[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

[Episode 13]

Xiangyi.

Do you think that

what you say is always right,

always the truth,

and Sigu Sect can't survive without you?

Yes.

It has been proven over the years

that all these are true.

Sigu Sect will run normally

regardless of who leaves.

But without Li Xiangyi,

it'll collapse.

Fine.

You've finally said it.

We grew up together since we were young.

When there was food, I couldn't bear to eat them,

and I gave all of them to you.

I also gave you the best sword I forged.

Deep down,

I value you

more than myself.

But what about you?

Since Sigu Sect only needs you,

I quit.

♫I tried♫

♫For a long time♫

♫But♫

♫There are still things I can't let go♫

♫I asked myself tens of thousands of times♫

♫Which moment♫

♫I'd never forget♫

Sect Leader. ♫I'd never forget♫

♫I'd never forget♫

♫The martial world♫

♫Is so big and fascinating♫

♫We're all wanderers in it♫

♫Clouds gather and break just like us♫

♫But at least we're under the same moon♫

♫The martial world♫

♫Is full of aspiring souls♫

♫Let's drink away all our sorrows♫

Senior.

♫Life is like a dream♫ Senior.

♫Life is like a dream♫

Senior. ♫Life is like a dream♫

Senior.

♫Our story ends here♫ Senior.

♫Our story ends here♫

Senior.

Senior!

Sect Leader.

We were ambushed by the Jinyuan Alliance.

Senior's dead body was snatched too.

It was a trick of luring the tiger out of the mountain.

Sigu Sect, listen to my order.

From today onwards,

we'll fight the Jinyuan Alliance

till death do us part.

Li Lianhua.

Why are you spacing out?

Since I exposed your nonsense,

you don't know how to quibble anymore, do you?

I can't hide anything from you.

Of course.

They are very close.

I'll spare your life today.

Don't spread rumours again.

It's time to go.

Fei knows my uncle.

He must know Li Xiangyi.

Fei is not familiar with Li Xiangyi.

You don't have to ask him.

I don't care about others,

but I must find out about Fei.

He is so bad at martial arts

but so arrogant.

There must be something fishy.

Come on.

Let's go to Baichuan Court together.

Why are we going to Baichuan Court?

Counting the murder cases in Cailian Manor,

I've already solved three major cases.

It's time to go to Baichuan Court

for the real detective badge.

If so, you will have Baichuan Court as your partner

when you become a detective.

Congratulations.

Same to you.

You used to be my partner,

and you'll also be the only one in the future.

How about this?

We'll imitate the Sigu Sect

to solve mysterious cases

and rectify the martial arts world.

Let's go.

So much money?

Li Lianhua,

did you strike gold

or get a fever?

You're leaving soon.

If you don't prepare well,

you may starve to death on the way.

Take it to buy some solid food.

No need?

Fine, if you don't need it, I can just...

It's a rare opportunity for misers like you to be generous.

I'll go buy food in town right away.

By the way,

keep an eye on Fei.

I'll investigate him when I come back.

I bought a lot of fresh vegetables.

Li Lianhua!

[To Mr. Worried]

"Fei and I have personal affairs to attend to.

We have to take our leave.

So I'm writing this letter to inform you.

I'm not leaving without saying goodbye."

You cunning old fox.

"I'm not an old fox,

and I'm not cunning at all.

This letter is to warn my friend

to stop sulking

and leave this place as soon as possible.

Otherwise, things will change."

There's no way I will buy that.

"You can surely buy that.

Please check it out behind the rock.

I've sent out a smoke signal.

Your aunt is coming to catch you.

Leave now."

Li Lianhua,

I hate you!

Hurry up.

Director Di,

you've emptied all the pharmacies nearby, right?

Let's begin.

To practice this technique,

you have to insert silver needles at certain anatomical points

and take herbal medicine to get the poison out of your body.

Director Di,

please meditate and circulate your qi.

I'll perform the acupuncture.

Li Xiangyi,

don't play tricks with me when it's related to martial arts.

It's been ten years since we saw each other,

and you've become more vigilant.

Don't worry.

I won't play any tricks.

It would be best.

I've told you

the mantra.

Circulate your inner breath for 49 days,

and the poison of the Xiuluo Grass will be detoxified.

Remember, it's 49 days.

Don't miss even a bit.

Do you hear me?

Director Di.

Do you hear me?

Director Di.

When should I leave

if not now?

My Lord ordered that

I must make Sect Leader Li stay.

Your Lord just said I can leave.

Oh no.

The poisonous grass has backfired on Your Lord.

Go quickly and have a look.

You have recovered just like that?

I didn't realize how quickly 49 days went by.

Where are you going?

We're even now.

So I'm leaving.

I promised not to expose your identity.

But do you think you can retire from the martial arts world

and die like a loser?

You're too naive.

Director Di,

why bother forcing me?

All I want is for you to live on

and fight with me again.

Greetings, My Lord.

Medicine Demon.

I want him to regain his inner power.

My Lord,

he is severely injured.

It's not easy to deal with.

Is it not easy,

or are you not competent enough?

No, no, no.

My Lord, if you want him to recover,

I'll try my best.

My Lord, please come with me.

Let's go.

Move.

My Lord,

Hundreds Herbs Syrup

is a treasure I have decocted

with hundreds of exotic herbs for over ten years.

Normally, a cup of it works.

But if you drink too much,

your meridians will overreact and cause unbearable pain.

Drink that.

Please.

With his injury,

one cup may not work.

Go on.

It's so bitter.

Well...

Feed him.

Yes, My Lord.

Please.

Thank you.

I'll do it myself.

My Lord,

this guy's qi has been disrupted.

His inner power is weak.

Well...

Even three cups are of no avail.

His inner power is weak?

I'll insert my inner power into his body

to stimulate the drug effect.

My Lord.

He will die if you do so.

I told you it's incurable.

It's such a waste of resources

for Director Di to get me all these treasures.

Think of another way.

Think of a way.

We can give it a shot at the Spiritual Snake Cave.

Spiritual Snake Cave?

My Lord,

these spiritual flood dragons in the Eastern Sea

have been fed with spiritual medicine for many years.

They like to suck people's qi and feed them again.

Now that this guy's qi is disrupted.

Let's have an exchange transfusion for him.

It might work.

Let's try then.

B-Bicha Poison?

My Lord.

He was poisoned by Bicha Poison.

Useless!

My Lord, please calm down.

If you want him to regain his inner power,

and fight him,

there's another way.

Say it.

Wangchuan Flower.

Wangchuan Flower?

It has the supreme yang.

It can help me break through the eighth level of the Windy Poplar.

But his inner power is not strong.

How can it cure him?

My Lord,

Wangchuan Flower has two different types, namely Yin and Yang.

The Yang grass is a kind of martial art, same as you.

While the Yin grass

is the most poisonous grass in the world.

Even if a child takes it,

they can gain more than ten years of martial skills.

But it's like the last radiance of the setting sun.

A few days later,

the Yin grass will start to have a strong effect,

and it will get stronger and stronger.

His meridians will break

and his organs will split.

There is no other way to die more terribly

than it in the world.

I don't want him to live a long life.

I just want him to live on until we fight again.

Let's go.

I want the Wangchuan Flower.

Yes, My Lord.

Why are you laughing?

Director Di,

stop wasting your time.

It's all for nothing.

So what if you get the Wangchuan Flower?

You can force me to eat it,

but you can't force me to fight with you.

By then, I'll lie in front of you

and wait for death under the sun,

seeing you anxious.

It's already interesting even if I just imagine the situation.

Lee Xiangyi.

Don't you want to know

how your senior, Shan Gudao,

died?

The three kings of the Jinyuan Alliance killed my senior.

Yet you want to deny it?

It's written clearly on the mortuary records of the Jinyuan Alliance.

Shan Gudao died because his left chest was stabbed.

Among the three kings, only the King Xunming of Yama used a sword as his weapon.

He made a mistake back then.

I punished him to bind his right hand for a month.

Even if he did attack your senior,

he should have used his left hand.

It's impossible for him to kill your senior with his right hand.

Ten years ago,

we declared a five-year truce.

After that, your senior was killed for no reason.

Then the war between Jinyuan Alliance

and Sigu Sect

started again.

In the end, both of us lost our power

and declined in the martial arts world.

But you and I were not the ones who benefited from it.

If you really want to avenge the death

of tens of Sigu Sect's warriors,

and avenge the death of your senior,

I can help you find out the hidden truth.

As long as you promise

to fight with me again.

Avenge?

If they really want to avenge themselves,

they should take revenge on Li Xiangyi.

Because he was arrogant,

and he killed everyone.

He deserved to die.

And he did die after that.

All the hatred

vanished with Li Xiangyi ten years ago.

Director Di,

Li Lianhua

won't fight with you.

I understand.

You are now a lost soul

although you're alive.

You won't be easily persuaded by me.

Okay.

I'll add some more bets.

If you don't promise me,

I'll kill Shan Gudao's son myself.

Director Di,

please stop joking.

My senior didn't even get married.

How could he have a son?

18 years ago, the Second Young Miss of the Tianji Hall, He Xiaolan,

was in a relationship with Shan Gudao.

This is her farewell letter to Shan Gudao.

[To Shan Gudao] This is her farewell letter to Shan Gudao.

[To Shan Gudao]

"I love you, who are in the martial arts world.

But you only love the scenery along the way

and refuse to stop your journey.

You live up to your name.

You're indeed a lonely sword.

Since it's hard to keep each other, we shouldn't persist anymore.

Let's say goodbye now

and cut off my love.

I hope you take good care of yourself.

Xiaolan."

Although they broke up,

they spared the life of their unborn child.

A few months later,

Tianji Hall announced that she died of illness.

But the Chief of the Tianji Hall,

He Xiaohui, who hasn't got pregnant for so many years,

and Minister of Revenue, Fang Zeshi,

had a son that year.

The child

is named Fang Duobing.

You are smart.

You should have known that

Fang Duobing is not Shan Gudao's nephew,

but his son.

Li Xiangyi,

if you don't promise me,

I'll let Shan Gudao's son,

who is his only child,

die in front of you.

[Yangquan Restaurant]

Manager. [Yangquan Restaurant]

Manager.

Sir.

Serve me the most expensive dishes and wine.

Okay, sir.

Waiter.

Take good care of him.

Li Lianhua.

I treat you as my friend,

but you took Fei, who is of dubious background, with you.

Who do you think I am?

Sir,

this is the best lotus banquet

in our restaurant.

Each dish is lotus-flower-themed.

It's fragrant and delicious.

Look at this dish.

"Lotus grows step by step."

This dish is called “Tongue-glittering Lotus”.

This dish is more delicious.

This is called "The Lotus Reflecting the Sun Shows Different Colours."

"The Lotus Reflecting the Sun Shows Different Colours."

Sir,

these plates are made of jade.

They're very pricey.

What are you yelling about?

How much can a few plates cost?

I'll compensate you.

Do you have money?

Look at you wearing such decent clothes.

How dare you dine and dash?

Why don't you ask around to find out more about

what my place is?

It's just a small amount of money.

Take it and get lost!

Get lost!

Li Lianhua, it's all your fault.

-Go as far as you can. -Exactly. What kind of person is he?

Li Lianhua

has no conscience at all.

Why didn't he give me more money?

Now I don't even have a place to stay.

And I have to live on air

and eat solid food on the roof.

[After investigation, no one from Nanhai Sect is called Fei]

No one from Nanhai Sect is called Fei. [After investigation, no one from Nanhai Sect is called Fei]

No one from Nanhai Sect is called Fei.

So,

he's lying to Li Lianhua.

Li Lianhua is in danger.

Whether he's dead or alive

is none of my business.

Excuse me.

Have you seen a man who looks detestable

and is talkative,

and he even brought a building with him creepily?

No, no.

Dude,

have you seen a building

carried by a carriage?

A building?

It seems to be over there.

Thank you.

Li Lianhua.

Fei.

Where is Li Lianhua?

Come with me.

What do you mean?

I've investigated it.

You are not from Nanhai Sect.

Who are you exactly?

Also,

where is Li Lianhua?

If you don't leave,

take out your sword.

What?

I said I would remember you

when we were in Cailian Manor.

Take out your sword.

I can't believe you've been hiding your martial arts.

You are a liar!

I'll teach you a lesson.

Being able to force me to step back,

you're talented.

If I give you another ten years,

you'll definitely be one of a kind.

Unfortunately...

Li Lianhua.

What's wrong with you?

Did Fei do it too?

It has nothing to do with you.

Go away quickly.

You're injured,

yet you came to save him.

You really care about him.

Come at me if you dare.

I indeed came for you.

That palm just now wasn't a killing move.

I've injected some Gang Qi into your body.

Li Lianhua.

If you don't want him to die,

I'll give you half a month to think about

whether to accept my request or not.

Fang Xiaobao.

How are you?

I'm fine.

It's just that my meridians are swelling.

Gang Qi of Di Feisheng is so powerful.

I can merely suppress it even with Yangzhouman.

It's not a long-term solution.

[Cailian Manor]

[Lotus Tower]

The Di family

only keeps killers,

not the fools.

Today, the two people who will fight to the death are...

Di Aman and Di Feisheng.

After today,

only one of you can live.

Only one of you can live.

If you want to let him live,

you'll die for him.

You must be Di Feisheng, right?

Anyone from the Di family

can never kill his master.

You'd better behave yourself and be my butcher.

Don't try to resist.

Your life

will never change.

Run away.

You will be

my slave forever.

Why?

Why was Master right?

Even if I took the Weeping Guanyin,

it could only restore my power

but I still couldn't break through

the eighth level of the Windy Poplar.

Can't I take revenge on

the Di family in this life?

My Lord, are you in a bad mood?

You trespassed my training court.

What is it?

My Lord,

I have good news for you.

Aren't you looking for the King Xunming of Yama

and the Four-faced Qingzun?

I sent someone to find some parts

of the map of Prison 188.

The whereabouts of King Xunming of Yama are included.

My Lord, I am so loyal to you,

please spare me this time.

Are you really that loyal?

Then tell me

why Li Xiangyi got poisoned by Bicha Poison.

How did you...

It doesn't matter how I know about it.

What matters is that in the past ten years,

you made me feel that I won the battle at the East Sea.

What matters is that in the past ten years,

you made me become an ignorant person.

Li Xiangyi deserved to die.

In this life,

I hope only My Lord ranks first in the martial arts world.

How do I need to use poison to dominate the world?

I wanted to get rid of Li Xiangyi secretly

to solve your problem.

But Li Xiangyi was so ignorant

that he came to steal your thunder.

I know I was wrong.

I've been waiting for you in the Jinyuan Alliance for ten years.

Finally, My Lord is back.

Please punish me.

I'll accept it.

I'm willing to accept the punishment.

Don't think you can do whatever you want

with ten years of hard work.

I don't care

whether Jinyuan Alliance survives or not.

From now on,

you don't have to investigate the thundering fire bombs anymore.

I have assigned Wuyan to investigate it.

If I find out that it's related to you,

I'll kill you.

Fang Duobing!

Are you abandoned again?

Are you hungry?

Dig in.

Eat.

Eat slowly.

What were you mumbling about?

I'm hungry.

Eat slowly.

Don't get choked.

I'm not eating.

You eat.

Why are you staring at me?

It's nothing.

Aren't you more like your mother?

What kind of nonsense is that?

Our butler said

I resemble my second aunt the most.

But when I was born,

my second aunt had already died.

You didn't see your uncles many times.

When you were young,

did he dote on you much?

My uncle is the second master of the Sigu Sect.

He was usually very busy.

He didn't have time for me.

Besides, my mother seemed to hate him very much.

She didn't allow me to get close to him.

Why do you suddenly ask about my family matter?

It's nothing.

I was just asking.

Eat your buns.

Then let me ask you.

You have to answer me honestly.

Who is Fei exactly?

Why is he so skilful in martial arts?

Since we are now at this point,

I won't hide it from you anymore.

He's Di Feisheng.

D-Di Feisheng?

The devil of the Jinyuan Alliance, Di Feisheng?

Well...

Do you know my master

is unaccounted for ten years because of him?

How can you hang out with such a devil?

He asked me to promise him to save someone.

Save someone?

You can lie with your medical skills,

but you can't save lives with it.

There are people in this world

who can only be saved by me.

Unfortunately,

I don't want to save them.

So you left me behind

because you were afraid Di Feisheng would deal with me,

but it turned out that you were caught

and got hurt all over your body.

Li Lianhua,

I won't accept your kindness for that.

We agreed that friends should share weal and woe.

Even if the opponent is Di Feisheng.

Young Hero Fang,

I know you're good.

It's my fault this time.

Thank you.

At least you have a conscience.

By the way,

don't promise Di Feisheng

to save the person he mentioned.

The person he wants to save

is definitely not a good person.

He is indeed not a good person.

I won't save him.

It's more important to save you now.

Di Feisheng has inserted Gang Qi

into your body.

It'll be troublesome.

It doesn't matter.

I'm talented.

I felt a little uncomfortable just now.

Look now.

I'm fine.

I don't have much inner power left.

I almost can't deploy my power to suppress the Gang Qi.

But if Gang Qi reaches his temple,

he will surely die.

This is the only way.

You're awake.

Get up and have some warm water.

Why did I faint again?

You've been inserted Gang Qi.

You fainted all of a sudden.

I didn't expect that you are so heavy

that I was exhausted

to carry you back to the Lotus Tower.

Practice the skill set according to the papers I put on the table.

Practice it properly.

What is this?

A draft?

A draft?

This is an ancestral skill.

Previously,

the Gang Qi inside your body

was suppressed by it.

Study hard.

Don't bother me anymore.

It's ancestral?

The ink is not dry yet.

Did you draw it just now?

The ancestral martial arts

must be passed down by word of mouth.

So I drew it for you

to make you understand

and learn well.

Understand?

I can't simply practice any martial arts for no reason.

If it can't cure the Gang Qi,

and I'm obsessed because of it,

it's not worth it.

I won't practice it.

No.

Do you know why Di Feisheng

wanted me to save lives?

It's because of this skill set.

If you don't trust me,

or you doubt me, it's fine.

But Di Feisheng's judgment

can't be wrong.

You don't want it?

Fine, if you don't want it, give it to me.

Give it to me.

Listen, Fang Xiaobao,

how can you be a detective?

You're such a fool,

an idiot.

How can you be a detective?

Can't you think about

why Di Feisheng

used you to threaten me to save others?

If the Gang Qi in your body is getting more serious,

you'll fall into his trap

because you have to listen to him.

What should you do then?

That devil keeps killing people

and keeps doing evil.

Don't you feel guilty?

-Do you want to practice it or not? -Fine.

I will practice it.

You're talking too much.

I won't let the devil succeed.

Remember.

If I

go crazy,

foam at the mouth

and dance uncontrollably after practising it,

do remember to find me a physician from the town.

Don't worry.

I'll get you any expensive medicine if you need it.

Practice hard.

Fine.

After all, you've called Li Xiangyi

your master for so many years.

I'll pass this Yangzhouman to you.

It's a way to repay his promise to you.

What are you doing?

Are you sleepwalking at night?

Li Lianhua,

where did you get that skill set?

Didn't I tell you?

It's ancestral.

Impossible.

The skill set is profound and mysterious.

It's very useful.

Even Tianji Hall's Mind-reading Skills

can't compare to it.

If it's really ancestral,

there must have been many high-skilled warriors coming from your family.

Tell me.

Where did you get it?

Let go of me!

No manners.

Fine.

One year, I went to the mountain to collect herbs.

Unfortunately, I fell off the cliff.

Suddenly, in front of a cave,

a fairy godmother appeared.

She asked me to kowtow thrice to her

and passed me the set of skills.

After thinking about it,

I realised that was a legendary immortal fate.

Bah!

How can there be like the pie in the sky?

Didn't I tell you?

It's all fate.

Tell me

what the name of the skill set is.

That's amazing.

It's almost the same as Yangzhouman.

It's Suzhoukuai.

I'm not buying that.

You know what?

You asked me to tell you, but you don't believe me after I told you.

Then explain to me

why I, a physician who sells plasters,

can get the ultimate skill set.

If I were born good at martial arts,

I would have become a hero.

Unfortunately,

we have different fates.

I can only be a wandering physician.

Unlike someone,

who's going to be a master soon.

All right.

I owe you this time.

It's okay if you don't know martial arts.

It's the same if I can.

After we get out of here, I'll take care of you

and protect you.

No matter what happens, just mention my name.

Most importantly,

I kowtowed three times

to get the skill set.

So you also have to kowtow thrice to me

so that I can feel better.

Dream on.

Except for my parents,

I'll only kowtow to my master, Li Xiangyi.

Who are you?

Your Suzhoukuai

is definitely not as good as my master's Yangzhouman.

Take your time.

Li Lianhua,

why don't you tell me more

about my master?

You said too little last time.

I haven't heard enough yet.

Don't you feel hot

and chest tightness?

No.

The crucial part of Suzhoukuai is silence.

Most importantly, talk less

and be quiet.

When you talk, you'll spend your energy and cause blood flow.

It'll boom like a firecracker.

It's up to you.
