be recovered after the explosion.

Everything left went with the wreckage.

Jin Ju...

No, this isn't real.

Unfortunately, nearby road cameras confirmed

that they both were inside the vehicle.

Plus, the driver's suicide note spells out a clear motive.

"Suicide"?

We are wrapping up here

so you should head back.

Did he kill himself while he was driving?

No way... Absolutely not.

How could he do that to Jin Ju?

Th-This can't be happening.

The heat must've been unbearable. How were you in here?

I didn't even get to apologize to you.

There's still so much...

I want to say to you.

What am I supposed to do now?

Everything about this is so wrong.

Once something is charred beyond saving,

there's no way we ever forget it.

Baek Jin Ju.

[Last night]

Jin Ju. Baek Jin Ju.

Sweetheart, you need to open your eyes now.

Jin Ju, you can't stay here.

Staying here isn't safe.

Hurry, get out of here!

Somebody help me.

Please, I need help.

Down on the road...

My dad's still there.

Please.

Can anyone out there help me?

Dad...

Dad...

Dad.

Dad.

Where's Dad?

Temi Bio's story is blowing up everywhere.

After CEO Baek Jun Gi's sudden crash,

Korean branch head Choi Sam Sik went public

that CEO Baek embezzled company funds.

Between Baek Jun Gi's crash and these embezzlement charges now out,

- This can't be right. - The situation keeps getting messier.

Authorities are looking into the crash itself as well as reviewing CEO Choi's claims.

Updates will follow as new details emerge.

Chairman Park snatched up Temi Bio.

It feels like he planned this from the start.

If Dr. Baek's crash was not an accident,

then...

Oh Jung Ran will cover it up.

Everyone involved in this operation needs to stay silent.

When does this kind of dirty work end?

Are you afraid again?

A person actually died this time...

Keep your voice down.

Quit the hesitation and do what you're told.

As long as Chairman Park stays on our side,

until my Hyun Jun takes over,

I will do whatever it takes.

How many people die, we keep going.

Do you understand?

Now that CEO Baek is gone,

the embezzlement charges die with him.
