it was the perfect time to do both.
I had a small inheritance from my grandfather,
so when I got back home to Missouri,
I bought this amazing, three-story Victorian.
I lived on the second floor,
set up my vintage dress shop on the first floor,
and then I used the basement for storage.

and then my uncle's friend Rusty
offered me a full-time job at his gas station
along Route 160.
It used to be a busy highway stop,
but by the time I got there, it was a ghost town.
The only business left was the gas station.
