Story of Yanxi Palace Episode 24

In this world, there are no forever enemies.

As long as you're willing to invest...

Wrong, as long as you're willing to earnestly ask forgiveness,

everything can be resolved amicably.

Right, Lord Wei?

Yes... What Prince said is right.

Let's go. I'll take you to the Imperial Household Department now.

From now on, no one would dare bully your Wei family.

Thank you, Prince.

I will take my leave.

Yingluo.

- Yingluo!- Fuheng! Stop right there.

Who gave you the permission to do this?

Sister, you also can see how His Majesty

is biased and trusting towards Hongzhou.

If Yingluo insists on seeking revenge,

what would be her ending?

Now that she's willing to put down her grudge,

isn't that to everyone's delight and satisfaction?

Despicably using her

is not an act of a gentleman.

I only want her safe!

Even if she hates or blames me, I must ensure that she's safe.

Mingyu, I have something to tell you.

Don't think that after working together twice last time, we're now equal.

Let me tell you that I still don't like you.

Yes.

Today, it's my turn to watch over the plant nursery.

But since last night, my head has been aching.

I need to go to the pharmacy to get some medicines. Please keep watch of it for today.

I'll change shift with you tomorrow. Okay?

You also have a day that you'll ask for help?

If you don't agree, I'll look for Zhenzhu then.

I didn't say that I won't. Why are you like this?

Can't you say a few nice words to beg me?

Mingyu, I beg you.

Help me with this favor. Okay?

Sure. I'll be magnanimous and help you this time.

Thanks.

Mingyu.

Have you seen Yingluo?

She has do something and went out. I'm watering the plants for her.

What to do? Her Highness ordered me to find her.

If Her Highness needs something, it's the same to let me do it.

How could your work be compared to Yingluo?

Why not? I may not be inferior to her.

Moreover, I've served Her Highness for so many years.

I'm more experienced than her.

Yingluo has sharp eyes, fast hands, and very meticulous.

She always do things so perfectly and able to win the liking of Her Highness.

Not only you, even I can't compare to her now.

I feel annoyed hearing such words.

What are you doing?

Didn't you say that I'm inferior to her? Why don't I just do nothing?

Look at your temper.

Her Highness would be saying again how your personality can't compare to Yingluo.

Yingluo... Why do you kept talking about her every day?!

I don't want to hear it anymore.

Miss Yingluo.

Does Her Highness Empress have any instructions?

No. I came to look for Doctor Ye.

Every imperial physician here in the Imperial Pharmacy

have served the Imperial Medical Academy for 6 years.

In between we even have to pass 3 kinds of examinations before we can enter the palace to be on duty.

Even if I just casually find some imperial physician here, he surely will be better than that Ye Tianshi a hundred times.

He's just a commoner traveling doctor who encountered great luck.

Miss YIngluo, why do you believe him?

Imperial physician, you've misunderstood it.

It's because I've lent him two taels of silver while I was still in Yangxin Palace.

I especially came today to ask for them.

You came to ask for debt payment?

That man indeed look impoverished.

Where is he now?

Imperial Physician Wang, quickly go to Shou-an Palace.

Imperial Consort Dowager Guo is having difficulty breathing. She might not last long.

Even Medical Investigator Zhang couldn't do anything, what else can I do?

You must still look at her first. Let's go.

You...

Imperial Consort Dowager Guo?

She is First Class Attendant that the former emperor left behind. She's already gravely ill since winter.

She has been suffering since and a coffin has already been prepared for her.

Aren't you looking for someone? Doctor Ye is in the backyard.

Bask to death!

Doctor Ye!

Miss Yingluo.

How come you look so sad?

How can I not be sad?

I'm now a hero without any place to use my skills. A distinguished doctor like me...

Look! Everyday, there are no patients at all!

It's always those imperial physician in front ganging up on me.

Saying about me lacking experience.

Always asking me to dry medicines here.

If I've known it will be like this,

I shouldn't have entered the palace as decreed.

Doctor Ye, why be mad?

His Majesty has just recovered not long ago.

I'm sure that he'll be asking you to go to Yangxin Palace to check his pulse very soon.

What you mean is...I should go complain them.

No... I dare not.

What if His Majesty gets very mad? I'll lose my head.

Why complain?

By then, you just need to ask His Majesty to allow you to leave.

Also, you must cry very hard.

Cry?

Let His Majesty know that you can't bear to leave him.

You're just being pressured by other people such that you can't stay here anymore.

As for what specific grievance, don't mention one word.

If His Majesty wants to know, he'll have a way to know.

Right!

Miss Yingluo, this brain of yours can really move very quickly.

You probably have made a lot of anonymous complaint.

Back to the main topic,

Doctor Ye, I recently kept having headaches.

I'm unable to sleep at night.

Do you have any medication to treat insomnia?

- Let me check your pulse.- No need! No need!

My headache is already an old ailment.

I came just to ask if there is a medicine

that can make a person immediately sleep

after taking it.

If you really couldn't sleep...

I have a way.

This is the medicine you need.

What is this?

These are the leaves of mandara.

Usually, I use this to make anesthetics.

Once you use this, I ensure you that you'll have a good sleep.

But, you can only use a little. You mustn't overdose.

Also, this method won't cure the root cause.

Let me prescribe you a nourishing medicine.

Take one every day until one month

and you'll see the effect.

Thank you, Doctor Ye.

No need for thanks. I so want if all of you can get sick.

Hongzhou is also not young anymore.

How come he's still like a child?

I heard that a few days ago,

he played a joke on his uncles and brothers again.

That's right. Since he was little, this child kept causing trouble

upon waking up.

If not because His Majesty and Empress Dowager kept taking care of everything,

he might just get suddenly slipped into a sack while walking in the streets.

Your personality is too gentle and quiet.

You only eat vegetarian food and pray to Buddha all day.

It's rare for you to step out of Shoukang Palace.

How come you gave birth to such a wild child?

Tormenting everyone all day.

These past two days, His Majesty also had the intention to teach him a lesson

and detained him in Yangxin Palace.

As his mother, I really hope that His Majesty won't be lenient.

It's good if he can give him a beating.

Let him know the severity of his actions.

- You can bear to?- Of course, I can.

As long as it's good for him, I can bear to.

If a jade isn't carved, it can't become a useful ware.

I'll immediately send someone to Yangxin Palace now.

Tell His Majesty to use a whip and give him a good beating.

Maybe, after suffering some external torture, he'll behave.

- Servant.- I am here.- Empress Dowager. I...

What's wrong?

Still can't bear to, right?

Empress Dowager, you're still making fun of me?

Royal Brother, I've already lost eight games.

When will you let me leave the palace?

Once you leave the palace, you're going to cause trouble again.

I won't. I really won't.

Moreover, either you ask me to listen to the Grand Minister of State states his report,

restrain me to practice writing, or play chess with you.

You're making me go crazy.

I'm exactly testing your patience.

Royal Brother, I'm not fit for this kind of work.

Hey! Hey! I made the wrong move!

In the past, Royal Father has said...

He said that I have no learning skills and is too naughty.

You plan to live your days like this forever?

You're my only adult biological brother left.

I'm still hoping that you can help unburden me about state affairs.

This...the words of Royal Father are like gold.

I living my days carefree like this is just following his decree.

Royal Brother, you mustn't request everyone to be like you,

having skills of a naturally-born emperor.

Leave...

Thank you for your special pardon. I'm taking my leave.

Don't forget to submit that water management strategy tomorrow.

I still have to come back?

Come. You have to come here everyday.

I will abide.

Fifth Prince.

Hailancha, I just got rid of Royal Brother.

I still haven't relaxed that long, so why are you following me now?

That female ghost that night...

Resolved.

You caught the female ghost?

Let me tell you that not only is she not a female ghost,

she's even quite a beauty.

Hey! Sister-in-law!

Prince He of the First Rank, stop making fun of me.

Why would I do that?

You are indeed my sister-in-law.

So you indeed have acknowledged this marriage?

I do. Why wouldn't I?

His Majesty has been detaining me everyday to shape up. The two of us--

Hey! I haven't done talking? Why are you leaving?

Prince, don't you need to enter the palace everyday?

If you want to talk, we have a lot of chance.

Fifth Prince. Fifth Prince.

Beautiful.

She's more beautiful than her sister.

What are you saying?

I must warn you that you mustn't touch the woman.

She's just a palace maid. Why can't I touch her?

Do you believe that if tomorrow, I ask His Majesty about her, he'll just gift her to me.

Fuheng places her in the tip of his heart.

Let me see if she'll like Fuheng or me, a prince of the first rank.

You... Fifth Prince, if you do things like this, that's being so unkind.

Don't worry. Fuheng and I have been friends for a long time.

I won't develop some rude intentions.

Just want to cherish beauties.

Look. I'm just going to look.

You've been pacing for 2 hours.

What really do you want to do?

Fuheng, I must tell you something.

Tell me what?

Forget it. Just treat it like I haven't said anything.

Fine, I'll just tell you.

Fifth Prince wants to dig the corner of your wall.

Corner of my wall?

Woman. That woman you like the most. Understand?

What do you mean?

It's exactly as what I said.

I think that Hongzhou is having some evil thoughts.

You better keep watch of her.

Yingluo, what are you doing?

I'm unable to sleep. I'm making a medicated pillow.

Imperial Guard Fuca asks that you go out for he has something to tell you.

- Tell him that I'm busy.- Okay.

Imperial Guard Fuca, Yingluo said that she's busy.

Didn't Empress teach her the "The Analects"?

Ask her if she knows

"The superior man does not promote a man simply on account of his words, nor does he put aside good words because of the man."

Even if she firmly believes that I'm an evil person, he should still let me explain.

Yingluo, Imperial Guard Fuca said,

"The superior man does not promote a man simply on account of his words, nor does he...

You can hear it.

Tell him that I only learned

People who likes to make flowery speech and pretending to be amiable are usually less kind.

A person who likes to make flowery speech and betrays others,

I will never believe him again!

Imperial Guard Fuca, did you hear it?

- Tell her—- Jeez!

You two can hear each other's words.

Why still let me be a messenger?

I won't bother with you two anymore.

Yingluo.

Yingluo, I hope that before you do anything,

you must think about it carefully first.

Hongzhou isn't as simple as you think.

You must be careful.

Imperial Consort Dowager has a strong personality.

She usually isn't harmonious with the other imperial consort dowagers.

Now, she just left like that.

She didn't even have anyone sending her off.

So pitiful.

- Erqing.- Here.

Help prepare a funeral gift and send it there

to express my condolences.

I will go now.

Your Highness Empress, Erqing is so busy. Let me go instead.

Have you ever been to Shouan Palace?

Before, I once delivered spring clothes there.

I won't get lost.

Since that's the case, you go then.

Yes.

Prince, where are you going?

We must rush to go out of the palace before the curfew.

None of your business.

- Remove your clothes.- This...

Take my waist badge and exit as usual.

Prince, you mustn't.

If you dare leak this out, I'll have your life.

Hurry... Remove your clothes.

What are you doing?

Prince He of the First Rank?

I...

I came to deliver Imperial Consort Dowager Guo some money.

Oh...Shouan Palace is outside the forest.

Why did you enter the forest instead?

Oh, I know already.

You are making an offering to your older sister?

Prince! I...

I know that it's forbidden to make offerings in the palace.

But Prince, you plan to accept sister into your manor.

That is a huge matter after all.

I must tell her about it, right?

You know that it's forbidden to make offerings to the dead here in the palace.

You still sneakily come here.

Aren't you deliberately breaking a rule that you know of?

- I...- Come with me to Empress.

Let me see how long she'll keep on harboring you.

Prince! Prince!

You already said that I'm your sister-in-law.

Since we're one family, why must you do this?

Since you know we're one family,

shouldn't you attend to me in place of your sister?

Prince. You mustn't joke around with such thing.

I'm not joking with you.

If you won't agree,

I can only expose this matter.

Let me think about it.

At least...

I should ask my sister first.

Okay. I'll wait for you here.

Think about it well.

Sister...

I especially came here today to visit you,

because I want to tell you a very important thing.

Prince He of the First Rank...

...has already felt extreme remorse...

...for what happened before.

He promised to accept you into his manor.

And even will transfer your tomb.

How come you don't have ingots and paper money when you make offerings to the dead?

Sister...

I miss you so much.

- What scent is that?- SIster!

Sister...

I know that you will never forgive.

Today, I will let you personally see

how I will punish this perpetrator today.

You deliberately lured me to here. And that fire...

You did this intentionally!

Wei Yingning, this person for you

might just be a palace maid you raped because you were drunk.

But she...is the most important person for me

in this world!

My mother died giving birth to me.

It was my sister

who took care of me like a mother.

She's my everything!

Sister...

...went into the palace at age 15.

I'd wait for her, look forward for her return

outside the Gate of Divine Might everyday.

Nine years.

I waited for a whole 9 years!

I finally was able to wait for it.

My sister will be coming home soon.

But because of you...

...because of you having a moment of absurdity...

...my sister is dead.

My sister is dead!

She's dead!

What's most funny is...

...a murderer like you...

You...

...should have been cut into pieces.

But...because you're an imperial relative,

you've repeatedly escaped punishment!

You actually were still immensely pleased with yourself

in saying that you're going to accept my sister into your manor.

Just you?

Are you even qualified?!

Hongzhou!

Help!

Help!

Help! Help!

Help! Help!

Help!

What sound is that?

Quickly go look.

Help!

Help! Help!

Help! Help!

Someone wants to kill me!

- What's going on?- Save me!

- Prince.- Someone wants to kill me!

Save me!

Help! Someone wants to kill me!

- Let's quickly go look.- Help!

Help!

Your Majesty!

Save me! Prince He of the First Rank has gone crazy!

Royal Brother! She wants to kill me!

He...

Earlier, he disguised himself and sneaked into the inner palace.

He even stalked me with evil intentions.

He got discovered by me and wanted to silence me!

Don't listen to her rubbish, Your Majesty!

It was her who lured me to go there.

She wants to kill me!

She even drugged me. She wants to kill me!

The palace gates are now locked.

As a prince of the first rank,

why are you wearing eunuch clothes and still stayed here in the palace?

Your Majesty... It's not like what she said.

It's her. She's trying to frame me.

You were harboring evil intentions to begin with.

After getting discovered by me,

you actually would come up with such huge lies!

Think about it.

How could a weak woman like me

scheme to deceive a prince of the first rank to come here?

All these are too absurd!

You bitch!

Shut up!

Your Majesty, you must not believe her!

She talks cleverly and in an ingratiating manner. She's heartless and will just suddenly turn hostile against you!

You mustn't believe her!

Your Majesty, save me!

Your Majesty, save me!

Save me!

Beast!

How could you believe her?

I'm your biological brother!

How could you believe this woman and not me?!

Men! Detain him in Yangxin Palace!

How could you not believe me?!

Why won't you believe me?! Why?!

Keep up with us.

Miss Yingluo, quickly cover yourself.

Your Highness, Prince He of the FIrst Rank is in trouble.

Say it.

Why are you not in Changchun Palace at this time?

Imperial Consort Dowager Guo has died.

Her Highness Empress pitied her, so she ordered me

to deliver her some money for the dead.

Midway, I bumped into Prince He of the First Rank. He attempted to rape me.

Are everything you're saying true?

Qing Empire has a rule

that all imperial relatives committing a crime must be decided upon by the emperor.

During the time of Emperor Yongzheng, there was an imperial relative

who just casually kidnapped and raped a beautiful lady.

When the matter got exposed, he just got fined and the case is closed.

Then it means, if Prince He of the First Rank liked a palace maid,

even if he disguising himself and trespassing into the prohibited area of the palace at night

will bring shame to the imperial family, as long as Your Majesty doesn't investigate it further,

- he surely will stay safe and sound.- Are you still not shutting up?!

Your Highness Empress, you can't just barge in...

Your Majesty.

Yingluo doesn't know how to write and has limited education.

She doesn't mean to anger you with her words.

It's just that she might have used the wrong words.

Empress, did you especially come to defend her?

Your Majesty, I believe in the words she said.

You trust her that much?

I...

...can guarantee it with my life.

Yingluo didn't lie.

It must be Hongzhou

who did an unforgivable thing.

- Your Highness Empress!- You have no speaking rights here.

Your Majesty, I don't have the right to interfere

on how you will deal with Prince He of the First Rank.

But Wei Yingluo is my servant.

She's my trusted aide.

If she did something wrong, I surely will severely punish her.

But if...

...anyone bullied her,

I will also not sit by and watch.

She's involved in this case.

No, Your Majesty. She's a witness.

I must take her away unscathed.

Take her away with you.

Thank you for your kindness.

Your Majesty, Grand Consort Yi is here.

Speak. What mistake did you commit again?

Mother, I didn't. I'm being falsely accused.

You...

Your Majesty.

Li Yu.

I'm here.

Inform Grand Consort Yi.

I will abide.

Grand Consort Yi, Prince Lu drank a lot this evening

and rushed into the imperial palace and committed a disrespectful crime.

Your Majesty. He...

really did something like this?

Mother, I didn't.

It was her. That slut framed me.

Shut up!

Bailing.

Mother.

Did I tell you to err? You are so clueless.

Did I tell you to disappoint His Majesty? Empress Dowager trusted you a lot.

You broke my heart. I'm going to beat you.

I'm going to beat you to death.

Mother.

I'm didn't do it. I'm being falsely accused.

Falsely accused? Why aren't others being falsely accused?

Why are you the only one?

Isn't it because your actions are usually so outrageous? That's why you fell into this state?

His Majesty misses his brother and didn't punish you.

As a mother, if I don't punish you, I will be spoiling you.

I don't even know what kind of mistakes you will commit again in the future.

- I'm beating you. - Don't.

Stop beating me.

Enough.

Your Majesty, Hongzhuo did such rebellious act.

I didn't teach him properly. I have wronged Your Majesty.

I have wronged the Empress Dowager.

Your Majesty, please punish Hongzhuo and convict me too.

As a mother, let me pay for his sin too.

Let me make up for his sin too.

I'm begging you, Your Majesty.

Grand Consort Yi, Hongzhuo committed the sin. What has it to do with you?

- Li Yu. - Here.

Escort Grand Consort Yi back to Shoukang Palace first.

I will abide.

Your Majesty.

Go back.

Hongzhuo!

Your Highness, I'm guilty.

Even if you don't talk about what happened today,

I also know very well that

Prince Lu injured someone. As a descendant of the royal family,

he escaped punishment.

He is unrepentant, threatens and bribes and forces for forgiveness.

But a forced sell isn't a sell.

Based on your personality, how could you tolerate his savage behavior again?

But Yingluo, how could you do something like this?

Your Highness, you distinctly know that I'm guilty

and you still protected me.

I'm unable to pay you back for your kindness

but I have repeatedly committed mistake.

I have already implicated you. If next time...

There's still a next time?

You are still not giving up?

His Majesty dotes on Hongzhou.

Do you know that? He beat up a Military Minister

and publicly made fun of the clan. His Majesty could even turn a blind eye.

If I didn't arrive in time just now,

in order to protect Hongzhuo, he could have killed you to vent out his resentment.

- Your Highness. - Yingluo.

I'm warning you.

You are not allowed to take actions on Hongzhuo again.

Did you hear me?

Wei Yingluo, I'm ordering you!

You are not allowed to act in an arbitrary and reckless manner again

and harm Prince Lu. Did you hear me?

I will follow your order.

What medicine is this? Are you trying to poison me to death?

Prince, please spare my life. The Imperial Physician said you were drunk, exposed to the wind

and suffered from whippings too. That's why you fell sick.

You should dissipate the evil outwards with drinking internally to cool the heat.

I already said that I didn't drink.

I didn't drink. I wasn't drunk. I didn't!

You can leave first.

- Leave. - Yes.

When I recover from my illness, I will kill that slut.

- Are you crazy? - Don't you even know that you have done?

If you didn't harm anyone, why would Yingluo want to kill you?

Fuheng, we have known each other for many years.

You are treating me this way because of a slut?

Who exactly is the cheap person?

Me...I'm the lowlife. Release me.

I can't breathe.

I know you didn't kill anyone

but you won't get away with this.

I'm warning you.

Stop harassing Yingluo.

Are you kidding?

She is a vicious and crazy woman.

You can like anyone, but you like her?

I don't want to repeat myself. Remember this.

In the future, when you see Wei Yingluo, please turn around and leave immediately.

Or else, every time when I see you, I will beat you.

I'm letting you live this time. Treasure this well.

Men, I'm hurting all over.

Prince.

Men, call for the Imperial Physician now.

Empress Dowager.

Hongzhuo caught a cold

and is sick.

His Majesty sent two Imperial Physicians to attend to him.

Why are you still here chanting the scriptures?

Hongzhou committed a grave mistake. I fear that his life span would be reduced.

Thus, I'm chanting the scriptures to make up for his sin.

You usually don't even go to the garden

for fear of stepping on an ant.

You are such a kind person.

How could you have such a stubborn and disobedient child?

If His Majesty didn't suppress it,

I wonder how much this matter would have blown up.
