Now we find Captain Hoxie
in charge of a chimpanzee.

He, the chimp-
the one on the left-

plays an important role in
the army's closely-guarded secret.

- Ah.
- [Chimp Shouting]

Here's the secret
we are going to share.

Come on, LeRoy.
[Chuckles]

There we are. Oh!

Ah. This little fellow is going
to take a journey into space...

and return, alive.

- Aren't you? Yes, he agrees.
- [Chattering]

Every conceivable precaution
has been taken for his safe return.

It's 99 and 9/10ths percent assured.

But that is why we are sending this
little fella instead of a human volunteer.

Now then, we will enact for you just what
will take place in the foreseeable future.

Uh, up to the point
of takeoff, of course.

Captain, would you take LeRoy
and put him up in the cone, please?

As an afterthought,
they gave her this outfit.

But, gentlemen,
in the final analysis...

This is a showdown!

and I'm tired of sleeping in the guest room.

The rocket cannot be launched until

Uh, this is our closed-circuit

And I will try to describe some of
the intricacies of this massive operation.

Now this on the side is the crane.

Uh, we call it the "gantry."

Here you see a long shot
of the crane. There it is.

There's the rocket
which is 90 feet high.

Now in a moment
the crane will be removed.

Every man becomes tense
as we near the end of the countdown.

Although this is only a dry run...

one still gets a great feeling
of excitement.

Then if the men controlling lever number two
are in accord, the same thing applies.

Now, while I'm still the aggressor,
we're gonna get one thing straight.

There was absolutely nothing going on
between me and Angela Hoffa.

- But I mean absolutely nothing going on-

a hot tub of water.

a big snifter of hot brandy.

And then we'll attempt
to solve my problem.

Now when the triggering device is set off,
the red light goes on overhead...

and LeRoy is on his way.

- Of course, nothing happens now.
- [Machinery Starting Up]
