[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

[Episode 18]

Yes.

Who are you?

You're such a hindrance.

I'll scratch you more.

Who are you?

Sister Qiao.

When people in the martial arts world talk about beauties,

we're tied.

Tell me.

Between us, who is prettier?

But I'm not here to compete with you.

I'm here to tell you

Li Xiangyi

is still alive.

Where is he?

I also want to know where he is.

After going through the pear trees,

you'll see the Heaven Prison.

Miss Pear Tree Formation?

I've heard of it before.

What's the solution?

The Miss Pear Tree Formation

was based on the Later Heaven Bagua.

Yin and Yang were reversed here.

The Death Gate is in Qian.

The Life Gate is in Kun.

The Open Gate is in Gen.

Li Xiangyi.

Are you playing tricks on me?

Director Di.

If you hadn't explored the way,

you would have gone through the trees safely.

But that copper coin

made the Life Gate the Death Gate.

Do you think it can trap me?

Of course not.

But today,

all sects are here.

You can't make trouble easily.

He's in the direction of the Heaven Prison.

I'm leaving.

Di Feisheng is trapped in the Miss Pear Tree Formation.

The final boss voluntarily gave us a chance

to catch him.

The formation has been destroyed.

Be careful.

You're all old faces.

Unfortunately, all of you were defeated by me before.

We haven't seen each other for ten years.

I wonder why

you came here today?

I haven't seen you for ten years.

You're still bad at martial arts.

You have no right to ask me.

I'm not the number one in the martial arts world.

But if you want to disrupt

my wedding,

don't blame me for being rude.

Zijin.

Your martial art skills improved a lot.

I heard Weeping Guanyin

greatly helped you to cure your internal injuries.

But it's still hard for you to defeat all of us.

Let's fight him together.

Don't pull any punches.

I'll come again.

Bad news!

Bad news!

Something happened in the bridal chamber.

Ms. Qiao was poisoned and fainted.

Wanmian.

Wanmian.

Her hands are so cold.

[Iced Cicada. Cold Frost. Detoxify the poison. Use Yangzhouman.]

Iced Cicada. [Iced Cicada. Cold Frost. Detoxify the poison. Use Yangzhouman.]

[Iced Cicada. Cold Frost. Detoxify the poison. Use Yangzhouman.]

Cold Frost.

Detoxify the poison.

Use Yangzhouman.

It's Jiao Liqiao.

She poisoned Sister Qiao.

Mr. Guan.

You're good at detoxifying poisons with golden needles.

You can definitely detoxify this poison.

Please save Wanmian.

I just examined Ms. Qiao.

Iced Cicada and Cold Frost

are two types of deadly poisons.

When the poison enters the viscera

through the mouth,

it can freeze the viscera in an hour.

There's no way to detoxify the poison.

You can only use the purest internal power of a man

to protect her viscera

and battle with the deadly poison.

After Iced Cicada is removed,

the patient will be safe.

The purest internal power of a man?

If the internal power which is used to resist cold

is strong,

it will hurt the extremely fragile viscera

which was caused by frostbite

and make the patient die soon.

The only purest internal power in this world which can do this

is Yangzhouman.

That's why it writes

that we should use Yangzhouman to detoxify the poison.

Otherwise, six hours later,

the attack of Iced Cicada will be unavoidable.

Ms. Qiao will freeze to death.

Yangzhouman?

That's Li Xiangyi's unique internal power.

If he could really save Wanmian,

I would kneel and beg him.

But Li Xiangyi is already dead.

What does Jiao Liqiao want?

You don't have to use internal power to save her.

May I examine Ms. Qiao?

It's none of your business.

Don't touch Wanmian.

Do you have another way to save her?

Actually, I've discussed a method of using poisons to detoxify poisons

with Mr. Guan before.

I only saw Bhante Wuliao, who's from Pudu Temple,

use this method to detoxify poisons before.

Bhante Wuliao

has verified this method before?

Of course the process is not simple.

The poison must be neutralized by another posion.

The cold caused by Iced Cicada can be resisted by Arsenic.

Use special medicinal soups to stop the toxicity of Arsenic.

And then use acupuncture

to send it directly into the viscera

and make it work.

But

it takes six hours

to take Bhante Wuliao here.

It's too late to invite him.

When Abbot was detoxifying poisons,

I was beside him.

I learnt a little from him.

If you trust me,

could you let me have a try?

Can it really be detoxified?

Do you know the consequences

if you talk through your hat?

It's a matter of life and death.

I'm serious.

But I need Cold Winter Plum Blossom,

Early Spring Prunus Salicina,

Late Summer Lotus,

and Early Autumn Chrysanthemum, 60 each.

Make Arsenic Medicinal Soup on a big fire

to help me detoxify the poison.

How can we find the things you mentioned

in a short time?

Don't fool us.

They can be collected from the pharmacies,

the fruit shops,

and the tea shops in the town.

Let's look for them together.

We can definitely find them.

I trust Mr. Li.

There's no need for you to go.

We can help.

I'll go and look for them.

Cure Ms. Qiao without worries.

Leave the rest to us.

Please prepare three buckets of hot water.

Ms. Qiao will use them when the poison is being detoxified.

Yes.

She was here for me.

You were involved in it because of me.

Mr. Li.

I've boiled the water.

How is Miss?

Can I open the door?

Mr. Li.

My Lord.

Situations of Mumian Villa have changed.

Xiangyi.

Xiangyi.

For her, you abused your true force

and was seriously injured.

Is it worth

risking your life?

How is she?

How's the situation inside?

Mr. Li keeps the door closed.

He hasn't responded.

Li Lianhua.

We've prepared what you need.

Mr. Guan and the others are making the medicinal soup.

How's the situation inside?

Li Lianhua.

What's going on?

Tell me.

If you don't want them to know,

I can help you.

What do you want to do?

What are you doing?

Don't come.

Di Feisheng, you…

If you want her to live,

come to the gazebo on the back hill after two hours

and bring King Xunming of Yama in exchange for her.

Wanmian.

Are you hurt?

Was it Di Feisheng who hurt you?

I'm fine.

It's just an attack of my illness.

Go after him.

Why do you have an attack at this time?

Sit down.

How are you?

Where is your medicine?

It's in the Lotus Tower.

Go and get it for me now.

Go.

Go.

Okay. Hold on.

I'll be right back.

When you have an attack of Bicha Poison,

it feels as if there are insects eating your bones.

The poison will eventually pierce your internal organs and the marrow of your head.

At first, you'll temporarily become deaf and blind.

Then you'll gradually lose all five senses,

become crazy, and die.

My Lord.

The toxins in her body have already been removed.

She's still not awake because her acupuncture point for sleep was hit before.

I didn't expect you

to cover for Li Xiangyi.

Li Xiangyi still owes me a competition.

I can't let him die easily.

Besides, our competition

doesn't need such dirty tricks.

Jiao Liqiao did this behind your back

because she found Li Xiangyi is still alive

and wanted to smoke him out.

Why does Jiao Liqiao

care whether or not Li Xiangyi is dead?

She and I are not on the same side anymore.

Go back and keep an eye on her.

Check how many people in the Jinyuan Alliance

can still be used.

Yes.

Di Feisheng.

I've brought the person you want.

I just want Wanmian to be safe.

The poison has been detoxified.

She's fine now.

Wanmian.

Wanmian.

Wanmian.

Xiangyi.

Xiangyi.

Come.

This way, please.

He said he has heart disease before.

I didn't expect the disease to be so scary.

He's still unconscious after taking the medicine.

The doctor didn't find anything wrong after examining him,

so he couldn't prescribe medicine.

Guan.

Please examine him.

I thought it's because you have grudges against him

that you always target him.

Why are you so worried about him?

I'm just angry with him.

His life matters.

Mr. Guan,

please examine Mr. Li.

Didn't I tell you to rest well?

But I'm worried about Mr. Li.

His pulse is hard to feel.

Why is it so strange?

His pulse is thin and soft.

He's quite weak.

His Qi and blood have dissipated.

They can't be regained.

The pulse

is insufficient.

What do you mean?

Is it serious, Mr. Guan?

His Qi and blood are insufficient.

It's caused by his congenital heart disease.

Although his life is not in danger,

he should stop worrying

and rest well.

Only in this way can he be fine.

It's good to hear he's fine.

I was poisoned with Iced Cicada.

Jiao Liqiao said only Yangzhouman can save me.

Then...

The Jinyuan Alliance was just creating panic

because they wanted to put pressure on us.

Di Feisheng threatened me with your life.

He asked me to let King Xunming of Yama go.

King Xunming of Yama

is much less important than you.

I did as he asked.

Di Feisheng detoxified the poison?

Of course.

Li Lianhua claimed that he could detoxify the poison.

I believed him

and let him mess around.

Fortunately,

the Jinyuan Alliance wanted something.

Except Di Feisheng,

no one has this ability.

But

today is our wedding day.

I failed to protect you.

I'm fine now.

We expected that the Jinyuan Alliance would come to provoke us.

But

they did this

only for King Xunming of Yama?

Wanmian.

Just now...

I mean

no matter it's the Jinyuan Alliance or anyone else,

I won't let them have chances

to hurt you again.

I have something to discuss

with Ji Hanfo and the others.

You're still weak.

Get more rest.

I'm here to tell you

Li Xiangyi

is still alive.

Xiangyi.

Yangzhouman.

I have the internal power, Yangzhouman, in my body.

I've seen Xiangyi.

It's not a dream.

How is that possible?

Your favorite osmanthus cakes.

I queued up for a long time.

You tied the knot yourself,

right?

It's different from the knots tied by others.

I can't even untie it.

Why are they

the same?

It's you.

I'm so stupid.

You're alive.

You're still alive.

[Wulin Inn]

Mr. Li.

How are you now?

I'm fine.

I just feel a little dizzy.

I feel much better.

Mr. Guan gave you a prescription.

Fang Duobing went to get the medicine.

Drink some water

to moisten your throat.

I can't drink it now.

I'm not thirsty either.

I'm really worried about you.

My illness

is not serious.

Miss Su,

your wound...

I'm fine.

Mr. Guan said

he has a method.

He'll cure me.

Don't worry.

By the way, Mr. Li,

I received a letter from my grandfather today.

He wrote that he didn't find the information about the ice and the script.

But the incense you got

is Nanyin Incense for sure.

Is the effect of Nanyin Incense

the same as what Miss Zhiyu said?

This is the second magical technique of Nanyin.

The knockout incense was made by Wuxin Huai.

Burning it

can make people fall into a pleasant illusion,

lose the feeling of pain,

and be manipulated.

They don't struggle even if they're being peeled.

If a large amount of Nanyin Incense are used

to deal with people who practice martial artists,

they will ruin the martial artist skills

which those people practice.

Who on earth used Wuxin Huai

to deal with my senior?

If King Xunming of Yama of the Jinyuan Alliance had intended to kill my senior,

he wouldn't have used it.

But

Nanyin is no longer in existence.

There is less and less Wuxin Huai.

The incense is quite rare and precious.

Not everyone

can get a lot of

Nanyin Incense.

By the way, Mr. Li,

speaking of Nanyin,

when I met Jiao Liqiao today,

she was speaking Nanyin dialect.

Although I don't know the meaning,

I'm sure that was Nangyin dialect.

My grandfather learnt it before.

She doesn't know I heard it clearly.

Otherwise, she'll kill me.

Jiao Liqiao?

Actually,

my grandfather wrote this letter

also to urge me to go home.

But Mr. Li,

I want...

Actually...

Actually, I want...

What do you want?

In three days,

your grandfather will know

what happened today.

Do you still want him to worry about you?

Besides,

if you want to recover soon,

you have to go home and recuperate.

This matter can't be delayed.

Go back and pack your things.

Set off tomorrow morning.

Fine. Mr. Li.

I'll come to you when I'm recovered.

Mr. Li.

This is the jade whistle of the Su family.

If you need anything, you can blow this whistle

and let my family's homing pigeon send me a letter.

Guan.

Is the wound on Miss Su's face

severe?

What happened to you?

I can't tell the poison you were poisoned with.

Who on earth are you?

I'm just

an unlucky ordinary person.

Judging by your pulse,

you have no more than four months to live.

You already knew you can't live long.

I have

no more than four months.

Since you know your situation,

don't have designs on Miss Su

and let her be heartbroken because of you.

Take care.

[Yuanbao Villa]

[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

Ms. Qiao.

Why don't you rest at this hour?

I was poisoned with Iced Cicada.

Thank you for saving me.

But the poison was detoxified with Yangzhouman.

What do you want to say?

Ms. Qiao.

The poison was not detoxified by me.

It was Di Feisheng who helped you detoxify the poison.

Really?

You took the sachet I made for Xiangyi

and told me Xiangyi is already dead.

You watched me throw the sachet into the fire

and told me to let go of the past

and move on.

Did you do it on purpose?

You said he is dead

and deliberately described his death as horrific.

You asked me to keep him in the story.

But tell me.

How did the dead person

come back to life?

And how did he save my life?

Xiangyi acquired Yangzhouman when he was 18.

I was with him every day.

Every move.

Every day.

No one knows him better than me.

You can fool others,

but you can't fool me.

Why don't you turn around?

Are you still blaming me?

You're blaming me

because of the letter I wrote before you went to the East Sea,

right?

If you want to fool me,

can you look at me?

Xiangyi.

You still hate me, right?

You're so close to me.

How could I not recognize you?

I've been waiting for you for ten years.

Are you blaming me?

So you'd rather...

You'd rather run away for ten years

than come back to let me not worry,

right?

Mian.

Look at me.

I'm fine now.

Seeing you

have your own life now

makes me feel happy

for you.

Xiangyi.

Why?

Why have you changed a lot?

You're not like

who you used to be anymore.

What has happened

in the past ten years?

When I fell into the sea that year,

I was hung on the ship of Di Feisheng.

I didn't sink to the bottom of the sea.

I went back to the Sigu Sect before.

I also saw the letter you wrote to me before.

Later,

I just wanted to live a different life.

No.

That's not what I meant.

Is it because you hated me for breaking up with you

that you left?

That's not true.

Mian.

I suddenly figured it out.

The bossy and arrogant

Li Xiangyi

is indeed dead.

No.

That's not what I meant

when I wrote you that letter.

He's the light that people pursue.

His brilliance will also hurt people's hearts.

He's also the one who I can never catch up with.

But how could it be his fault?

Do you know how much I regret it?

During these ten years,

I've been dreaming of you.

I dreamt that the moment you stepped out of the door,

I tried my best to pull you and stop you.

But when I woke up,

I realized there's nothing reversible.

Since you came back,

why didn't you tell us?

It's been so long.

I'm tired.

I just want to be free.

Then why did you

appear at my wedding?

I've promised you before

that I would give you the sweetest

wedding candies.

In the past,

I've broken my promise to you many times.

At least

I must keep this promise.

In Pudu Temple,

if you hadn't told me he is dead,

I wouldn't have married Zijin.

It's not beaucse you married Zijin that you're sad.

It's because you don't regret marrying Zijin.

Xiangyi.

You're still...

You're still the same.

You can kill someone with one sentence.

Mian.

You like Zijin

and rely on Zijin.

It's not wrong.

You don't love someone anymore.

You don't have to blame yourself for it.

Then...

Don't you hate me?

Yes.

I hated you before.

In the early years, I hated everyone.

Then I figured it out.

It was my fault.

I was too conceited.

I acted willfully.

Why should Li Xiangyi be invincible

and do everything successfully?

Mian.

When we met and knew each other,

I was young and ignorant.

I also didn't know

what our relationship was.

What do you mean?

What do you mean?

You mean

you never loved me?

We were both young at that time.

Don't take what we said seriously.

Mian.

Time flies.

You and I are no longer young.

Forget

what should be forgotten.

I saved you

because of our friendship.

Don't get me wrong.

You know me well.

I hate

being involved in many things.

The world is vast.

Living a life of freedom

is what I want.

Please

don't let others know I'm still alive.

I really hope

you and Zijin

can grow old together

and love each other forever.

We haven't seen each other for ten years.

Don't you have anything else to say to me?

What else should I say?

Ten years is a very long time.

Mian.

Today,

we should say goodbye.

Live the life you want.

Okay.

Okay.

Let me ask you again.

Is Li Xiangyi really not coming back?

No.

You like candies so much.

They're not what masters like.

Who says masters can't eat candies?

At our wedding,

I'll let everyone eat this kind of candy.

Is it delicious?

Not bad.

Eat one more.

You're busy with those big things every day.

You always let me look at your back.

I'm really tired.

Something really happened to the Feiying Gang.

Mian.

I need to go out now.

By the way, Mian,

what did you say just now?

Forget it.

Let's talk when I'm back.

The world is vast.

I can't keep you.

I'm tired.

I respect you, but I can't accompany you anymore.

I can't love you anymore.

I wrote this letter to say goodbye to you.

I wish you good health

and a happy life.

I hope you can fulfill your dreams.

Mian.

You want to die without letting everyone know.

I don't understand why you're pathetic and stubborn.

You scared me.

Why didn't you walk through

the front door?

Since we have chosen our own paths,

why should I bother them?

I don't understand.

But I respect your persistence.

No need, Director Di.

Just don't make trouble for me.

I didn't let Jiao Liqiao poison you.

I know.

You

killed a large amount of people.

But you do things

above board.

You don't like to argue.

I

just wanted to confirm it.

Compared to who you used to be,

you're much more cunning now.

You tried to cover for me this time.

I owe you a favor.

Why did you bring him here?

Don't you always blame the Jinyuan Alliance

for killing your senior?

My Lord asked me to explain to you.

Ten years ago,

I, King Bai of Fire, and Four-faced Qingzun

[King Xunming of Yama] I, King Bai of Fire, and Four-faced Qingzun

[King Xunming of Yama]

received a challenge letter from Shan Gudao. [King Xunming of Yama]

received a challenge letter from Shan Gudao.

Of course we didn't think he could defeat us.

But when we arrived at the place,

we found that Shan Gudao had already died.

It was my senior who challenged you?
