RODGER: Previously on The Traitors...
Nice to meet you.
..our epic game of good...
(THUNDER CRACKS)
..versus evil...
(LAUGHS)
..reached fever pitch
when the 11 remaining faithful
finally caught their first Traitor...
Angus, I'm sorry.
Ah, you guys got me.
I'm a Traitor.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
I knew it!
..followed closely by a second Traitor...
I'm really sorry, Claire.
..in back-to-back banishments.
I am a Traitor.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Their spirits continued to skyrocket
with a hugely successful Silver Challenge.
(CONTESTANTS SHOUT INDISTINCTLY)
(ALL CHEER)
Three planes landed out of three. $30,000.
And Lady Luck was on their side
in the ultimate gamble...
ALL: Yeah!
..which paid off handsomely.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Not a bad day in the office - $138,000!
Yeww!
Riding their wave of success...
Really wanna get three for three.
..the Faithful are fixated on a new target.
I trust my gut.
And right now, it's saying "Stick with Marielle."
Because if they don't catch all the Traitors by the end,
they don't win a cent.
Regardless of how many Faithful are there at the end,
if a Traitor is left at the end, they take all the money.
(THUNDER CRACKS)
And now the two remaining Traitors...
..will snuff out the dreams of one more Faithful.
MARIELLE: Mark. He's definitely a concern for me.
What do you think about Kate?
NIGEL: No-one's gonna banish either of them.
The only way they're gonna leave this game...
..is if they're murdered.
(WIND CHIME RATTLES)
(UNSETTLING MUSIC)
OK.
We're halfway through this game
and I feel myself getting stronger as a Faithful.
I'm definitely flying under the radar.
Oh, well, at least I'm not bloody murdered!
That's exactly what my strategy was coming into this game.
Really sitting and listening to what people are saying,
to listen to that instinct in the room,
and that's what I have to do to survive.
Being a model I think definitely builds your resilience,
but I have been through a lot in my life
and I definitely think that it built me as a person.
I went through a lot of horrendous bullying during high school.
That experience made me realise when to speak up and when to stay quiet.
The fun side to being quiet is you do a lot of listening
and watching and observing.
And I can use that to my advantage in the game.
I'd do anything to win.
Winning means that I'd get to start a life with my partner.
My partner, Tiffany, and I
are looking to settle down and have kids through IVF,
which is quite an expensive and lengthy process.
But I think that I would be a great mum.
I know that Tiff would make an even better mum.
My future family, my girlfriend, Tiff,
that is what is getting me through to the end game.
Knowing that we've voted out two Traitors in a row,
Angus and Claire...
It would be great to keep up the Traitor hunting season momentum!
Maybe I should scare the person that comes in.
Or that's a bit too mean. (LAUGHS)
Alex, just do your job, and that is to seek out a Traitor.
So we banished Claire last night
and that means that we are two Traitors down now.
Now there's only half of us left -
Nigel and I.
I don't feel guilty,
because I'm here to win, I'm here to play the game.
(BOTH LAUGH)
Oh, my God! Hi!
I think the Faithfuls are feeling great
now that they've got two Traitors out.
They're feeling kind of content
and they're on their path to find the next Traitor.
I'm so stoked you're here! Me too, darling.
But the fact remains that I'm the one that gave them those names.
BOTH: Cheers.
Good morning. Good morning. Good morning.
The Faithfuls are just not playing this game well at all.
I don't think they have any clue where they're looking.
Phew! How you feeling?
Nervous. Yeah, me too.
Obviously Claire going was great.
(LAUGHS) It was sad.
Sorry, Claire, but goodbye. Sorry, Claire!
I understand that targeting Claire after we just got rid of Angus
is a really strange move for a Traitor.
I feel like it is breaking you.
And I think it's the weight of a role
that you're really uncomfortable with.
And that's why I'm voting for you tonight.
(WHISPERS) Sorry.
But I didn't completely trust Claire,
and it really played into my strategy
to show the Faithfuls that I was on their side
by getting those two Traitors out.
That's one more strong person out of my way.
I will do anything to win.
I wanna be a Traitor that makes it to the end.
Boo!
WOMAN: Oh, my God! Nigel!
Nigel!
My man!
(CONTESTANTS EXCLAIM)
ALEX: My game plan for today is a lot of listening and a lot of taking in.
I'm gonna be watching my fellow Faithfuls at breakfast closely.
Who feels safe and who doesn't?
(SINGS) # Is that
# The Phantom of the Opera? #
Dirk is in my sights.
Has anyone seen the musical 'Les Miserables'?
I love 'Les Miserables'. It's my favourite musical.
I suspect Dirk to be a Traitor
because he walked into the breakfast room singing praises.
He just seems a bit too carefree in this game.
But I am watching every single person here.
(LAUGHS)
I literally trust nobody.
I'm hoping that Mark and Fi are still here.
I mean, you gotta suspect everyone, but is there any suspicion on Mark?
Like... Nuh.
Nah, man, he has led the way.
He did. He led the charge on Angus and Claire.
And I feel like he's so... Like, we just look at what he's done.
Unless he's playing the power game within a game
and killing off his own...
Playing well! No, that would be so bad!
Highest respect if he is, 'cause that's a tough game. Like, whoa, man.
(OTHERS LAUGH)
Hey! Here we go!
What's up, man?
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
I'm here, guys!
With Matt, he creates so much noise,
which is such a distraction.
Yeah.
Could be the perfect cover-up as well.
Well, he didn't vote for Angus, he didn't vote for Claire.
It'll just be interesting to see if he comes down today...
Mmm. ..whether he's learned from it.
Nuh.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Morning, guys. Morning.
Claire's banishment is a little bit bittersweet.
A great win for the Faithfuls.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
..but a reality check for me personally
'cause I had no signals from Claire whatsoever.
Claire threw me.
That's what I've been trying to say to you, because your...
I mean, there's passion, but you can't just
go like a bulldozer, right?
I'm 100% gonna keep driving Teresa.
I've just had too much evidence and too much clues to this point in time
for me to start a clean slate.
But I need to give the perception that it's a game reset for me
which will get people on board with me a little bit more.
Yeah. Yeah.
MATT:
Sure.
As a business coach, reading people is what I do for a living.
I think Matt is Faithful,
but he's behaving like a Traitor.
He just can't stop himself doing it.
Oh! OK. Who's...who's not here?
Mark.
Ahh! And Kate.
So missing Kate and Mark.
Any bets on who's not gonna make it down?
Kate and Mark are yet to show up.
Oh, I can't even eat, I'm so nervous that it's Mark.
Oh, no, I can.
If Mark doesn't come to breakfast, I think we're all kind of screwed.
I swear to God, if they got rid of Mark...
Yeah, we can't lose our hunter!
No, no. 100% success rate, that boy.
(SIGHS) Every time I see a bloody shadow!
Come on, Mark. Come on, Mark. Come on, Mark.
I don't wanna play favourites, but he gets results.
No, but he's gotten us the Traitors, so...
WOMAN: Oh, my God!
Hello, Kate. We love seeing you, but...
We love you, we love you. It's just who's not here.
Yeah.
Ohh.
You just never know, really, in this game
whether you're gonna survive the night or not.
But just the shock of it
and knowing, like, I'll never get to say goodbye.
MAN: It's gonna get like this, honestly.
Yeah, it's gonna get harder every time.
That was horrible.
Oh!
As much as it hurts, we've gotta move on.
We all have to remember that we are here for a reason.
And that is to vote the Traitors out,
banish them, get them gone.
I have been murdered.
The Traitors got me.
(LAUGHS)
I was too good!
That's what went wrong.
So I think next on my list was probably going to be Marielle.
To the Faithfuls left in the game,
you can do this.
Keep trusting those feelings
and don't discard them
just because some noise has been created.
Those feelings are correct.
Rocked.
I thought it would be between Mark and I
because we both go pretty hard in the Banishment Room.
And since he's gone, I feel like I should take Mark's spot
and continue drilling the room.
So my top suspects are Dirk and Teresa.
I would really like to avenge Mark's murder.
So I'll try as hard as I can.
I thought about it. I thought... I knew it would be one of us.
Yeah, I knew it would be me or Mark. I knew it.
MAN: Yeah?
How quickly did she go into...
How quickly did she go, "Who's not here? Oh, it's Mark."
She came in, she didn't even need to look to know who wasn't here.
Right. Right?
FI: Kate has put a bit of a target on her back, in my eyes.
She was able to walk into the room
and without scanning the room
or greeting everyone,
she knew exactly who wasn't at breakfast.
That is an alarm bell for me.
I hope everyone bawls their eyes out when I get murdered.
Oh, I will. Right?
She's looking around like, "Crack? Crack?"
Everybody needs to as soon as I get murdered.
(DARK MUSIC)
NIGEL: This game is getting super intense.
This game is to deceive and to lie
to get to the end.
Marielle voted for both Angus and Claire.
She's playing this game harder than anybody else.
I don't trust Marielle.
Oh, my God. Magical! Where are we?
Oh, my goodness!
This is dangerous already, and muddy.
What are we in for?
We're getting so dangerously close to the end.
We already have 138,000.
But we need to win a lot more.
Right. Here we go.
These challenges give the opportunity to really fill the pot.
We're coming up to a...train track.
He-hey! Hey, guys! Check this out!
What? What?!
Ooh. OK!
KATE: What is happening?
What the hell? (LAUGHS)
I can see some interesting contraptions and...
Oh, God.
..Rodger's here, looking good. (LAUGHS)
This is gonna be good. Yay! Hi, Rodger!
Lay it on us, Rodge.
Greetings, everybody.
About last night...
Well, the Traitors certainly did hit their Mark, didn't they?
Ooh!
Too soon.
Low blow.
And that's exactly what you'll need to do in today's Silver Challenge.
You'll be broken up into two groups -
the movers and the shooters.
Now, the movers will use that pump trolley
to transport projectiles to the shooters
who will aim and shoot the catapult
at the targets.
There are five targets, each worth two silver bars
for a possible $20,000 up for grabs.
OK. Not bad.
Time to break up into your groups.
Alright. Movers, are you ready?
ALL: Yeah!
Shooters, are you ready?
ALL: Yeah!
Your 20 minutes starts...
..now!
(CONTESTANTS SHOUT)
For this challenge, our team gets split into two groups.
Nigel and I end up being the two
that are loading the balls onto the trolley.
Go! Go!
Easy. Easy does it.
Craig, Fi, Alex and we're on that little
do-flickey thingamajiggy.
It goes like this. Everybody knows what it is.
We saw it in cowboy movies.
And we have to move the balls straight up to the catapult.
We got this! Go! Go!
Incoming!
The shooters - Dirk, Paul, Matt, myself and Kate -
we were up front and we did all the heavy lifting.
Go. Take them.
Load up the catapult.
That's it, that's it.
And use the balls to hit targets.
Come on!
(ALL GROAN) So close!
Ah, that's the first miss.
Perhaps not as easy as it looks.
Just missed the first one.
You got this!
Go, go, Lew. Go, Lew.
Good work, guys.
You got this, Kate. I believe in you, man.
Alright. Good luck.
Hey!
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
And that's one direct hit. You're on the board. Well done.
A little bit closer. A little bit closer.
Hang on! Hang on! That's pretty good.
Go, Dirk. Load it up.
Nice. Nice!
Go, Dirk. Push!
Beautiful! Go, go!
Come on!
(CONTESTANTS GROAN) Come on!
Communication is the key.
Re-engage? Yep?
The great thing is we actually work surprisingly well as a team.
We got this! We got this!
You ready, Kate? Beauty!
Come on, Dirk. You've got this, babe.
(ALL CHEER)
Well done, team! Well done!
Two hits. Sharp shooting indeed.
Marielle and I, we're 200m away from the other players.
Slow and steady wins the race.
They can't hear us. They're not even looking at us.
Oh, mate, it just couldn't get any better.
This might have been an easy job for us.
Yes! (LAUGHS)
Marielle is playing a really good game.
We've lost Claire and Angus.
I think we need each other to get to the end of the game.
But can I trust Marielle that she will also have my back?
Um, I wanted to tell you,
like, I will absolutely take you to the end.
Yeah. I will not sell you out.
No, no, I agree. I agree.
Like, I promise you that. I won't do what we did to Angus and Claire.
No.
I'd be very happy if we were the two last.
The two last in the game.
Yeah. I'd be chuffed with that.
Yeah.
Alright, guys, let's go!
10 minutes down! Thanks, guys!
10 minutes remaining.
Crank it. Go, Dirky!
Alright, load it. Fingers clear? Yep?
(ALL GROAN)
(CONTESTANTS SHOUT ENCOURAGEMENT)
Here we go. Three, two, one.
That's it.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER) We did it!
And three hits.
Perhaps looking quite costly for me at this stage.
TERESA: This is awesome.
You're just hooning down the railway tracks!
Oh, we're going pretty fast!
Like, it's physical, but not cardio physical.
(LAUGHS) Which you know I hate!
Yep, nice, nice, nice. Well done, guys.
Alright, rotate, rotate!
I think we were all quite surprised
at how well we were able to do this.
I mean, if you've played Angry Birds...
(MAN GROANS)
It was pretty much just human that, so...
OK, clear the track! Go!
Arrgh!
While we're just travelling away, um...
Yeah.
Yeah.
Come on.
(ALL GROAN) No!
It did go to the left.
So push that forward that way.
And with only 5 minutes remaining,
it is looking very, very tight.
Go, go, go! Pull!
There's 20 grand up for grabs.
I just need to figure out how to do this.
Engage, engage!
Thanks, Dirk. Ready.
Ready? Yep!
Three, two, one. Fire in the hole!
Shit!
Yep. Three, two, one. Fire in the hole!
(ALL CHEER)
And that's four targets down.
If you wanna bag the lot, you will have to hurry.
Go, go, go, go! One more, one more!
(SHOUTS) Pump it!
(MUTTERS) The next banishment's gonna be interesting.
It is. Yeah.
I think Kate'll go next one. Yeah, I think Kate will too.
You hear my name at all?
Yes.
Nice! That's it!
Ready? Three, two, one.
ALL: Ohh!
Bit closer! Go, Matt! Go!
MARIELLE: He's actually onto both of us.
No-one would bat an eyelid, either, 'cause everyone wants him gone.
Yeah. Like, it's not the worst choice.
Yeah.
A tiny bit more, tiny bit more.
30 seconds to go.
This is going down to the wire.
I'm really trying to focus
because there's money on the line.
Wait, I'll engage it for ya. There you go.
WOMAN: Come on, Matt! Come on!
Oh, yeah.
Down to 10 seconds.
Come on, guys, you've got this!
Hit it!
(ALL CHEER)
And five from five without a second to lose.
(ALL CHATTER EXCITEDLY)
Awesome!
Yes!
Well, congratulations, everybody.
Your aim was indeed straight and true,
managing to hit all five targets
for a total of $20,000 into the pot.
Well done, all.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
It's an absolutely amazing feeling.
We successfully nailed the challenge.
And last night, we nailed a second Traitor.
I'm 100% sure the third Traitor is Teresa.
So the non-negotiable plan right now,
professional and humble opinion,
I'm gonna do whatever it takes to send home a Traitor in Teresa.
Are we... Do we light them on fire and then...
Blow them out? Ooh! Yes.
And then take the first layer...
I crisp up the outer shell and then peel it off
and you've got the gooey centre.
KATE: I'm still riding high on catching two Traitors in a row.
So I'm ready for a hat trick. Let's do this.
Traitor hunting time!
Pass me a marshmallow. Thank you.
I just can't believe how many I've just eaten.
No, I love it. I'm not leaving any for anyone else.
Only for me, thanks!
The Faithful are on a roll.
We need to take this momentum and run with it.
I'm just a light crisper. That's it?
Going into this Shield Challenge,
there are certain people that don't want to win.
And then tonight, which is the next person to be banished?
It's about to get close!
What I want out of banishment tonight is a Traitor gone.
I'm gonna be keeping an eye on Dirk.
(GASPS) Oh, no!
Always Teresa.
She's got everyone wrapped around her little finger.
At this point, it's feeling like
it's gonna be detrimental to my game.
She's still high on my list.
Still high on my list.
I think she's a smart woman and I think she'd make a great Traitor.
Game play. Me too.
The Traitors seem to be picking off people who are speaking their mind.
Yeah.
But I never back down from a challenge.
I have been playing games like this for, like, 15 years.
I have been using all of those skills in this game
and I know that I have the skills to get to the end.
I'm Kate. I'm a 37-year-old photographer from Sydney.
And a winner.
I'm...very competitive.
So one, two, three. And then build it there?
I love games nights. One of my favourite things to do.
It's really about figuring out
what people are thinking,
what they're thinking that you're thinking.
I feel like I've done it enough that I'm kind of the queen at it now.
It doesn't matter if you're my best friend.
I'm still gonna take you down.
This is the best meal I've had since I've been in the house!
You want another one? Yes, please.
There's definitely a sense with Kate
of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.
And we all had kinda clues for other people.
Oh, my God! True!
Don't get me excited.
I planted Kate's name out there because I am conscious
that she's playing a really hard game
and I really wanna keep an eye on her
and what her game strategy is right now.
Want one?
I'm basically trying to gauge whether we should murder her
or whether she's gonna get banished before we even need to do that.
We have to figure out who's the murderer!
(LAUGHS) Yeah! Right?
So, what do we think the, uh, Shield Challenge is today?
I mean, I was not prepared for swimming last time,
so hopefully it's nothing like that again.
NIGEL: Oh, my God!
We're going into a Shield Challenge,
which is exciting, from my point of view,
having, you know, won the first Shield.
I'm so competitive.
If I can win every single Shield Challenge, then so be it.
So, how we looking for banishment, people?
Matt, tell me you are approaching a different system right now.
I do have an open mind.
Tell me you've got an open mind, Matt.
I do have an open mind.
I'm feeling like a kid in a custody battle in the back seat.
(HIGH-PITCHED VOICE) I simply can't take the fighting!
So I don't know if I picked the short straw somewhere,
but I'm in a car with Matt and Teresa.
And I'm not telling you who to vote for.
Sure. Right?
But you should learn how to spell everyone else's names.
I'm just sayin'. (LAUGHS)
OK, you got 'Teresa' down pat, you know what I mean?
Are you willing to come to, like,
the conclusion that you are wrong?
That you are 100% wrong, Matt! (LAUGHS)
I thought it would be,
you know, a car ride full of arguing and bickering.
But Matt seemed to realise that he was just digging his own grave.
It's the same narrative we've got for the last couple of banishments.
It's not working. You've gotta play this game in numbers.
Yeah. And you are...
I'm a lone wolf. You're a lone wolf!
Yeah, I get it.
Matt, I think he's a Faithful, just a not very good one.
After last banishment... Uh-huh?
It was a really good wake-up call for me,
'cause I never suspected Claire to be a Traitor.
Yep. And that threw me.
Oh, good!
So, yes, it opened up my mind. Good. Matt... Good.
Kate, I think, is a Traitor.
Comes here to play hard.
I was right the first time.
I was right the second time.
And I'm following instinct here on her behaviour.
You need to jump in the game.
'Cause I've already seen the same traits
that I saw in Angus and in Claire
in someone else, and that's who I'm voting for tonight.
Right. And you're not comfortable to say who or...
Yeah. Kate. Right. OK.
Perfect play for a Traitor
to start picking off another 'lone wolf'.
She's pushing Kate.
She's seen change in her behaviour, etc, etc.
Nothing Teresa says or does will change my opinion.
It just reconfirms my suspicions on her.
Indicator. Indicator right now, Matt.
Right now.
Damn, girl. Bang! (LAUGHS)
I'm still all eyes on Teresa.
Ah! Oh, my God!
Rodger's got a shotgun!
Oh, my God, it's a crossbow!
What?
Ohh! (WOMAN LAUGHS)
Friends,
didn't manage to see a hunting party on your way in, did you?
You know, horses, hounds,
bloke with a bugle, plenty of these things?
No? Oh, well. Not to worry.
Sure they'll turn up.
These are indeed dark times.
Murder and banishments abound.
So who wouldn't fancy gaining protection
from the quinella of doom by winning a shiny Shield?
Whoo! Yes!
Now, as you know,
the Shield protects you not only from tonight's banishment,
but also tonight's murder.
A pretty bloody good deal if you ask me.
But no icy lakes this time.
Just a gentle foray into the delicate art of bow hunting.
Haha! We grew up on the rifle range.
My dad owned so many guns.
He's a massive hunting enthusiast.
Yes, I got this!
One by one,
players will nominate another player's target
and attempt to destroy it.
If your target is destroyed,
alas, you are out of the game.
If your name is the last remaining target,
you win the Shield.
MARIELLE: The worst-case scenario is
that Kate, Dirk or Matt win the Shield,
because as soon as one of those people is out of the running,
there's a chance that people will try and put another name
up for the banishment.
So without further ado, I believe we should get this party started.
Yeah! Let's do this!
OK, Craig, you're first up.
Here we go. Go, Craig!
Start it off strong!
Now, Craig, before you take the shot,
would you mind telling us who you are aiming for?
I'm gonna go for Nigel.
If your name is hit and the glass smashes,
then you are out of the game
and you can't win the Shield.
Safety off.
Ooh, yeah!
That's a miss. Make your way to the back of the line.
OK, Dirk, I think it's time we took someone out.
Marielle.
OK, Paul, you're next.
Ohh!
Ohh!
Lewis? I'm gonna go for Nigel.
Oh, course you are!
He can't have the Shield twice in a row!
My gosh!
Ohh!
Teresa, tell the group. Matt. It's Matt.
Every time, it's Matt. Every single time.
Obvious reasons there, Rodger.
Matt. Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt.
After the drive to the challenge,
I think I've got him to stop gunning for me, but you can't trust Matt.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Ha! Got him straightaway.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
You're not even having a turn at this.
Matt, you're out of the game.
If you wouldn't mind stepping over this side of me.
(LAUGHS)
Sorry, Matt! Sit down.
Alright, Kate. We're underway now. You're next.
Go, Kate! She is eager!
Kate, tell us, where's your arrow heading?
Uh...to the reigning champion, Nigel, sorry.
Ohh!
NIGEL: They don't want me to win the Shield again.
Like, it's... I'm really nervous.
Yes, yes!
Alex, feeling confident? No! (LAUGHS)
I'm noticing that the Shield Challenge
brings out the, uh... the desperation in some.
Alex, like I taught you.
I might have to go for you now, though.
FI: Don't go for me!
Alex, tell the group who you're going for.
I think I have to go for Nige!
(GASPS)
Hey! Good try, babe. Good try.
OK, Craig. Second shot. Here we go.
Let's go, Craig!
Go, Craigy-waigy!
People seem to be going for Nigel
because he won the last Shield Challenge.
And obviously they don't want him to have it again.
Ohh!
Eventually, Nigel, someone had to hit.
Nigel is out of the game.
But I need everyone to shift their attention.
(CONTESTANTS SHOUT)
Ohh!
And suddenly people start to get eliminated really quickly.
(CONTESTANTS SHOUT)
It's dwindled down to Fi, Craig, Dirk, Kate and myself.
So still five players left in the game
with a chance of protection
from tonight's murder and tonight's banishment.
Fi.
I think people don't want Kate to get it.
However, no-one's shooting her name yet.
Dirk, I'm sorry!
What?! I'm sorry!
The worst-case scenario today would be if Kate wins the Shield.
Because she is at the top of a lot of people's lists to go tonight.
Craig, who are we going for this time round?
I think I have to go for Kate.
It's really important to me that Kate's name
is able to be put out on the table tonight.
Look, Kate... Kate, I'm sorry.
I have been really pushing that agenda and it seems to be working.
Oh!
Phew! Another miss. Kate survives.
I'm surprised I'm still here.
It's really nerve-racking knowing that
I'm the target up there.
Up until this point, I've only been scared of murder
and now I'm scared of banishment as well.
I need that Shield.
So, Kate, you're up next.
Come on, Kate! Come on, Kate!
Kate cannot win this challenge.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Unfortunately, Dirk, you are done for.
What the heck, Kate?
Like, she was incredible!
So annoyed.
She got you right in the middle. She got me right in the middle.
Her sight is on. She's a good shot!
Yeah. If she gets immunity...
OK, Fi. You're up.
(GROANS) Go, girl!
Take out the sniper!
Where are we going? I don't know.
Um...
I feel like maybe my easiest shot might be Marielle.
(LAUGHS) You better hope you miss!
I just can't believe that Fi would have such a lapse
to not take the chance to try and hit out
the person that we are all trying to vote out.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
So three left standing.
Craig, you're up.
My mind is sheer panic.
WOMAN: Come on, Craig. He needs to hit it now.
I've got the weight of the team.
Kate is on everybody's radar.
I didn't just miss, like, you know...
I missed.
Kate, you've been a sharpshooter so far. Time for your next shot.
Oh, wow!
Another direct hit from Kate
and now Fi is out of the game.
And we are down to two remaining players.
MARIELLE: Craig, now's the time, mate.
If Craig doesn't hit this...
TERESA: Close your eyes and hope for the best!
Oh, no. (WOMAN LAUGHS)
I feel terrible. It's my worst moment in the game so far.
OK, the stakes are pretty clear.
Successful in this shot, you win the Shield.
(WHIMPERS)
As this challenge has gone on
and more people have built up on the other side of Rodger,
I have felt
the heat coming from that group of people.
She's gonna hit it.
By the time it gets to this final name,
I'm just praying that, um,
the crossbow doesn't fail me.
(BREATHES DEEPLY)
(CONTESTANTS SHOUT)
Straight and true.
Craig, unfortunately, you are out of the game.
Nice!
(KATE LAUGHS) I'm sorry.
Thank God that I won
'cause my name has been thrown out there way more than I realised.
Well, Kate, your aim was deadly accurate
and it's earned you protection from tonight's banishment and murder.
Come and get your Shield. (CONTESTANTS CHEER)
The rest of you, on the other hand, are definitely not safe
and I will see you at tonight's banishment.
Now, where did I leave that shotgun?
(CONTESTANTS LAUGH)
Kate getting that Shield was a huge spanner in our works.
Actually, it's written all over our faces, man.
Not just me, but right now,
everybody in this line is just, like, "Damn!"
'Cause we had a game plan.
And so now we've gotta go to our second person.
FI: I can't believe the one person we had
in our sights is now safe.
I'm annoyed.
Because the one person I wanted to vote
and I was 100% sold on is Kate
and she's just gone ahead and saved herself.
So, what do we do now? Well, I'm voting for Dirk.
Yeah. I mean, it's gotta be. That's all I've got.
I've got nothing else. (GROANS)
Today at the Shield Challenge,
I heard Dirk drop a little comment.
What did Dirk say?
He did not seem concerned about murder at all.
No, he did not.
When we were talking about the Shield, he was, like,
"Oh, why do you need it?"
I was, like, "Um, because I wanna go to bed
"and not be murdered tonight!"
And he's, like, "Oh, yeah, murder. I forget about that."
Wow. And I was, like, "Do you?"
And I was, like, "Oh, I wonder why
"it's easy for you not to think about murder?"
It's only a matter of time. 'Cause he's doing the murdering!
And that has put him on the Trai-dar.
My Traitor radar
is my Trai-dar.
Mark came up with that.
Rest in peace.
FI: So, Kate, how you feeling about not having to be worried at all?
Honestly, a feeling that I wasn't even ready for.
I didn't realise how tense I was.
It must feel so good.
Gonna be a fun banishment for you. Just sit and watch.
I mean, yes, but it also...
You know, it doesn't last long. Exactly.
Yeah. It doesn't last long, does it?
I can't really describe the weight that has been lifted off my chest.
It's a really good feeling - I'm trying to revel in it
just for a minute,
because I know it's not gonna last long!
How you feeling about tonight?
Yeah.
I'm just trying to think of who sort of is still on my radar.
Dirk and Teresa hold equal top spot for me,
but during the challenge, Dirk seemed very unfazed by the idea
of being murdered.
That was kind of the final red flag for me.
Have you heard my name out there?
For tonight?
Yeah.
Great.
From what I hear, a lot of it is people's gut feeling.
And that's nothing you can argue against, that.
I'm not sure whether I do believe Kate at first.
TERESA: What's the matter? How you feeling?
I just had a chat with Kate.
Oh. And what did she say, though?
She just said my name is out there a lot for tonight.
And how do you feel about that? 'Cause I've heard it as well.
I honestly had no idea
that my name was so high on everyone's list.
That's what I thought. Yeah. Yeah.
MARIELLE: How are you feeling?
Not great. Not great.
There's nothing that you can really say,
but if I do go home tonight, we'll break our winning streak.
Can I just say, you have said a few things
that have unsettled a few people.
Dirk has had the most slip-ups recently.
I know that's the reason why your name is on my list.
As much as I would actually like to send Kate or Teresa home,
it doesn't really matter.
As long as they get a Faithful,
that's really all that I need right now.
I'd rather be banished than murdered, to be honest.
At least I can go out with an exit song, yeah.
It's like going into a break-up
when you know that your partner's gonna break up with you
and you've been invited to your favourite restaurant
and you're trying to convince them that you're a good person
and that you should stay together.
MATT: So Dirk is the talk of the town.
He has caught wind of it.
And, mate, I feel your pain. Like, I've been there as well.
Just for you to stay composed, 'cause I've been in your situation.
Yes? Yeah?
So can you go about it strategically?
Can you try and get another name?
Kate was everyone's choice.
There may be another name
that you could see if there's any feelers
or numbers out there.
Yeah. Are you catching what I'm throwing?
Are you trying to give me a name? Because...
You know who I'm... (SIGHS) I can't do that.
Matt's, like, "You need to vote for Teresa."
Well, no, because I never have before,
so that would make me look even more suspicious
and I don't believe Teresa is a Traitor.
I don't feel like you're a Traitor. Yeah.
I feel like you're a Faithful.
Strategically, for your own benefit,
that's your...go-to now, mate.
Dirk, he needs to save himself tonight.
So his only chance of doing that is Teresa.
Start talking around. I'll see what I can get as well.
Alright? I'll see who's in here.
Alright, mate.
This is a pivotal moment, a monumental moment,
in the game right now.
Let's have a little bit of a chatty-poos.
What about over here?
And the reason is there's not only a game being played
but there's also a popularity contest.
Alright.
Am I OK to join? Come on!
Alright. (LAUGHS) You're a part of this too.
Teresa is driving that.
I still absolutely believe that Kate is a Traitor.
I think Kate's going with Dirk.
Yeah, Kate's going with Dirk.
And she's been after Dirk for a while, correct?
Yeah. Yeah, I think we all have been, really.
OK.
It looks and sounds like everybody's on the same page
with voting out Dirk.
But Matt is a snake at this game.
If he's still gunning for me, I'm just gonna get rid of him.
OK, Matt? Yeah? Yeah.
What are you doing? Matt? What are you doing?
Because I need you to jump on board here.
It's not working because it's not right.
I'll come with you.
I think Teresa feels threatened.
She knows I'm onto her and she's doing everything she can
to take me off her track.
Your theory is incorrect. Understand.
Do you understand that? I understand!
Good, because you need to jump on board, bro.
You're on a one-way train to absolutely nowhere with yours.
I understand.
So I've told Teresa that I'm not voting for her tonight.
But she didn't know I had my fingers crossed behind my back.
(LAUGHS)
Is Teresa on your radar at all?
She's not NOT on my radar. Uh-huh.
Well, we just kind of said Dirk.
Kate, do you still have suspicions of Teresa or not?
Of course. Always. OK.
I don't know if now's the chance
where we stick together and fight back?
Then Teresa's gone and we break up the clique.
Banishment tonight, it's more important to me than ever.
I'm gonna sway the momentum and send home a Traitor in Teresa.
I need six votes to do it.
So let's see if the Italian Stallion can lace up the gloves
and go a couple more rounds tonight, hey?
(LAUGHS)
Good evening.
Good evening, Rodger. Well...
..10 more silver bars into the pot
since we all last met here.
Anyone keeping tabs on the total?
$158,000.
Speaking of keeping tabs,
my fellow fan of a fashionable turtleneck, Mark...
..hmm, he was very good at keeping tabs as well.
On Traitors.
Much like his haircut,
his instincts were razor-sharp.
(CONTESTANTS CHUCKLE)
So sharp that unfortunately he was cut from the game.
Wonder who'll step up tonight to take the lead.
Before we get on with it, just a reminder
that our resident sharpshooter, Kate,
has protection
from tonight's banishment and also tonight's murder.
Wonder if that fact changed anyone's vote tonight.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, theories and even conspiracies.
Who'd like to kick us off? Good evening!
Hi!
Obviously my name's out there quite a lot tonight.
It's not a fun feeling.
It was also, to be quite honest, quite surprising.
I will start off by saying,
yeah, I know that there has been some things
that I may have said and done that could be suspicious.
I will own that.
I'm terrified of being murdered.
I'm sure most people are.
I did not get that impression today at the Shield Challenge.
When I said, "I want that Shield,"
you were, like, "Oh, why do you need it?"
And I was, like, "Well, because I don't want to be murdered."
And your response to that was... I said, "I forgot about that."
"Oh, yeah, murder. I forgot about that."
Yeah.
Now, I feel like only a murderer
could forget the fact
that people are getting murdered.
100%. And I will 100% own that I said that as well.
As soon as I did, I was, like, "That's not gonna sound good."
So, look, it didn't sound good. No.
And I apologise,
but I don't really have too much else to go off right now.
If you decide to vote for me,
that is 100% your choice.
But you will be breaking your winning streak
and it will show just how much you have all been relying on Mark
to find the Traitors for you.
I...
Without, like, laying a guilt trip,
I don't want to go back to that pack mentality
where we were sending the wrong people home
and that is exactly where we're kind of going.
Yeah, Kate, you were at the top of my list, darl,
and if you hadn't got that Shield today,
your name would be plastered all over.
And, um... I mean, I'm still very suspicious.
I'm just really intrigued
that Teresa has thrown my name out and Matt's name out.
We're the only two people who have accused you.
Like, were you gonna give any reasons as to why you think it's me?
Because of your attitude change.
And that's what we went off.
We watched Angus change, then we watched Claire change.
But I don't think you could judge everybody
on how the last two Traitors have been.
We can't imagine that every Traitor
is going to act exactly the same.
For example, I think you're absolutely a Traitor,
and you haven't been nervous once.
Oh, but I am. I just hide it much better than you do.
So two or three names - maybe one that's ineligible -
have been thrown out there.
Are they the only ones? Is everyone thinking the same thing?
I think this'll be a quick one tonight.
Yes, we're probably on the right page at this point in time.
Dirk or Teresa.
Bigger picture,
if we can think about momentum and numbers now.
We're down to 11 people right now.
I feel like there's packs and cliques going on
and there's little popularity contests.
Matt, I am suspicious of you.
And I'll be very surprised where you vote tonight -
whether you are still 100% on Teresa
or whether you change your vote.
If I can just...
Because you did not vote for either Angus or Claire.
Uh, you wanna know where I'm voting?
I feel like if we don't get out Teresa tonight,
the momentum gains in this little pack
and we 'outcasts', per se, who are not in the clique,
get picked off every week.
She doesn't have to influence a lot of people.
All she has to do is talk to Fi, so...
Huh.
(DIRK LAUGHS)
That just spreads like wildfire.
I'm OK to put my name on the chopping block.
I just was fighting hard for you guys.
I hope you can learn from it
and actually have some weight to what I'm saying.
I just feel like I've walked into this room
with a name, and once again I feel like I'm changing.
Yeah. Because I'm, like, so unsure.
And the only thing I am sure on
is all the things that Matt has said.
Like, I'm sorry, babe, but, like, it does add up.
What adds up? What...
Like, all the slips that you've had in this room.
And I get that you're under pressure in this room.
But... (SIGHS) It's just a lot.
Matt, it's not necessarily what you're doing,
it's the way you're doing it.
I don't see any other Faithful
behaving that way.
You know how I've been on your side
and I've been so open and honest with you.
You have, mate. Yeah.
Mate, I feel like I can't help you anymore.
And you keep saying 'cliques' and, like 'popularity contests'.
It's not about that! It is not that.
It's about having a connection with people in the room
and wanting to go far with them.
I am in complete awe of the way that you have handled yourself tonight.
OTHERS: Yeah. I just think you are incredible.
But you...
..are absolute chaos in my eyes.
I am in complete awe of the way that you have handled yourself tonight.
OTHERS: Yeah. But you...
..are absolute chaos in my eyes.
I did come in here with Dirk sort of as my number one.
Because of all these other things
that people are telling me that he's done
and I haven't really seen that firsthand.
But I do keep seeing this chaos coming from you, Matt.
You could have good intentions, but it's the execution
that's just putting everyone on the back foot.
I do have... I do have good intentions.
Why would I speak so passionately if I'm a Traitor?
'Cause you believe the lie you're telling yourself.
Matt, I'm Faithful.
No, there's heaps of red flags.
She's voted both Traitors. You have not.
Yeah. I had Angus on my radar. Yeah, but you didn't vote for him.
Yes, because I kept him there to get clues on the other one...
That's nuts, by the way.
Like, keeping a Traitor around
in the hopes that they'll, what?
Yeah, out another Traitor.
We don't have that sort of time on our hands, unfortunately, Matt.
We are getting down in numbers.
I've always been on you. That's...that's...
Yeah, but you've also been around, trying to convince everyone.
In fact, tonight, you did, darl -
after we had a conversation in the car and I said, "Get on board."
And you were, like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got it.
"Teresa, we cool. We cool."
We're not cool!
You said you were gonna come in with a different name.
I was in the back seat.
Yeah, I did think that, 100%. Yeah!
So I've got Dirk or Teresa. They're the only two.
So you're gonna vote for me and then tell me to vote for Teresa?
No, I'm not voting for you. I'm voting for Teresa.
Oh, we're back to square one.
Yeah, exactly.
(SIGHS)
Couple of strong names out there.
Maybe a third.
You will each write down the name of the person
you think is a Traitor
and should be banished.
It's now time to vote.
OK, now it's time to reveal your votes
and ultimately, who will be banished tonight.
Let's start with someone whose name
was tossed around quite a bit tonight - Dirk.
Hi!
This is not where I thought this vote was going tonight,
but we're just constantly going in circles
and there's no end game in sight.
So...Matt.
I just didn't appreciate that your advice to me
was to vote for Teresa
which would, in turn, make me look even more unpopular.
Nigel.
There's one name in particular that
I feel is hindering us.
I'm sorry, but, Matt...
..you are on the block.
Sorry, Matt, but you're getting my vote tonight.
And let's hear from Matt.
Teresa.
Marielle, you're next.
Traitor or not, we just need a clear vision.
I came in here with Dirk's name.
But I just don't think that I can ignore
your presence here, Matt.
I'm sorry.
So, Paul?
You should have kept your mouth shut and just let it go.
Unfortunately... Sorry, Matt.
Kate?
For me, today at the challenge,
you not acknowledging that murder is something to even be worried about
was, like, the icing on the cake of something
I already had instincts about.
Fi, your vote.
That comment still has me a little bit shaken.
You will be explaining yourself. I shall.
But, Matt, you've got my vote.
Teresa?
Matt, I'm so glad you'll stop wasting everybody's time.
And lucky last, Lewis.
It is really great to have your convictions
and stick to it, but you're turning a blind eye everywhere else.
I'm sorry it had to come to this, bro.
Well, pretty comprehensive vote tonight.
Perhaps not the result we thought at the beginning of the night.
So it is done. Matt, if you wouldn't mind joining me up here...
Sure.
..where one final question remains.
Matt, are you Faithful or, indeed, a Traitor?
I am Faithful.
That makes no sense.
It doesn't make sense at all.
He didn't even vote for Traitors.
The Traitors misdirected y'all again!
Yeah. Just sayin'.
(POPS TONGUE)
Well, Faithful, the Traitors have tied you up in knots again.
The fact remains for one of you,
your death warrant will be signed tonight.
Top 10. Woot-woot!
Yeah. (CHUCKLES)
It was not a fun night for me.
NIGEL: Like I said, mate, better to have you in the game.
I don't know what I said or what I did,
but I somehow changed everyone's mind.
I don't know where the hell that came from.
I never wanna be put in that position again.
So I need to clear my name, but first I need to survive the night.
Everyone just changed vote.
Mm-hm. Which I'm glad we did.
Yeah, look, me too. I just don't wanna look at that!
Oh, I don't want to either. Should I do it?
You're gonna have to read it, 'cause I don't have my glasses.
(SIGHS) I just don't want to! I don't...
Just let us have a night of murder!
Yes, exactly! Stop!
(SIGHS)
(READS) "Traitors,
"your numbers are dwindling.
"The Faithful are growing in confidence
"and you're in dire need of reinforcements.
"Instead of murder, you will recruit one Faithful to join your ranks.
"Although they will have the right to refuse,
"should they accept, the new blood
"will become a Traitor immediately.
"Cordially yours, Rodger.
"P.S. Choose wisely."
Right.
OK, let's think about this.
Let's go around the room.
Kate?
(CHUCKLES)
Ohh...
So Kate could be someone that if she accepts,
and then she gets voted out next banishment...
There's no real advantage to that.
But it makes the Faithfuls feel like they've got another Traitor.
True.
But then it takes a lot of heat off Teresa.
True.
Everyone is suspicious of Teresa.
She might be a good one to leave.
Potentially. Yeah, I agree. I agree.
Fi? Nuh.
(OWL HOOTS)
What about...
Dirk? Dirk?
(LAUGHS)
(SIGHS)
He's under the spotlight.
'Cause I think everyone is gonna vote for Kate next.
If everyone votes for Kate and she comes out as a Faithful,
would that point suspicion at Dirk?
I don't know.
Alex?
Will she accept?
I don't know if she'll accept it.
Mmm, that's so risky.
The only other person
that I would even consider
would be Lewis.
Alex and Lewis just are so NOT under suspicion.
They would be my two.
I would love to be at the end with Alex,
to basically use her as cannon fodder
to protect the two of us.
I'd prefer to push...
..someone else in front of the train.
No, I agree!
(CHUCKLES)
Let's try Alex.
Let's just do it. Yep.
Should we just do it? Yep.
You've got... Shall I do it?
Yes.
(READS) "You have been chosen to join the Traitors.
"Do you accept this offer or refuse?
"The Traitors."
Look, I honestly thought I was gonna be murdered.
Oh, my God.
But the Traitors asked me to be a Traitor.
I feel like the Traitors have a massive advantage,
because they don't get murdered off every night.
And, you know, no-one suspects me at the moment anyway.
I'm the sweet, innocent girl, so...
And that's probably why they chose me.
That's where they're wrong.
This completely changes the whole game.
It completely changes my whole game.
What is the best way of surviving to the end
and winning that money?
Is it Traitor or Faithful?
At the end of the day, it's a game and I have what it takes to win.
RODGER: Tomorrow night,
will she or won't she...
Alex, for me, is someone that I want to get to the end of this game with.
..join Nigel and Marielle in Traitors Tower?
I have this, like, dirty little secret.
And what happens at breakfast...
Oh, my God!
..will rock the Faithful...
This sucks. ..to their core.
What the heck is going on?
This is the worst thing that could possibly happen at this point.
