Choi Kang Ta, that bastard's business which he's been preparing for a long time,

I will destroy it completely.

Final Episode

Boss,

only the last announcement is left now.

Everyone, calm down. Please sit down.

Please sit down. Please sit down.

The X City Marine Tourism Resort business will be given to...

Rainbow Corporation Korea.

Congratulations!

Thank you. Thank you everyone.

Chairman Jang, did you plan to just hand over the X City project to President Manson?

That jerk.

Hey! What happened, Chairman Jang?

Didn't you say that the probability of success was 100%?

I was certain. It looks like someone stole that contract.

You idiot! How could you let the information leak?

- You were tricked again? - No! Not this time!

It must be you! It was you who leaked it out!

Are you going to blame it on me now?

Up till now, who's the one that said we'd get the license for sure?

Who's the one to blame for all this?

This is all because you plotted against Choi Kang Ta!

You always pretend to be smart, yet you were tricked by Choi Kang Ta!

This is all you and your son Woo Hyun's fault!

What about the fact that your daughter sided with Choi Kang Ta?

How dare you say she sided with him?

Stop taking pictures!

Father, stop embarrassing yourself!

We're done. We're going to be broke.

Because of this swindler, we are going to become beggars!

The fact that I was a friend to an ignorant fool like you my whole life,

makes me feel ashamed!

What did you say? Take care of your own son!

You swindler! You even pretended to be paralyzed!

You foolish ingrate!

Who protected you this whole time?

You unfaithful ingrate!

Boss, congratulations.

The enemies are now attacking each other.

You have achieved your revenge goal.

Are you worried about Jang Mi?

Jang Mi,

will live forever carrying the burden of betraying her own father.

She stopped her father's evil doing.

It was a brave move for her father and for Boss.

Chairman Jang, Chairman Hwang, please say something.

Is it true you were going to hand the business over to another country?

- Father, are you okay? - Do I look like I am okay?

That Manson or whatever his name is... that contract...

- How did the other side get it? - I know, Father. That...

We secured it in the safe, but how did it end up in their hands?

- This is very strange. - Hey,

who else knows the password to the safe?

Of course only you and I know.

I made Jang Mi's birthday the password for the safe.

Then maybe it's Jang Mi... That brat...

Father, no matter how stupid she can be, why would she do something like that...

...unless she gave it to Michael. Hopefully not, right?

This girl... I'm going to call her.

If it's not you or me, then only Jang Mi is left.

She's not picking up.

- Then call someone at home! - Yes.

Miss.

Miss Jang Mi.

Miss.

Miss?

Miss Jang Mi!

Wake up, Miss!

What? Jang Mi overdosed on pills?

What did you say? What do you mean Jang Mi took pills?

Father, Jang Mi took pills.

She wants to die. She's unconscious right now.

Hey! Take her to the hospital quickly!

Hurry to the hospital! Alright!

Jang Mi, she... actually took pills.

Hey, go to the hospital... hospital!

Hurry, hurry!

Hey, Director Kim! Jang Mi, where is my Jang Mi?

She's in the emergency room.

She is still unconscious.

Oh, I can't believe this girl...

Director Kim, you punk.

What were you doing when Jang Mi was taking pills?

I am truly sorry.

Oh, Chairman. This...

This letter was in Miss Jang Mi's room.

Father, I am sorry.

Why did I have to fall in love with someone who hates you?

I'm leaving after causing you so much pain. I'm sorry.

No matter what people say, I still love you.

Father, goodbye.

Jang Mi!

All because of this so-called love?

Killing yourself just because of this love?

Father, come on. Jang Mi isn't dead yet.

True, my Jang Mi will wake up.

For the sake of her father, she will definitely wake up.

Jang Mi, you must wake up!

I came as quickly as possible after hearing it from Hye Jung's grandfather.

Congratulations on winning the bid for the X City business.

I just wanted to stop those corrupt men from

getting their hands on the country's business.

Hwang Lim Group and Yong Bi Group will go bankrupt because of this.

Isn't your revenge complete now?

Boss.

Johnny.

Miss Jang Mi has attempted suicide.

What?

After she gave you the contract, she took pills.

- What is her condition now? - She's unconscious.

After the X City business license was given to Rainbow Corporation Korea,

Chairman Hwang Dal Soo and Chairman Jang Yong's plan

to transfer the contract to America was discovered.

It shocked everyone...

Because of you, the company's stocks have gone down the drain! We're bankrupt!

Since you are the Chairman, you take responsibility!

And you call yourself a General?

What are you doing?

Get out immediately!

Get out right now!

Go home now,

and rest, Father.

Until I see that bastard die,

I will not sleep.

- Yes? - Seo Mi Soo is heading toward your place now.

They found out that you altered President Jang Ho's fingerprints.

Escape quickly.

I understand.

What happened?

Seo Mi Soo is coming.

Seo Mi Soo?

They found out that I altered the fingerprints in Minister Lee's case.

What about Seo Tae Jin's case?

They have targeted me as the suspect.

Quickly go and hide.

Think of a way to escape the country.

Whether it is sneaking out or making a false passport,

just hurry up, Woo Hyun.

- Father. - There's no time.

I can't do that.

- Woo Hyun! - Father, I promised you...

I would kill Choi Kang Ta with my own hands.

Until then, I can't go anywhere.

I will contact you, Father.

Chairman Hwang Dal Soo.

Can't you see the stars on my uniform?

Greet me like you would a General.

Cut the bullshit. Where is Hwang Woo Hyun?

Bullshit?

Did you just say that I talked bullshit?

Hwang Dal Soo, we all know that you pretended to be a paraplegic.

You didn't really lose your legs trying to save a member of your troop.

Plus, the case from 25 years ago has been exposed.

You're an evil killer.

- You are finished now. - Team Leader Seo.

You actually believe the claims of a third-rate reporter?

Even though that may be true, the statute of limitations for that case has expired.

The statute of limitations?

Then what about this?

Your son altered the evidence regarding the Minister of Justice's murder.

Also, the person at the murder scene with him was Jang Ho.

What does this all imply?

Jang Ho is merely a follower of Hwang Woo Hyun.

Behind the murder of Minister Lee is your son,

CIS agent Hwang Woo Hyun.

Detective Seo Mi Soo,

are you trying to frame my son for the crimes your brother committed?

Hwang Dal Soo!

You killed my parents 25 years ago.

Your son killed my adoptive father.

Aren't you afraid of heaven's judgment?

God will give me a fair judgment.

Go on.

I think he caught on to us, because I can't find him anywhere.

However, Jang Yong's daughter, Jang Mi, has attempted suicide.

She's in the hospital now.

What? Jang Yong's daughter?

Find out which hospital. I am going there.

Jang Yong's family is breaking apart.

I don't think you're in the position to talk about another's plight.

Chairman Hwang Dal Soo,

no matter how good your lawyer is this time,

it will not work.

Prepare to visit your son in jail.

Jang Ho,

you're under arrest as a suspect for the murder of Minister Lee Hyung Sub.

- What? - What?

- What did I do? - Arrest him.

Wait. Do you have an arrest warrant? What did my Jang Ho do?

Arrest warrant. Where's the arrest warrant?

Here. The arrest warrant.

Father.

- Hwang Bo! - Yes!

Jang Ho.

Father!

My son!

What should I do? My son.

And what about my daughter?

Because of Choi Kang Ta,

my family has fallen apart.

Jang Mi.

What should I do now?

Hey, Detective Seo.

I think you've made a mistake.

I don't have anything to do with Minister Lee Hyung Sub's case.

It's true, Detective Seo.

I swear to God...

I really have nothing to do with the case.

Hey! Shut up your mouth!

Since you tell me to be quiet, I will be quiet.

Get out of the way! Get out of the way!

Stand still!

Get out of my way!

Don't let me catch you or else you are dead!

Get out of the way!

We have to get across. Stop.

Director Kim, it's me.

I ran away from the police, and barely escaped.

I am near the hospital.

Hurry up and drive the car here, understand?

Hey, how's Father?

Alright. Hurry up!

They even have an arrest warrant. Doesn't that mean I'm done for?

Peter Pan, you bastard.

If I die, I will take you down with me.

The CCTV caught him in front of the evidence repository.

They took a picture of Hwang Woo Hyun.

The CIS has also confirmed that the murder suspects of Minister Lee...

are Jang Ho and Hwang Woo Hyun.

But I cannot let you proceed with this case, Team Leader Seo.

What are you saying right now?

I know this case very well.

I know this case better than anyone else.

That's the problem.

Aren't you related by blood to Peter Pan?

That person...

That person... is just a suspect whom I'm going to arrest.

No matter how detached you try to be as you go about this,

because you are human, at a crucial moment, emotions can get in the way.

Chief, I...

Because of this case, the father who raised me died.

As a cop, if I'm asked to merely watch,

I will immediately take off this police uniform.

Then, as a regular citizen, I will continue to hunt down the murderer of this case.

Then what you are trying to say...

is that you want to personally arrest Hwang Woo Hyun and Jang Ho?

Yes.

Can you also personally arrest Peter Pan?

Yes.

Fine.

If you become unstable because of personal feelings even for a moment,

I will make you resign immediately.

Understand?

Thank you, Chief.

This is all thanks to you, Boss.

I'm now officially taking my hands off this project.

I believe that this will be better for you, Chairman Park.

If I need help, you'll definitely come and help, right?

Of course,

but don't call me too often.

Yes.

Boss, thank you for your hard work.

Then...

Do you think you can protect me till the end?

Yes, I will pledge my loyalty and risk my life for you.

Yes, Father.

This man's skills are quite good.

At the final battle, he'll be worth using.

I just received news that Choi Kang Ta has appeared at X City.

He must have gone to see Chairman Park.

Whatever.

I knew that fellow would appear there.

Do you have any strategies?

I do, Father.

I will risk everything.

Choi Kang Ta,

only you and I remain.

I will finish you off now.

Hwang Dal Soo,

just give up now.

Choi Kang Ta...

You...

You really are a phoenix.

- Let's end this now. - Okay.

I...

I surrender.

Surrender.

Beg my father...

for forgiveness.

Alright. Sorry.

Sorry.

To Hae Ryong,

and to you, I have done wrong.

For everything,

I'm sorry.

From the very beginning,

from the start, it was all my fault.

Choi Kang Ta,

sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry!

I won't kill you.

I want you to live,

and feel pain that's worse than death.

You... are you afraid of dying?

I feel good about it.

You...

If you are a phoenix, then I am...

the Angel of Death.

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father...

Father!

Father.

Father

Father...

Father.

Father.

Father...

Father!

Boss, are you alright?

I could have stopped him. Now another person is dead.

He did it to himself.

Still, I could have saved him.

Thank you. Take care.

[The wanted suspect of Minister of Justice Lee Hyung Sub's murder]...

...[is Yong Bi Construction's President Jang Ho!]

Vivian,

because I did that to you,

I'm being punished.

Hwang Lim Group's Chairman, Hwang Dal Soo, died this afternoon.

What?

Recently, Hwang Dal Soo was exposed for several scandals regarding lies to the country.

A reporter's article alleging his involvement in a drug and murder scandal 25 years ago,

had put him under investigation.

Chairman Hwang died?

Then what about my father? Father, Father...

What? There's no battery?

This is supposed to charge since it's solar-powered.

Why do I always have to charge my phone when something important comes up?

The participation of Hwang Lim Group's Hwang Dal Soo

in the illegal transfer of the X City Marine Tourism Resort to America,

is being criticized by citizens.

But the chairman has passed away.

Dal Soo, you rascal.

Now that you are gone, what am I going to do?

Oh, Jang Ho! Where are you?

Don't call me with your cell phone, else they can track you down.

Yes, Father. You don't have to worry.

But Father, are you okay?

- What about Jang Mi? - Jang Mi?

Aigoo, Jang Mi is still not awake.

Hey, Jang Ho,

even Hwang Dal Soo is gone now.

Now, only one person remains of the four.

That creep...

...has killed the others, and I'm the only one left.

I'm really going crazy.

I'm so scared that I can't even sleep.

I'm living like a homeless person now.

I don't have any money with me, and I have nowhere to go.

Director Kim is being followed by the cops, so I can't even meet him.

Jang Ho...

From this point on, stay with Woo Hyun.

Right now, the only person remaining on our side is Woo Hyun.

So follow Woo Hyun and stay with him, understand?

It's me, Jang Ho.

Woo Hyun, you don't look so good.

Woo Hyun...

Do we have to escape by boat to China?

Jang Ho.

Yes, go on.

Before I...

kill Peter Pan,

I won't be going anywhere.

He's not going to die.

We tried so hard to kill him, but he didn't die!

No.

This time...

This time, I will blow him to pieces.

Then, how are you going to do that?

Woo Hyun.

Jin Bo Bae.

Sunbae...

What happened?

Sunbae, are you really involved in Minister Lee Hyung Sub's murder?

I don't have time to explain. It is time to end everything.

Sunbae.

Sunbae!

Boss, look at this.

Choi Kang Ta,

we have to end this, right?

The location,

you should know well where it is.

I suggest you hurry.

Sunbae.

Sunbae, you weren't like this before.

Why have you become like this?

I don't know.

Why have I become like this?

Why have I become like this?

I...

Why have I become like this?

I...

Why have I become like this?

I...

Why have I become like this?

Chairman Jang Yong's call records show he received a call from a public telephone.

There's a number.

I've already sent people there.

Yes.

Team Leader! Team Leader!

An eyewitness to Minister Lee Hyung Sub's murder has appeared.

What?

He saw a man with a large build and a short, middle-aged man go into the warehouse.

The large man would be Jang Ho.

A short middle-aged man... then he's not Hwang Woo Hyun.

He said the person on TV yesterday,

is that middle-aged man, Chairman Jang Yong.

Then,

that means Jang Yong and son killed Minister Lee Hyung Sub.

Yes, that seems to be the case.

Jang Yong's daughter is still in the hospital, isn't she?

Dr. Kwon, why is this child still not showing signs of waking up?

If we'd washed the pills out of her system any later, she would have died.

She is more stable now, and will wake up soon.

You don't have to worry, Chairman.

- Chairman! - Yes?

You have to escape. The police have surrounded the hospital!

- The po-police? Why? - They have an arrest warrant for you.

Me? Arrest warrant? For what?

Minister Lee Hyung Sub's murder.

What? Really?

Alright, but... what should I do now?

- I'll take you away. - Okay.

Wait.

Jang Mi,

Father will be back.

I will definitely be back.

Wake up before then, alright?

Let's go.

What should I do?

If Jang Mi wakes up and finds no one by her side,

I don't know what she will do.

Chairman, you must hurry and escape.

The police have come to the hotel, too. They are all over the place right now.

What? Those bastards.

Where am I supposed to hide?

Let's go!

Why isn't she picking up her phone? What is she doing?

Reporter Jin is an outstanding reporter. She must be very busy.

Why are you so worried?

That means she's making another enemy.

The people she reported on probably won't stay still.

But the world we live in is like that.

The world goes around because of these brave people.

The number you've dialed is currently unavailable.

Soo Ra.

No...

- How did you... - Shhh!

Help me.

Give me something to eat. I haven't eaten anything today.

The cops are looking for me. I have nowhere to go.

That's why you can't live like that when you've committed sins.

Jang Mi is still unconscious, lying in the hospital.

Jang Ho is still hiding.

Everything has fallen apart.

- Look here, Chairman Jang Yong. - Yes?

Turn yourself in.

Turn myself in?

Do you think I came here to hear that from you?

If not, what? Until when are you going to keep running?

I can't believe it.

I keep thinking this is all a dream.

Why did I become like this?

I was...

the invincible Chairman Jang Yong of Yong Bi Group.

Why has my life become like this?

- It's not too late now. - No, no.

It's too late.

Now, I have no more hope.

Your children. Don't you still have your children?

The last image of their father is the most important thing to your children.

Turn yourself in, Chairman Jang Yong.

If you are scared, I will help you.

Wait, wait! Wait a moment.

In the end, I still have some things to say to my son.

- Yes, Father? - Oh, Jang Ho?

Listen to your father. It's too late to do anything now.

Woo Hyun is out of his mind right now.

If you follow that fellow, you will fall into the depths of hell.

Oh, Father. Didn't you tell me to follow Woo Hyun?

No, leave immediately.

Dad, it's too late.

Woo Hyun says he will finish off Choi Kang Ta even if it means death.

Don't go, back out. You can't go!

Then, what do you want me to do?

Hurry and turn yourself in now.

No, Father. If I do, I'll be dead.

No, you won't die, punk. You'll be caught eventually, anyway.

If you turn yourself in, you won't be in as much trouble.

Jang Ho, I'm going to turn myself in, too.

After we both turn ourselves in, we will meet again.

Jang Ho, you must heed my advice, okay?

Father.

Father, I'm sorry. Be healthy.

I am so tired.

Let me lie down and sleep a bit.

While I sleep, call the police for me.

Say that Jang Yong wants to turn himself in. Tell them that for me.

Okay,

I will.

I will call.

Jang Mi.

Jang Ho.

Bo Bae.

Aigoo!

It's all your father's fault.

I'm sorry.

Aigoo!

Forgive me.

What did you say?

Hwang Woo Hyun says he will kill Choi Kang Ta.

He has kidnapped reporter Jin Bo Bae.

Where?

Where?

That... I heard it's at X City.

But Detective, Jang Ho has nothing to do with this.

Hwang Woo Hyun devised this plan on his own.

Hwang Bo, we are going to X City.

Dispatch all the cops there, and get a helicopter.

Immediately!

You have finally appeared, Choi Kang Ta.

No! Michael, don't come here!

Michael, don't come!

There! There!

Hey! Get up!

Run!

Hwang Woo Hyun, put your gun down.

Sunbae, don't do this.

Please return to the Hwang Woo Hyun that I know.

Sunbae, please!

Hwang Woo Hyun, put your gun down!

Choi Kang Ta,

all the women you love are here.

Hwang Woo Hyun...

Pick one. I will save one of them.

Hwang Woo Hyun, put your gun down!

No!

Kang Hee!

Kang Hee!

- Detective Seo! - Kang Hee.

Kang Hee.

Kang Hee...

No... you can't.

No, no!

Oppa!

Oppa, don't shoot!

Me...

Me... you promised me.

Don't shoot.

Kang Hee.

Kang Hee.

Detective Seo.

Kang Hee.

Kang Hee.

Oppa.

Every time I see you,

here,

it really hurts here.

From now on,

I really hope that you will live a happy life.

Oppa...

I... I don't want to die.

I, I... I don't want to die.

Kang Hee.

Kang Hee...

Kang Hee!

Kang Hee!

Kang Hee!

Stand still!

You and I... It must be fate.

Let's go.

Weather today is good.

Please take care of her.

Farewell, Choi Kang Ta!

No...

No!

Michael!

Michael!

This afternoon, it was reported that the assassin Peter Pan

had died in an explosion at X City

while the police were pursuing the late Minister Lee's murderer.

Although it is said he died in an accident,

Peter Pan's body couldn't be found in the car that exploded.

The suspect for the murder of the late Minister Lee Hyung Sub and Mr. Seo Tae Jin,

is said to be ex-CIS agent, Hwang Woo Hyun.

The police are looking for him.

Hwang Woo Hyun was the team leader responsible for capturing Peter Pan.

As the son of the Chairman of Hwang Lim Group,

he had altered the evidence, and put the blame on Peter Pan,

in order to cover up his father's crimes.

This came as a huge shock to everyone.

Hurry and go.

Tell Sister I'm sorry that I couldn't see her before leaving.

Okay. Don't worry about things here. Study hard.

Good work.

You are Reporter Jin Bo Bae, right?

Do you really have Chairman Jang Yong's recorded confession?

When will you release it?

Why did you dig into a case of which the statute of limitations has expired?

As a reporter, just like everyone here,

I wanted to unearth the truth that was covered by lies and hypocrisy.

Even if the statute of limitations has expired, the truth does not.

Then what do you think about Peter Pan?

Is Peter Pan what everyone knows him as?

...a murderer?

Peter Pan was created by our society, and was a victim of it.

Our society was so blinded by evil and greed,

that we failed to protect a young boy.

That boy... after witnessing his father's murder,

felt there was no reason for him to live.

The only thing that he could do was seek revenge.

If our society can't get rid of evil and corrupt people,

then a second and third Peter Pan will appear.

This one is good.

Good. It will suit them well.

Hey, how much will the two couple tees cost?

The couple tees cost 70,000 won*. (*about US$70)

Why is it so expensive?

Oh well. Might as well go all out.

Make sure to give me bonus points on the card.

Bo Bae, this is the last gift I'm giving you.

Grandfather...

You have worked hard up till now.

Mother will miss you.

Open it and look.

What's this? Why clothes?

Well, you're a reporter.

Wear this and go from place to place,

while writing good articles.

Thank you, Hye Jung's grandfather.

You are going to wear this out today, right?

Yes, I will.

I must be going crazy.

Recently, I saw a person who looks like you.

No, it was as if I saw you.

I could be wrong,

but I didn't know that I love you enough to hallucinate.

Don't laugh at my foolishness.

Writing these letters venting to you has become my only indulgence these days.

I wonder where you are right now, and how you are doing.

Do you miss me, too?

Thank you.

Michael...

Michael, you're still alive.

Michael.

Even though love leaves me,

Even though goodbye follows me,

Still... Still...

From my defeated state, I look up.

The sky is faded, and I can't see the sun.

You're like a flame on the verge of being blown out by the wind.

Even if my heart is numb,

I have no more tears left to shed.

Even though I've become blind to miracles,

In the back of my mind,

I'm yearning for you always.

Even though love leaves me,

Even though goodbye follows me,

Still...
