[A Talented Girl Grows Up]

[Episode 13]

Would you like to go out with me?

This is too hard.

Manyi,

what are you doing?

Meet me at Fuqu Lake around 6 p.m. today.

Young Madam isn't possessed, is she?

If you understood the joy in life better,

you wouldn't be still single.

Even Dongqing doesn't talk to you.

Read more books.

He will come.

He won't.

He will.

He won't.

He will.

My wife invited me,

how could I not show up?

You made it.

So you asked me to

come here

to go boating with you.

Let's go.

I found this at the qin playing meeting.

Here.

Get in there.

Okay.

♫The candle is burning out, the dawn is breaking♫

♫The moon knows my thoughts♫

Come.

Be careful

♫Life is so long; I hope to spend♫

♫The rest of my life with you♫

Take a seat.

Let me row the boat.

♫It's a long way to go♫

OK.

♫May I have a lifelong partner♫

Lotus leaves and the skirt are of same green.

The flowers are blooming to her face to face.

♫Let me be your lover♫

Not utill the coming of the girl’s singing,

♫Hope you can get to know my love♫

can her presence be felt in the lake.

♫Wait for the arrangement of fate♫

Can her…

♫Let us be together♫

I'd like to sing a song for you.

You can sing?

♫It's a long way to go♫

Yes, of course.

They call me "the little music library" for a reason.

♫But I'll devote my love to you♫

You're sitting at the bow of the boat.

I'm sitting at the stern.

The towline sways.

Our love is strong.

Wen Chenyi,

I've been wanting to tell you something

for a long time.

Manyi, the boat...

Don't interrupt.

Listen to me.

I...

I think my feet are wet.

The boat is taking in water.

Focus.

Listen.

Oh, no.

Manyi.

This...

The boat is leaking.

Hurry up!

What?

Row back. Hurry!

Hurry. Go back.

What should we do?

Go back.

Hurry.

Here. Let me help.

Here.

Let's sit together.

Come on.

What should we do?

-Hurry! -Hurry.

My shoes are wet.

I messed up.

The confession that I planed carefully

is ruined.

Don't cry.

Manyi,

there will be other chances.

No, there will not.

Because of me, your brother almost got sick this time.

He must be traumatized.

There must be

another way.

By the way,

tomorrow is the Mid-Autumn Festival.

It's such a memorable festival.

It suits the sense of ritual

that you mentioned.

Wei.

I have several sophisticated plans

that I need your help to carry out.

The Moon Worshipping Ceremony

begins.

Cleanse the hands.

Offer the incense.

Offer the libation.

Today we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

It is a wonderful holiday.

The mission of the World's Greatest Academy

is to cultivate the pillar of the nation.

We are learning

to set examples for others.

I hope you all

will be honest,

righteous,

and responsible.

Yes.

Thank you for your advice.

Let us

take this opportunity

to enjoy the moon and have a great time.

Enjoy poetry and wine while you're still young.

Okay.

Come.

Drink with me.

Son,

come with me.

Let's go.

Is everyone ready?

Yes.

Attention, everyone.

This is not a rehearsal.

I repeat.

This is not a rehearsal.

Lighting technicians, props masters, set designers, extras.

Get ready and steady.

Let's make it happen in one take.

Go.

This is the proposal I carefully prepared.

Mooncake that contains my love.

This method is evolved from hiding the ring in the cake.

When Wen Chenyi eats the mooncake,

he will accidentally bite the ring.

It will be a small surprise

that melts his heart.

It will go so smoothly.

Try this mooncake.

Wen Chenyi,

let's stay together forever.

Okay?

Okay.

Oh my gosh.

Darling.

Darling.

Try this mooncake.

Try another.

Try another.

Try another.

One more.

I'll let you eat.

Mr. Wen doesn't want to eat them.

Why are you forcing him anyway?

Manyi,

I'll eat them since he doesn't want to.

Delicious.

Sweet.

Fortunately, I have a backup plan.

The second show of my confession.

I'll confess my love publicly

at the end of the show.

I might be accused of moral coercion

because of this.

And if I fail, it will be social suicide for me.

But I don't have much time now.

I'll have to take risks.

I want to have a relationship

that lasts forever with you.

Get ready.

What's wrong?

Get up.

Get up now.

You...

Hurry.

Come back.

Run.

Hurry.

[Break up I don't want to have a relationship with you.]

Manyi,

you finally did the right thing.

Break up.

I don't want to have a relationship with you.

That's enough.

I'm going to make a very direct move.

Wen Chenyi.

The Grand Master is here.

Greetings, Grand Master.

Greetings, Grand Master.

Grand Master Ning.

Sorry I didn't wait for you by the gate.

Please forgive me.

There's no need to follow the formalities.

I came here today

to celebrate

this holiday with you, the talents of the country.

Also,

I want to play chess

with you, Mr. Wen,

to scratch the itch.

What do you think,

Mr.Wen?

Since you're so interested, Grand Master,

I wouldn't dare to

say no.

Great.

Let's be clear.

You can't let me win on purpose.

Grand Master.

You first.

You're talented

and very knowledgeable.

But you didn't inherit

your chess skills from your family.

Grand Master Ning,

so you've played chess

with my father?

No.

I played with your grandfather,

Wenxian.

So you

and my family

go way back, Grand Master.

Your grandfather and I were both imperial officials.

We were very close friends.

Later,

he resigned from his job

and went on to built this,

the World's Best Academy.

Why?

You didn't know that?

I wasn't even born

when Grandfather passed away.

so I don't know much about the past.

I only know

that I should uphold the will of my ancestors

and improve

the academy.

Young Mr. Wen,

look carefully.

Small ogeima.

Large knight's move.

Grand Master Ning is good and steady.

In the first half of the game,

Mr. Wen almost couldn't handle it.

Mr. Wen

is quick and smart.

Now, he's seizing the opportunity to win

and is about to turn the tide.

The old crow is riding on Grand Master Ning's coattails.

They're messing with our Yi.

If you don't stop,

I'll blow your brains out.

It seems that I'm going to catch a big fish.

What are you looking for?

Do you need

any help?

You little theif.

I didn't hit you hard enough

when I threw the smoke shell?

It's a fireball this time.

Stop!

[A Talented Girl Grows Up]

You're calm in a crisis.

You're an impressive young man.

You're too kind, Grand Master.

Bad news. Bad news.

Bad news.

The secret chamber is on fire.

Miss Cheng

is trapped inside the fire.

Let's go.

Hurry!

The guards

must have succeeded.

Let's go back.

Put out the fire!

Hurry up!

Over there.

Hurry!

Help! Fire!

Young Madam.

My lady.

My lady.

Master, you can't go.

My lady.

Master.

Even if there is only a ray of hope,

I will go and save her.

Yi.

Be careful, Young Master.

You are my only son.

Yi.

Manyi. Manyi.

You can't go, Young Master.

Manyi.

No.

My lady.

Listen to me.

If anything bad happens to Manyi,

I will make you suffer.

Manyi.

Where are you?

Manyi. Manyi.

Manyi.

Manyi.

Manyi.

Manyi. Hang in there.

Mr. Wen.

Hurry.

Mr. Wen.

Put out the fire.

Manyi.

You go there.

Manyi.

Manyi.

Brother. Brother.

Manyi.

Young Master.

Manyi.

Hurry, send her to the doctor's.

Are you really going

to sacrifice your life for her?

Go now!

Put out the fire. Hurry!

Hurry up!

Be careful.

Manyi.

You're awake.

Are you an idiot?

What if we died together?

It's okay.

I'm fine.

Look at me. I'm totally fine, am I?

If I see that thief again,

I'm definitely going to break his arms and legs.

That thief

is just a pawn.

If my guess is right,

the person behind it

has shown himself.

Grand Master Ning.

Useless.

I… I…

I know I made a mistake.

Please give me another chance.

Is this how you atone for your crimes?

My Lord. My Lord.

I really know I made a mistake.

Please give me another chance.

Please, My Lord.

Fool.

I don't want to see you.

Get out.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

How did you know it was him?

I found Vice Censor-in-Chief Du

shady long ago.

That is the first clue.

Grand Master Ning pretending to be calm

when the academy caught fire is the second.

And last,

when I was chatting with Grand Master Ning,

he always casually asked me

about my

grandfather.

Your grandfather?

We'll talk about this later.

Do you

have something

to tell me today?

Did he know my confession plan?

Should I tell him now?

Thank you, Heroin Cheng.

Today,

you risked your life to protect the seal of the academy.

But let me tell you something.

No matter how precious that seal is,

it's not worth one millionth of you.

From now on,

don't put yourself in danger

for it.

And...

And...

Let me say it.

Wen Chenyi.

Actually, I…

Leave the confession

to me.

You said

this is called a movie.

It can record

beautiful moments in life.

That day,

you were like a beam of light

coming down from the sky

and entering my life.

It was nearing sunset.

You looked so pretty in the red gown.

Having met you

is the most beautiful thing

♫The candle is burning out The dawn is breaking♫

that has happened in my life.

♫The moon knows my thoughts♫

I've always longed

♫Life is so long, I hope to spend♫

for my life partner

to pursue the same thing as I do.

♫The rest of my life with you♫

But I didn't expect

♫It's a long way to go♫

you to be illiterate.

My rational mind told me to stay away from you,

♫May I have a lifelong partner♫

but my feelings

led me in the opposite direction.

So what if you're illiterate?

You've been through both good

and bad times with me.

♫Let me be your lover♫

Let's share joyful moments together,

face challenges together,

♫Hope you can get to know my love♫

and stay together for good.

♫Wait for the arrangement of fate♫

♫Let us be together♫

♫It's a long way to go♫

You...

are so special.

♫I want to be with you forever♫

You always say things I don't understand,

and do things I don't understand.

You always surprise me.

And you have a hometown

♫In halcyon days♫

that I've never visited.

You're like

♫I can hug you♫

a book that's always fascinating to read.

♫And give you a happy life♫

Every word is precious.

And every sentence resonates with me.

♫Let's hold hands and grow old together♫

When I see your big eyes

♫Let that story be sloppy♫

and beautiful smile,

I realize that

♫It's worth the love♫

a long life

doesn't seem so difficult after all.

♫It's good that it's you♫

So

he remembered everything I said

♫It's okay to be a little late♫

and everything we've been through.

He has learned it all

by heart.

We're made for each other.

We really are.

Manyi,

♫Let me be your lover♫

♫Hope you can get to know my love♫

♫Wait for the arrangement of fate♫

your ideas

are so whimsical.

♫Let us be together♫

You're brave and heroic,

♫It's a long way to go♫

and you're also kind and sincere.

♫I want to be with you forever♫

In this beautiful world,

where everything changes so quickly,

I feel so fortunate

to have met you.

♫In halcyon days♫

From now on,

everything I write

♫I can hug you♫

and do will be

♫And give you a happy life♫

about you.

♫Let's hold hands and grow old together♫

Wen Chenyi,

thank you.

♫Let that story be sloppy♫

This is my happiest moment

of my life.

♫It's worth the love♫

♫It's good that it's you♫

♫It's okay to be a little late♫

Do you remember this Letter of Commitment?

It marked the beginning of our marriage.

Though it has expired,

will you...

write a new chapter

with me

and let me call you

my wife?

♫In halcyon days♫

Yes, I will.

♫I can hug you♫

♫And give you a happy life♫

I've decided

not to search for the ancient painting anymore.

♫Let's hold hands and grow old together♫

I'm not going back.

♫Let that story be sloppy♫

♫It's worth the love♫

♫It's good that it's you♫

♫It's okay to be a little late♫

Don't worry. Submit to me.

I will be gentle.

And just like that,

we got closer

and closer, gradually,

until there was no distance between us.

And then?

And then we went to bed.

Manyi,

please

give me more details.

I plan to use them

for my next comic book.

I've even thought of a title.

It's called

Bossy wife and her lovestruck husband.

You're good.

It sounds like a bestseller.

Let's print 200 copies to start.

Manyi,

don't change the subject.

Are you going to tell me or not?

Just use your imagination. It will be a lot more fun.

Oh, yeah?

Yeah.

Go to bed now. You can find anything in your dream.

No, Manyi.

Something's off.

Why? What's off?

If you really were so close with my brother,

why are you in my room now?

Aren't you supposed to be sitting on his lap,

looking cute and pretty?

Kids these days are so hard to fool.

Is my brother...

Stop right there.

It has nothing to do with your brother.

Don't worry. I'll be gentle.

What are you doing?

What are you doing?

Luckily, we made it in time.

Manyi,

Yi is injured.

So he shouldn't overwork himself.

Right. According to the almanac, it is better not to do anything today.

So, you two can't sleep in the same bed.

In the same bed?

They shouldn't even be in the same room.

Your mother is right.

Manyi,

you can stay in Chenwei's room for a few days,

until Yi's wound heals.

Honey.

Darling.

Darn it. I was so close.

Manyi,

are you okay?

I'm fine.

I just think we don't need to

finish everything in one day.

We have plenty of time.

Manyi, you are so romantic.

I need to write that down.

You and my brother

have given me so much material for my comic book.

That book is probably

a girls' comic.

The two main characters hated each other at first.

Later, they fell in love.

Although there were misunderstandings,

they worked things out and stayed in love in the end.

Do you think

your brother and I are a perfect match?

I can go see Wen Chenyi now.

Honey.

Ah.

Open your mouth. Let me feed you, darling.

Let me do it.

Ah.

I'll only eat after you've eaten.

Sweet and crispy.

It tastes like love.

You work so hard as a teacher.

You should eat it.

You practice martial arts so hard every day.

You should eat first.

How about this?

We eat it together.

That's a great idea.

-Yong Master. -My lady.

-Sorry about that. -Sorry.

What are you doing?
