and our trip to LA.

This is the DV tape.

This tape shows most of
what happened to Jessie.

If I were to run it all right now,

she'd be another face, another name.

She'd just be like any other story

you might have heard.

But you wouldn't know the girl.

So I wanna start at the beginning.

It seemed that before her folks split up,

she was happy.

That's when they lived in Empire.

She's always smiling, goofing around.

Then her dad left,

and everything got screwed up.

Not just Jessie, but her mom.

She's always drinking.

Their place is a mess.

I didn't like to go there much.

Even when her mom tried to do something

nice for her birthday,

it was a complete disaster.

These are the girls that

I know deep down they looked up to her.

At the time, I didn't
know what else to do.

I had to do something.

In the beginning, the newspapers

of stuff about the case.

But then, after a while,
you didn't hear anything,

like it never happened.

For Jessie's mom, I think
that the blog helped

'cause she could see that
there were people who cared.

All the leads I got were pure crap

up until two days ago
when the package arrived.

And, at first, I thought I should

turn it over to the cops, of course.

But, then, as I looked at
the legal possibilities,

I realized that nothing would happen.

Person responsible would
go to jail and then what?

This freak murdered a

Then, back in '82, he was arrested again

with some dude named Barski for murdering

three coeds from the Washington
State Theater School.

He plea-bargained as a
witness against Barski

and was put into a witness
protection program.

It says here his identity was changed,

and information regarding his release

was not formally shared with the public.

And what happened to Jessie wasn't right.

Jessie's body had been

The coroner said that she'd
been strangled with something,

that she had struggled.

There was a lot of other
stuff that happened to Jessie.

then he was out again.

When he got out, he killed a whole family.

They said he was mental, so they sent him

but then they have their own websites.

He was sentenced to death 15 years ago,
