who can make them understand

he wasn't the caricature of
a foster kid from the projects

the defense
is making him out to be.

He was kind,

blessed with the kind of heart
that cared about everyone.

- And did you ever know him

to lose his temper
or act violently?

- No.

He had a gentle soul.

and some boy stepped to him,

started saying awful things
about his dad being dead.

I thought Omari
might rip the kid's head off,

but he just shook his head

he didn't believe in violence,
