The Smallest Cog's

It's Land Rovers. That's the theme.

People are coming from
all over the country,

and we're all going on
a little cavalcade.

And then we'll meet up
at the workshop

with loads of other people
that have come along.

Lewis has put a lot of effort

after floodwater damage

I love everything about that car.

Obviously, the emotional attachment
to Paul, and it was my dream car.

This is not good. It's like
it's been washed up at sea.

for so long with water in it,

corrosion has taken place, and it's
broke off all the fuse holders.

So I've taken this one out
and replaced it.

And, er, I'm one step closer
to getting Debbie's car running

so she can go back out

to go back in time

to when Richard and I first met,

when he used to come down
to Tram Inn and

To be honest, we weren't really
talking about businesses back then.
We were talking about cars.

step away from it now and again
and try and live your life a bit

without the pressure
of running a business.

might actually get Richard here to
work on his E-Type. He'd like that.

There was a point when Neil and I
fired each other as I recall,

'cause I said, "I'm a terrible
manager and you're unmanageable."

Because neither of us
were gonna fit into those roles.

So Neil's found his place, his role.

He's playing to his strengths.

The workshop is actually
going well now, thanks,

if we're honest, in no small part
to my stepping away a bit

from day-to-day managing things.

But if we are gonna secure
the... the high-end, ultra-rare jobs

that I want to become a calling card

I need to go into
full ambassadorial role.

That's my job now. So I've been
looking for opportunities
and I think I've got one here.

Friends of mine, all ex-servicemen,
are involved in something amazing.

It's to raise money for the Special
Forces Club Benevolent Fund.

It's a charity thing.
But what they're doing

is recreating Lawrence
of Arabia's incredible trek.

In 1917, 41 of them rode 685 miles

on camels across the uncrossable
from Saudi to Aqaba in Jordan.

I have volunteered to go and help
for the last stretch

as part of the support team.
But that gets me to Jordan.

Now, the previous King of Jordan
was a massive petrolhead.

They knew him as
the petrolhead king.
He didn't just collect cars.

He did collect cars.
He also raced them, seriously.

And that ignited
a sort of growing passion

for classic cars in Jordan.

Well, I'm gonna be there,
helping the charity,

but I am an ambassador
for The Smallest Cog.

Put the two together, and if I can
turn what looks like a jolly,

albeit in aid of charity,
into a work trip, that's a win-win.

I've looked at a trimmers
and they want £15-20,000

re-trim this car, which is gonna

wipe the whole budget out
straightaway.

She needs brakes,
exhaust systems, electrics done.

We're not gonna be able
to do it for that. So, I've had
a little bit of a brainwave.

There's a place in Germany
that'll make the seat covers,

carpets, door cards -
it all comes as a kit.

I can get that
for around £3,000.

But we're gonna have to fit
the interior ourself.

Which we've never done.

I'm gonna order it, and then
I'm gonna get myself and Matt
to fit it.

It's a gamble,

but I think it'll pay off.
