My name is Kyle Davis, and I am from Prince George, Virginia.

What the hell have you been doing?

Yeah. I was raising kids for a while,

but before that, I had a had a record deal with Phil Ramone.

Of course you did. Nice.

Kyle: I've put out a couple of records and toured a ton.

Took a break in the early 2000s and had kids.

After I decided to stay home,

I entered into the real estate industry.

As my kids got older, they started singing, and

it kind of inspired me to fall back in love with music again.

My oldest daughter put in videos for me to be on "The Voice."

It was my idea only for the first few rounds.

He didn't know about this, but here we are today,

and I knew he would make it right here.

I'm not surprised in the least.

like one of the voices like a Bono,

one of the voices that's so special

and has that perfect amount of storytelling,

I get when I hear you sing, I was just enjoying it so much,

and I have a feeling I'd probably be the best coach

for you, just because I do believe

that we have a lot of taste in common.

I'm singing a song that's more mature,

and I haven't really gone through those feelings

as a 14-year-old, but I do think

since I was 3 years old.

I actually work in corporate finance.

My reason for asking is there's timing issues.

I can remember when I started playing venues

that were big enough I had to have a band,

it was a whole different thing.

It was really tough. So there's a little bit, I think,

that you can definitely improve on there.

But hang in there with it, man. I'm happy for you.

So I do assistant work,

I've worked at a rage room sweeping up glass.

I am ready and willing to do whatever it takes

to make my dreams come true, which is why I hustle how I do.

Season 30 feels like

perfect timing for me. [ Exclaims indistinctly ]

I love that "The Voice" has created such opportunity

for so many vocalists of so many different walks of life,

because it's hard enough trying to do it on your own.

It's been mentally and spiritually a journey.

I have sacrificed a great amount of comfort.

For the past year and a half, I have lived in my car.

I keep all my things in storage.

I pack the bag I need for the week, and I keep it moving.

I could absolutely go home and be comfortable,

but it means so much more that I'm doing

exactly what I feel like I'm supposed to be doing.

I'm extremely proud of you, Amanda.

Every time you take the stage, you do it with such confidence,

and you stand 10 toes down in it.
