Previously on The Amazing Race...
In Albania, Doug and Dylan
were spared elimination...
This is a non-elimination leg.
Oh, my God.
But will now face the consequences.
During the next leg of the race,
you will complete some kind of penalty.
With six legs down and five teams eliminated,
it's still anyone's race to win.
Ali and Joanna won the second leg.
You are team number one.
Chest bump!
And seemed poised as the team to beat.
They're super athletic and super fast.
We're doing some CrossFit in the desert, baby.
But even with some stumbles in recent legs...
the pro athlete moms continued to be a threat.
We're a threat, baby. We're a threat.
By leg four, everything was clicking
for Matt and Michelle.
They're all back there stuck on stupid.
In the next leg, the married couple
were in the Driver's Seat.
Don't hate the player. Hate the game.
They have strategized every move...
You're coming with us.
You're gonna go to the top of those stairs.
- Got it. - The first phase of this
crazy plan worked to perfection.
And reeled off
three dominating wins in a row.
Daisha and Dalton barely escaped elimination in the first leg.
We're still in the game, baby.
We're still in the frigging game.
But since then,
the dating couple steadily improved...
There it is. Yeah! Yes. Whoo!
And ruffled some feathers along the way...
- "Yah, yi, yan." - "Yah, yi..."
I see Daisha and Dalton giving them
all of the answers.
They just gave them everything.
To finish second for the last two legs.
- Congratulations. - Woo-hoo!
Anuar and Andrea brought
a diverse skill set onto the race...
I've been a first responder
for almost seven years now.
Honestly, I do make homemade dough quite often.
Paying off with strong finishes...
You are team number...
- two. - Oh, my God.
But also attracting notice from the other teams.
Anuar and Andrea... they've been kind of, you know.
Everywhere we go, they speak the language,
- and everywhere we go, they come in second place. - Yeah.
As the second half of the race begins,
the remaining eight teams are flown over 4,000 miles
to the island nation of Sri Lanka.
Now stand on Kuttiduwa Beach, where they'll face
a live Double U-Turn vote.
You will be making some important decisions today.
We are about to take part in a Double U-Turn vote.
I was shocked.
- We knew that it's gonna happen. - It was...
But it's never the same until
- the actual moment comes. - Yeah.
This is
a great opportunity
to slow your competitors down, forcing them
to do both sides of the Detour.
Doug and Dylan, since you arrived last
on the previous leg, your penalty is...
automatic U-Turn.
You will be pleased to know, however,
two more teams will have a U-Turn that they'll be facing.
That's just brutal.
So a total of three teams U-Turned.
Yours is automatic. The other two,
we're gonna vote for.
We were automatically U-Turned.
So that kind of scared me.
That shook our confidence a little bit.
We're up against some pretty tough racers,
but to have two other people along for the ride
gave us more of a fighting chance.
You're gonna take the voting board.
You're gonna have a discussion about who you want to vote for.
All right, this is really horrible.
What two teams can we compete with?
- No go on that. - No go, yeah.
We are protecting Anuar and Andrea.
- I think we are pretty certain on who we want to do. - Yeah.
We're not gonna U-Turn Ann-Marie and Riley.
- Not our friends. - They are Boss Lady Alliance.
We're definitely not doing Boss Ladies.
- No doubt about this one. - Yeah.
I don't know about this one.
On the table, on the table, on the table.
Let's not do that one. I like them.
Let's put this in the back.
We're convinced
that we're getting U-Turned
'cause we are just a stronger team.
- And we Driver's-Seated people. - And we... Yeah.
We just got to knock out
what's in front of us.
I'm not gonna be surprised to see us up there.
- Are you good with that? Okay. - I'm good with that, yeah.
Are you confident in that decision?
Well, now you're making me not confident.
We got to do what we got to do.
Everybody ready to vote?
We're gonna start
with Erin and Javi.
This was really tough for us.
It is just business.
Today we decided to U-Turn
Michelle and Matt and Ali and Joanna.
We know we're getting U-Turned.
Let's just get it out of the way.
Let's get to work.
It was never personal with the Driver's Seats.
It's not gonna be personal when it happens to us
in 90 seconds.
It will be a little personal.
Don't expect any help from the yellow team
- if it's on your board. - That's how I feel.
- Don't expect it. - So, let's...
Don't expect a self-drive help.
Don't expect a navigational help.
Not coming your way.
Any team that thinks that they're at the bottom
and they're a weaker team, they're foolish
for putting our name on the board,
but I know it's there, so...
Ali and I both knew we would show up
on the board at some point.
We just hoped that it wouldn't be the majority.
The first one that was put up, our name was on it.
That made us nervous.
Ali and Joanna?
They gave us the most work
in the Driver's Seat, so this is
equal pay... back
to our friends on our left.
And the other decision was just another strong team.
Joanna and I decided to U-Turn Daisha and Dalton
and Matt and Michelle.
- Conner and Garrett? - We placed third place last couple rounds.
There's two teams
that have been stopping us from getting first.
We picked Matt and Michelle and then Daisha and Dalton.
Sorry, guys.
For Daisha and Dalton, what was the logic there?
They've been beating us
by a considerable margin last couple rounds.
We just want to try to slow 'em down if we can.
Daisha and Dalton?
You have the strongest team
that everybody's trying to get out.
And then we did our other one
because we thought some other teams would vote for 'em.
We voted for Matt and Michelle and Anuar and Andrea.
We take that as a compliment, actually.
No. No.
- Doug and Dylan? - We looked at a couple of teams
that we thought we might be more competitive with
to get through the U-Turn.
Daisha and Dalton and Anuar and Andrea.
You think you can beat them to the mat?
Yep, we think we can.
Anuar and Andrea?
Daisha and Dalton getting targeted today.
I was about to, like, tear up.
We didn't realize that
we were being seen as such a threat.
- Michelle and Matt? - Both are very strong teams.
They should be flattered by our decisions.
Anuar and Andrea.
Ali and Joanna.
Michelle and Matt, you've got five votes.
Daisha and Dalton, you've got four votes.
Anuar and Andrea, you've got three votes.
So we come down to the final one.
We thought a lot of people were threatened by the top two teams.
We were pretty accurate with that.
We U-Turned Matt and Michelle
and Dalton and Daisha.
Daisha and Dalton,
you got five votes here.
Michelle and Matt, you have six.
You have both been targeted for a U-Turn today.
You've got to complete both sides of the Detour
along with Doug and Dylan.
Just knowing you have
so much more to do... it's a bad feeling.
You guys ready to race?
All right, your first clue is
down the end of the road there.
Everybody basically voted for us.
Everybody wants to win.
Game faces on.
They saw us as a threat
and they took their shot.
Sri Lanka is waiting for you.
We're gonna be fighting for our life
- this leg. - Surviving.
Good luck. Travel safe.
Go!
Sri Lanka is waiting for you.
- Go! - Oh, boy.
We were U-Turned
with Daisha and Dalton and Doug and Dylan.
Feels horrible even when you are expecting it.
Everything's intensified.
You know you have a lot
more to do than all the other teams.
We just knew we had to get to work.
- Yeah, over here. - Boom, bang, baby.
Ripping.
Detour. "Dry Out or Sell Out?"
Drying fish in the sun like this
on these mats takes out the moisture
and extends the shelf life
of this popular local food.
Gutted fish are soaked in large barrels
of salt water like this,
rinsed in the ocean, and then
laid out to dry on coconut fiber mats,
something teams must do, making sure
they use every square inch of available space as they go.
When a local fishmonger is pleased with their placement,
he'll hand over a clue.
The fastest way for fishermen
to sell their fish is at auctions like this.
In this Detour, teams must
pick up fish from a fisherman
and sell enough of his catch to make
5,000 rupees.
Once they've cashed in, they'll be let off the hook
and can keep on racing.
Which one are you doing first?
- Sell fish, I think. - Yeah.
We're doing Dry Out first.
- I think we should do Dry Out. - Yeah, same.
- "Dry out fish on drying mats." - You want to do the Dry Out?
- Let's Dry Out. We're gonna do Dry Out. - I'm doing Dry Out.
"Sell fish by the kilo and earn 5,000 rupees."
Let's do Dry Out. Come on.
There's less and less teams remaining,
and the competition is gonna get
worse and worse.
We know three teams are behind
with a Double U-Turn.
We need to go to the more physical challenge.
Dad, come on.
Right here, right here, right here.
Take it. Pick it up.
- Pick up one basket. - Time to sell.
We need to grab one basket, Pop.
Come on, let's go, go.
- All right, come on. - Yup, that's it.
- Yeah. - Yeah, let's take this one right here.
- We need a station, Ali. - All right, go.
We had two baskets and
a big pole, and we had to take the baskets
to a barrel full of fish.
And we had to fill the basket with these fish.
As full as we can go. Fast, fast, fast.
And these fish do not
- smell good. - No.
It's still on us right now.
It's in my DNA now.
Okay, Dash, come on. Carry it, come on.
Okay.
Rinse it out.
- There we go now. - They're all nice and fishy.
Oh, that's gonna smell good.
This challenge ain't messing around,
'cause we got our freshly-washed clothes on.
You just go
four arms deep in the nastiest,
nastiest fish water.
The bar was set very gross, very fast.
Come here, babe. Loop it through, right here, right here.
- Good, good. - Good? There you go.
Literally carry it with a pole. Cool.
- Good morning, Sri Lanka. - Hello.
- How are you? Good morning. - Good morning.
Who wants to buy the best fish in the market?
Michelle and Matt are doing this one. That's why
- I'm trying to keep track of them, okay? - Okay.
We wanted to U-Turn someone we thought
we could outplay but, it didn't work out that way.
I think there's more action over here.
We were worried, though, because.
Matt and Michelle... they are really good racers.
I mean, they're almost always at the head of the pack.
We've got our work cut out for us.
Basically, we had to sell
5,000 rupees worth of fish.
- How much? - I have fish for sale.
- Fresh-caught, delicious. - Come on. Fresh. Come on.
Kilo of fish.
Four hundred? Come on.
One kilo, 500.
- One kilo, 400. - One kilo, 500.
- Four hundred for one kilo. - Five hundred.
No, no, no, no, no, no. He's not.
Does this kid want to die?
Come on.
- That's a lot of fish. - I think we can do it.
Come, come, come.
Go, go, go.
Make sure they look pretty.
There's the example.
- Mom. - I'll get a pole?
Where are the blue barrels?
I was not super
surprised that I didn't see teams U-Turn us.
We've been a little all over the place.
We won the one leg, which was awesome.
But we've been finishing middle towards the end
and making mistakes
or having a lead and blowing it.
We're doing good.
But I believe we belong here.
There's a place for us
in the final leg of this race.
Good, Mom.
Oh, my God.
Fish creep me out. I hate fish.
Oh, my God.
I'm just not gonna look at them.
I just closed my eyes.
- I really... - We kept...
- I didn't look. - We kept supporting each other.
- Dad? - Suck it up.
Pretty sure you turned around and said,
"Just suck it up."
Yes. I mean, we didn't have a choice.
I hate fish and I'm allergic to them.
- Lay 'em out. - Like so?
Just like that.
- Okay. - Let's do single rows.
You work on your side, I'll do my side.
- Aah! - Watch out, watch out! - Mom.
- You okay? Okay. - I'm fine.
Heads are all facing this way, Ali.
- Okay. - Heads are all facing this way.
I'm so glad we're not on the U-Turn.
It was definitely a possibility. We got a couple votes,
but it actually just goes to show you
that we are competing really well.
We can't get complacent because two teams
that have been U-Turned are two teams that have been at the top.
We just got to stay focused, stay competitive
and play our race.
Four hundred for one kilo?
Okay. 350?
Three hundred? Okay, 300. Sure.
Seven hundred.
Okay? Okay. Thank you.
Much respect. Thank you.
We got our first sale!
We're on the board, Sri Lanka.
We checked the scale.
- Okay. Thank you so much. Very much. Thank you. - Okay.
No change?
Can I have that, and you can take more fish?
- More fish? Okay. - Yeah. Yeah.
- He wants two kilo... - We can get more fish.
Okay, that's two kilo, okay.
- You need-you need fish? - Two kilos.
Come. Come, talk to me.
Two kilo, 1,000. Two kilo, 1,000.
Come on.
This is good deal, Pa. Come on.
- What are we doing? - Two kilo, 1,000.
I worked in commercial
truck sales for a while, and that's
high-pressure selling.
- Fresh fish. - Two kilos.
Fresh fish. Cheap, cheap, fresh.
Everyone's the same no matter where you are.
Everyone wants a deal.
Everyone wants the cheapest price.
So it's, like,
how do you break through that?
Five hundred rupee, one kilo.
No, no, but I like your style, but, no.
You got to get out of here.
I knew they were gonna bust my chops.
We're such, like... no pun intended... fish out of water
in their fish market telling them how much the fish is.
- No money, no honey. - No money? No money, no honey.
Money talk... walk.
Dude, I'm wrecked.
Oh, we're gonna be so stinky after this.
We're gonna smell like fish for weeks.
It's hot out here. It's nasty.
We got U-Turned, and we have to go head-to-head
against Matt and Michelle
and Doug and Dylan.
But the goal
of this leg is not necessarily to get first.
The goal of this leg is to stay on The Amazing Race.
Oh, gosh.
We're laying fish out to dry.
And let me tell you, they don't smell very good.
You're stacking heads on top of other ones?
- You don't think that is? - No, that's not how they're doing it.
I mean, they're kind of on top of each other a little bit.
Are they on top of each other?
Like, the head is on top of the butt.
- It's on top of the butt? - Like, what you're doing. Yeah.
What you're doing is right.
- One kilo, 200? - One kilo.
- One kilo? - One kilo, 200.
Two kilos, 1,100.
You can't beat it with a stick. Let's go.
How's it going?
They're doing kilos for 200 bucks.
- All right, well... - They... it up.
Two hundred from this young woman.
At one point, we seemed to have a line.
They were Matt and Michelle's customers.
Yeah, we were charging the least amount.
We do have a line. We're getting busy.
Two hundred for a kilo? Pretty good deal compared
to Matt and Michelle. I think they were trying
to, you know, get a little bit more cash per kilo.
If you want a, like, nice tip, maybe.
I mean, I'm feeling 400.
Okay.
Three hundred, take it all.
- Take it or leave it. - Three hundred. Yours.
- Thank you. - Okay.
We're halfway. Yes.
- One kilo, 200. - One kilo, 500. Come.
- Thank you so much. - Come to my shop.
Three thou... How much do we need? 3,000?
They dropped the price over there.
They're doing kilos for 200 bucks.
It's, like, impossible.
Those people knew what a bargain was.
Two hundred? Okay, 200.
And they knew
that Matt and Michelle
were ripping them off, I think.
Two kilos, 1,000.
Can I sell you some fish?
One kilo, 200.
- Dirty? - No, no, no.
We get it... It's right from the boat.
We take it from the boat.
You think we would sell it dirty?
- Yeah. - We wouldn't sell it dirty.
Okay, thank you.
Feel like I'm selling used cars again.
- Yeah, come on. One kilo, 200. - One kilo?
Yeah, thinking about it.
I'm gonna get one... Yeah, one kilo.
Matt, we need to go get more, okay?
I'm gonna get you more, okay?
- Thank you, boss. - Matt.
Here, he wants one kilo.
I don't have... I need more.
- More? We don't have a kilo? - No.
- Okay. This one's separate. - We'll be right back. Stay.
- This no good. We get you fresh. - Fresh. One minute.
- Come on. - Speedy.
- Hey, boss. - Thank you.
Fresh. Fresh, fresh, fresh.
- Can I sell you some fish? - Competition.
- Is he still there? - All right.
Where'd he go? No, no, no, no, no! One kilo.
Coming up.
- They stole our guy. - We'll weigh it over there.
- Come on. - We have to weigh it here.
You need to make the sale immediately.
Weight, please.
There's no loyalty in these Sri Lankan streets.
- All right, Matt, we've got to find someone. - I know, I know.
Oh, you're wonderful. Thank you so much.
One kilo, 200. Here we go.
Doug and Dylan,
five feet away with their little scale.
- "We're gonna get your fish, get your fish." - Stop.
- One kilo, 400. - One kilo, 500.
- Four hundred for one kilo. - Five hundred.
- Four hundred. - You're not... No, no, no, no.
Here, right here.
All ready.
Yeah, thank you.
One kilo, 200 rupee.
Okay, deal.
They kind of threw a wrench in our thing for a bit.
Four hundred, one kilo. 400.
They already dropped the price, so we can't
walk back up the price.
We have three loads of fish.
We feel like we have enough fish.
We're just getting 'em lined up.
We got to make these fish look like a can of sardines
- by the time we're done with them. - Yeah.
Looking at the example, there wasn't
any ground between the rows.
I want to make sure we're not doing this another time.
Check?
- Pull? Pull? I'll pull them up, Ali. - Yeah, do.
- You fill the holes. - All right.
So there really was no open spaces on the mat.
Where one fish ended, another fish started.
Like, okay,
this is very tangible.
Can we get a check?
Too much space, okay.
Close the gaps a little, Conner, it sounds like.
We knew right then and there that we were off the wrong foot.
I'm like the queen of fish here.
Not exactly the kind of fish I like.
If it was dolphins, I'd be...
Filling in the cracks right now,
based on what we heard from the other teams.
I see there's a gap right there. I'll get that one.
Yeah, good throw.
Can we get a check?
- Okay. - Keep closing those gaps.
The mat was so big
that if you had holes or gaps in the middle,
you can't really reach to it easily.
You looked like Spider-Man, you know?
You got to try to climb around on your fingertips,
like, place fish on the inside.
So inefficient.
This is taking a long time.
We have a lot of teams here, still.
They're not getting the right checks, so...
Hopefully, we'll be the first one
to get the right check.
Check.
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
- Check. Yeah. - Check.
Check.
Man.
- Thank you. Whoo! - Yeah.
- Congratulations. - Thank you. - Thank you.
Yeah. Yeah. Thank you so much.
Good job, ladies.
Route Info.
"Take a tuk-tuk to the Negombo Bus Terminal
"and catch a bus to Colombo.
"When you arrive, make your way on foot to Mada Park
to find your next clue."
- Let's go. - Tuk-tuks?
They out?
We're going to the bus terminal.
Negombo Bus Terminal.
Okay, let's go this way.
- Check. - Check.
No stacking on top.
- So much pressure. - There's so much pressure right now,
knowing that we're Double U-Turned,
and someone's on our heels right now.
Two hundred, one kilo.
One kilo, 200. So close.
Five hundred? How much you want?
- For this whole bag? - Two kilo.
- Deal. Deal. - That's perfect. We'll do it.
Come on, one, just one.
So we need 200 more.
One kilo, 200.
When it's good, it's good.
That's one kilo. I get you change.
One kilo, 200. I need one person.
The market's gone dry.
I need 1,300 rupee, which is, like, three dollars, U.S.
- Two hundred for one kilo. - Two hundred, 200 for one kilo. Please, please.
And I give you some fish, and maybe you...
No, and you can give to child, give to woman.
Thank you so much.
- Mich, we're done. - Yeah?
We did it through
high-pressure sales and
some French ladies who were very generous with
their rupees.
We just got all the money we need.
We have to go back to the boat
and give our fishermen the money.
Michelle and Matt just finished.
Oh, man.
- Hello, sir. - Yo.
Freshest fish in Sri Lanka.
- Thank you, buddy. - Very nice. Very nice.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
It was stressful because we knew we had the U-Turn.
You do great on a challenge, and you can't be, like, happy.
It's like, "Next."
- Pop, we got to hurry. - Okay, I know.
Check?
- Good. - Yes. Okay.
Go ahead. Let's go. They're still here.
We can do this.
They got here... Matt and Michelle.
- Okay. Hey, guys. - Is that it?
All of them have to be heads up and not overlapping.
Our strategy when we voted was
who are the top two teams that we could slow down.
- One pole, two baskets. - All right, thank you, guys.
Oh, my God, it's like pole vaulting.
But the hard part is we like Matt and Michelle.
Yes, our target, but we respect them,
and we want the best teams here at the end of the day.
Ann-Marie and Riley gave us some tips.
Probably, they felt bad about U-Turning us.
- Can we get a check? - Can we get a check?
- Yes. Thank you so much. - Thank you so much.
Thank you.
- Everybody's getting. - Everybody's getting it.
Matt and Michelle are from the other Detour,
and they're over here now.
So we got to hurry.
- Two hundred? Yes? - Please, please.
Please, please, please, please, please.
- One kilo? - Please. I...
- Oh, thank you, thank you. - Yes.
- Thank you. Pop, let's go. - Okay.
Let's go. Thank you very much.
Here you go, sir. Good, all counted.
- Okay. - Good? - Good?
- Yeah, yeah. Okay. - Yeah. - Okay, thank you.
- Check. - Check.
- No double? - Yeah.
We're working on making sure
the fish aren't double.
- I see it. It's over here. - Okay.
- There we go. - Where's our example?
It's over here.
Doug and Dylan are here. I heard 'em.
I might throw up. Oh, my God.
Yes. Thank you.
Thank you.
Negombo Bus Terminal?
Oh, yeah. Thank you. We're going
- to Colombo. - Colombo, right?
Yeah, yeah. Where?
- Fastest to Colombo? - Yeah.
Fastest. How long?
Seventy-five minutes?
Is this the fastest bus to Colombo?
Another one? Should we get off? Oh, yeah.
- Hold on, stop, stop, stop, stop. - Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- Stop, stop, stop. - Wait, wait. Stop, stop, stop, stop.
We want to take the highway.
One of our greatest
gaps of improvement is just, like,
double and triple checking our work, right?
'Cause we can move fast, but it's, like,
making sure we're moving fast
in the right direction.
So that was a huge moment for us.
There's another bus
to go to Colombo that's faster.
Thank goodness she took it upon herself to say,
"Hey, how long is this actually gonna take?"
Which bus is the fastest bus to Colombo?
Two-forty?
Negombo Bus Terminal, right here, perfect. Yes.
- Oh, bus terminal. - How much do I owe you?
- Five hundred. - Five hundred.
- Thank you! - Right here, Mom.
There they are.
Colombo, baby, right there.
Should we tell them?
I think we just go, Jo.
There's only a few more seats left.
We saw Ann-Marie and Riley.
We love them, but of course, in this part of the race,
like, if you have a lead, you want to keep a lead.
You have to keep some things to the chest.
You know what I'm saying?
- That one's faster? - Yeah.
That one's faster. Go to that one.
I think we're good.
I think it gives us 15 minutes ahead.
We'll see.
- Okay. - Yes! - Thank you.
Can we get a check as well, sir?
Daisha and Dalton just left. We have to hurry.
- Yes. Thank you. - Yeah.
Boom. Let's go.
Yup. Let's ride.
Michelle and Matt and us are the only ones here.
Dang it.
- Hello. - Hello.
"Pick one basket of fish." Come on.
Scale's right here.
We got to set it up like that.
Listen, I don't know if this is
the marked auction pavilion.
- Look. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, just start.
I didn't see that.
- We're doing this fast. - Yeah.
I think we're doing okay.
- We got to beat them. - I know.
- I don't want to go home. - We're working on it.
What they don't know is I used to pride myself on being
the very last one to go to rehab on fires.
I was a firefighter for 30 years.
I started when I was 20 years old, and
I was lucky enough to retire at 50.
I worked in every rank, ended up as fire chief.
So to be the ones that are automatically U-Turned,
we were both frustrated, but
I've been around just about
anything you could imagine as a firefighter.
And if you're not in control of your emotions, things go south.
And so, can't complain about it.
We're just gonna crank it out and do the best we could.
- Pop, let's go. - Okay.
We keep getting help from people who are coming by
'cause they're afraid of what I said during the live U-Turn.
Anyone that has our names on the board,
I'm not... I'm done talking to you.
I'm done helping you. Don't follow me.
Because now I will lie to you
and tell you to go the wrong way.
Once you cross us, that's it.
Let's just get these fish done
before a venomous diatribe
distracts us.
- Will you buy some fish, please? - Buy some...
Can you buy some fish with us, please?
We're in a competition.
I love selling stuff.
I love selling things
when I feel passionate about the product that I am selling.
Please, please, please.
He said no, he said no.
You know how hard it is to sell
these nasty-looking fish?
They look terrible.
- Please. - Please. Please, please, please.
- Hey. Yay. - Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much, ma'am. Thank you. - Thank you.
Please, please, please, please.
- Please buy. - Please buy, please buy.
Please, please, please.
Why wouldn't you want to buy our nasty-looking fish?
Please.
- We're in a race right now. We're last. - Please.
The locals, they would look at us, and they would say,
"But we don't want that."
- Please, will you please help us? - Come, come, come, come.
- Please help us. - Come, come, come, come, come.
We know you don't want it.
Please come buy some fish from us.
We don't want it, either.
It's very cheap.
Please buy them.
- Good. Good. Good. Thank you. - Yes. Thank you.
Yeah.
Dad, there's everyone. Come on.
A team could show up.
We were really hoping to get on this bus
before anybody else came behind us.
Ann-Marie?
- Can we get in line with y'all? - Yes.
- "Hey, guys, can we-can we join you up there?" - "Can we join you?"
"You know..."
We're in a race.
Is it okay if we go behind you?
- Yeah? - Thank you.
- We're so lucky. - Heading to Colombo.
- They skipped the whole line. - As far as we know.
They skipped the whole line.
When the guy in line saw us talking to y'all,
I was like, "We're in a race. Can we go?" And he was like,
"Yeah, you can come in front of me."
That was nice.
But, so, like, they did that.
Is that a new perfume?
Yeah, Chanel Fish.
- Anuar does a very good job of attaching himself. - Yeah.
- In every situation that he can attach himself to. - Yes.
So, are we gonna have any kind of strategy
to work together and knock the rest, the next one?
I mean, yeah, we're all gonna be running against...
- It's not like it's... - Yeah. We all have to go
to the same place.
I mean, at this point we have,
- No choice. - Like, no choice.
You're gonna make it worse
by pushing them away than just accepting the...
I don't know... alliance, in a way.
As the race is going on,
- we need to... we need to not be so nice. - We might... Yeah.
The thing is, today,
- if we work together, we secure the next leg. - Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. All we got to do is finish in front of one team.
- We were so lucky that we saw you. - Yeah.
We are in a competition.
If we can sell two more kilos
and get 800 rupees, we get to leave.
You would be making our day, sir.
Two for 800... Yes!
- Two for 800? - Okay. Yes. Thank you so much.
- That's 5,000? - Yeah.
- 5,000. - Did you have change?
- She's giving you all that. - There.
- All right, we're done. - Thank you.
- Thank you so much. - Yeah, you are right.
Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
- Bye-bye. - Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
We were all alone on that side of the Detour,
and we had no clue
if Matt and Michelle or Doug or Dylan
were still working on their side.
For all we know, we're in last place right now.
It's very stressful.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
- Check, please. - Check.
We're good?
- Yeah! - Yeah!
Oh, my God, we did it.
Who knew we'd beat Matt and Michelle?
Getting out of the U-Turn
ahead of Matt and Michelle was pretty inspiring for us.
It was cool to even just race next to Matt and Michelle
for a team that's usually
second to last.
Check, please.
- Thank you. - Thank you.
- Tuk-tuk. - Nope.
- Tuk-tuk? - Hey.
We going to bus terminal.
Thank you, boss.
Dylan, right there, right there.
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Negombo Bus Terminal.
This is an express bus
to Colombo, so we're gonna take this one.
Gonna smell real bad.
Whoever took our seats after us on the bus
just had the frigging trip of doom.
- Think we're in the back. We stink. - Dude.
We stank that bus up.
Yeah, we did. I like that bus,
- but that bus hated us. - Bus hated us.
Anchovy hands.
- Is this it? Is this the bus station? - Bus station?
Bus station, sir.
- Let's go. Colombo. - Colombo, Colombo.
- We're on our own. - We're on our own.
Colombo, Colombo, Colombo.
We just started running around asking everyone
which bus we're supposed to get on.
Oh, that adrenaline was going.
Is this Colombo?
Where's Colombo?
- Colombo? - This is crazy.
Perfect. Thank you, guys.
- Thank you. - Thank you.
Hello.
Colombo?
- Colombo? - Yeah, this is Colombo.
- Okay, Colombo. Colombo. - Let's hop on.
- Which one's Colombo bus? - Anybody know?
- Right here. - Can we go on it?
- Maybe. - Oh, Matt and Michelle.
- Ask him if it's going. - Hello.
- Matt and Michelle. - Hey, what's up?
We were way behind.
So we're now, "Get there, get there, get there."
We're just rushing.
So we get on this bus.
Daisha and Dalton are there.
Are we bringing up the rear, then?
- Yeah, we are. - Is Doug and Dylan still there?
- They finished before us. - Like, two seconds before us.
- Oh, my goodness. - Okay, we got to go.
Where do we get a bus to get to Colombo?
Let's go in and find out.
Go baby, go baby.
Go baby, go baby.
Go baby.
- Go baby, go baby. - Oh, Colombo.
- You see 'em? - I see them. They're right there.
We see Doug and Dylan.
Aw, crap.
- We got to get out of here. - Go, go, go, go.
- Oh, my God. Go, go. - No, no more people.
That goes straight to Colombo? Oh.
Pop, we got to be on this bus.
- Go. - Go, go, go, go.
Go. Go.
That goes straight to Colombo?
- So that bus is faster, though. - I see them.
- They're right there. - Pop,
- we got to be on this bus. - Okay.
Let's go.
Go. Go.
That's what I'm talking about.
We just left Doug and Dylan
at the bus stop.
Within an hour, we're at the next stop.
We're pumped. We are feeling
great about our race.
- We got lucky. - We hauled butt.
At least Matt and Michelle aren't on here.
- Haven't seem 'em yet. - I don't know where they are.
Don't you love how we started last leg together,
and now we're starting this leg?
- Yeah, man. What the hell. - I mean...
I knew we were gonna get U-Turned anyway.
I was thinking someone wasn't gonna U-Turn us.
They're twinkling in,
trying to be buddy-buddy.
- You ain't mad at me. - Oh, man.
No.
- Doesn't work like that. - You just U-Turned us.
Y'all know we had to.
We were always second, and y'all were always first.
They're done.
- Everyone's dead to me. - Oh, God.
I don't care, dude.
Is this us, Jo?
There's the clue box right there.
Can we get off here?
Yeah? Okay. Come on, come on, come on.
Okay,
let's go. Let's do it.
Hurry, hurry, hurry.
Thank you.
- You saw it here, Jo? - Yeah. Right there.
- I see it. Come on. - Okay.
All right, let's see.
If it wasn't for these human-powered handcarts,
many believe that commerce in this city
would come to a grinding halt.
Workers navigate narrow streets with relative ease
as they transport cumbersome loads.
Teams will attempt to load and deliver
an enormous pile of boxes to a nearby address.
Once they've made their delivery,
they'll be paid with a clue.
Well done.
- I can do it. - All right.
Ali's gonna do it.
"Load up a cart with 30 boxes from the marked truck."
- You got this, Ali. - Hi.
Okay. I had to load this.
We did not get U-Turned, which was a huge plus.
And we... I think we're in first place.
- One. - And
I think Ali's gonna crush this.
I had to load up the cart
with 30 boxes.
Okay. Hold on.
And then I had to deliver it to the next location.
Twenty-nine, 30. Okay, ready.
Is this the address?
In the middle of town,
it's, like, rush hour.
All right, let's get going.
Sorry. Excuse me.
I got to go that way.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
It's chaotic and it's loud,
but Ali's so strong.
Lugging boxes is not gonna be anything difficult
for her, I don't think.
There you are. I got to...
Can this bus go?
God.
Peoples Park. Peoples Park.
Isn't that what we're looking for?
Peoples Park. That's right there.
- It said near Peoples Park. - So maybe it's in.
- Peoples Park area. - Somewhere around here.
- Apsaras? Apsaras? Apsaras? - Where?
- Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. - Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
There's just lots going on in the streets.
It's, like, hustle, bustle, cars, buses,
tuk-tuks, people.
Coming through.
I was dripping sweat.
It's chaos.
Excuse me. Sorry.
And there are so many stores.
It was just, like, impossible to find this place.
Oh, my gosh.
Hey. Wait, wait, wait.
Almost
got on the wrong bus.
There's a slower bus
and a faster bus to Colombo.
Not sure what other teams'
bus situation is gonna be.
They're behind us somewhere.
- Thank you. - Everybody off. - You know
- which direction? - It's not gonna be far.
Right up here? Right here. I see it. I see it.
Yup, right here. Clue box.
Do you want to do it?
- You can do it, Dad. - Okay. - I am.
- Back to the heat. Here we go. - Thank you. - Hoo-hah.
Sorry. Sorry. Excuse me. Excuse me.
Sweating non-stop today.
Sorry.
So many people in the streets.
Thank you. Thank you.
Hey, excuse me.
- Yeah? - Mada Park or Peoples Park?
People Park this side, left hand.
- More? - All right, Javi, I'm following you.
Each row is nine.
- Riley should be doing this. - Yeah, and Andrea, too.
- I'll hand you a couple. - You need three on top.
- That makes 30. - You don't have to do that.
- I got you. - It's okay. I got this.
We are in an alliance.
We know there are several teams behind us.
If we stay together, we are not gonna be eliminated.
I'm right behind you.
Keep going this way. Let's get across this way.
Watch out.
You want to squeeze it or wait?
Don't squeeze that, don't squeeze that.
This place is hectic. It's insane.
I'm not seeing it.
Where? So, right over there.
All right, here we go, here we go, here we go. I'm gone.
I think along this race, we have been learning
through the challenges themselves
that when it becomes
strenuous and demanding,
that's when you grow the most.
And you have to have that mentality
because it's not easy to stay at the top.
It's just hard to find this place.
Wait. I think I see it.
There it is. Found it.
I have a delivery. Right here?
Yeah.
- It's a little sweaty. - Okay.
- Sorry. - You're okay?
- I got the important piece. - Got the... Okay.
Okay.
- Thank you so much. - Good job.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Right behind you.
- All right. - Anuar, are you back there?
- I'm here. - Let's go.
This bus is blocking me through the gap.
Tell me if you stop, okay?
Don't go too fast.
It's hard to slow down.
Let's go.
Jo, Jo, Jo. Jo.
- Good job, good job. - Jo, Jo, Jo.
Good luck, guys. Great job, Ali.
Route Info.
"Travel by tuk-tuk to Henry Pedris Grounds
- to find your next clue." - "To find your next clue."
Here's a tuk-tuk coming.
We're headed to Henry Pedris Grounds.
- Oh, they're trying to get tuk-tuk? - Yeah.
We haven't seen Conner and Garrett yet.
- Right here. - Oh, wow.
I'm ready for a package deal.
Conner's gonna do a package deal.
I'm worried about my dad, but I think
this might be more navigation than physical.
Well, the good news is they're all together.
Anuar, you back there?
I'm good.
The three of us work together really well.
I was sandwiched between the two of them,
And so I'm like, "All right, what role can I play
with these guys? I'm in the middle, I'm gonna communicate."
You know where we're going?
Hey, we're stopping right here to make sure
- we don't pass it. - Are we stopping?
All right.
It was like traffic
with dollies
and no brakes.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, stop, stop.
I can't see in front of me.
We're trying to get to Apsaras Centre.
Ann-Marie and Anuar didn't have to do any navigating.
They just followed Javi.
- Good? - Let's go. - Go.
How much further?
There you go. How much further?
- Let's go, Anuar. - About, like,
- three or four more minutes. - Anuar, are you good?
Yeah. Wait! No, wait, wait, wait. That's something.
Oh, my gosh.
- Anuar, are you good? - No, no. Wait.
You got it?
Ready to get off this bus.
It feels like we've been on it for hours,
stopping every 30 seconds, picking up people.
Maybe there was an Express Bus.
We just don't know what happened to Matt and Michelle.
We beat them at the Detour, we beat them to the tuk-tuks,
and we just never saw them at the bus station.
The U-Turn definitely
took its toll on us.
A lot of work, hot, tired, but,
- we're still here. - Just saw some graffiti
on the side of the road.
It said, "Some people want to see you fail. Don't let them."
These people that
we thought were, like, our best friends...
they want us out.
Some people want to see us fail. Let's not let 'em.
Are you guys waiting for your people
- to come back? Come back, yeah. - To come back.
My dad's been gone for a while. I don't know.
So I'm not sure what's...
Got to be it.
- How much more, Javi? - Hey, I see it.
Almost there. Across the street.
We got to cross the street, Anuar.
- I'm dying of thirst. - All right.
Let's see. I just want to double-check.
Twenty, 24, 28, 30.
Got all 30. Let's go, hey, let's hit the road.
- Hello, sir. - We did it.
- All right, you guys. Come on. - We need to disappear fast.
Right behind you, Javi.
They need to verify the shipment.
- Good, sir? Thank you. - Whoo!
- Okay, good job. - Thank you.
- Thank you, sir. - Thank you.
- Come on. - Okay.
Now we just have to get back.
My dad's been gone for a while now,
trying to deliver these boxes.
But you can't go fast.
Your boxes will fall over or you'll get run over by a bus.
Oh, man, we got.
A big traffic jam right on up ahead.
Oh, my gosh. The streets
of Sri Lanka were outrageous.
Thank you.
I was stressing.
Holy cow.
Just absolutely not
keeping it mellow.
It's a tight squeeze.
- Millimeters away. - Hey!
Ridiculous.
- Erin! - Hey! - Yes, Dad!
- See you guys. - Great job, Mom.
Just me now.
"Travel by tuk-tuk..."
"To Henry Pedris Grounds."
Okay. There's one tuk-tuk.
- Henry Pedris Grounds. - Tuk-tuk right here.
Oh, Henry Pedris Grounds.
Okay, great. Here it is.
Ready?
You hear that?
That's the sound of a tuk-tuk,
and why they call a tuk-tuk a tuk-tuk...
an auto rickshaw
that's used for a myriad of reasons, including
playing the role of a horse
in a game of polo.
The game is simple.
While one person drives the tuk-tuk,
the other...
must try to hit it between the posts
to score a goal in under 60 seconds.
That wouldn't be so hard
if the opposition...
wasn't so driven to try to stop them.
Once they get the ball between the posts,
they'll get a clue.
- Okay. - Okay.
- I saw the tuk-tuks. - Okay.
We're the only team here,
so we want to try a few goes
before any other team gets here.
Let us tell you about
this tuk-tuk challenge.
Ali was driving the tuk-tuk, and I had to hit
a rubber ball with a mallet
into a goal.
She's a better goal scorer than me.
We all know that.
Go, go, go, go, go.
You're under a lot of pressure in these 60 seconds
to try to score a goal...
Just give it a good smack.
Oh, careful.
To try to whack this ball down
a dirt field...
Oh, my goodness. There it is.
While other people
in tuk-tuks are defending you.
Jo, get it.
We got this, Ali. Come on.
Like, it was just
so difficult.
- Go, go, towards the goal. - I don't know where it is.
Go this way, Jo-Jo?
Oh! Whoa.
So hard.
Okay, we're gonna go again.
This is a real traffic jam. Wow.
Holy cow.
I just need to try to find a way through here.
I'm blocked in now.
Boy, that's some good diesel right there.
I was in a human traffic jam.
Thank you. I got VIP service.
Thank you. Thank you so much, sir.
I met some, like, really cool people, actually.
I like the mustache, man.
There was this gentleman that had a orange coat,
orange mustache and orange hair.
And he, like, yeah... His name was...
Bro. Very funny.
Sorry.
One sec. Sorry. We're laughing too hard.
No, we're just laughing, okay?
We'll get it back together.
Apsaras Saree.
There we go. Oh, excellent.
- Good job. - Thank you, sir. Thank you.
"Score a goal in 60 seconds
- "to win your next clue." Okay, let's go. - Okay.
Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Do it now.
- Aah! - Keep going, keep going, keep going.
He's gonna get it. Go. Go forward, go forward.
Oh, it's bouncing, it's bouncing, it's bouncing.
- Dude, this is impossible. - You, Jo.
So close.
We got to go. We got to go.
Good luck, guys. It's so hard.
I'm assuming more teams are gonna be coming soon.
"Score a goal in 60 seconds..."
"To win your next clue." Let's go.
Are you gonna...
Hit it, hit it. Watch...
Slow down. You got to slow down.
- I can't... - You got to slow down.
You're trying to go way too fast.
No way they're getting it in their first try.
- Get it in! - Aah.
- Almost got it. - Oh, my God, this is terrifying.
To the right, to the right, to the right.
- Get on the other side. - I can't get on that side.
All right, 60 seconds. That's all you get.
- Speed is not the key here, right? - I know, but this is
- my first time doing it, okay? - I know, I know, I know.
Hope I see Conner sooner rather than later.
So much traffic, even if he was around the corner,
he couldn't even get here.
Keeping that head on a swivel for him.
Pardon me. Hey, Garrett. Hey, man.
- Oh, you did it? What the heck? - Let's get out of here, man.
- Where'd you come from? - Yeah, what's up, dude?
- Let's get out of here. - How's it going?
- Come on, let's go. - Tuk-tuk, tuk-tuk.
This is Mada Park here?
Wh-Where is it?
- 'Cause we need... we need, Mada Park. - Is it that...
- Yes. - Across the street. - Let's go, come on, come on.
- Oh, my God. - Oh, geez.
There's three clues.
Yeah! All right.
- Roadblock. You're doing it. - Okay.
I want off the bus.
Pretty stoked right now.
To beat Daisha and Dalton and Matt and Michelle...
to beat both those teams out
of the Double U-Turn feels pretty good.
The fact that we got on the right bus feels pretty good.
This is the station, guys.
- Wow. - What the heck?
Yeah, just happy for us right now.
So there had to have been a better bus.
So Doug's already doing the Roadblock.
Well, that makes it a bit more complicated.
- It's go time. - Yeah.
Express bus?
Nobody told me about an express bus.
If I knew there was an express bus,
- I would have got on that one. - Let's go.
- So that sucks. - Keep up.
- I'm with you, I'm with you. - Hello.
Mada Park? Mada Park?
This way... Give me this...
I saw Matt and Michelle and Daisha and Dalton,
but that clue box gets pretty hidden with all that traffic,
so, hopefully, they get lost or something.
Where's Dylan?
- Over here to the right. - Right here.
- Ask him, babe. - Where's it at? - Dylan?
- Where's the clue box? - Dylan, where's...
- You know where the clue box is? - Yeah, but...
- You're not gonna tell us? - Sorry, guys.
- All right, bro. - It's tight right now.
Okay.
- Oh, goodness. - All right.
Let's get out of here. It's not gonna be in here.
- No? - Get out.
Okay.
- Keep your eyes peeled. - Where?
Just hoping that clue box can stay hidden for a bit longer,
give Pop a little bit of an advantage.
This way? Oh, look, look, look, look.
Go left, Matt. Other side.
- I see it. - There it is.
Oh, my God.
Mich, come.
Roadblock.
- That's me. - Dalton's ready.
Let's do it. I'm doing it.
Okay, here we go.
Pop really killed it at the fish thing.
I know he was tired.
It's hot out here. It's humid.
I think he's gonna kill this, though.
I'm not really sure what he's doing,
but outside navigation,
we do pretty good at challenges, so...
Thank you.
Feeling good.
Hey. Here we go, here we go.
Three, six, nine.
12, 15, 18, 20. Oh.
I got to do this as fast as I can.
Stacking the boxes, I knew that it had to be a six by five,
because it said 30, and...
My man can do math.
Apsaras Saree Centre? Out here?
There-There's a roundabout
this way?
Good lord.
- Hi, guys. - That's crazy.
I'm hoping there's a roundabout
up here really soon.
Apsaras Saree Centre?
Left? First left, second left.
That is not a roundabout.
It's gonna be a tight race.
I definitely have faith in Matt's abilities over Doug.
They have a 15-minute lead on us,
and I'm just hoping that Matt
can really pull out ahead
on this one.
Apsaras Centre? Straight? Okay.
It's just a waiting game
at this point, and whatever happens happens, but.
Dalton's great at navigation,
so, hopefully, he can push through this.
- What's up, Matt? - Hey.
- We're not working together. - I'm just...
trailing you.
Apsaras Centre?
Left? How far?
- Hey, boss. - Coming through.
Coming through. Coming through.
I'm going with what I think is right.
Apsaras Saree?
- Anybody? - Second row, street.
- Where? Aah. - This side.
Is it this way?
- Left or right? - Come through, come through, come through.
This is chaos.
Wow, this is crazy.
I do not know where we're going right now.
I'm just following Matt.
This is so stressful.
The Amazing Race is becoming
the amazing nightmare.
Dang it, dang it, dang it.
Apsaras Centre here?
- There it is! - Please, God.
- Excuse me. - We are in
the tightest crunch of my life.
Excuse me, excuse me.
Okay.
- Thank you so much. - Good job.
- Thank you. - Apsaras Saree Centre.
Apsaras Saree... You speak English?
No. You speak English?
No. Okay.
Daisha.
Good job. Oh, my gosh, you're a beast!
- Mich! - Let's celebrate afterwards. Let's go.
- Mich. - Matt, right here. Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt.
- Let's go. - Great job.
Well, Pop's the last out, but
I know he's doing his best, and that's all I can ask him.
"Henry Pedris Grounds to find your next clue."
- Henry Pedris. Let's go. Right now. - Tuk-tuk!
Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.
Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.
I just wish I could help him right now.
You just hate to see him struggle at a Roadblock.
Let's see. Oh, boy.
I'm getting turned around here.
Oh, boy. Apsaras Saree Centre?
It sucks to be last,
but I know he's giving it
his absolute all. I mean, that's the type of guy
he is. He's a-he's a trooper.
There's a center up there. I'm gonna go check that out.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
No, no!
Oh, no!
Go forward. Go forward.
Go towards the goal.-
my father has been, always, an "entree-preneur."
- And... - Entrepreneur.
"Entree-preneur."
And he bought tuk-tuks and took them to Mexico.
And I was able to drive tuk-tuks
for probably two, three years.
Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
- Let me hit it. - Whack it, whack it, whack it.
I used to pick up my younger brothers
for fun in a tuk-tuk at school.
Just go to the goal.
So I know exactly what to do.
Go behind them. Dad.
Are we stalled? We almost had it.
Okay.
Go, Jo. Oh... God.
I think we're both really great all-around athletes.
But, as professional
soccer players, we're more foot-eye coordination.
And we didn't necessarily
know how to do it.
"It wasn't like," Oh,
next time let's do this,
"and we'll definitely score." It was just
like, "I don't know."
"Let's just drive around and hope
we don't smash into something."
- Keep going. - Come on, Jo.
- Oh, Jo! Yes. Yes. - Yes. Go, go, go, go.
- Yes. Come on. - Aah. Wait. Wait for it.
Sock it in. Sock it in.
- Get it in. - Goal!
Yes!
Goal!
- Yes! Good job. - Oh, my God. Yes.
"Take a taxi
to Independence Square and find Phil."
This monument commemorates Sri Lanka's independence
from Britain in 1948,
a new chapter in this country's human history,
which, amazingly, dates back
more than 125,000 years.
Teams will find the Pit Stop
here on these celebrated grounds.
The last team to check in may be eliminated.
- This looks like taxis right here. - Let's go. Yeah, let's go.
Maybe we should switch. You want to drive?
Hit it, hit it, hit it. Straight back, straight back.
- I said, "You should drive." - You didn't
say it in a way that was like,
"I actually think it's a smart idea if you drive."
She's like, "Well, why don't you drive?"
Oh, okay.
Damn it.
- Okay, so, tonality mattered. - So, I just want to...
- Apparently, tonality mattered. - It does matter.
In that moment.
Okay, babe... Oh, did you just stall?
Just got to get...
Excuse me, excuse me.
Oh, here we are. Hello, hello.
I have some delivery for you.
Got it, got it, got it.
Dribble, dribble, dribble,
- dribble, dribble. - Stop.
- They just... - Look at them go.
- Anuar. - Where is it?
Careful with that turn.
Please. Yes!
- Yes! - Yes! Yes! Yes!
Wow.
"Take a taxi
to Independence Square and find Phil."
- Let's go. - Let's go.
Dylan. Dylan. Come on, Dylan.
Are you done?
- Did I beat Dalton? - They're all gone.
Okay. Sorry, man.
"Henry Pedris Grounds to find your next clue."
- Okay. - Okay.
Another clue. Not a Pit Stop.
- Dylan's still there? - Thank you so much.
- Yes. - Good. And he wouldn't help us.
- No. - Little rat.
Stop.
This is type two fun.
This is probably another really close leg
for Daisha and Dalton.
If we do survive this day, like, they created a monster.
That's what-that's what I'm feeling.
Where's Phil?
There he is.
Whoo!
Welcome to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
- Thank you. - Thank you so much.
- Thank you. - Thank you.
Ali and Joanna, I am pleased to tell you
that you are team number one.
- Yay. Yay. - Let's go, Phil.
- Yes. Yes. - Okay, that's how you compete.
As the winners of this leg of the race,
you have won OneKeyCash from Expedia,
which you can use
for a trip for two to my homeland...
- What? - Yes...!
Will you have us over for dinner?
Yeah, I'll have you over for dinner.
Expedia has put together a recommended
five-night unique experience
with an Auckland Maori culture
private tour experience,
a Waiheke Island wine-tasting excursion,
and a scuba diving adventure
at Goat Island Marine Reserve.
- Whoo! Oh, my goodness. - Hey.
This is our second first place finish, but
we've had some legs that we've struggled.
So this is a huge confidence...
- "boost ah!" - "Boostah!"
And I think our plan moving forward is to
slay and play
and be gay.
We plan to keep doing that.
Route info.
"Play tuk-tuk polo."
Left. That's...
Left, left, left. Javi, Javi, Javi.
Go. Go, go, go, go!
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
- Did it make it? Did it make it? - No, no!
Aw.
- Right here. - Help me.
- Okay. - Right here. Get it.
- Go. Go. - Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
Go. No!
I can hit a ball.
That's what I've done my whole life... softball.
Boy, was I humbled.
And the competitor in me
is just like, "Dude, I'm pissed."
Crap! That's another frigging challenge.
- Dadgum! - Oh, it's like polo.
Yeah, we got it.
We got it. Right side, right side.
No way.
We were pretty much playing.
Rocket League with the tuk-tuk.
Rocket League is like
a rocket-powered car soccer game.
So it's pretty much the same thing,
just without the rockets.
That's a whistle.
Oh, we were close.
All right, we're in the queue.
Matt and Michelle show up,
and Daisha and Dalton.
And all of a sudden, we're, like, in the back,
fighting for our lives against the U-Turned teams.
All right, we're here.
Everyone was just, like, driving, like,
way too much. Like I was telling Matt
- before we went in. - Yeah.
"Like, keep the ball close to you."
Attack the goal.
You need to push the issue and get to the goal.
- Let's get it. - Go!
Go. Do you see it? Go, go straight!
No. Push it. Nice and gentle.
- Go! Go, go, go. - Right here, right here. Focus.
- Go, turn around, turn around. - There it is.
- You see it. - Go, go, go.
You're okay. Don't worry.
Get in there, get in there. Go, go, go.
Go, push it, hit it.
- Yeah! - Goal.
- No way. - Are you serious?
I don't know how they do it.
They literally got that on the first try.
- Let's go! Come on! - Good for them.
Put some respect on our name.
When I got that goal in, like,
I wanted to, like, walk the line and, like,
get in everyone's face.
I'm glad I didn't.
Good job, guys.
Hey, thank you, thank you.
The teams that.
U-Turned us were there just, like...
- Wow. - First try is crazy.
I enjoyed that.
U-Turn who?
If you'd like to immerse yourselves
in amazing culture on The Amazing Race,
then go to cbs.com/casting
and apply now.
The world is waiting for you.
U-Turn who?
Whoo! Now you're about to
- get me talking crazy. - Thank you. Thank you.
Dude, there's no way.
- No way. - Are you serious?
Wow.
U-Turn who?
- Who? Not-not us. - Not us.
I know you didn't mean to U-Turn us.
All you did was
- make us mad. - Create...
- a problem for yourselves. - Create a monster.
I am pleased to tell you that
you are the second
- team to arrive. - Good job.
Thank you, Phil.
It was a very hard leg,
very physical, which is not our strength,
but we nailed it.
You can let go of that.
Go. Go, go forward.
Crap. I stalled.
There were several teams still there.
We want to survive and we don't want to be last.
We have to do it now and we have to do it quick. But
I couldn't even get the thing to move.
Keep revving, keep revving.
- Keep revving. - I am!
You're driving next time.
Block it, block it, block it.
Oh, dude.
Behind you. Wait, stay in the middle, stay in the middle.
Fast, fast, fast. Yup, yup, yup. I got it. I got it.
- Pow! - Yeah!
- Let's go. - Let's go, baby.
They got it. They got it.
- Thank you so much. Thank you. - Thank you.
Up top. Hey-o.
Let's go, baby.
I got to hand it to you.
In this heat, against the odds today,
- you guys are team number three. - Yes.
That's an incredible achievement.
- They took a shot today, and... - They did take a shot.
- It was a good shot to take. - And it didn't work out.
I want to win this race because
how many people can say not only they did it, but won it?
I have confidence the game shakes out the weak teams.
We proved today that we're not one of them.
They tried. It was a valiant effort, but
you need more than that to kill us.
We're still here.
Coming in third after all that today feels great.
- So, I'm feeling good today. - Yeah.
Last one?
- Yeah. - Okay.
"Score a goal in 60 seconds to win
- "your next clue." - Okay.
- Pop, let's go. - I'm coming, pal.
- There they are. - Yeah, there they are.
Doug and Dylan are here. Aw, man.
It's all right. It's all right.
There were still a couple teams there,
and so I was like, "Pop, if we can do this on our first try,
we can beat them."
It's good to see some people.
- Yes. Yes. - Go, go, go, go, go!
- Go. - Come on, come on.
Come on, come on, come on. Yes!
Whoo!
- They got it? - Did they get it?
Ann-Marie and Riley just got it, so...
"Take a taxi to Independence Square and find Phil."
Let's do it, girl.
Go, go. To the left, to the left.
Oh, my God, I can't reach it. Turn around, turn around.
Backwards, backwards, backwards, backwards!
- Yes! - Yes!
- She's got it. - She got it?
- Here you go. - Oh, thank you so much. - Thank you so much.
So it's just us and Doug and Dylan.
"Take a taxi to Independence Square and find Phil."
- Let's go. - Let's go.
Go get it. It's over there.
Wait. You got it.
And, babe, just keep going.
Aah!
I got to figure this out, man.
Come on.
Pop, it's-it's just us and Daisha and Dalton.
There's us and Daisha and Dalton are left,
so I really just want to try this once and get it going.
All right, we're here.
Doug and Dylan are taking their first attempt now,
so, we'll see how it goes.
We knew one of us is going home,
and it's probably gonna be whoever scores last.
The pressure was on.
This has been a hard leg.
Got a shot, man.
You ready?
Come on, Lord.
Please help us out.
- You ready? - Yeah.
So it just left us and Daisha and Dalton.
Got it.
All you have to do is score a goal for me.
I'm gonna try.
Go, go, go.
Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
- Are you okay? - Yeah, I'm fine.
- Go, go, go forward. - Keep going, keep going.
- Oh, no, no. - Go, go, go.
- I can't see it. - Aw, shoot.
Here it comes.
That's it. That's game.
- Good job, y'all. - Good job, guys.
Dang it.
Hey!
Hey!
You guys are happy.
Whether it's on The Amazing Race or just an old day of life,
we're stoked to every chance we get to live.
- Whoo! - Hey!
Did anybody see where, Michelle and Matt were?
Way ahead of us.
I mean, how do you slow a team like that down?
We tried. We tried our best to slow 'em down,
- Yeah. - But we got to find some new measures.
Slow down, slow down, slow down.
Slow down. I-I missed it. Missed it, missed it.
We knew
if we're gonna do this, we have to do it now,
and we have to do it quick.
Go over there.
Go, go.
Hit it hard.
- Yes! - Yes!
Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
- Let's go! Let's go! - Let's go!
- Whoo! - Yes!
Daggone it. Sorry, man.
- Yes. - Atta-frigging-girl.
Yes. Yes!
Amen.
- Good job, guys. - Thank you.
- I love you. I love you. - I know.
No sharp turns.
Go, go, go, go, go.
We know it's gonna be a long shot, but
we want to keep racing, we want to give it our all.
And we're gonna give it everything we've got.
I'm gonna throw up.
- Oh, gosh. - Hey, you're like me.
Oh! Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
Hit it.
- Score! - Yeah! Whoo!
Go back, go back, go back, go back, go back, go back.
I saw you just ran back and just go, "" - I know...
"Race to the Pit Stop, take a taxi,
Independence Square and find Phil."
- Okay. - Daisha and Dalton just left.
We have been
wanting to just ride under the radar.
- Well... - We want teams to be surprised
by, like, leg nine or ten and be like, "Whoa. Ja...
- "Javi and Erin are still here? - "How are they still here?"
What the heck is going on?"
If you know any shortcut to Independence Square.
Fast as you can.
- Doug and Dylan. - Doug and Dylan could have
potentially got it immediately after us,
and they could be right
- behind us, for all we know. - And they're in a taxi
right now, probably.
- Yeah, I'm not giving up, man. - I am not giving up.
Boy, if they get lost, we got a shot.
It's not over until we're on that mat.
'Cause we're getting close. This is what I was...
This is it.
- Where's friggin' Phil? - Go, go, go.
Where's it at?
- Thank you very much. - Thank you.
Excellent driving.
- Hard to the end, hard to the end. - Yup.
- Where you at, Phil? - Phil!
- I see it, I see it, I see it. - Here we go.
Come on. Come on!
- Stick with me. - Come on.
Yes!
Woo-hoo-hoo!
Yes!
Daisha and Dalton...
the news is good.
I am pleased to tell you that you are team number seven.
- There they are. - We survived.
Only so many people ever get U-Turned,
and we made it through it.
- It's almost like a badge. - Yeah.
Like, "Oh, I got U-Turned, but I survived it."
We're very competitive people, but more than that,
this is a blessing. We do not want it to end.
There they are.
Praise the Lord.
- Come on. - Whoo!
- Hey, guys. - Hey.
Daisha and Dalton, you have survived.
- Congratulations. - Thank you so much.
- Congratulations. - Thank you so much.
Doug and Dylan,
you got here just minutes
after Daisha and Dalton.
You are the last team to arrive.
And I am sorry to tell you that you have
been eliminated from this race.
Well, we're sorry to hear that, but we've had a ball.
We had a wonderful time.
Now, this guy,
he was always scared he would hold me back,
and I wouldn't have made it to leg seven
without you, man.
Just from being a little kid,
this guy took care of me every day,
taking me to the zoo, beach,
mountain biking,
- boogie boarding, whatever I wanted. - Yup.
He came on The Amazing Race with me at 72.
I mean, who does that?
It's just... it's pretty cool to have you in my life.
That's that time.
Yeah. I'm a wreck.
This just means a lot to me.
We are beyond proud that we made it to leg seven.
I think going in, a bunch of teams probably looked at,
you know, a 72-year-old and an 18-year-old
and thought, "You know, that's an easy out."
But I think we surprised a lot of people.
We are so glad we got to do this.
We-We've had a lot of great adventures together, but this...
It was the most fun we've ever had together, - Yeah.
- Easily. - We had a ball.

Next time on The Amazing Race...
In Vientiane, Laos, teams take it on the chin.
As the competition intensifies...
I need you to tell me what to do.
- With a twist... - No way.
Nobody sees coming.
Just sucks the soul out of you.
Like, this is a bloodbath.
This game is a bitch.
