Meliodas' crew is attacked by Holy Knights!

Meliodas is sealed inside a Goddess Amber,

while Veronica, Elizabeth's older sister, loses her life in the battle.

With the subsequent appearance of Helbram,

the Sins' backs were against the wall!

But, just then, the seal is broken

and Meliodas appears, covered in pitch-black marks!

I feel hot. My insides, they're...

How did he escape from the amber?

How dare you!

Are you kidding me?

A casual wave caused such a huge blast?

Oh, no!

Super Recovery Spell!

-I owe you one. -What happened

to "it's impossible for anything to break free from the Goddess Amber"?

I don't know, but he's giving off disturbing magical energy...

It's as if...

This is a tale of ancient times,

when the human and non-human worlds had not yet split.

Long ago, the Holy Knights joined with the three other races

and drove the demons into the shadows.

With the passage of time, this war, known as the Holy War,

has faded from the memory of men.

But the Holy War is crying out once again.

It demands the eradication of the Seven Deadly Sins!

EPISODE 13 THE ANGEL OF DESTRUCTION

That's some seriously bad news.

-Hey, Jericurl! -It's Jericho!

Sorry, but I had you restore me as well.

Spell Beads, huh? You've got some fun toys.

When did you...

Pay attention!

Are you really the Captain?

Sir Meliodas?

Elizabeth, are you okay?

Hawk, what in the world is happening to Sir Meliodas?

Hell if I know! Is that really Meliodas?

S-sir Meliodas?

What's this? How did this happen?

I'm certain that he was sealed away in that Goddess Amber.

I wouldn't if I were you.

I don't have time for our little tiff anymore.

What did you say?

Judging from your appearance, you've--

If I might revise my opinion?

You seem to be fundamentally different to the likes of Guila and Jericho.

What a happy accident this is!

You've been blended from the very beginning, haven't you?

This mana is in a class of its own...

It's nothing like the New Generation,

who were infused with Demon blood later in life.

It's no wonder that the Goddess Amber couldn't contain you.

Oh, well!

I'm more interested in testing you a bit further, if you don't mind!

This stir of immense bloodlust within you is wonderful!

I suppose I should go all-out in my own humble way, then!

Oh, dear! I've cut him clean in half!

Ah, those black marks moved and protected you?

To think you shrugged off a blow from my Holy Tree sword...

You're quite the specimen!

But how will you fare against this, I wonder?

A palpable hit! Yay!

Ah, how interesting!

Although your mana levels have been boosted,

your Full Counter ability has been lost.

Is it the result of you losing your faculties,

or being a completely different personality?

This merits further study!

How very fascinating!

What's this tremendous mana I'm sensing?

It's on par with Sir Helbram's.

I suppose I should go babysit Guila.

Wait one damn minute!

You're just going to leave?

You used your magical ability against an unresisting opponent

and nearly killed an innocent civilian!

She's a criminal who plotted to overthrow the Kingdom.

That girl who risked herself to save a civilian,

or a pill bug bastard... Who's the criminal here?

A-a pill bug, you say?

What are these tremors?

My goodness, how magnificent!

However, you cannot defeat my Link.

It's similar to but entirely different from what your friend Ban does.

His Snatch steals people's power without their consent

and is rather vulgar.

Whereas, my Link allows me to borrow abilities

from those who have given me their consent to do so.

So, no matter how powerful your abilities are...

Case in point!

Amazing, your abilities are growing!

So, you haven't completed your transformation yet, eh?

Very well. I will lend him a little.

I was concerned there for a moment.

Still, to be able to stop that runaway state in a single blow,

Grand Master Hendrickson is a frightening fellow indeed.

With that, the Seven Deadly Sins have been successfully eliminated.

Now, if we return with the sword, Meliodas, and the princess,

it's mission accomplished.

Oh, no...

I'm the only warrior left in play, huh?

If you don't want to become pressed ham, shoo!

Hey!

I suppose I should retrieve him before he runs wild again.

I don't believe it...

Is he really going to...

Sir Meliodas...

Sir Melio--

Quiet. You two can still run, right?

This is seriously messed up.

Wait, you're abandoning Sir Meliodas?

P-put me down!

I'll be happy to, once we're in the clear!

I've never seen Ban this freaked out before!

That Holy Knight is really that dangerous?

Griamore! Big Sister Veronica!

Shamefully fleeing in defeat, as criminals are inclined to do!

However, I won't let you escape.

I shall deal with you once I've retrieved the hero.

Well, well, so you're alive, Diane the Serpent Sin!

Captain...

Um, hello? I do hate to interrupt your touching reunion,

but perhaps you might be amenable to a deal with me?

Was it you?

If you surrender the criminal and the princess to me,

I won't lay a hand on you or your old--

Did you do this?

Oh, my! Here is today's Helbram Horoscope!

"You should not engage in foolish, rash thinking today."

Your Gideon, alone, is no match for my Link!

Did you hurt the Captain?

Withdraw, Helbram.

But I have yet... to retrieve Meliodas... and the princess!

Withdraw immediately!

Understood!

Mother Earth Catastrophe!

Here it comes!

Retreat at top speed!

What the hell? What the hell?

Stop talking, just move those trotters!

So, this is a sacred treasure's power?

Or rather, the full power of a Sin when drawn forth by a sacred treasure...

Don't stop, Master! Run!

The Link has been severed.

Surely Sir Helbram hasn't been...

See? Close call, huh?

Yeah...

Hey!

Sir Meliodas!

Yo.

Sir Melio--

That makes us squaresies for before, okay?

Kay...

Sir Meliodas!

Sorry about that.

What's that for?

Sir Meliodas...

Sir Meliodas!

Um, Elizabeth?

Yes?

Wear some underwear.

-Captain! -Hands off the goods!

That cut isn't bothering you too much, is it, King?

Well, maybe a little...

Don't make a fuss over a little scratch like that.

What's that?

Griamore!

You're okay!

I am a failure as a Holy Knight.

I failed even Princess Veronica's final order to protect you.

And yet, I... I...

Thank you for always caring for Big Sister Veronica.

Please bury her on the shore of Lake Pienes.

She loved it there.

The three of us used to have fun there all the time.

I will stop the Holy Knights no matter what.

Just you watch me.

When did you become so strong?

Did I catch you off-guard, me being plus-sized and all?

No, I'm glad you're not hurt.

Howzer, take the old man and that pill bug and start running.

Run?

Or do you still want to capture me?

Until next time, then.

Don't let anyone else kill you before then.

Do you think he plans to go back to the Kingdom?

Beats me. It looks like the Holy Knights' isn't a monolithic organization, though.

More importantly, Captain, where's your sword?

I guess it was stolen.

But...

But, isn't that sword important? You're okay with that?

I'm not okay with it at all. This situation is serious.

But Elizabeth, you're okay, and that's what matters.

It doesn't matter that I'm okay?

What're you talking about? How could you not be okay?

I sure as hell ain't.

You're surprisingly tough.

I'm craving pork...

How insensitive!

Goodness, one moment later, and I would've been in trouble.

Still, I have my spoils, so I will count it as a win.

One of the keys to resurrecting the race of Demons...

A fragment of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness.

The day that terror will return to Britannia is nigh.

What?

Veronica is dead?

Apparently, she and Griamore met untimely ends

when the Seven Deadly Sins attacked Vaizel without warning.

No way! Griamore wouldn't die that easily!

And how are we going to report this to Princess Margaret?

Where's Grand Master Dreyfus?

Holed up in his chambers.

You want to go home, huh?

We're training you for the Holy War that is imminent!

Please, let me... go home.

Just keep your mouth shut and do as you're told.

Hendrickson has gained more Holy Knights these past few days.

All of them, New Generation.

The equal balance of power between the Hendrickson and Dreyfus factions

is breaking down.

Is this another sign of the Holy War?

The brisk morning air is bracing against my pork rind!

I guess I'll do some training

based on what I learned in the battle the other day!

Big Sister Veronica, rest in peace.

Just you wait, I'll bring back laughter to this realm,

just like there was when we were young.

Even if it costs me my life.

Don't you worry.

Trust me, we'll be able to take back the Kingdom.

You have the Captain with you. And your other comrades, too.

Comrades?

Yep. You're one of us now.

Are you screwing around, King?

Take this seriously! Attack like you want to kill me!

Kill you, huh? Why?

Because I want to smash the Holy Knights

and take back the Kingdom as soon as possible.

Take back the Kingdom?

I'm surprised to hear that from you.

I thought you didn't care about anyone but yourself.

Ain't it the same with you?

I suppose.

But I have my own special objective for helping Diane.

I have one of those, too.

We'll save the Kingdom,

and I'll take the Trumpet of Cernunnos that's hidden underneath it as my reward.

The Trumpet of Cernunnos?

The ritual item used to speak with Goddesses?

What could you possibly want with that? Wait, are you...

Yep. I'm going to have them bring back Elaine!

Ban...

So, keep going! Bring it on!

Damn, I guess I have to accept him now. Right, Elaine?

You're worried about the Captain, right?

I thought so. Deep down, I'm a mess, too.

The way the Captain looked... It was like--

One more word, I dare you! I'll knock all your teeth out!

B-but surely you can see it, too!

Like hell! The Captain's nothing like those monsters!

I'll never believe that!

Ban...

The Captain said to follow him.

He said it to a crappy man

who's lived a crappy life since the day he was born

and was shunned wherever he went!

The only two easygoing weirdos like that in this world

are him and Elaine.

It's hard to believe the Holy Knights have gotten that powerful.

I guess I can't pull my punches from now on.

Too sweet!

I guess I have to give up on that.

"When shooting stars streak across the same sky in the form of a cross,

Britannia will face her darkest hour.

This is a trial, preordained since ancient times,

and the herald of a holy war

between the guiding hand of the light and the bloodline of the darkness."

-Captain... -Sir Meliodas...

I promise you.

For the sake of the person who's always fought at my side,

I'll put an end to this war that's been fought again and again

for 3000 years!

You have some nerve, showing your face here.

What do you want?

Veronica is dead.

The Holy Knights?

She was killed by the Sins.

Impossible.

They, along with Elizabeth, who is now a wanted fugitive,

are plotting to overthrow the Kingdom.

The day is almost here when you will be struck down by the gods.

No, it is the Seven Deadly Sins who will die.

Gilthunder, you traitorous Holy Knight.

I will never, ever forgive you.

Princess Margaret,

I will gladly take every curse that you throw at me.
