You!

I am the leader of Dongmyoungchun League Dae Joyoung!

Dae Joyoung, it is you! You are alive!

I`ve come to kill the traitor that brought the country to ruins.

What are you waiting for? Kill him! Kill Da Joyoung!

Sa Bugu,

I will send you ro hell myself!

Sure.

I wouldn`t bother fighting anyone else.

Even Goguryeo`s greatest warrior Yang Manchun proved no match for me. And if I kill you Dae Joyoung, I will be the greatest!

You don`t even know who or what are you fighting for. You don`t deserve to be called a warrior.

Silence!

I fought for Goguryeo and obeyed heaven`s command!

Heaven`s command?

If indeed you`ve bee walking the righteous path you will be able to defeat me here and now.

But if you have been walking the path of greed and evil, you will die a merciles death in my hands.

and that will be the heaven`s command!

Heaven commands no mercy to the traitor that betrayed the country and sold off his people.

I was faithful to myself, that is all.

Kill me now.

I just want to die a warrior.

Strike! Kill me now!

You`ve commited too heavy a crime for me to punish you alone.

Kill me now and let me die with dignity!

-No! -General Sa Bugu!

This can`t be Sa Bugu!

Are you certain it was Dae Joyoung?

I saw him with my own eyes!

Dae Joyoung?

How could Dae Joyoung be alive?

The people are still dancing in the streets.

Everyone is cheering Sa Bugu`s death.

We shouldn`t slow down. Let`s get rid of Bu Kiwon and Shin Sung while we are at it.

We still have a long way to go. We can`t risk exposing our weakness by rushing.

We have to close in on them without giving them toom to escape.

What is certain is that the ball is in our court now. I can`t beleive you`re not drinking. I can`t get through this sober.

-What is certain is that the ball is in our court now. -I can`t beleive you`re not drinking. I can`t get through this sober.

-No, you have to be alert and focused right now. -Dae Joyoung is alive!

Dae Joyoung us the leader of the Dongmyoungchun League! (Bu Kiwon)

Sire...!

You don`t understand.

I kill Dae Joyoung`s mother. He is here to take revenge. He is here to kill me!

Sire, the fight is just getting started. (Shin Sung)

But what can we possibly do when Sa Bugu is dead?

I have a plan.

You do?

You have a plan to kill Dae Joyoung and destroy the Dongmyoungchun League?

Yes,

Just don`t set foot outside the protectorate compound for now.

Dae Joyoung won`t be able to harm you as long as you`re in here.

I`ll do whatever you say. So please find him and kill him!

They`ve begun to reveal themselves. Once we know more about them,

it will be over for Dae Joyoung and his league.

I see, I see.

I guess Dae Joyoung is an intimidating character after all...

..to have compelled you King Bojang, to come to me.

General Sa Bugu`s treacherous death has hit too close to home.

Sa Bugu...

The people are jumping for joy over the news that Dae Joyoung is back.

I can`t say with certainty that you and I won`t end up like Sa Bugu.

Who am I?

I am Xue Rengui! (Xue Rengui)

I destroyed Goguryeo and conquered the northern territory!

I`ve fought countless battles and brought many foes to their knees.

It will take more than a bunch of assassins to intimidate me.

Do you have a plan to combat them? (King Bojang:28th King of Goguryeo)

-General, it`s Shin Sung. -Come in.

You have a guest. I will return later.

No,

-I`ll leave. -No, please stay.

No, no, if I can`t be of help, I shouldn`t get in the way.

Have a good talk.

Please send her out as well.

My man, she`s a mute that can`t even move her lips. It`s alroght for us to talk.

No, you must send her out as well.

Oh, for heaven sakes....

Geumlan, would you mind leaving us for a while?

Sa Bugu was susoicious of Tsui Sing Lau to the end.

-I thought Tsui Sing Lau was cleard of all suspicion. -No.

Sa Bugu just couldn`t pursue the investigation because Mimosa was blackmailing him.

Mimosa was blackmailing him? You mean Mimosa was controlling him?

That`s right.

You are hugely mistaken if you think Mimosa is just an ordinary dusiness man.

Do you have any physical proof of these allegations?

No, but I assure you my intuition is more than any physical proof.

The Dongmyoungchun League and Tsui Sing Lau are somehow connected.

General, call Li Kaigu back.

He`s the only one who can contend with Dae Joyoung at this point.

I wish I could bring Li Kaigu back.

But Khitans are busy cultivating Yingzhou right now. He`s in no position to help us even if I asked.

My brother will convince Li Kaigu.

-Shin Hong? -Yes, general!

Dae Joyoung and his league won`t last long with Li Kaigu and Shin Hong here.

You`re right. Bring Li Kaigu back!

Yes, general I will.

Li Kaigu...

Reinstate Li Kaigu and Shin Hong...

Li Kaigu?

They`re bringing Li Kaigu back to replace Sa Bugu?

-Yes. -Good.

Let`s consider this an opportunity to take revenge for our last defeat.

Yes, and that bastard took Lady Chulin from you. (Heuk Sudol) (Gulsabiwu)

When I think of your heartache, I...

I don`t care who replaces Sa Bugu. Our plans do not change.

Until Bu Kiwon, Shin Sung and Xue Rengui is dead and this land is forever rid of Andong Protectorate,

our fight will continue no matter who shows up next.

General Dae Jungsang just arrived.

Father,

We are going back to Goguryeo Village in the morning.

Have you given some thought?

About marrying Princess Sukyoung.

I already expressed my feelings.

Like you said, you have to fight and reclaim the country. (Dae Jungsang: Dae Joyoung`s father)

But you are also creating history when you get married, have children, and allow your descendants live on.

Lady Sukyoung is one of the very few royal Goguryeo has left on this land.

This marriage would be tremendously meaninful in that the dwindling royal bloodline of Goguryeo would be continued.

I don`t want to pressure you, but I hope you will consider cafully and make a wise decision.

I understand Father.

Joyoung, this is a battlefield.

Don`t let your guard down for a moment.

Have a safe trip back, father.

A little bit harder. Push a little bit harder my lady!

Harder, a little bit harder! Push a little bit harder, my lady!

Push a little bit harder, my lady! Almost there. Push a little bit!

Push, Push, my lady!

-How is she? -She`s still in labor.

What child is putting the mother through so much pain!

-General! -Go on!

Congratulations. It`s a boy!

And the mother? How is Chulin?

They are both well.

You`re a grandfather now.

-Congratulations, Khan! -Congratulations, Khan!

Congratulations to you, General Li!

You did well. Thank you.

(Chulin:Li Jinzhong`s daugther)

Now I have a precious wife and child. (Li Kaigu)

Thanks to you, I have a family.

I thought of a name for our son. Geom-it means "sword".

So he would be strong and straight as a sword.

Geom...Geom...

He is my son...Our son...

Promise me one thing--

that you would always protect us.

Yes, I promise.

Don`t ever leave us...

so that our Geom doesn`t grow up fatherless...

I`ll never leave my family. I`ll be right here.

I will proctect you and Geom.

Sa Bugus been killed.

Brutally murdered in broad daylight in the middle of the plaza.

This is not my concern anymore.

General Xue sent me a personal letter. (Shin Hong)

-He makes an ardent request to convince you to come back. -I`ve done my job for General Xue and Tang.

Now I will live only for my tribe and family.

But general.

the time has come for you to come to the fore.

I don`t want to talk about this. Aren`t you going to pour me a drink?

I`m a father now. Here, let me pour you one first.

Sa Bugu`s killer is Dae Joyoung.

Dae Joyoung is alive.

That`s impossible. I ripped him into pieces with my sword and he died a wreched death.

But he is alive swinging his sword of revenge.

You have to go back.

You are the only one who can contend with Dae Joyoung.

Don`t ever leave us...

so that our Geom doesn`t grow up fatherless...

Have you made a decision?

My family is more important than anything right now.

General...

I`ve given my word to Chulin. Put the matter to rest.

-But you must go back to Goguryeo. I will not be convinced.

You must go back. It is your destiny and your duty.

That`s ridiculous!

-How is going back to Goguryeo my destiny and my duty? -Because you are a Goguryeoan.

Because Goguryeo is your homeland.

What are you talking about? I am a Goguryeoan?

It`s true.

The dagger in you possession is a symbol of Goguryeo`s Bu clan.

That can`t be. You`re mistaken. I can`t be a Goguryeoan.

There is no way!

Your father was a brave Goguryeoan general. But a treacherous event took place.

A traitor like you does not belong in Goguryeo! You must die!

Traitors won`t be forgiven no matter who they are.

-You or anyone else! -Who is the traitor?

You`re protecting an enemy`s agent!

Give me death...

Do not forgive this wretched son... Father....Mother....!

I will fight for my parents. And you fight for Goguryeo.

This is our regrettable fate, my friend.

Jigwang!

All I could do then was to take the chiled and go.

And that chiled has reappeared in front of me as a brave young warrior.

How could this be anything but a sign from heaven?

Who is the man that killed my father?

Dae Jungsang.

Dae Jungsang?

Yes, it`s Dae Joyoung`s father Dae Jungsang.

Dae Jungsang...Dae Jungsang...!

What about my mother?

She shearched everywhere for you like a woman who`s lost her mind,

and she came upon a cliff and...

Sire, Dae Jungsang`s son Dae Joyoung is on a mission to reclaim Goguryeo.

If he succeed in snuffing out the protectorate and kills off Xue Rengui, it is entirely possible.

But sire, it is you who must reclaim Goguryeo. Not Dae Joyoung but Li Kaigu must rule the land.

You cannot lose the country to your archenemy.

Make a bold decision.

But what about Yingzhou?

I have so much work to do here.

Until Khitan has enough stregnth to overpower Tang, Yingzhou will never belong to the khitans.

You must claim Goguryeo if only to help the Khitans. That is the just and great cause for your return to Liaodong.

(Chan`an, Tang)

Give Yingzhou territory to the Khitans? Never!

-But the Imperial House has already given its word. -Your Majesty,

Yingzhou is an important bridge that connects the east and west of the northern territory. (Li Wen)

It is not for the uncivilized Khitans to have.

But I`ve given my word already.

You`d have the Emperor of Tang break his promise? (Li Zhi:Emperor of Tang)

You must.

We cannot take a huge loss to save face.

Oh dear...

What is your opinion? Does anyone have a suggestions?

Perhaps we could install a governorate in Yingzhou.

A governorate?

Give the governorship to the Khan of Khitan, but dispatch a director to monitor the administration. (Zhao Wenhui)

The result will be Identical to subjugation of Khitan by Tang.

It is an excellent idea.

We could keep our word amd protect our territory, Your Majesty.

But Your Majesty, this is not the to be worried about Yingzhou.

We must keep our focus on protecting Andong Protectorate right now.

That`s right.

The situation in Liaodong is much more serious. with Dongmyoungchun League running loose. (Wu Sansu)

There is always a problem in Andong Protectorate. What happened to the soldiers we dispatched to Liaodong?

If they are on schedule, they should reach Liaodong by tomorrow.

I undestand a warrior was specially chosen to capture Dae Joyoung.

Yes, Your Majesty. He is a talented general named Liu Guanzhong who previously repressed the rebellions in the boarder country.

Liu Guanzhong?

He is a warrior of execptional talent and intellect.

We chose him after a much deliberation to remove Dae Joyoung once and for all.

Liu Guanzhong....

I`m sure he is capable if general Li Wen chose him.

Dongmyoungchun League must be captured and destroyed this time.

Rest assured it will be, Your Majesty.

I decide who serves Andong Protectorate! How could they allow Li Wen to choose a director for this protectorate?

This is ridiculous!

It`s a sign that our reputatiion is fallen hit the floor. (Hongpei)

What`s this man`s name? Liu Guanzhong? (Xue Rengui)

Yes, general.

-He is a man of impressive reputation -If Li Wen chose him, (Shin Sung) (Bu Kiwon)

he will give us quite a headeche.

This is a challenge against my authority!

What the...

Where is Li Kaigu? When is he coming?

Be patient general. He will be here.

Liu Guanzhong...Darn it...

Welcome. I hope you had a pleasant trip.

Who are you men?

We have been sent by general Xue Rengui to greet you.

Then lead us. (Lui Guangzhong:A Tang General)

I`m afraid I cannot take your troops through the city gates right now.

Why not?

We are being watched by the Dongmyoungchun League.

If we enter in daylight, we will be exposing size of your army and other pertinent information.

Yes, I didn`t think that far.

Please have your troops wait here and enter the city in darknes. We will take you and the officials into the city now.

Very well.

-Wait here until nightfall.- Yes, general.

How much further?

-We are almost there. -Wait!

I understand these are dangerous assasins but must we enter the city throught the side gate.

The side gate...does not lead into the city.

What do you mean? Aren`t we going to Liaodong Fort?

Those who are coming to persecute my people are going to hell.

It`s Dongmyoungchun League!

This may not be so bad,General.

What are you talking about?

If we`re going to get help from the imperial court anyway we might as well get someone competent like Liu Guanzhong.

I agree, general.

And with Li Kaigu joining us soon, Dae Joyoung will be captured without fail.

General, he---he`s here! Liu Guanzhong is here!

So what if he`s here? Why are you making such a big fuss?

He`s here, but not all of him.

What do you mean? You mean his troops are not here yet?

No, we only have half of him.

So where is the other half of his regiment?

No, not his regiment. We only have half of Liu Guanzhong!

Half of Liu Guanzhong?

His head, no was it his body? Anyway he came in two pieces!

You mean Liu Guanzhong arrived dead?

Not only Liu Ganzhong but the whole entourahe is dead!

Unbelievable!

How could this be!

Killed upon arrival!

Andong Protectorate must be turned upside down by now.

And what about the people?

-All they can talk about is Dongmyoungchun League. -I`m sure they`re scared stiff.

We were like messengers of death out there. Right Joyoung?

Let me pour you a drink.

-I`ll pour you one, Sudol. -That`s alright!

I want Auhong yo pour mine.

I don`t seve just anyone. (Auhong)

Huh? I still think you`re the best.

You`re grossing me out.

No, really Auhong...Auhong... It sound kind of like cat`s cry.

My heart skips a beat when I hear cats at night.

This is not exactly pleasant, so please stop.

Come on, Auhong Pour me a glass.

Alright!

Ah, that`s good, pour me another.

-Is it me you like or the wine? -I like wine serving Auhong!

Good work today. Please drink and relaz now.

We couldn`t have conceived of this work if it weren`t for you.

You gave us all the information we need to intercept them.

I owe it to Geumlan.

Bu Kiwon and Shin Sung haven`t even set foot outside the protectorate compound.

But they will eventually.

And Geumlan will let us know the moment they do.

-How could they have known that they were coming? -The more I think about it the more puzzled I am.

Liu Guanzhong, with his mighty reputation, lost his head before he could set foot into Liaodong Fort.

He`s fearsome foe that Dae Joyoung...

Li Kaigu us the only one that can contend with him.

But we still haven`t heard a word from him. Oh, this is so frustrating...

Hong!

-Brother! -Welcome.

I take it no one knows that you`re here.

General Li and his men are in merchant`s disguise like you asked.

Good.

This is the only way we`re going to have an advantage over the Dongmyuomgchun League. (Shin Sung)

You must`ve been under so much stress. (Shin Hong)

I won`t get a good night`s sleep until Dae Joyoung is dead.

There is nothing that can`t be done if you and I work together.

That`s why I called on you. Now listen carefully.

If we`re going to kill Dae Joyoung and destroy the Dongmyoungchun League,

-we have to set a trap and lure them out. -I couldn`t agree more.

Who might they want most right now? It`s me and Lord Bu Kiwon.

Then?

I want you to set a trap from me. I will be the bait myself.

But that`s too dangerous.

-If anything goes wrong.. -It`s kill or be killed.

Dae Joyoung must be killed if I`m going to survive.

-But. -Don`t worry.

I fear nothing as long as I have you and Li Kaigu.

Tell me what you want us to do.

How did it go?

We are going to lure Dae Joyoung out to the plaza tonight.

No one knows that we`re here including (Li Kaigu)

the Dongmyoungchun League and Andong Protectorate.

if we don`t deliver a fatel blow now, this will become a drawn out battle.

Yes, I know.

Just lure them out. I`ll take care of Dae Joyoung.

Now listen very closely.

Welcome, Master Shin. Why are you alone today?

-I`m not here to drink. Call Mimosa for me. -I`m afraid he is busy.

I suggest he sees me now when I am here alone. He might have to deal with armed soldiers otherwise.

Very well, I will tell him you`re here.

-Shin Sung is here? -Yes, general.

And he`s demanding to see Mimosa.

Let`s not waste any time. We should wait for him outside and cut off his head! (Gulsabiwu) (Heuk Sudol)

Stay here, Joyoung, Sudol and I will take care of this.

-Wait...wait... a minute. -There is no time.

We have to get him while he is out!

Something isn`t right.

The man who was hidding in fear has suddenly come out swaggering.

Don`t over think this, or we`ll get nothing done.

Wait, wait a minute...

I can`t stay long. What can I do for you?

General Sa Bugu believed Tsui Sing Lau is Dongmyoungchun League`s headquarters.

I don`t care what Andong Protectorate thinks as long as it doesn`t intefere with my business.

I checked out your background. You use to make ships in Beakje Fort.

I don`t think that`s a crime. (Mimosa)

Your family lost everything when Beakje Fort was burned down. You don`t have the means to establish a huge business like Tsui Sing Lau on your own.

Tell me.

Who help you to set up Tsui Sing Lau?

Who is the backer supporting you from behind the scenes?

The Dongmyoungchun League.

Is that what you want to hear?

Are you playing with me?

I am the one who is being played with. A backer?

My backer is money.

Money that I earned by doing whatever it takes! That`s my backer that allows me to live without stooping to anyone!

Does that answer you question?

Now I must ask you to leave.

Send a message to General Dae at once. Tell him not to make an attempt on Shin Sung`s life tonight.

Then..?

It`s a trap.

He set a trap for us and he`s waiting for us to fall in. Go now. Go!

Yes sir!

-What do you mean Heuk Sudol has disappeared? -Some of the league members are missing too.

-I think he`s gone after Shin Sung. -That fool! I told him not to do this!

-I better go after him. -No!

-If this is a trap, we can`t let him fall in! -You can`t risk exposing the entire league.

That`s what they want!

Heuk Sudol that idiot!

Please be alright... Please come back in one piece!

Who are you?

Cant you tell? I`m Heuk Sudol.

Dongmyoungchun Leageu`s messenger of death.

First you open the gate of Pyongyang and caused the country to fall, and now you`re sucking the blood of your own people.

You worthless scum bag. Surrender your head!

Did you come alone? Where is Dae Joyoung?

What?

It`s a trap! Run!

-Don`t let them get away! After them! -Yes, sir! Follow me!

I expected nothing less from Li Kaigu!

He`s captured the Dongmyoungchun League bastards the moment he entered Liaodong Fort!

My only regret is having failed to capture Dae Joyoung.

No, no.

-What could you have done when the punk didn`t show up? -This is just the begginning of the fight.

and we got a head start.

All we need is confession from the men we have in custody and Dongmyoungchun League will be fully exposed.

Yes, yes!

Big shot Liu Guanzhon lost his head the moment he came here.

But now the tables are turned thanks to Li Kaigu!

Li Kaigu is the man!

Confess and you will live. Where is Dae Joyoung?

You`re just making this hard for youself. Talk.

Continue the torture until they are barely breathing!

-Joyoung... -I told you to stay outside.

Kill me instead. I can`t bear this guilt...

Sudol`s mistake is my mistake as his older brother. Take my life as well.

Get up from there.

Get up, I said.

Your mistake is my mistake as your oldest brother. If you have to die, so do I.

-Brother... -Brother...!

You don`t know how happy I am that you`re back.

So, do you have a plan to eliminate Dae Joyoung?

Yes, general.

Master Shin Sung devised a brilliant plan.

Shin Sung?

I`m very please with his recent work. Very pleased...

So tell me. What is this brilliant plan?

Tell me again.

-Who was behind this? -Shin Sung.

Shin Sung is behind everthing.

Shin Sung....

-What happened to our men that were captured? -They`re being put through terrible torture to exact information.

But they will never open their mouths.

But they will suffer pain greater than death.

First we will get them out. Then...

We will execute Shin Sung.
