[Pursuit of Jade]

[Episode 29]

Is the Prince still alive?

Yes.

He is now

Lord Changxin's oldest son.

Sui Yuanhuai.

Who let you make a fire in this yard?

Are you blind?

Take out your eyes.

Please forgive me, Young Master!

Go away now!

I'll leave right now.

How dare you hit me?

For a poor servant?

In your heart, am I

worth less than a poor servant?

I just don't want you to kill again.

She is a poor person, and so are you.

After the Jinzhou Massacre,

Lord Changxin's wife took her oldest son,

Sui Yuanhuai, to the palace

to stay with the Princess.

But then, a fire started in the East Palace.

The Princess and the Prince

both died in that fire.

Lord Changxin's oldest son was badly burned.

He hid away after that

and never saw anyone again.

So the real Sui Yuanhuai...

He probably died 17 years ago

in that fire at the East Palace.

You say I am a poor person?

Aren't you?

You are selfish and cruel.

You are sneaky and moody.

Everyone who works for you must be very careful.

One mistake, and they die.

But all of this is fake.

You're just hiding your fear.

You are a poor person.

You also say I am poor.

That year when my mother

pushed me into the fire,

she also said I was poor.

Mother!

Min.

Mother!

Only this way can you live.

Mother!

[Virtuous and Meritorious]

Min.

Stay alive.

So, for all these years,

Lord Changxin never suspected

that his oldest son was switched?

He always said

he couldn't feel close to the Young Master.

But who would suspect their own son?

The Young Master's personality changed a lot after the burn.

That's normal.

It was a father's feeling

that made him dislike the Young Master from when he was young.

The position of Next Leader

was given to his second son, Sui Yuanqing.

So,

Sui Yuanqing coming to Lin'an

was also a plan by the Prince?

The Prince knew you were in Lin'an

and wanted to use you

to kill Sui Yuanqing.

The Chongzhou Army had not lost yet.

If they had taken Jizhou,

they could have marched south, attacked the palace,

and probably forced the Emperor to give up.

But Sui Yuanqing is the Next Leader.

He'll be the only one to become king in the future.

So,

the Prince really wants him to die.

My mother worked hard all her life for the East Palace,

but died sadly.

Qi Min even wanted to kill his own son.

Crown Prince Chengde was known for being loyal and good...

His descendant

is really a fake person,

a cruel and heartless person.

What's with Lin'an's luck?

First, it kept the Marquis,

then it hid the son of the East Palace.

That Yu Qianqian,

don't tell me she's someone important too.

Your Lordship and Mr. Gongsun guessed right.

The owner of the Yixiang Restaurant

is really his runaway wife.

Yu Bao'er

is the Young Prince.

You don't know

what pain I have suffered

to stay alive until today.

So you give your pain

to others?

I was born a special person chosen by heaven.

The throne of Great Yin

should have been mine.

But now,

I live with a horrible false name,

just trying to stay alive.

If Qi Min becomes

the king one day,

the people will really suffer.

Your Lordship, you're a great hero.

If you are

willing to help the Young Prince become king,

it'll be good for the common people.

About the Jinzhou Massacre

how much more do you know?

I don't know much.

Qi Min

might know the truth.

Back then,

Crown Prince Chengde, who died in Jinzhou,

was your father?

Yes.

I made the trap

to force Lord Changxin to fight back,

just to take the chance

to take back the kingdom that should be mine,

making Wei Yan

and everyone who killed my family

all die.

But after defeating Wei Yan, there's the Marquis.

What makes you think you have a chance?

Even if I lose,

as long as I can make the Xie and Wei families

and Lord Changxin destroy each other,

even if I die,

someone will die for me.

What do you mean?

I have power over Lord Changxin.

This Tiger Tally

is clear proof of the Jinzhou Massacre.

This Tiger Tally doesn't match.

That means the one holding the other half

is the real killer behind the massacre.

You're holding half of it, and Lord Changxin has the other half.

That would mean you two are the killers.

I'm afraid

this can't clear your name,

and can't threaten him either.

Your Lordship,

you are a smart man.

You and I

should work together.

Wei Yan

has always had big ambitions.

He wants

the position of ruler for himself,

wants his son to become king.

The man who helped him,

the Prince,

had to become a ghost wandering the world.

And your parents

both died in Jinzhou because they were used.

But Wei Yan lived well.

Your Lordship,

I ask you,

don't you want revenge?

I want revenge.

But I am not interested

in the throne.

I don't want to work with you.

I can tell you clearly now,

whatever you want to do,

I won't help you.

If you try to hurt Changyu,

I will kill you.

Unfortunately,

since you don't want to work with me,

don't blame me

for being cruel to you.

Your Lordship!

Your Lordship.

Your Lordship!

Lord Changxin!

Your Lordship!

Your Lordship!

What's wrong?

What happened?

What poison is this?

It's a poison

that can only be cured by the Thousand Year Pearl.

But the Thousand Year Pearl was already burned

by you, Your Lordship.

You wanted me to die,

and I wanted you to die too.

I won't forgive you.

From the start,

you were the one who wanted me dead.

You wanted to kill Bao'er too.

And now,

you tried to poison me.

Do you really think

I'm that easy to fool?

But,

the Thousand Year Pearl was real.

It was burned.

How...

How?

The one I gave you to burn

was a fake.

I knew you didn't trust me,

so I made a fake one

that looks exactly the same.

I gave you the fake to burn.

Where is the real one now?

There's no cure.

I won't live past three days.

And you will die too,

in a very painful way.

This is your punishment!

Your punishment!

Qi Min.

You are such a cruel person.

Even if you die,

I will not let your plan work.

I'll tell everyone in the world

what kind of person you really are.

My plan?

Don't you know?

The really clever person

was never me.

But Lord Changxin.

He is the one who planned everything!

The Counselor discovered that I was still alive.

He came to me secretly and said,

as long as I help Lord Changxin to start a war,

he will help me get revenge on Wei Yan.

I have no power and no army.

I'm just a tool being used.

So I agreed.

I went to Lin'an.

I met Qianqian.

We had Bao'er.

I lived a normal life,

a life like a real person.

But Lord Changxin,

he doesn't care about my life or death.

He only cares

about using me to reach his goal.

I can't trust

anyone in this world anymore.

Bao'er.

Bao'er!

Take Bao'er away.

Bao'er!

Give me back my son!

Bao'er!

Give me back my son!

Bao'er!

Bao'er!

Bao'er!

Bao'er!

Bao'er!

Bao'er!

Bao'er!

What's wrong with His Lordship?

He's been poisoned.

We need to find the cure quickly.

Can we cure it?

I don't know yet.

But we have to try.

Quick!

Get water and medicine!

This poison

is very strong.

His Lordship is in danger.

Changyu,

we must find the cure.

I will do my best.

Your Lordship,

please hold on.

We will definitely save you.

Counselor,

His Lordship is very sick.

He was poisoned.

What should we do?

Don't worry.

I have a way.

But we need to act fast.

What is your plan?

The Young Prince Qi Min

said the only cure

is the Thousand Year Pearl.

But the pearl was burned.

Or so we thought.

What do you mean?

The pearl Qi Min gave us

was fake.

The real one

is still with him.

Where is he now?

I don't know.

But we must find him.

For His Lordship.

I understand.

I will find him.

No matter what.

Search everywhere!

We must find Qi Min!

Yes, sir!

Any news?

Not yet.

We're still looking.

Keep searching!

We can't give up!

Your Lordship,

please hold on.

We will save you.

How is he?

Not good.

The poison is spreading.

We need the cure soon.

Or he will die.

Don't give up.

We will find it.

Counselor!

We found him!

Where?

In the old temple.

Let's go!

Right now!

Qi Min!

Where are you?

There he is!

Qi Min!

Give us the pearl!

Never!

Let him die!

Stop him!

Got him!

The pearl!

Where is it?

Tell us!

Here!

I found it!

Quick!

Take it to His Lordship!

Hurry!

We must save him!

Changyu,

we got it!

The pearl!

Give it to me!

Your Lordship,

drink this.

Please work.

Is he better?

Look!

He's breathing better!

Thank heaven!

Your Lordship,

you're going to be okay.

Rest now.

You need to heal.

Thank you.

All of you.

Three days later

Your Lordship,

you look much better.

I feel better.

The poison is gone.

That's good.

Changyu,

thank you.

You saved my life.

You're welcome.

I'm just glad

you're okay.

From now on,

we must be careful.

There are many enemies.

I know.

But I'm not afraid.

As long as

we're together,

I can face anything.

You're right.

Together,

we can do anything.

One week later

The army is ready.

Good.

It's time

to fight back.

Soldiers!

Hear me!

Today,

we march!

We will protect

our people!

We will protect

our land!

And we will win!

Yes!

We will win!

Forward!

March!

For victory!

For our home!

Charge!

The battle begins

Attack!

Fight!

Don't give up!

Keep fighting!

For our people!

Victory!

We won!

But the war

is not over yet.

There are more battles

to come.

We must prepare.

The enemy

is still strong.

But we are stronger.

We will not lose.

A few weeks later

News arrived.

Lord Changxin

is coming.

With his army.

This will be

the final battle.

Are you ready?

Yes.

I'm ready.

Then let's go.

To the battlefield.

One month later

Changyu,

I'm pregnant.

What?

Really?

Yes.

We're going to have a baby.

That's wonderful!

I'm so happy!

Me too.

But Changyu,

the war...

Don't worry.

I'll be careful.

I promise.

I'll come back

to you and our child.

Promise me.

I promise.

At the battlefield

Your Lordship,

they're here.

Lord Changxin's army.

How many soldiers?

Many.

More than us.

But we have

something they don't.

What's that?

Hope.

And courage.

We fight

for our families.

For our future.

So we will win.

Soldiers!

Are you ready?

Yes!

We're ready!

Then fight

with all your heart!

Fight

for victory!

Charge!

The final battle

Attack!

Fight!

Don't stop!

Keep going!

For our home!

Victory is near!

Push forward!

We can win!

Lord Changxin!

I'm here!

Face me!

Marquis!

I've been waiting!

Let's end this!

Soldiers!

Attack!

Charge!

Kill them all!

Charge!

Charge!
