The ghost of that little girl was following me.

[screams]

(Lindsey) I am not the one you want.

(Greg) There's just something weird about this place.

I was ready to get the hell out of there.

[faint whispers]

(Greg) It's not really how I remember it.

- You were seven. - Eight. I was eight.

(Greg voice-over) It was toward the end of summer in 2005.

Our great uncle Joe had died and left

me and my older brother Jake his house in New Mexico.

We'd only been to Uncle Joe's house once when we were younger.

Our parents left us with him for a couple days one summer

while they went away on vacation.

Okay, what do you remember?

(Jake) I remember a farm.

The house was a mess.

You based that off what Dad just told us.

I was ten, you were still peeing your pants, all right?

(Jake voice-over) I was a few years older than Greg.

I think that's probably why my memory of the place

is a bit different than his.

It's not as dramatic.

I remembered it just being a weird and messy house, but Greg,

he seemed really scared of the place for some reason.

It was ten-hour drive from Los Angeles,

so we decided to make it a bonding thing.

Left our cell phones, laptops, work behind,

and went to check out and see what exactly we had inherited.

(Greg) It's hard to believe Uncle Joe was a surgeon.

In this town, this is probably considered a mansion.

Door's open. Nice.

This place is weird, man.

(Greg) Definitely.

(Jake) Let's just get inside, find the deed,

and unload this place as fast as we can.

Hey, do you remember Great-Aunt Liz?
