I've been researching
a number of other sites

over the course of
the last few years.

And one in particular
that keeps coming up

is Mount Shasta in
Northern California.

Mount Shasta seems to be a
center of gravity for phenomena

that is very similar to
what we've been seeing

here at Skinwalker Ranch.

Everything from UFO
or UAP phenomena

to electromagnetic
anomalies, strange creatures,

and other activity
that has been reported

for decades, if not millennia.

And people seem
drawn to that area.

It has a very profound impact.

So it sounds like
there's an entire community

of experiencers, then, who may
be resources for the research.

Indeed.

Has there been a detailed
scientific investigation yet?

Or has it been more the
enthusiast and the researcher

type investigation?

The enthusiasts,
for the most part.

And that's what I think
we have the opportunity

to bring to the table, to
actually document the reality

or be able to identify a
natural explanation for a lot

of the strange phenomena.

Now, Brandon gave
us a really brief

heads up about Mount Shasta.

So we were able to pull some
initial information that I

want to share with you guys.

Because I think a lot of what
we're talking about right

now is really relevant.

So what I have up
on screen now is

an actual USGS survey of the
area around Mount Shasta.

And it clearly shows
that there's some kind

of intense magnetic activity.

Wow.

TRAVIS TAYLOR: Notice
that the magnetic anomaly

is following the fault line.

And it looks like
Mount Shasta is

right at the top of that fault.
And that's a pretty strong

magnetic field right there.

Well, I mean, one
thing to keep in mind is,

you know, Shasta is
an active volcano.

Yeah, that lines up well
with what you just said.

It sure does, yeah.

One thing that continues to be
a persistent part of the record

of Mount Shasta is there is an
underground element, everything

from lava tubes to even
underground structures that have

been reported in that area
that may actually hold

the key to some of the answers.

Yeah, no question.

We have some
boots on the ground

there that I've
been collaborating

with, in particular, Helena
Reznor, who is a researcher.

Helena has actually spent
years focusing on that area

and meeting with people
who are experiencers

and also researchers that can
help aid our investigation.

And it's always nice
to walk in when we know

we have an ally on the ground.

thinking to that end,

we're going to reach out to law
enforcement, the local Sheriff

Jeremiah LaRue.

I mean, this is an
area where there's

gonna be a lot of reports.

Whether they're official,
whether they're on file or not,

we'll just see what we find.

the moment where we say,

strikes me about
this place, I mean,

just as we're driving in here
is, like, look at how vast

it is.

I mean, of all the
places we've been so far,

the distance, you

see Mount Shasta, like, towering
over everything in the area.

be deceived into looking

past the fact that it's
also a very strange

place, a very mysterious place.

almost has that kind of Close

Encounters vibe, right?

This is a place that
people are drawn to.

They can't necessarily
even explain why,

but they just need to be there.

There really does seem
to be a relationship

between the people who come
here and the mountain itself.

may be ultimately

the origin of the lore that
goes back thousands of years

here that this
mountain is alive.

The question is, can we
get some data to back up

what people say they've seen.

There's so much
ground to cover here.

think about just

splitting up right off the bat.

is I'll connect with the local
sheriff, with Sheriff LaRue.

You know, he's been
here his whole life.

He's told us that he's been
getting tons of reports,

actually an uptick in
the past few years,

that speak to the experiences
that people are having.

There's some kind of mystery
around the mountain here.

And no one's been able to
quite unravel what that is.

come to start their journey
to ascend Mount Shasta.

our reports come from.

Talking to the local
sheriff, that's unusual.

I mean, we don't
always get cooperation

from law enforcement.

But someone like
Sheriff LaRue who

is from here who can verify
some of these stories,

this is a great asset for us.

heads to Ascension Rock,
a notorious hot spot

near the base of Mount Shasta.

electromagnetic the area

is going to be in nature.

And what it's showing us
is that the magnetic field

here is acting consistently and
predictably over and over again.

to Ascension Rock,

be the hot spot.

So it's pointing

It disorients by
45 degrees, I'd say.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: Look at that.

It's telling me
north is that way.

North is this way.

to point northwest right now.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: I've still
got normal readings down here.

HELENA REZNOR: OK,
totally disorients here.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: Really?

HELENA REZNOR: It disorients
by 45 degrees, I'd say.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: Look at that.

It's telling me
north is that way.

North is this way.

I am a solid 90 degrees off.

They're the exact same compass.

Exact same compass, yeah.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: And if
we move them six inches,

they completely change.

What we just saw with
our magnetic compasses

and with old school
dowsing rods, like,

this formation has a
strong charge to it.

My suspicion is that this is
happening all over the area.

It's just that this is
an area that's well known

but that if we were
to expand our search,

I bet we would find more
areas like this that share

some sort of
energetic connection

through the volcano in some way.

HELENA REZNOR: Absolutely.

PAUL BEBAN: This place has
been really a pilgrimage

maybe for millennia.

What's your take on it?

What is the story of this place?

JEREMIAH LARUE: This mountain
puts out a lot of energy.

I've talked to a lot of
people that have come here.

And it's all different.

People describe
speaking telepathically.

They seek healing.

They seek maybe a
revelation of some kind.

I mean, obviously,
it's beautiful.

It's wide open.

You have a great
shot of Mount Shasta.

It draws a lot of
people to this area.

Yeah.

And then we, of course,
have the aerial phenomena

that is unique to the area.

We actually get
quite a few calls up

here for people that are just
seeing things that they don't

normally see, whether
it's orbs in the sky,

whether it's actual
craft, or people that

have been out hiking,
skiing and they

report seeing figures seven
feet tall and they were glowing.

They don't have backpacks.

They don't have skis with them.

There's no reason that
they would see them

in some of these remote areas.

Have you ever had any
personal experiences?

I have, you know,
one not that long ago.

I saw a black
triangle, no lights.

And I just saw it
cruising through the sky.

And at first I thought, well,
it's probably satellites.

But as it started to pass,
it slowed down a little bit

and then made a 90-degree turn.

When it passed, it blocked
out the stars behind it.

And I don't know what it was.

Those are moments that, you
know, I'm just being honest,

I couldn't tell you what it is.

And so I put that in the
category of the unexplained.

Even if just a tiny fraction
are actually something--

Right, I don't think
you can rule them all out.

And I think this would be
a potentially great location

for a night investigation.

Because we have equipment
to observe the night sky.

experiment at night

to see if they can
capture evidence of a UAP.

a little bit of the equipment

that we have here real quick.

So what we're looking at here
is a thermal imaging camera.

This is the most
sophisticated version of FLIR.

It's high definition.

And it wasn't available
to us last year

at any of our experimentations
and it's never

set foot on Skinwalker Ranch.

NARRATOR: The FLIR T1030 is a
high definition thermal camera

that has a long-range
capability to capture

the environment's
heat signatures

and convert them into
digital video images.

This has never been available
outside of the military before.

And that's trained
on Mount Shasta.

That's gonna be our best friend
for seeing anything outside

of the visible spectrum.

Here and here we
got flight tracker

data, satellite tracker data.

So we're always trying to rule
out aircraft in any sightings

that we see overhead.

JEREMIAH LARUE: Right.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: Here, we
have two tools called UFODAPs.

These are our eyes in the
sky, AI-powered machines that

are designed to be watching
the sky at all times

because we're going to be
watching everything else.

And if they find something
that doesn't fit their AI

index of pre-recorded
data, then they'll

zoom in, record, and alert us.

So if we do see
something in the sky,

then we'll be able to actually
record it and enhance the light

that it's giving
us so that we'll be

able to really see it clearly.

It's a lot of
comfort blankets.

Because we really only get one
chance to set it up tonight,

of creative thing on standby.

The Skinwalker team has had
investigations where we've

seen some kind of response that
comes from actual auditory tones

at specific frequencies.

So it might be worth us
running a couple of frequencies

up against the environment
and seeing if it

causes any kind of response.

back a 192-hertz audio tone.

starting to get that
almost a tail right there.

And there it is progressing.

All of a sudden this night

So the zone where that
would have been visible

on this recording, right?

Shape, color is consistent
with the other anomalies

that we've seen.

the coldest part of the sky.

It darted straight across from

For all we the visual
orbs that are being reported

are just a fraction of
all the orb activity.

Because they're not using
thermal imaging technology.

This may be something
completely new, a thermal orb.

at that footage.

Here's the orb you
saw off to the right.

had the same shape?

Similar trajectories.

They appeared at the same time.

different speeds.

different speeds.

One of the things that
just I can't ignore

is the fact that these objects
that we see on the FLIR

seem to be going
towards Mount Shasta.

Whether we see slow moving orbs
or fast moving orbs or groups

of orbs, they all seem
to be centering on Mount

Shasta as their destination.

I don't know what this is.

I have no explanation for this.

It's kind of freaking me out.

What are these hot,
high-speed objects?

And they're outside
of the visible spectrum.

Right.

I mean, is this normal?

I've never seen
anything like it before.

Those are clearly
objects moving at speed,

not just some sort of
weird temperature anomaly.

I'm feeling a little
bit overwhelmed, man.

There's this, there's this.

That's still going.

Once we triggered the
192-hertz tone that we borrowed

from Skinwalker Ranch--

--that's when
we really started

tracking to multiple changes.

But what has me fascinated
right now with what's going on

in the FLIR is the
continuity, the continuity

in terms of the
temperature signature

that each of those
anomalies is putting off.

They're within the same
range of each other.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: The shape,
the size, they're consistent.

Yeah, it brings up
just a lot more questions

like we're asking.

What are these things?

We'll dig into it
as much as we can.

And anything we learn, we'll

what I saw at Ascension Rock

my mind with the amount

of energy that's coming
out of that rock formation.

Like, the magnetic fields,
the electrical energies there

were all over the map.

Which makes me
wonder, like, if we're

seeing those kind of
conditions on the surface

of the mountain,
what's going on inside

that's generating that energy?

There is so much going
on here that maybe

the story is
actually underground

rather than above ground.

When I think about
the Skinwalker team,

they also suspect that the real
secrets of Skinwalker Ranch--

Right, is under the mesa.

But Skinwalker, they
don't have the opportunity

to get underground.

I mean, if they do, they're
going to have to drill.

There's an
extensive network all

over the Mount Shasta region.

We can literally walk in
to the underground layer

of this mountain.

Yeah, I think we've gotta
find that access point

and run experiments there.

extensive cave system in search
of evidence connecting to Mount

Shasta's strange energies.

At Skinwalker Ranch,

you know, Andy and I have

heard a lot about these caves.

This is our chance
to actually get in.

There's not just the
cave we're going to.

There's caves all
over these mountains.

A couple of years ago we found
a cave in the next canyon

over from our cave
called Samwel Cave.

And that comes from a Native
American term "sa-wal."

And a "sa-wal" is a place of
power for Native Americans

where they would go
to receive blessings

and strength and courage.

So there's many
sa-wals in this area.

I mean, often in
that mythology, right,

descending into a cave is a
portal into another world.

I mean, as long as human
beings have been here--

--these places have been
places of spiritual power.

One of the stories that
we've heard many times

about Mount Shasta
is, first of all,

that this is a
massive energy system.

We know that the underlying
geology here is unusual.

This is one of the most dynamic
parts of the entire North

American tectonic system.

And the heart of it is
the mountain itself.

If that's the case, then
what's inside the mountain,

the structure of it is really
going to be like the veins

and arteries, right?

If there's a key
to this mystery,

it's inside the mountain.

we're sitting in 250

million years of formation.

not just visual, but

this whole sensory experience.

A big part of
what brought us here

were the stories
about the phenomenon

and the mysteries
of the mountain.

Have you experienced
any of those yourselves?

Oh, pretty much
everybody on staff

has had some sort of experience
one way or the other,

from orbs or floating
figures inside the cave,

to a lot of audio things
that are really unexplained.

You've experienced
that personally?

MATT DOYLE: Oh,
correct, yes, I have.

What kind of stuff?

Anything from
children laughter

when we know that we're the
only people inside the cavern.

--in an empty cave?

Amazing.

Now you mentioned light
orbs inside the caves, which

is a truly unnatural
phenomenon to have

a source of light
in an area that

is absent of all natural light.

Some of our guests say that
they can see these portals

in the cave and that
they believe that you

can step through
one of these portals

and come out at Mount Shasta.

That's very consistent
with what we've

seen in other investigations.

And it certainly sounds like
possibly some of the stories

about skinwalkers, right,
using portals, using

energy anomalies to-- to--

to move from one
place to another.

certainly say it's

going to be our cathedral room.

could fit from here to there.

some experiments in here, man.

And we'll be able to

seen this kind of set

up before in the cavern?

This would be a first
for me, that's for sure.

are bringing technology

to Shasta Caverns
for the first time

to poke the hornet's nest with
a host of instruments designed

to capture anomalous
light, sound,

and energy deep in the heart of
the Mount Shasta cave system.

One of the things that's
different about this, we've

never done experiments
really indoors.

I mean, we're not indoors.

We're inside of a mountain.

But we're still going
to be running the FLIRs.

We're going to be looking
for thermal anomalies.

We're using a parabolic
mic for the first time.

This will pick up small
trace noises from anywhere

where it's
directionally pointed.

PAUL BEBAN: So if we
hear anything unusual,

we can really try to hone in on
it and see maybe what that is.

in on whatever radio frequencies

One thing that we hear
a lot from the team back

at Skinwalker Ranch is to watch
out for a misbehaving spectrum.

You'll know strange
when you see it.

can see that the energy

is low, fairly steady.
PAUL BEBAN: Little flickers.

just right off the bat

to see that we're
getting so much RF

activity in the cave itself.

So here, this is our
strongest zone, Paul.

Our strongest area of activity
is most definitely starting

at about 1.6 gigahertz.

Wow.

Look at that.

So that's interesting.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: It seems
like as we climb higher

into these more
privileged zones,

you see more of
these energy bursts.

Tell me again what's
a privilege zone?

So a privilege zone
is a zone that you

and I can't transmit on.

Oh, OK.

A normal civilian
or commercial entity

can't transmit
above 1.6 gigahertz.

It's reserved for government
use and for Earth-to-space and

space-to-Earth communication.

PAUL BEBAN: Here's
my question, though.

I mean, we're underground,
deep underground.

Shouldn't we be shielded?
- Yep.

Yeah.

Is this some kind of
effect of being in a cave?

I mean, or is it the energy
signature of the cave itself?

What is going on?

I don't understand that.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: The whole
reason we came to Mount Shasta

was because we got
reports of energy--

--originating here.

Well, my question
is, is it possible

that whatever energy anomaly
this may be that it's distorting

either our equipment or--

I mean, I'm
wondering, given what

we're seeing, if maybe our
equipment has some kind

of effect on the energy.

What happened in between?

I mean, it's not like
it's sound activated.

I mean, it's recording
the whole time.

Something weird is
going on in here,

the relationship between sound
and other forms of energy.

What if the cave is absorbing
the energy we put out there.

Wait, what?

I am very suspicious
right now that there could

be some kind of event
where the phenomenon

here is consuming energy.

So you're saying, even
though we can hear it,

the cave is somehow
drawing energy away

so the mic can't pick it up?

The story of Mount
Shasta is that this place

exudes positive energy and
that's what draws people here.

What I think Andy and I might
be sort of knocking on the door

with is the mountain
itself sucking

energy out of the environment.

I think that's something
we're going to have to dig

a little bit more deeply into.

There's something
here that speaks

to the truth of the stories,
your personal experiences,

the history of Mount Shasta.

This is a phenomenal place.

This is the
point where we hand

it off to the Skinwalker team.

right, gentlemen.

We've been anxious to
hear your findings.

What do you have for us?

PAUL BEBAN: Well, I think
Mount Shasta delivered--

- Yeah.
- --is the top line here.

This is going
to blow you away.

We had a really rich
mix of local expertise,

in terms of the
anecdotal evidence,

but also just the history
and geology of the area,

which is really complex.

I was working with the local
sheriff, Sheriff Jeremiah LaRue.

We invited Sheriff
LaRue to join

us on an evening experiment.

It's an area
called Bunny Flat.

And he said, look,
this is just a place

where people have, I
think in his words,

just seen a lot of weird stuff.

We had multiple UAP
sightings on both the UFODAP

and on our thermal camera.

All of that happened
after we played the tone.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: After we
triggered the 192-hertz tone.

Yeah, wow.
PAUL BEBAN: The skinwalker tone.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: The FLIR hits
that I'm about to show you now

were all captured in real time.

From the upper right
hand side of the screen,

you see these two orbs
that are heat signatures.

It looks like it either goes
behind the mountain or possibly

into the mountain.

They're only UAPs
right now because we

don't know what they are.
- Correct.

Right?

They could turn
out to be something

completely explainable.

I mean, we've got
the flight tracker

and the satellite
tracker running.

You're not seeing
satellites or airplanes.

But whatever that was
flying in the air,

it was as warm or at
least as reflective

to appear to be the
same color temperature.

So that's really interesting.

It makes me think it may have
been putting out its own light.

I'm glad we have
this instrument.

We didn't have this
instrument in our inventory

during the first phase
of our work together.

PAUL BEBAN: Right.

So this is really a
nice new piece of tech.

Now, what we found
in this area was

there's a cave network that
connects all the way up

to Mount Shasta itself.

Our goal was to try to look for
signs of energy, energy flows,

energy shifts, energy changes,
as well as any anomalies that

might be outside of the
visual range or outside

of our normal auditory range.

Good.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE: Here you
see a bird's eye view of just

our actual command center.

And what we wanted to do was we
wanted to set up a parabolic mic

so that we could try to
identify any unnatural sounds,

any sounds that were
potentially tied to some change

that we were putting
into the environment.

So we asked them to kill
all lights, everything.

We fell into darkness.

I like that you did that.

And during our parabolic
microphone experiment,

our parabolic mic was
working without picking up

ambient noise.

It would pick up sporadic noise.

But it didn't function
appropriately.

PAUL BEBAN: We cut
the external power.

Mic is still powered.

But the mic just cuts off.

And here's our full audio
file from the parabolic mic.

So as you can see, if it
was just a matter of a gate,

then we would have
picked up nothing.

But that's not, in
fact, what happened.

ANDY BUSTAMANTE (ON TAPE): I
feel like I can hear the blood

pumping through my heart.

So do we know if
anyone was speaking

during this silent period
that we're not hearing?

There was speech going
on and it just went dead?

I feel like I can hear the

PAUL BEBAN: I feel like

Wow, unreal.

It begs the question, what is
happening in this environment.

PAUL BEBAN: Exactly.
ANDY BUSTAMANTE: Yeah.

That's not natural.

Yeah, something is
causing it to stop

or the data is being removed.

Or something buried--

Or something else.

Something buried within that
area, much like what we believe

is buried here within the mesa.

Certainly.

But the most significant
of all the anomalies

that we saw electronically
was what I'm

pulling up for you right now.

We started specifically looking
at these suspect spectrum ranges

that we've seen before
in our investigations,

as well as what you've seen
here on Skinwalker Ranch,

that we know are reserved for
Earth-to-space transmissions and

space-to-Earth transmissions.

And that's where we lock
in here at 1.6 gigahertz.

That right there,
look at that.

That is a lot of energy
across the spectrum around 1.6

inside a cave.

I gotta tell you, I
can't, for the life of me,

figure out how you
get a microwave

signal down inside a cave.

Why are we getting 1.6 gigahertz
signals inside this cave

at Mount Shasta?

It makes no sense to me.

So you're saying that it
should be shielded from the--

I mean, just because of the
fact that we're underground.

Because you got
layers of earth.

Microwave signals don't
pass through dirt very well.

You know, about that much dirt
is all you need to block it.

Well, it speaks to some
type of advanced technology

that is being utilized
that we just don't have.

Yes.

This could very well be
evidence of some intelligence

that is monitoring
your activities

and leaving this type
of trace evidence.

I mean, I know this
is just speculation,

but you have hard data.

It's not a bad speculation.

It's difficult to refute.

When you're in that cave and
when we turned off the lights,

I mean, you are in a fully
sensory deprived environment.

Yes.

There's nothing.

And yet to find that, of
all things, was haunting.

It makes no sense, does it?

And other readings, other
strange things occurring.

Those are weird things
you found in a place

where there shouldn't have
been anything but darkness.

Yeah.

What we see here is
a definite correlation

to what we have experienced
here at Skinwalker Ranch.

It really begs the question.

What is it going on
beneath Mount Shasta?

Is there an underground base
or some unnatural source

that is creating the phenomena?

Well, it certainly begs
for a return analysis

and return measurements.

Well, Mount Shasta was
mysterious to me before.

Now, it's opened up a whole
new series of questions

that I think need
to be answered.

There is legitimacy to the lore.

Yeah, I feel like you haven't
just put a pin in the map,

you've really put a golden
spike in the map on this one.

Let's use this
as a springboard.

And I can't wait to see
what we dig up next.
