1933 is when the St. Luke's Hospital

in Pasadena, California started having

human beings born into this world.

Thousands over the course of many decades,

and over the duration of that time,

thousands also died there.

[ominous chord strike]

And in 2002, this massive building shut down,

and when all the patients and all the staff left,

well, something truly evil found its way in.

[ominous chord strike]

Because this place

is literally a magnet

for devil worshipping.

[Zak] There are things in this world that we will

St. Luke's Hospital opened in 1933

and became a cornerstone of care

for the city of Pasadena for over six decades.

Then, in the late '90s, St. Luke's fell

on financial hardship and permanently closed its doors

in 2002.

Today, it sits in ruin.

Like a body without a soul, it has become a shell

left to decay.

As the first paranormal team to ever investigate this hospital,

we've been called here by the community because of

the overwhelming amount of devil worshiping happening here

inside this abandoned hospital and acts of calling forth

negative entities in this space.

We know hospitals are the most volatile hosts of

residual energy and suspect there are numerous souls

actively being oppressed by the darkness that has been

recklessly summoned forth.

So, we're here to cut through this negative sludge

in an attempt to aid any innocent spirits who died

and may be stuck here to cross over...

and rest in the peace they ultimately deserve.

Based on the urgency of this investigation, I gather

the guys to discuss a disturbing incident

my research has uncovered.

Is it possible the evil that's so rampant here today

first penetrated St. Luke's religious veil

when a prominent doctor who once worked here

committed a violent and heinous act

nearly 25 years ago?

On November 11th, 1999, Dr. Kevin Anderson,

he was having an affair with another doctor.

He ended up getting her pregnant.

This guy lured her out

to a nearby highway on a cliff in LA.

At this stage, he went crazy.

Many people say that he was possessed.

And he strangled her.

And was gonna set her body on fire,

then push the car over the cliff.

But the car started rolling before he could set the body

on fire, killing her and his unborn child.

Did something cause him to go that crazy?

-[Zak] Exactly. -Did something get in his head and feed off of his anger

and his emotions?

It's very important to hone in on things like this

that have happened in hospitals

that are said to be infested by evil.

With the potential for this dark energy to manipulate people

into acts of violence, I speak with a group of groundskeepers

about the risks posed to them while caring for

the remains of this hospital.

I meet with someone who has reported on the remains

of this hospital for well over a decade.

Talk to me about some of the people breaking in here

and what they've been doing in here.

Have you heard about all this devil worship and stuff?

Devil worship, you have people ripping out

the windows, the graffiti,

anything they can to get inside.

The devil worship that's going on here, what do you think

about that? -Extremely sad.

Because this was a place of comfort and healing.

I very much missed the lighted cross on the top of the dome

of the hospital.

And when it was completely gone, I felt like this hospital

was never gonna be the same place ever again.

[Zak] Do you think that removing the cross

and all the religious items --

the spirits are now darker?

[Lisa] I think so.

Certainly, I do think some energies and some spirits

would linger.

[Zak] During the course of its decommissioning,

St. Luke's was stripped of its religious protections.

And this act became an unintended first step

that allowed this darkness to take root and eventually

overrun the hospital.

So, you know, the police came out to this building

a hundred times. -A hundred?

One hundred times.

What was this, last year, right?

Last year.

[Zak] For the police to be called to this building

over 100 times is cause for alarm.

Could this entity be broadcasting

its demonic influence over a large part of this region,

summoning dozens upon dozens of people here

to partake in dark incantations and opening portals,

thus creating a vicious cycle

that puts anyone at risk who dares to enter it?

The evil energy in there probably thinks this is

their home, ready to defend the space and very territorial.

We were also made aware that this is the only door

that isn't sealed shut.

So we have to remember how to get back to this door

to exit the building.

And we were also told that there could be vagrants in here

who enter through the roof, which makes us

even more nervous.

It's where they put the dead bodies.

As we're making our way through this massive labyrinth,

I feel like we're wading through a thick, repressive wave

of negative energy that's beginning to create

an oppressive fog all around us.

and killed your girlfriend.

former chapel of St. Luke's, I suspect this one sacred space

has become a hotbed for the occult practices here.

portals, not truly aware that we are being marked by things

of which we cannot see, but things that we can feel

all around us.

or they're actually trying to tell us something.

The graffiti on these walls starts to give us

disturbing messages and commands,

as if some living person who went missing

left these to help any future victims.

this massive building.

Like sickened flies to the web of a predatory spider,

it feels like something doesn't want us to leave.

I begin to wonder if we're all going to be separated.

[Jay] None of this looks familiar to me.

[Zak] That we may be stuck in the bowels of St. Luke's,

unable to get out.

If our lights go dead, we're, like, stuck in here.

-[Jay] This is a giant maze. -[Zak] You'll never find your way out.

It was, like, all black, all black.

and the church didn't feel good, either.

It's weird, it feels like I'm vibrating real fast.

Perhaps we were guided out by one of the souls who were

And as our bodies begin to feel a release and we regain

ourselves from the crushing grip of this force...

Where did Aaron go?

Aaron was here, and then he wasn't.

[Zak]...one of us may not have made it out.

[Zak] After the chaos of last night's investigation,

Aaron finally reemerged from St. Luke's Hospital

in need of immediate medical attention.

Jay just texted me. He left with Aaron.

"Aaron wants me to take him to urgent care."

[Billy] What?

[Zak] Because of Aaron's health scare, we end the night

so he can seek medical treatment.

Aaron?

Fortunately, Aaron was cleared from not having

any serious medical episodes.

And we wonder if the negative entities in this building

had anything to do with his panic and chest pains.

This is night number two of our investigation here

in Pasadena.

Last night was very interesting.

It was very disturbing.

Aaron, you had a moment that became very scary

for all of us. -Yeah.

[Aaron] Dude, my heart hurts.

I'm starting to get, like, this cave because we can't get out.

But look, literally, I'm getting chest pains.

All the muscles in my chest started tightening, so I felt

like my ribs were gonna implode crack on me.

And then it started going up and really hitting right tight,

right here in my neck.

Those are symptoms of a heart attack.

Because that was a very scary experience,

I wanna talk to one of the owners of the hospital

before we go back in there.

We had kind of a concern yesterday.

We went in through the door, and we started

kind of exploring.

All of a sudden, all of us felt a wave of weird,

chaotic energy, and we just started feeling affected.

I don't feel good, you guys, at all.

[Jay] This place is pretty [bleep] up.

[Zak] And we couldn't find our way out.

Doesn't get any worse than this.

[Billy] It's like a nightmare.

-Yeah. -[Zak] It felt like...

something else wanted us to be lost.

and it's just kind of a sense of chaos.

Like your heart starts pounding, you don't know where

the exit is, and you're just trying to figure out

what the next steps are, but you're just kind of

We were also sensing some pockets of these cold spots,

unexplained electromagnetic energy, particularly when

I went to the chapel. -[Jocelyn] Yes.

I actually felt the same cold spot in the chapel.

Yeah, there's those two doorways that were right behind

the stage and it goes down another hallway.

So we are gonna be going night-vision this time.

We have already discussed the dangers

associated with this. We're gonna try our hardest

to prevent what happened last night,

the chaos and getting lost.

But as we heard from the property manager,

this happens to her and other people

that go in here for work as well.

As we enter, Aaron, Billy, and myself will head to

the upper floors, while Jay and Jeff conduct experiments

down here on the massive main floor.

OK, right now, we have just entered the hospital.

Bill is going and grabbing some more cameras,

setting them up on top.

Zak and I are staying here, on the second floor, right?

We just got in here, and I already kind of

feel confused.

So, we're just placing cameras while investigating,

because you never know what happens.

Stuff happens all the time when we investigate

as we're setting up.

here is a UV grid light.

So you can actually see it's gonna create

a whole grid of UV lights.

So if this door moves again or if anything moves in and out

of the door or past the door, you'll see it actually pass

through this grid of UV light.

And same thing, you can shoot this one down the hall

a little bit.

So pretty much if anything's moving down this hall

by this doorway... you're gonna catch it. -[Jeff] Yes.

[Zak] Jeff also wants to leave a ground tracking drone

inside of the room. -This is a ground drone.

It's basically used for tracking.

What it does is it can pick up a human, an animal,

or anything else.

It'll pick it up, and when it does, it tracks it,

and it will follow it.

Now, if it starts getting too close to it, it will back up,

and then if it moves away, it follows it again

until it disappears. -[Jay] It's all based on movement?

Watch as I capture these two anomalies

that appear to be peeking out around the corner.

The shape of them are very strange,

and the black-colored tips represent very cold temperature.

We've never seen anything like this before.

After continuing to scan the hospital, we find

no living persons inside here with us.

The evidence we collected inside this hospital proves

without a doubt that our energy transitions to another form

that can not only be detected and seen by our equipment,

but can also interact with us using

our communication devices.
