We both love her so much,

and fought

for her affection.

But she

already had someone else in her heart.

Nonsense!

You trapped me here.

When I broke free,

I stumbled into the Purgatory Pool.

Guess what I saw?

I saw a crack

of Yuanjun cracked.

Impossible!

Impossible!

If the divine heart shatters,

then...

Yuan...

Yuanjun would no longer be a deity!

Every full moon,

she consumes human hearts.

Take a guess,

who brought those hearts for her?

How is that possible?

Jade Maiden and I

share a spiritual bond.

How could she hide this from me?

Who in this mountain

could sever the connection

between you and the Jade Maiden?

Jin Tong,

you are the one who truly suffers.

The Lady Yuan you adore

fell in love with another,

and shattered your heart.

Your twin sister

has deceived you in everything

and kept secrets from you.

But you don't have to be too sad.

This could also be a good thing.

Good thing?

Tell me,

how is this a good thing?

Now she is no longer a goddess.

but all of you

will abandon her

and hate her.

And you

are the only one

who loves her.

Don't you want to

have her all to yourself?

The first step

is to break the shackles that bind you.

These flowers are so beautiful.

I wonder

how the old man

grows them.

Unlike me,

I can't grow anything.

That's not true.

I and Jin Tong

are well raised by you.

It's rare to hear

a good word from you.

When we get back,

buy some good fertilizer.

Let me and Jin Tong

eat a bit better.

Right.

I clearly

enlightened both of you at the same time.

Yet he

remains unenlightened,

ignorant of human nature,

unable to discern good from evil.

He needs some serious tutoring.

Jade Maiden,

what's wrong?

My true form is shattered.

Golden Boy!

Golden Boy!

Why can't I sense him?

Something must've happened!

Stay calm.

He's powerful.

Nothing within miles

shouldn't be anything

that can hurt him.

Let's go back and check.

Maybe it's just a misunderstanding.

Tomorrow is the Mountain Festival.

You must attend

the blessing ceremony.

I'll go back alone.

It's fine.

But...

Don't worry.

I can handle it.

Alright.

Once the festival is over,

I'll return immediately.

Be careful.

If you're in danger,

contact me right away.

The night of the full moon is the day after tomorrow.

Yuanjun, you...

Don't worry.

I'll be back

before the full moon.

Mountain Goddess,

please

help me one more time.

You are all-knowing.

Thank you for healing

my mother.

But I can't

tell anyone

what happened today.

I can only turn to you.

I beg you

to give me a sign.

Mr. Shao from Xiyuan Town.

He groped me

when no one was around.

Today,

he even

forced me...

forced me...

Mountain Goddess,

if your power is real,

please take this evil spirit

away from this world.

Xiao Qing,

I beg you.

Who's there?

It's you?

Weren't you sacrificed

to the Mountain Goddess?

I'm glad you remember me, Mr. Li.

Are you human or a ghost?

I'm neither human

nor ghost.

I fell off a cliff

into the Mountain Goddess's shrine.

She took me in

and made me her divine envoy.

So,

you're the divine envoy.

May I ask,

what has

any guidance?

She has

heard your prayers

and knows of the evil in Xiyuan.

With great compassion,

she'll help you drive it away.

That...

That's good.

Thank you, Mountain Goddess.

She also

your assistance

is still needed.

We are

at your service.

Tomorrow,

you will

place the statue of the Mountain Goddess

in the sedan chair

and carry it around the village three times.

At that time, the Mountain Goddess

will possess the statue,

and accept

the prayers and offerings.

This is

the tradition for a hundred years.

And

after the ceremony,

we'll return the statue

to the temple at midnight.

Then the Mountain Goddess

can

return to her realm.

But tomorrow,

you need to keep the statue

out for a little longer.

But...

But why?

No need to ask.

You'll understand when the time comes.
