The Three Musketeers

[Previously]

Park Dal Hyang's Memoir.

I'm Park Dal Hyang from Gangwondo.

What are your names?

The three musketeers.

She is married to the Crown Prince of this country.

Congratulations...

...for passing the exam.

How dare the enemy...

...insult me again?

The enemy brought a letter...

...calling their king an emperor and changing our relationship...

...from friendship to a master and servant.

They're here.

I just saw Mi Ryung.

How is that possible?

How will you protect this country?

It'll be hard to work for this country...

...during these times.

Bang Bang Eui.

Have you ever been there?

You find the woman you lost that night.

Her name is Mi Ryung.

She might call herself Hyang Sun.

Don't you have...

...a letter to find?

Now carry out my order.

I'll behead him myself!

Bring it on.

Listen to me.

Save Yong Gol Dae's head.

Before it's sent back to Ming.

You're not...

...being loved?

How dare you!

The King's order comes first.

Draw your sword.

I won.

They found out about me.

Wake up!

You said someone promised loyalty to the enemy?

Can I hold you accountable for this report?

He could even be inside here right now.

I found her.

Is she a court lady from the Princess' court?

Yes.

Court Lady Kim is dead?

I'm sorry...

...but I just identified the body.

I don't...

...understand what you are saying.

She got stabbed outside the palace?

Why?

I think she's the one who stole the letter.

I told others that she was robbed.

I know you're shocked...

...but you must stay strong.

How much do you know about this?

I try not to ask since the Prince seemed unhappy...

...but I can't tolerate this anymore.

Who is this woman?

Why is she wandering around me?

Say it!

Her name is Mi Ryung.

Who is she?

She was selected as the wife of the Prince before you.

But didn't she die?

I thought that's why I was selected instead.

But she was alive.

How?

I heard she hung herself.

Then it wasn't true?

Why in the world...

Your Highness.

That Mi Ryung we knew is dead for sure.

But...

But?

Her servant, Hyang Sun...

...is alive.

Her real name is Hyang Sun.

Everyone knows her as Mi Ryung though.

[Episode 7: Mi Ryung and Hyang Sun]

It's been a while.

I didn't know you were alive.

How have you been?

How?

What do you think?

What are you curious about?

My last 5 years?

Or...

...how I didn't die that night?

Both.

I heard...

...you hung yourself.

Right.

My servants helped me got hung on a rafter.

Saying it was the Prince's order.

Kill yourself.

No!

I don't want to die!

I didn't do anything wrong!

Let me meet the Prince!

Just once!

Let me talk to him please!

Light a fire.

Want me to die?

You'll let me die like this?

No!

No!

Fire!

Get up!

It's fire!

Everyone abandoned me.

But one servant saved me.

Now you're dead.

There's no Mi Ryung nor Hyang Sun.

I saved you.

Thank you.

So now...

...you're mine.

What are you doing?

You didn't know?

I really like you!

When you were dating the Prince...

...pretending you were the daughter of our master...

...I was devastated.

I knew this would happen.

You can't love the person that's not meant for you.

But we're well suited.

Don't touch me.

Stop!

I knew it then.

That all men are the same.

They pretend to be sincere...

...but they always have their own purpose.

They're all the same.

Whether it's a servant or a prince.

So I killed him.

I made it look like a suicide.

This time...

...it helped to let my case buried.

I suffer no guilt.

I didn't do anything wrong.

It was all of you that used me.

I never asked to be Mi Ryung.

But they forced me to.

I just did what they told me...

...since I was only a slave!

I didn't want to die...

...for something I had no choice in.

So I ran away from this country with all my might.

I almost died.

- Excuse me! - Yes.

Now you feel better?

I'm going to Later Jin, do you want to come with me?

Of course.

I pity you, so I won't take money.

I've used my body to cross the border.

Then I learned how to control men.

With that, I even became the 6th wife...

...of one of the wealthiest Manchu men.

What's going on?

Something is wrong with him!

He won't wake up!

Sir!

Sir!

He's dead...

Master is dead!

Thankfully he died early.

So I took my share.

After I had money and time...

...I thought of you.

The first man who made me into who I am now.

So I met Kim Ja Jum.

I needed...

...a connection to meet the Prince

And he needed a spy who speaks Manchu.

But...

...I didn't know...

...I'd see you again so easily.

I was going to approach you...

...slowly and quietly to surprise you.

It must be so horrible for you.

The woman you thought dead is alive.

No.

I was glad to see you alive.

I regretted the last 5 years everyday.

For having...

...ordered your death like that.

Lie.

You came here to pay me back?

Fine.

This is your chance.

Do you think I'm still that innocent Mi Ryung?

Do you even know how I'm going to...

- ...pay you? - Either way.

I have no words for you.

Yeah?

So, you're okay...

...with whatever?

You'll regret this.

Stop.

Step outside.

I have a sword too.

I'll take care of it.

No way.

No servant would back up after seeing this.

Don't interrupt.

It's between us.

Get out.

Does it hurt?

Does it hurt a lot?

How much?

A lot?

Just like when I was hung?

Not that much, right?

I missed you.

Has the Prince replied yet?

No, sir.

No reply.

All day? No response...

[Kim Ja Jum: Leader of the rebellion]

I gave him until tonight.

Should we prepare the back-up plan?

Are you watching the library closely?

Yes, sir.

And the Prince hasn't returned to the palace after visiting here.

He is out of options anyway.

He'll come to me, for sure.

Let's wait a bit more.

Do you want a drink?

Are you okay?

Leave with her.

Kim Ja Jum will attack soon.

Leave immediately.

Don't stop and go straight to the border crossing.

And never...

...come back to this country.

Got it?

Let's go.

What is he talking about?

He said Kim Ja Jum will attack us!

What have you done?

Let's find the doctor first.

It's been too long.

The bleeding stopped, it will be alright.

Wait.

Don't go after them.

Let them go.

They poisoned court ladies...

...and killed Court Lady Kim as well.

And they stabbed you twice.

We can't let the murderers get away.

I got the letter back.

So we don't need to go after her.

And let the authorities take care of murderers.

You claimed it was yours...

...so you take care of it.

Now you've learned about *Hanyang.

[Hanyang: City of the Palace]

In this city, you never reminisce about your first love.

Look what happened to me by doing that.

Where are you going?

I'm going to the teacher's house.

You've completed your mission.

You may continue your journey.

You've done it well...

...faster than I expected.

I was going to include you in my team...

...once you complete this mission.

But I guess our destiny ends here.

Too bad.

Actually...

...the Princess asked me to keep you away from me.

Though I'm not sure who that's for.

Good bye.

I'll take you to his house.

It's okay, it's close.

Allow me.

I want to go alone.

Later, Park Dal Hyang...

...wrote of that day.

The Prince's words were all correct.

The King's order was only an excuse.

I didn't like him from the start.

I was upset that he took my woman.

And he didn't even love her.

It seemed he didn't deserve my loyalty...

...or my woman's devotion.

But that day...

...I changed my mind...

...seeing him covered in blood.

I knew that his first love, like mine, was in his heart.

Maybe that woman, Mi Ryung was the same.

Your Highness!

Your Highness!

Who is it?

- It's...the Prin... - Hush.

Where's the minister?

Sir!

Sir!

What's going on?

What?

Oh my.

What's going on?

[Choi Myung Gil: The Prince's teacher]

What happened?

He's been stabbed.

He's bled a lot.

Is anyone out there?

Yes, sir.

I think the Prince has chosen the wrong side.

I was too hopeful.

I guess it's like father, like son.

I need to go to the palace. Get ready.

Are you going to tell the King about Yong Gol Dae?

It's not an easy card to toss away.

But...

...we will abandon the Prince here.

It won't be too hard.

Suspicion is the King's best friend.

And I've sent him a warning.

[King Injo: Joseon's 16th king.]

In order to capture Yong Gol Dae...

...we must identify the betrayers within.

Our real enemy is not Later Jin, but the traitors!

Maybe they're in a higher position...

...than we think.

Maybe they are inside the palace even now.

No, not him.

Sim Gi Won...no.

Yoon Ji..no.

Juh Won, no way.

Your Majesty.

Are you looking for something?

- Please tell me... - Kim...

No. He has no guts.

Yoon Jung Ho...

Kim Sang Chun?

No!

Choi Myung Gil.

Choi Myung Gil.

No, he's a straight man.

No way.

Your Majesty, what's wrong?

They're not here!

Who is it?

Who is deceiving me!

Get the Prince.

I'd like to discuss this with him.

Yes, Your Majesty.

How dare he not come when he's right here!

Father.

That day.

It was that day.

What?

That day of the letter...

Maybe they're in a higher position...

...than we think.

The real Mi Ryung's body was found in a well.

Your Highness!

Please kill me!

What's wrong?

Get up.

It's all my fault!

I should've died...

...but my dear daughter died instead!

Hyang Sun will be...

...my scar forever!

Your Highness.

Eunuch Koo is here.

Let him in.

Is he here yet?

No, not yet...

Don't tell him about what I learned.

He doesn't want me to know about Hyang Sun.

I understand.

But, Your Highness.

The King is looking for you.

Me?

Why?

He was looking for the Prince...

...and I told him he's over at Mr. Choi's house.

We should let the palace know.

What do you mean?

The wound isn't too deep, and he'd have been fine if the bleeding had been stopped...

...but he's bled too much.

We need real doctors.

It's dangerous.

This will be the great flaw in my history.

Let's move him to the palace.

Call the doctors.

But how should we report this?

People know the betrayer is wounded.

Kim Ja Jum is on the way to palace by now.

The King will suspect him.

Right.

Before we save Yong Gol Dae's head...

...we'll lose all of ours.

You're right.

Then our only choice is Kim Ja Jum.

Even if we have to beg him, we have no choice.

We must survive first...

But the Prince said...

...he wouldn't work with him.

He even said we should get rid of him.

What should we do now?

We have no choice!

He's in danger now!

Where did you two go?

Who did it?

Why it was just you two? What's going on?

I'm not allowed to say...

Do you even understand the situation?

The next King is in da.nger!

After going out with you...

...he's covered in blood with no explanation!

Tell me all you know.

Who did it?

What is this?

He jeopardized his life for this.

Did you buy Kim Ja Jum's man?

How did you get this information?

Sir.

Let me ask one thing.

What is it to protect the country?

What?

You asked me...

...to think about how I'd protect our country.

I've thought long and hard, but there was no answer.

The more I thought, the more confused I became.

Yes, I understand that the government is full of opportunists.

But...

...I don't know what's the right way.

Is what the Prince is doing right?

Is protecting Yong Gol Dae...

...worth the life of the Prince?

I know it's to prevent the war...

...but it's also deceiving the King.

Can the purpose overrule the process?

History will judge if our choice was right.

But we can't say those who let others die...

...are right either.

I won't forgive them.

That's my answer.

Even if it's the King?

That's for you to answer.

I have my answer.

You make your own answer.

You have the choice.

If you take their justification...

...you serve the government with all your heart...

...and take the opportunistic path...

...you to to Kim Ja Jum...

...and you'll likely become successful.

If you take practicality, you'll help us.

If you don't want any of them...

...you may leave here as a commoner.

What is that, teacher?

We have a way out now.

You must be punished for not...

...protecting the Prince.

And what will you do?

How will you protect the country?

Decide here.

I will...

Step aside.

What?

What are you doing?

Why are you pouring alcohol...

You pack.

- We need to go. - What do you mean?

But we need to save him...

It's a way to save him.

So pack immediately.

Get a gun.

What's going on?

What is it?

Is it war?

We need more people. So come with me.

Where are we going?

Where are we going with a gun?

Is my wife sleeping now?

Wife. Dear.

Get up.

Hey.

It's been a while.

You become prettier everyday.

You look like a goddess.

When did you come in?

I have an urgent matter.

Can I borrow some money?

What?

300 nyang will be good.

Don't you have it?

300 nyang.

You've returned home after days!

And the first thing you ask for is money!

You think it's easy to make money?

Relax.

Wow, you look so sexy.

Let me hug you...

Get off me!

Come on.

Lend it to me.

We might not be able to see me for awhile.

What?

The authorities are around.

Once we shoot a gun, they'll be here quickly.

You guys...

...are you ready to die with your master?

What's this in the middle of night?

I should've gone with Mr. Park Dal Hyang!

Here or there, it's the same.

He's still here.

What?

Excuse me!

Are you Sir Kim Ja Jum?

So?

I'm here with the Prince's reply.

He just now made his decision?

I almost met with the King since he was so late.

By the way, I've never seen you.

Who are you?

I'm Park Dal Hyang from Gangwondo.

I'm asking your position.

Your position?

I don't have one yet.

I'm not official.

How can you do this work then?

That's not important here.

Read that first.

Bring the fire.

This is not the Prince's handwriting.

Minister Choi Myung Gil wrote it for him.

Choi Myung Gil?

Why is he involved again?

I have a list of all the names and money sources....

...who promised their loyalty to Later Jin.

Who has the upper hand now?

Now we both know each other's weaknesses.

So let's keep quiet.

The Prince politely refuses your offer.

This is his answer.

So he took his time just to say this?

He thinks he can threaten me with it?

How?

How is this proof?

It's only a copy.

Of course not.

That's why we gave it to you.

What?

The real one with your signature is in the hands of the Prince.

Open the door!

Open it!

Hello, Sir.

Is your master here?

He's in the palace.

You should head that way.

No.

I'm not here for him.

I'm here for the money that belongs to me.

Money?

My money.

My lost money. 300 nyang.

What are you saying?

Are you drunk?

Yep.

So what?

- What are you doing? - Guys!

Go in and find my money!

Yes, sir!

What is this sound?

It's there!

It's there!

I knew I'd need it.

The real one you hid in your room.

Sir!

The guards are here! What should we do now?

You go out and hand this to the teacher.

You'll die if you lose this.

Sir.

I finally found it, my 300 nyang!

Then.

Wait.

So, I've had it all this time.

I admit it, but let me ask you one thing.

Who is it that gave you this information?

My father used to tell me back home.

"Be careful of a woman."

The Prince will give in eventually.

It will go as we planned.

Yeah?

That's good.

He's better than his father...

...but he's still a kid.

He's probably scared by now.

So we'll continue with the plan.

Let me know if you need anything.

I'll spare no expense for you.

I will.

It was that witch, Hyang Sun.

She was with them.

What?

Where is she staying right now?

I'm here.

The Prince is not in his palace?

No.

He went to meet his teacher, Choi Myung Gil.

We gave him a notice, so he'll be back soon.

Are you telling me the truth?

What?

You must tell me nothing but the truth.

15 days ago, I went to his room...

...since he didn't come when I called him.

Everyone said he was drunk...

...and sleeping deeply.

So did you.

Yes, sir.

Is that the truth?

He didn't go outside of the palace?

What...are you...

He went out, but arrived right before I entered that room.

Tell me the truth.

Answer me!

Your Majesty.

Why all of sudden...

Why do you hesitate? I'm only asking...

Were there any lies?

No, it's not...

You're lying! You're shaking now!

What did you lie about?

All of the Prince's people have lied to me!

Is he really...

...part of the conspiracy?

No way!

- How can... - Should I...

...have to suspect my own son?

Why do you make me so miserable?

Tell me it's not true!

Tell me there was something else.

Why don't you even make an excuse?

What happened that day!

Your Majesty.

The Head Guard is here.

What's going on?

He said it's urgent.

Let him in.

What's going on?

Your Majesty.

There's someone who'd like to see you...

...saying that the Prince is in danger.

Danger?

What kind?

He said it's a secret, he will only tell you.

Come inside.

Who are you?

I've seen you before.

I'm Park Dal Hyang from Yungjubdogam department.

He's the one who shot the horse at the exam.

Oh, right!

It was you who made the mess.

But what's going on?

He's in danger?

He was stabbed and seriously injured.

What did you just say?

We prepared a secret room here for her.

Open it.

Turn the light on.

It's blood.

There must have been a fight.

Where did this witch go?

Sir.

There's someone there.

Isn't it the Prince?

Is he dead?

He's not dead.

What is this...

Why would the Prince here?

What is...

This way! Get out!

The Prince is here!

Take care of the Prince!

Your Highness!

Now!

You're Minister Kim.

Why are you here?

Why are you here right now?

I don't know.

Why is he here?

Weren't you at the parlor?

I don't remember, I was too drunk.

What?

He got into a fight after gambling?

He's into gambling these days...

...so no one could stop him.

He made a secret room...

...and used to have big games.

Tonight was big betting too and a fight occurred.

But the guy didn't recognize the Prince...

- ...and he stabbed... - Who did it?

They usually don't exchange names there.

I just know he's a rich man...

...that's all.

Heo Seung Po chased after him to find that money.

And the Prince left and fought then...

You guys!

I'm just trying to get my money back!

I'm serving the Prince.

How dare you tie me up like this?

Shut up!

Don't listen to him!

We don't serve the Prince! No!

How can those people work for the government?

Then when he disappeared last time...

...it was for gambling?

Did you know about it?

Is that why you lied...?

I'm so sorry.

It's all my fault!

I couldn't stop him...

How can he gamble in this situation?

How pathetic!

Pathetic!

You, Guards, bring the Prince immediately!

Yes, sir!

They said they found the Princes' officials.

Where?

They were in Kim Ja Jun's house and caused some problems...

...trying to find their lost money.

Let's go with this first.

Where?

Why?

The King is furious now.

He said he's going to punish everyone involved today.

You'd need to explain...

...why you were here to him.

Take him!

Yes, sir.

With him!

Take them to the authority!

Who are you again?

I'm Park Dal Hyang from Gangwon do.

Park Dal Hyang.

I'll remember that name.

The Prince had his hidden people.

I didn't see that part.

Hyang Sun and Park Dal Hyang.

It's getting interesting.

Right.

This is what the Prince is like.

He can't live by himself.

He needs people.

I'll see you again.

Get off me.

Get off.

I'll go on my own.

One, two, three!

Your Highness.

Are you okay?

Your Highness.

We're on our way to the palace. Please stay strong.

What happened?

Get out of the way!

Come this way!

Wait.

How are you feeling?

Why are you still here?

I'm not going home.

I can't go home.

I heard how you tricked me.

So that bet doesn't count.

When you get stronger...

...we'll fight again.

You'll live in the prison the rest of your life.

How will you compete with me again?

You'll release me...

...since I'm your guy.

You won't leave me alone.

Who said you're my guy?

That's what everyone thinks.

Mi Ryung, Kim Ja Jum and the King.

So you have no choice.

I'm your man.

I'm not that flexible of a person.

So if I decide one way, I only see that way.

So please prove it.

That my choice was...

...right.

Your Highness.

We need to go.

Let's go.

Hurry.

Are you Hyang Sun?

How do you know me?

You're the only person who can help the Prince.

What can I help?

Reconcile?

With that enemy?

People are easy to get confused.

And they'll be shaken by horror!

That's the people's mind!

Don't show yourself to me until I call you.

Wait!

Wait!

Does it hurt?

You've gone through a lot.

I'm...

...your wife.
