The Three Musketeers

[Previously]

Do I...

...have to carry out this mission?

Whether you like it or not...

...know the purpose...

...or put your life in danger...

...you must do your best.

And I like you.

So don't worry.

You won't die.

Tell the Prince that...

...he'll be next.

Please behead Yong Gol Dae...

...and show your position!

Is that what you think?

Let's go to Mohwaguan.

Listen...

...all my people here!

I'm...

...outraged for these people...

...who have broken our relationship...

...and mention a king and servant relationship.

So, I'll behead...

...Yong Gol Dae and show...

...our position to the world.

All the soldiers here come out and arrest him!

I'll behead him myself!

General! Please hide!

The King ordered your beheading.

He's got us. Run, General.

- It's him! - Get him!

Where are you going?

Move.

Unless you want to die.

They said capture you.

It's the King's order.

This is my first day.

And I got...

...poisoned by a girl on my first day.

But...

...he said the King's order comes first.

Right, the King's order first.

My other mission comes after you.

Bring it on.

Listen to me.

We have to get him first.

- What? - What?

Protect Yong Gol Dae.

We can't let his head be sent back to his country.

[Episode 5: A duel]

Find him.

He's not that far!

Yes, sir!

Catch him now!

This way.

What are you doing here?

Have you seen Yong Gol Dae?

He's running that way.

Go tell the soldiers.

- And you follow me. - Yes, sir.

Over here!

He just went that way!

Find him!

Find him!

This way!

He jumped here.

It's high.

Don't worry.

Everyone's looking for him.

We'll catch him.

That's the problem.

What?

He's really Yong Gol Dae.

How can he be that fast?

He's like a ghost...

Did they say we can kill him?

Yes, if we can't capture him, they said we can.

- Fire. - Yes, sir.

Hurry up!

It's a gun shot!

Let's go!

Would he be shot?

Did we catch him?

Is he dead?

We'll check, Your Majesty.

What was that?

Something was thrown...

Where...

Why you?

I feel bad, now.

How come we still don't have him?

The order was made hours ago.

What's taking so long?

Hundreds of soldiers can't find one man?

I'm sorry, but it got dark.

And the mountain makes it hard to find one man.

All the soldiers are searching for him.

We've blocked every path out...

...so we'll hear good news soon.

You just now blocked the paths?

Don't you know who he is?

He's probably in his country by now!

Your Majesty.

This is the worst case scenario I worried about.

The envoy team knows that you ordered his beheading.

What's worse, Yong Gol Dae has disappeared.

Even if we send his head after capture him, war will erupt.

If he makes it back alive, he'll tell the King everything...

...and the war will erupt no matter what.

You're still afraid of them?

The war has already started.

They're not our brothers anymore, but enemies!

The King also declared that to the whole country!

Yong Gol Dae is not captured yet.

So the war is not started yet, either.

Your Majesty.

We need to release the envoy team first.

We have to calm them down.

And, we must order the soldiers to capture Yong Gol Dae alive.

Once we capture him, we can talk about what to do.

Are we starting this fight again?

It would shame Joseon to turn over the order!

How can you not know them?

Your Highness.

It's from Heo Seung Po.

Stop!

Stop, I said stop.

Oh my...

You need to say you're awake!

You scared me to death!

What happened?

Why am I here?

The government office contacted me and said to bring you home.

My heart dropped.

I heard what happened at Mohwaguan...

...so I thought...

...they told me to bring your body.

I thought I had to prepare a funeral for my master on my first day.

How about Yong Gol Dae? Did we catch him?

No, he vanished without trace.

Just like that.

Master. Are we going to have a war?

Again?

How can a mere officer know?

Why was I born to this time?

You need to eat.

Should I bring food?

There's someone helping Yong Gol Dae.

What?

Who would that be?

What?

Right. What is this?

It was in your pocket.

Why do you have a needle?

Don't touch it!

Do you want to die?

What?

Get me some clothes. I need to go somewhere.

Where now?

Your Highness.

The Prince just came out of his room.

Is he coming here?

No, he's headed to *Gyebang.

[Gyebang: Military Office that works for the Prince]

Your Highness!

What brings you here?

I need to tell you something...

Your Highness!

What brings you here?

I need to tell you something...

Are you okay?

Oh, yes.

If you keep doing this...

...they'll think the talisman is really effective.

Do you keep falling to be a good daughter?

No way.

I just tripped...

Are you here because of the rumor?

Nothing happened.

So don't worry.

Nothing will happen.

It's not about that.

It's about me.

Right now?

I actually waited for you all day.

I didn't get a chance...

What's it about?

Go ahead.

It's...

...actually...

...I made a mistake.

Mistake?

What kind?

That's...

What is it?

I guess it's a big mistake.

Actually...

...it's nothing.

- Nothing? - Well.

I'll tell you later.

Tell me. You said you waited all day.

No, it's OK.

Don't worry about it.

I'll stop by later.

No!

It's okay!

Just pretend nothing happened.

He'll know if you tell him I have something to report.

What is it about?

I can't tell you anymore than that.

Okay.

Wait here.

What are you doing here?

I'm here to see the Crown Prince.

Why?

I can't...

...tell you that.

Why are you two still involved with each other?

I'm sorry...

...but I can't tell you that either.

By the way...

...did you lose the letter?

- Ms. Kim. - Yes, Your Highness.

Tell the girls to stay away.

I'm sorry?

The Princess would like to talk to you.

Your Highness.

He's here.

Let him in.

Please go in.

How did you know that I lost the letter?

Was it...

...you?

No.

Then?

I saw who has it.

Who?

Why?

I can't...

...tell you whom. But...

...I'm sure it'll be used against you.

I'm telling you...

...to be careful of your people.

One of your servants...

...is a spy.

You need to find the spy.

Why... why didn't you burn that letter?

You said you burned it.

Don't dare to think otherwise.

I just...

...wanted to keep it for a while because I missed my youth.

Does the Prince know?

I'm here to tell him.

I have to tell him.

I can't tell you...

...the reason though.

Please hurry and find the spy.

This is for your own safety.

Your Highness.

Are you listening?

I said you have to find the spy.

How dare you!

Why are you crying?

I hate here.

It's always been like this here.

You can't trust anyone.

It's all secret.

There are walls everywhere.

You're not...

...being loved?

Love?

What' is that?

You're talking nonsense now.

What should I do now?

If I get kicked out of here...

...my family will be in trouble too.

And you...

Why am I so stupid?

It's not your fault.

Find the spy.

That's your first task.

I'll take care of things outside.

Trust me.

Your Highness!

Is she inside?

No...yes.

No, yes?

She's inside.

Tell her then.

Your Highness!

The Prince is here.

Your Highness, why all of sudden...

You seemed flustered.

Now I'm curious.

What mistake did you make?

Let me hear it.

That is...

Were you crying?

No.

What mistake could be so bad...

...it would even make you cry?

Is it something like this?

Something like...

...bringing a man to your room?

That's why I can't let you on my team.

What did I tell you?

I was right.

- It's not like that. - Wait.

Let me think about this time before I make a decision.

For the letter...

...I forgave you with mercy.

But instead of being grateful...

...you complained.

Saying how I had a problem...

...because I wasn't jealous.

Then...

...I should show what a husband would do this time.

That letter...

...someone stole that letter.

It's my mistake, I didn't get rid of it.

I was going to tell you...

...but I was too scared.

That's why I went to see you before.

And he...

...came to tell me that.

It's all my fault!

Who stole that letter?

That...

...I still don't...

It's the woman...

...you're were looking for.

I had to check with the princess first.

I didn't want to cause her trouble again...

...so I hid here.

That's all that happened.

Who is that woman?

Get out.

Your Highness!

Don't worry, Your Highness.

The Crown Prince won't make a scene about this.

What do you mean?

Because the Crown Prince caused this.

Tell me from the beginning, tell me everything.

Yong Gol Dae had her as a hostage.

She entered Mohwaguan disguised...

...as a wife of vice general, but...

...she escaped right after.

Did you check her face?

Yes, it was the same woman.

As you said, she introduced herself as Hyang Sun.

And?

She knew that you'd send someone.

Also about me and the Princess.

She knew everything.

I tried to catch her, but...

...she used this poison needle.

She killed another servant with this too

She's a scary woman.

Did she say anything?

She told me to tell you this.

Remember that feeling of poison spreading through your body.

Be sure to tell the Prince about it.

Because he'll be the next.

Anything else?

Want some advice?

You don't have to be...

...loyal to the Crown Prince.

He's not worth...

...risking your life for.

You'll become like me in the end.

Why aren't you speaking?

Anything else?

She was copying the letter from the Princess.

She was planning something.

Who is she?

Why is she trying to hurt us?

And why were you trying to kill her before?

Five years ago...

...what happened?

Please tell me.

I can't continue without knowing something.

And this is about...

...the Princess's safety too.

I'll worry about her.

That letter is mine.

It's my fault too.

You're saying that letter is yours.

Are you saying that the Princess's heart is still yours?

Why does it sound like you're claiming her?

I admire your innocent heart...

...but that's enough.

I won't tolerate it anymore.

You must always listen to my words carefully.

Whether it's a joke...

...or not.

Your Highness.

The officers are here.

Okay.

Go back for now.

We'll talk about this later.

I have more urgent matters than Mi Ryung.

Mi Ryung did?

Search all the Princess' servants.

Their families and friends too.

Report anything to me.

It's dangerous, so be extra careful.

Yes, Your Highness.

Your Highness.

The Crown Prince is here.

It's all my fault.

I was just keeping it...

...as a memory from my youth.

But I was stupid.

- It's all my fault so... - No.

It's my fault.

It's all my fault.

You don't have to be sorry.

Why is it your fault?

If anything happens because of this...

...I'll protect you.

I'll be siding with you, so don't worry.

Trust me.

Did Park Dal Hyang said the same thing?

"Don't worry, trust me."

I guess he did.

How dare he.

I hate it here.

You're saying that letter is yours.

Are you saying that the Princess's heart is still yours?

Love?

What is that?

You're talking nonsense.

I'm sorry...

Wow, who's here!

My friend Park Dal Hyang!

What brings you here?

Oh, I was called...

Who called you?

The Princess?

Oh really?

Wow, already?

Right, to live in the city...

...a secret love is a must.

What did she say?

She missed you?

Don't speak nonsense.

I'm here to report.

To the Crown Prince? What report?

Ask him.

Then.

Then, we'll see you again.

We're busy too.

I think someone dropped it...

It's mine.

I'll see you later.

Long time no see, General.

I'm sorry for the rough transport.

The situation was a bit urgent.

They're my friends who brought you here.

I didn't know I'd see you this way.

Are you not hurt?

I didn't know you spoke our language.

I've studied for awhile now.

I thought it'd be more important than the Ming language.

You know...

...how our government is.

If a Prince speaks Later Jin's language...

...I'll have to make an official apology...

...or, I'll be withdrawn from the position.

So you now know my weakest point.

And this shows my position about today's incident as well.

I kidnapped you to protect you.

If you're looking for an ally in Joseon...

...I'm better than Kim Ja Jum.

I wanted to tell you this.

I've known of you for about 10 years.

About that long, yes.

But I never imagined you'd talk about this.

I told you.

I don't want to be kicked out...

...before I even gain the throne.

And I don't want an unnecessary war.

I believe you met with...

...Kim Ja Jum for that reason.

Where are we by the way?

Where do you think?

It's... a library.

It's my private library.

I brought you to my palace.

You're inside the palace.

[Sigangwon: Department for Prince's education.]

I couldn't leave you in the mountain...

...as the search intensified.

Your Highness.

It's from Heo Seung Po.

[Captured alive]

What brings you here?

We've received no word about Yong Gol Dae so the Crown Prince came to check.

I'm sorry, we're doing our best...

Open the gate.

Open it!

Stop.

How many soldiers are here, and we've still not captured him?

Is this how you carry out the King's order?

I'm sorry.

Hurry up!

If he escapes and makes it to Later Jin...

...it'll be a disaster for us.

We will find him.

Don't worry.

The palace is the only place they haven't searched.

It's the safest place for you right now.

If you're comfortable...

...why don't we sit and talk?

Someone's coming.

What are you doing here again?

I thought you left.

You didn't go back?

I'm here to check something.

Check what?

Earlier today.

Before when I had a chance to kill Yong Gol Dae...

...someone interrupted me.

I was hit by a stone and knocked out.

But I feel like who hurt me is...

...someone I know.

When I was losing consciousness...

...I could feel him wiping the blood on my face.

It looked like...

...your blooded handkerchief.

What is he talking about?

Are you drunk?

And there's more than that.

Why would the Prince...

...visit the field in the middle of night?

With no reason.

And why would the two of you stand here...

...in front of a dark library?

It's very strange.

People say enemies are close to you.

Let me check...

...if Yong Gol Dae is here.

They're talking about something really important now.

The Crown Prince is meeting with Yong Gol Dae now?

Be quiet, it's dangerous.

The King ordered us to kill him.

How can the Crown Prince save him...

...and talk to him?

There's a reason.

Since you're here, you guard here too.

We're on the same team.

How many times did we fight together already?

Last time, I thought it was to catch...

...the betrayers who sided with the enemy!

That's why I helped!

And I was even ready to die there.

But right now, you're no different than Kim Ja Jum.

Politics isn't that simple.

It's to protect our country, so let it go.

I can't.

Whatever the reason is, you're not following the King's order.

It's treason.

Move.

This dude really doesn't get it.

I like you because of your personality but...

...this is too much.

Here.

I'm an officer carrying out the King's order.

Leave.

Put your sword away.

We can't let you come any closer.

If you don't step aside...

...I'll have no choice either.

I have a firm position.

War with Joseon now is...

...a waste of our energy.

The emperor wants to invade Joseon...

...but I'm against this.

What I want is...

...a proper treatment and reply to the letter...

...from our King.

Then it's fine.

You and I see eye to eye.

Now we have to plan...

Why?

You want to stop?

I said step aside!

What are you doing?

Stop it, that's an order!

Why are you here?

Your Highness.

I'm carrying out the King's order.

I'm confident that Yong Gol Dae is here...

...but they're blocking my way.

I have to check inside.

Stop.

I have to check.

I said stop it, it's an order.

I said it's an order.

How dare you?

The King's order comes before yours.

As you told me.

The King's order is the first.

The only order that comes before my order is the King's.

Whether you like it or not...

...know the reason...

...or put your life on the line...

...you must do your best.

Unless it's the King's order.

I'm doing as you told me.

So I'm carrying out the King's order.

So I can't carry out yours.

Please step aside.

If you don't cooperate...

...I'll have to call the authorities.

If I don't, are you going to attack me?

Your eyes are telling me...

...you could.

If you're going against the King's order...

...I have to.

Fine.

Then beat me first.

Hey, what are you doing?

How dare you.

You're not carrying out the King's order...

...but going against me.

I'm only an officer who's trying to fulfill the King's order.

No, you're disobeying me...

...with an excuse of the King's order.

Because you lost a girl to me.

You're being childish...

...not knowing what's going on around you.

Isn't that so?

Am I not right?

- You're not making sense. - I am right.

Let's do this.

Yes, the General's inside.

If you beat me here...

...I'll hand him to you.

Then you'll be...

...recognized and succeed.

But if I win...

...all of the kindness I shown you will be canceled.

Your passing the exam will also be canceled.

You can just go back home right away.

How is that?

Isn't that a good bet...

...as we live an unpredictable life?

It's not the time for a bet!

If we make noise here someone will come.

Draw your sword.

I can't fight against you.

Please step aside.

You don't want to fight?

Even if you fight well, you're not a soldier who fights for a living.

Yeah?

Then how about being killed by a non-soldier?

What are you doing?

Don't interrupt.

It's an order.

Am I still funny?

Right.

This is your real intention.

Do you want to accept the bet?

If you say so, I will.

This is crazy.

Behind you!

I can't help.

Stop it!

We have to protect you.

If you don't stop...

Stop!

What are you doing?

Step aside.

It's a bet between men.

It's dangerous.

Please step aside.

I said stop it!

That's jealousy.

Jealousy.

He deserves to die.

He's sitting there peacefully and writing a poem.

Where is he?

- No need to know. - They changed the lock.

It's a warning.

Do you want to try the bet again?

Draw your sword.

Do you want to stop the war?

We can't stop it.

Your Highness.

You and I...

...can be the next power.

I'll give you until tonight.

You said we have betrayers who side with the enemy?

Are you really saying you'll be responsible for it?

Maybe...

...he's here even now.
