[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

[Episode 27]

If I'd known you were fine,

I wouldn't have come to save you.

Watch out!

Cosmos Fortune Palm!

Jin.

Is it you?

Jin.

Is it really you?

As I expected, he and Lu

have a history.

In the inn,

this guy attacked us

but didn't mean to hurt us.

Because he recognized

the wine gourd Lu gave me.

Jin,

you still remember this gourd,

so you must remember me too,

right?

I've been looking for you for three years.

I finally found you.

I know you're a man of your word

and won't break your promise.

I came as I promised.

The flower wine this year is mine.

No hard feelings.

Nice move.

You're the first one

who can take something from me.

You can have the wine.

I'm Jin Youdao.

Lu Jianchi.

What a surprising ending.

Is he really Jin Youdao?

It's Jin

who protected me.

Luckily,

I have the wine gourd Lu gave me.

Later I found that those mutants were afraid of fire.

So I made this fire circle

to keep them away.

I'm glad you're safe.

Where are the other mutants?

When the morning light shone through,

I noticed that their movements slowed down.

So I lured them into this dungeon

and locked them up.

That was close.

Thank god you made it to dawn.

Yes.

I was up all night

and felt so sleepy.

I was going to find a place

to have a good rest

but someone ruined my plan.

Thank you for your concern.

You're welcome.

You're a man.

Don't be so fragile.

But…

Why is Jin now afraid of sunlight?

Maybe his Head Bane

isn't the same as it was ten years ago.

Head Bane?

I found some clues here.

This sinkhole is

where Nanyin people created mind control bugs.

These people

were tricked here

to be test subjects.

But it seems that those bugs

were a failure.

Nanyin people are so despicable.

Is the Lord of the Netherworld

among these people?

The Netherworld Sword?

Yes.

It's the Lord of the Netherworld's sword.

Then he…

He's not here.

I found it on a stone wall

nearby.

It proves that he was here.

The Lord of the Netherworld

knows a technique to break his sword

as a diversion to escape.

He must

have gotten out of here.

Then the trail goes cold again.

You're still alive!

Tell us.

Where is the antidote for Head Bane?

Antidote?

There is no cure for Head Bane.

People who gave their souls to the Head God

will be his servants forever.

Nonsense!

All the poisons

and black magic in the world

are invented by humans

and can definitely be neutralized.

Tell us!

There is no cure for Head Bane.

You had it coming.

Shut up!

It's a big world

full of experts and geniuses.

I believe as long as I keep searching,

I'll eventually find a way

to cure Jin.

Sirs,

without your help,

I wouldn't have found Jin.

Thank you very much.

Lu, don't say that.

We didn't do much.

After we part ways today,

no one knows when we can meet again.

Take care.

Lu, take care.

Take care.

By the way,

I found an important place

in the sinkhole.

I'm afraid what Nanyin wants

is not that simple.

Lock those guys up.

I'll take you there.

Okay.

This is where they made research on Head Bane.

When I was running from the mutants,

I found this place by chance

and saw their notes.

Look.

They're prints of ancient murals.

Bug eggs are raised in human skulls.

This is Nanyin's magical technique

of creating Karmic Bugs.

Karmic Bugs raised in skulls

can be divided into mother bugs and child bugs.

By controlling mother bugs,

one can control the child bugs' hosts.

So Karmic Bugs are used to control people.

Head Bane may work the same way.

What does it have to do with Karmic Bugs?

Karmic Bugs were created

by black magic in ancient Nanyin.

That technique

has long been lost.

Think about it.

Back then in Nanyin,

only the royal family had one Karmic Bug.

With Nanyin's downfall,

that Karmic Bug went missing.

You mean,

Nanyin people found these murals

which only depicted part of the technique

so the descendants of Nanyin

couldn't fully understand how to make Karmic Bugs.

That's why they tried again and again

and caused those martial art masters

to become uncontrollable monsters.

Yes.

That's also

why Head Bane was a failure

despite ten years of effort.

Nanyin people quit creating it

and started searching for

the Karmic Bug the royal family once owned.

Nanyin wants to control martial forces

in the Central Plains through Karmic Bugs.

That's why

they need Rama Heavenly Ice.

Elder Shi,

is my guess right?

So it is right.

So what?

You can't get out anyway.

I've informed my master.

She's on her way here

with men from the Jinyuan Alliance.

You found out

the secret of our village

and ruined our Head Bane.

You won't survive today.

The Jinyuan Alliance.

It's your men's doing again!

Forget it.

You've been in seclusion for the past decade.

I don't think you know about it.

The Jinyuan Alliance and Nanyin…

Someone from Nanyin

bought gunpowder and blew up

everything you had in the East Sea.

Do you know that Jiao Liqiao is from Nanyin?

What did you mean in the secret letter?

Your master wants me to take control of the Jinyuan Alliance?

What you did

will be found by Di Feisheng sooner or later.

By then, if the Jinyuan Alliance is under your control,

things will be easier for both of us.

Fei.

Are you okay?

I didn't blame you.

Stop pretending.

Wuxin Huai is attacking him again.

Fei. Careful.

I remember seeing the cure

for Wuxin Huai on the murals.

Take a look.

Okay.

Here it is.

This painting says,

using a leech raised in Wuxin Huai

to suck out poisonous blood from Taiyuan Acupoint

can remove Wuxin Huai from the victim's body.

Leech raised in Wuxin Huai?

You know how to use Wuxin Huai,

so you must have such leeches with you.

I won't give you any

even if you kill me!

You…

We won't bother you then.

You guys have been doing evil for so many years.

You can't get away with it.

Just wait to be thrown into

the Baichuan Court's 188 prisons.

Fei.

I need some of your blood.

There's a pond here.

If you cure Wuxin Huai for him,

he'll regain his memory

and may become the old Di Feisheng again.

Are you sure you want to do that?

Never mind.

He opened the device for me.

I'll consider it as returning the favor.

Di Feisheng

has only one opponent,

Li Xiangyi.

Defeating him

is all I want.

Sorry.

I can't help you.

No one can defeat you now.

Fei.

He's fine.

Wuxin Huai is already out of his system.

He just fainted

from exhaustion.

Xiaobao!

Run!

Protect Fei.

Granny Blood!

Dragon in Snow?

Xiangyi Swordplay?

Back then, Li Xiangyi

saw a unique plum

in Dongfang Qingzhong's plum garden.

He found it so beautiful

that he wanted to pick 17 blossoms

for the 17 girls in the Sigu Sect.

Dongfang Qingzhong wouldn't let him

so they fought in the plum garden.

You defeated him

and took the flowers.

You used that move

called Dragon in Snow to defeat him, right?

I was right.

You are Li Xiangyi.

The Shaoshi Sword can slice steel.

The Wenjing Sword can shatter bones.

Sect Leader Li, how have you been?

It's been ten years.

You're still so young and handsome.

Miss Jiao.

Thank you for your compliments.

It's been ten years.

You've aged a lot.

He's really Li Xiangyi.

You're so mean,

even more annoying than ten years ago.

I thought you were disabled by the Bicha Poison.

The Bicha Poison

is far from enough to ruin me.

You're right.

I've been practicing martial arts so hard for ten years

in order to defeat you.

I must kill you today.

I won't fight you today.

Saving Director Di is more important.

I'll settle the score with you in the future.

You're awake.

Li Lianhua.

No.

I should call you

Li Xiangyi, right?

Yes.

You can use Yangzhouman.

You've been involved with Di Feisheng.

You know so much about my father.

You always want to ditch me

because you don't want me to find out who you are.

You're also the guy in white who helped me,

aren't you?

You hid it from me for so long.

I was kept in the dark

and so worried about your safety.

Fang Xiaobao,

I didn't mean

to hold out on you.

You didn't mean it?

How do you explain

why you have the Wenjing Sword?

Back then, my father asked the Shi family of the Tiejia Sect

to forge weapons with cloud iron.

They made body armor

and a soft sword for him.

When we moved my father's grave,

we all saw

my father in that body armor.

Do you know

that cloud iron is hard and flexible

and the only thing that can pierce that body armor

is that soft sword made of cloud iron too?

And that is your Wenjing Sword!

Cloud iron has a blue glow when stained with blood.

What else do you have to say?

You mean,

the Wenjing Sword has a blue glow

because it's made of cloud iron?

Your inner power is fierce.

This soft sword may suit you.

In a few days,

you'll turn eighteen.

I give you this soft sword

as your birthday gift.

This sword is flexible

and can easily slice your enemies' throats.

You'll be invincible with it.

What an amazing sword.

Sharp

yet soft.

Since it's a gift from you,

I'll take it as a token of our friendship.

We'll hold together through thick and thin.

I'll call it the Wenjing Sword.

Is my Wenjing Sword

made of the cloud iron from the He family?

Were the He brothers killed by…

You said you don't know about cloud iron.

Then why do you have a sword made from it?

There's more to this story.

It's not what you think.

Then tell me about it.

I'll make my own judgment.

I didn't know this sword

was made of cloud iron.

Originally,

the He family planned to use cloud iron to…

What?

I saw through your lie

and you don't know what to say?

Or do you

even not care to lie to me now?

Xiaobao.

There are many things I haven't figured out yet.

I don't want you to harbor resentment

because of what I say.

Please give me more time.

Li Lianhua!

No.

I should call you Li Xiangyi.

All this time,

I've seen you as my best friend,

but what did you do?

You promised to be honest with me

but are actually full of lies!

In terms of calculation,

no one can be your match, Sect Leader Li.

I was wrong about you.

If you can't explain yourself today,

I'll kill you

to avenge my father now!

Forget it.

I don't know what to believe.

You and I

are like this flute.

In the future,

we'll be strangers.

If one day,

I find that my father's death

was related to you,

I'll find you

and fight you to the dead.

Let's put an end to our past.

Here.

To my new friend.

New friend?

My best friend.

[Shishou Village]

[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

My Lord.

You're awake.

Where am I?

My Lord,

I did all this for you.

Please forgive me.

Forgive you?

You've been my Guardian for ten years.

What should I forgive you for?

Are you talking about

me ending seclusion by force

and almost losing my sanity?

Yu Hongzhu failed in her duty as my Guardian.

My Lord,

you mean

you just ended seclusion in Yu City yesterday?

Didn't I?

My Lord, please forgive me.

I was not with you.

What happened?

I only remember lots of noise.

Men from the Baichuan Court seemed there.

I stopped cultivation by force

and my power backfired.

I was relieved when you arrived.

Get in!

Come in.

My Lord.

I was in seclusion for ten years.

It's been long since the last time I saw so many people.

Why were you hiding outside?

My Lord,

Saintess asked us

to protect you outside.

My Lord, you just ended seclusion.

How are you feeling?

My head aches.

Let me make you feel better.

Okay.

You may leave.

Yes.

It's been ten years.

You're still so beautiful.

Thank you for everything you did these years.

My Lord.

I'm glad you're back.

Ten years is nothing.

For you,

I'll do anything.

Then tell me

what you will do for me.

I'm preparing a big gift for you.

A gift that can make you invincible

in the martial world.

But I haven't gotten it yet.

After I succeed,

I'll give you a surprise.

Okay.

I'll wait for you.

I heard

that he lost all his memories

when he was with Li Lianhua.

Wuxin Huai is so powerful.

Mr. Li.

You've been unconscious for three days.

What happened?

I came to see you

and found you unconscious outside the Lotus Tower.

Don't worry.

Look.

I'm tough.

I won't die.

I'm fine now.

Are you really okay?

The monk said the poison

will attack me every three days.

As time passes by,

I'll faint more and more often.

I must hurry up.

It's strange.

Li Lianhua.

Weren't you

always with Fang Duobing?

You're sick now.

Why is he not here?

Careful.

Fang Xiaobao has gone home.

These matters have nothing to do with him.

He shouldn't be involved.

What are you talking about?

Nothing.

What brought you here?

Li Lianhua.

My grandpa found something about Rama Vessel.

Rama Vessel is used

to keep Karmic Bugs, isn't it?

Yes.

There are two types of Karmic Bugs: mother bugs and child bugs.

There are only child bugs in Rama Vessel.

Mother bugs have been lost.

I'm confused about one thing.

If Jiao Liqiao is from Nanyin too,

why is it so hard for her to gather the four pieces of Heavenly Ice?

I think

those four people brought Heavenly Ice

to the Central Plains to restore Nanyin

but their descendants

gradually got used to the luxurious life here.

As a result,

they quit restoring Nanyin

and hid their identities.

So it's hard to gather those four pieces of Heavenly Ice.

Besides,

my grandpa has also found

that mother bugs

can live in their hosts for thousands of years

and the child bugs

can sense the locations of the mother bugs.

You mean,

they took Rama Vessel

not just for the child bugs?

They want to find where the mother bugs are.

Yes.

Once they find the mother bugs,

they can create tens of thousands of child bugs.

That'll be a disaster.

This matter

is much more serious than I thought.

I need to go to…

No matter what you need to do,

you need to be in good health to do it.

You look like

you may faint again anytime.

Let's eat something first.

They look great.

Miss Su,

thank you.

You're welcome.

I took them from the Shishou Village.

Eat up.

By the way,

that village is so remote.

How did the Wansheng Clan find it?

They sent lots of food to the villagers.

The Wansheng Clan?

How did you know the food was from the Wansheng Clan?

It's written on the grain bags.

I took them from the village.

That mark

looks very familiar.

That mark is solely used by the Wansheng Clan

for internal communication.

The Wansheng Clan. The cloud iron armor.

Wuxin Huai.

No wonder the Sigu Sect

and the Jinyuan Alliance suffered great losses from the showdown ten years ago.

The Wansheng Clan benefited the most from that.

Ten years ago.

Ten years later.

What is the conspiracy behind all this?

Senior.

Look where your lies have got me.

All these years,

what role have you played

in this game?

Director Di only remembers

what happened after he left Yu City.

He's completely forgotten

what we've done.

Wuxin Huai is so amazing.

It didn't damage his martial art skills

but damaged his memory.

The wind is in my sails!

Maid,

go get me some tonics.

If Director Di summons me,

I need to be at my very best.

Saintess,

I think Director Di is very weird.

He's never interested in women.

Why is he suddenly so fond of you?

We don't know if he's really lost his memories.

Maybe he was just pretending.

What if he wants to deceive you?

In my opinion,

you should

be careful around him.

That's impossible.

I know him very well.

He's too proud

to pretend.

If he cares to act,

he's not the Di Feisheng we know.

He spent lots of time with Li Lianhua.

Maybe he picked up tricks

from Li Lianhua.

Snow Master is right.

This is strange.

Don't let him

get in our way again.

If he's really lied to me,

I'll cut off his limbs,

lock him in a room,

and make him unable to live without me.

However,

he's my man.

I'm the only one who can hurt him.

Don't you dare lay a finger on him.

I'm not interested in Di Feisheng at all.

I've read the secret letter

you sent me.

Are you sure

that Li Lianhua

is Li Xiangyi?

Yes.

That guy is such an annoyance.

Ten years ago,

Director Di was obsessed with defeating him

and didn't care about anything else.

Ten years later,

he appeared around Director Di again.

The Bicha Poison is said to be the deadliest poison in the world.

Why didn't it kill him?

Why is he still alive?

Li Xiangyi can't be killed so easily.

I think it's Yangzhouman that saved him.

Although he's only left with ten percent of his power,

he's still hard to deal with.

Should we…

No.

He's a wreck now

and can't threaten us.

I've gotten bored

of traveling at night.

I don't need to do that anymore.

It's God's will that he survived.

He'll be able to witness my success.

But if we don't kill him,

he may keep getting in our way.

Besides,

he has Yu Louchun's Rama Heavenly Ice.

We need all the four pieces of Heavenly Ice

to open Rama Vessel.

We don't need to deal with him ourselves.

Didn't you plant

lots of spies in the Sigu Sect?

Snow Master,

send a letter to the Sigu Sect immediately.

Xiao Zijin is petty

and narrow-minded.

He can't amount to much.

You just need to

give him a little bit of information

and he'll try desperately to seize this chance.

My Lord.

My Lord.

I never thought

that Jiao Liqiao

would plot with outsiders against you.

Thank god you survived.

Jiao Liqiao.

What can she do to me?

It's just that I was in seclusion for ten years

and the whole Jinyuan Alliance

answers to her now.

I underestimated her.

My Lord, don't worry.

There are still people loyal to you in the Alliance.

After we leave here,

we'll take the Jinyuan Alliance back for you.

No hurry.

Whatever she did to me,

I'll do worse to her.

I'm very interested in the thing

in her Rama Vessel.

They want to tear each other down.

I just need to sit back and watch.

[Pudu Temple]

Bhante Wuliao is meditating.

Please come another time.

Is he meditating

or avoiding me?

Fine.

Since you're meditating,

I'll wait for you to come out right here.

We caught a spy tonight.

He's from the Jinyuan Alliance

and got into the Pudu Temple disguised as a visitor.

He came

for the map of the 188 prisons.

Who told you the map is in the Pudu Temple?

Tell us.

Who's it?

I heard Saintess say

that she got the news from the Lotus Tower.

That's all I know.

I'm telling the truth.

Li Lianhua?

The Sigu Sect just received an anonymous letter

informing on Li Lianhua.

It's been six days.

I can't wait any longer.
