Go Eun Sung!

Hey, Go Eun Sung!

Go Eun Sung!

Episode 21

Go Eun Sung!

What are you doing being so loud?

Why did you come into my room?

You came in first.

Coming in first without asking, and refusing to accept this.

What do you think you're doing?

What am I going to do?

Hey, what are you doing here? Get up.

You can't do this. Get up!

Did you really fall asleep? Wake up!

How could he fall asleep in here?

I'm going to go crazy.

Jun Se

We're going to close up and leave right away.

Seung Mi

Your party is not available. Please leave a message after the tone.

Oppa?!

If you're not even with Hwan, why aren't you coming home yet?

Didn't you know that we moved today?

I'm here. I'm coming in.

Where is he?

Why don't we have any customers today?

Hello?

Seung Mi, what brings you to call at this hour?

Hwan?

He's not here. He didn't come.

Noona!

That's really weird. He wouldn't stand you up for no reason.

Noona didn't buy me hamburger. Bulgogi burger.

He hasn't gone home and his phone's off too.

Hamburger. Hamburger and Coke.

Who is that?

My cousin. Hey, Han Young Jae! Be quiet.

I'm sorry to call so late.

Come by with Hwan sometime. Bye.

Noona needs her wallet.

I'll go get it. Hamburger.

What is he saying? You have a sister?

It's messy, isn't it?

The furniture is the same, so it doesn't feel like we moved.

Who is this?

Jung, it's Seung Mi.

Seung Mi? It's six in the morning!

I'm sorry, Jung, but is Hwan okay?

Seung Mi, I don't think he came home last night.

He didn't?

Crazy...

Lock the door when you leave.

She probably won't kill me.

Did Grandma live here too?

Give me the key.

This is your car key. Give it to Grandma.

- About yesterday... - Don't say anything.

If I'd been a little stronger, I would've dragged you out and let you sleep outside.

Really?

You do that one more time and I'll call the cops.

If you felt that way, why did you make me broth?

Put a blanket over me? Leave me a toothbrush?

- Well, that's... - That's what?

That's because you're Grandma's grandson.

I'm letting you go easy this time because you're Grandma's grandson.

I was mad because you refused to accept something that small.

Why did you let me drink soju?

What are you doing here?

I'm quitting.

What happened? Eun Sung is still working here?

Here's the IOU.

Hey, why are you showing me this?

I wanted to show you. Eun Sung isn't easy to deal with.

You don't know, but Hwan's grandma got help from Eun Sung.

Would she have thought to give Eun Sung her entire inheritance if she hadn't trusted her?

What's the use?

The game was over when it turned out Eun Sung had known Grandma and Hwan.

What did Grandma say?

She must have been really shocked and upset.

Ever since that day, she never mentions Eun Sung or you and your daughter.

Not a word?

She doesn't even let me talk about her.

It looks like Grandma's going to kick Eun Sung out once the second branch reaches its sales goal.

What are you saying?

She's been letting Eun Sung work at the second branch all this time?

Grandma's upset, but she still wants to reach the sales goal.

Eun Sung must have been doing a good job.

But sales or not...

So, is she going to revoke the will?

I think so.

She can never forgive anyone who's deceived her.

But, Sung Hee.

Yeah.

Did you not tell your second husband, I mean Eun Sung's father, that you had money?

What's up with you? I already told you... he had an unexpected accident.

If I'd told him, he would've done something about it.

Since it was money left by Seung Mi's father, he must not have wanted to deal with it.

He was a good person. He knew how to maintain a man's ego.

Anyway, I'm sorry again I couldn't tell you before.

But what's wrong with your daughter Eun Sung? She's so conniving.

She grew up without knowing any hardships...

When she faced something that big, she was blinded by money.

I should've stopped her when she stormed out of the house.

Why did she leave, taking her disabled brother? She had no plans.

It was all her pride.

She'd gone to study abroad after living with me for only a few years,

so things were a little awkward between us.

Not a word about Eun Sung or Seung Mi?

That can't happen. That old woman is more clever than that.

What the hell is she thinking?

Good work.

- How is it? - I was already tempted...

the moment I heard your idea.

I'm just charging my phone.

You don't have that much time until the East Sea delivery, so go right away to see the president.

Okay. Bye!

You already sent that report.

There were more parts to add, so I decided to have it go through the president again.

What is there to add to beef soup bidding besides the price?

Hear it from Supervisor Go when she comes back.

Hear it... She won't even look at me.

Delivery Proposal for the East Sea Cruise Ferry In Charge: Go Eun Sung, Sun Woo Hwan

Ah, Ms. Yoo Seung Mi.

Team Manager, what's this?

It's the document for a new idea from the second branch.

Does this mean they're personally going to the East Sea?

Of course. It's basically a field trip.

So who's going?

I guess the two people from the second branch who suggested it.

Two days and one night?

There's registration on the first day, then the meeting the next day,

so it should be two days and one night.

No one from the main branch is going?

This project is by the second branch,

so the main branch is only dealing with the documents.

You need to lower the price of the East Sea bidding without having anyone notice, Mr. Park.

Can I trust this and laugh my way to the end?

I'm not the kind of person who steals bids...

by tricking Chang Soo Beef Soup that doesn't even have 20 branches.

Bidding for the East Sea Cruise would be very important to the southern region's expansion.

I've told you. President Jang must be persuaded this time.

I hear she's still the same?

I'd told you to join Chang Soo Beef Soup for a reason.

If I'd wanted to steal recipes and start a business, I could've done it ten years before you did.

Don't say things like that without evidence.

Proposal for the Bidding of Korean Food for the Cruise

Delivery Proposal for the East Sea Cruise Ferry

I heard the president at Chang Soo Beef Soup used to work for our company.

Yes, Park Chang Soo figured out our secret recipe and started a business.

I heard they're bidding as well, and if the taste is similar,

the competition is going to be on the price.

So I thought we could devise a breakfast menu with food from the local area for the bidding.

Bidding for the breakfast menu?

Yes.

If we add East Sea gom chi soup and salad to our beef bone soup, I think it'll help us win the bid.

Since it's a cruise, there must be passengers that drink at night.

How did you find out about the gom chi soup and the herbs?

My mom's from the East Sea area.

My maternal grandmother used to cook them for me a lot.

Is that why you brought me a new proposal?

It's East Sea food, so it's easy to get the ingredients from the local area.

We're a company that makes beef soup. Did you forget that?

I'm sorry.

I calculated the sales with the branch manager and saw that if we win the bid,

we'd definitely reach our goal of 20%. But I see I'd been too ambitious.

Leave this here. I'll take a look at it.

Yes.

Okay. I'll be leaving.

Management Application

It's all finished.

- Good luck. - Yeah. Thank you.

What happened?

You're still working at the second branch?

Yeah. It turned out that way.

How? Didn't you say you quit?

Are you curious because you were so sure I'd be fired?

You told me yourself that you came to quit.

If you want to know, ask the president.

Ask her why she's letting a swindler like me work for her.

Hwan Oppa

See you.

Oppa.

I know you're sorry.

We were supposed to meet, so what happened to you?

I didn't think we were. I thought I was calling you after work.

I asked you to make time for me at dinner. Why didn't you call me?

I drank after work.

With who?

Am I being reprimanded right now?

No. You said you'd call me after work, so I was waiting.

It slipped my mind.

But why did you want to see me?

There's something I wanted to show you. About Eun Sung.

Eun Sung?

Do you have time today?

I have no time this week since I'll be busy with the East Sea delivery.

I see.

My uncle has a hotel in the East Sea.

He must have been put in charge of the cruise restaurant.

The cruise has two routes and he asked me to take charge of one.

Eun Sung. I'd thought cruises were only in foreign countries, but this is really cool.

So did you decide to do it?

Not yet.

I think I'll need your help so I'm asking you to come.

What do I need to help with?

You'll know when you get there.

When are you free?

- We're doing a bidding there too. - Really? Why didn't you tell me?

That was before we got permission to do the bidding.

I'm happy for you! When is it? I'll go with you.

I'm not going by myself. I have to go with someone.

Who?

Hwan?

Yes.

- Just the two of you? - Yeah. Both of us are in charge.

Well then, I'll meet you there. Don't you have free time after work on the first day?

- But what is it? - You'll find out when you get there!

And when we come back, let's work on the lawsuit.

I found one of my law school seniors who does appeals for free.

I told him about your situation and he asked me to bring him the documents.

Are you serious?

Wait, are you saying it's free when it's really not?

There are a lot of lawyers that do a few cases per month for free for community service.

Do you think he can win?

He said there's a good chance.

Really?

Why didn't you come home last night? Grandma is furious!

Grandma.

Why did you stay out all night without calling?

Haven't I told you that you can eat wherever you want but not with sleeping?

I thought it was great that you came home every night no matter how drunk you were.

I got drunk and passed out.

Go Eun Sung told me to buy these flowers.

Grandma, what is your reason for sending Eun Sung back to the second branch?

Is it really because of the sales?

What are you asking?

Do you trust her?

How can I trust her when I've been deceived so many times in my life?

I don't even trust my family.

Then what made you trust her enough to hand over the company?

You said if it's Eun Sung, you believe that our company will be run the way you want.

I did say that.

So what was it about her at the time that made you trust her?

Eun Sung has compassion.

Compassion?

Anyone normal has a sense of sympathy,

but compassion is a little different.

If sympathy is feeling pity for somebody,

compassion is not being able to turn around and leave that person.

Not being able to leave them?

Anyone can look at a poor person and say,

"Man, I feel bad for them,"

but doesn't reach out a helping hand.

A compassionate person does.

That time when Eun Sung helped me and took care of me for a week.

It's like the story in the Bible about the widow giving her coin.

It's not that she gave me her leftovers, but that she shared her hunger with me.

Eun Sung was that poor then.

So you do trust Go Eun Sung.

But if Eun Sung had known who I was, the story is different.

Did she look like she did?

If I'd known that, would I be selling beef soup?

I would be doing psychic readings.

So are you saying you trust her or not?

I experienced Eun Sung briefly, for a very short period of time.

But you seem to have experienced her deeply, over a long period.

What does your instinct tell you?

Who cares about my instinct?

There are the things Seung Mi and her mother said.

Then both of us would have to think long and hard.

If we get the delivery for the East Sea, we'll reach 20%.

When that happens, what are you going to do with Eun Sung?

I'm thinking.

Wow. A suit and a travel bag?

I didn't think I'd ever see you go on a business trip.

My son looks like a real man now!

You didn't know that before?

Of course I did. I gave birth to you.

But that's not what I mean. You know what they say.

A hard-working man is beautiful.

It's "A hard-working man is sexy." That's why I like Jun Se Oppa.

- How's Jun Se Hyung sexy? - Oppa.

A guy looking at a guy is different from a girl looking at a guy.

Grandma said you needed to work hard so she can see you like this.

Back in the day, your father was so handsome when he was working.

Where's Grandma?

She's been leaving early every morning. She must be embarrassed by us.

By the way, where are you staying? Did you make hotel reservations?

Mom, of course not. He's only an employee.

Anyway, it must suck for you.

What are you going to do with Go Eun Sung during free time?

What are you saying?!

Hwan, stay at a different hotel.

This is business. Who cares who I'm going with?

It's just business, so stop nagging me.

Have you ever seen a mom who doesn't worry when her kid's playing by the water?

You're not my mom!

God is so cruel. Why is he making you go with that jerk?

I'm going to see Jun Se Oppa there.

Dear Lord, please save this Eun Sung lamb from the devil's temptation!

Why is he the devil?

Taking his side already! You cannot lose your mind in the ocean.

All right!

If your mind is ever shaken, before thinking about Seung Mi,

think about the Sun Woo family.

Hyung, you're not going to close up the restaurant and move to the East Sea for good, are you?

Why? Can't I?

Of course not! What about me?

Gross. I have to go.

Wait, Hyung, that ahjusshi came again. That one who won't tell us his name.

That ahjusshi came back again? He said he was leaving Seoul for good.

He said goodbye to me too, but came back asking for a job.

So, did you tell him no?

I immediately gave him a job.

I'm shocked!

He is a veteran with a lot of experience,

so I decided to do him a favor just for your sake.

Oh, and he's actually very good at his job.

I should go see him once I come back from the East Sea.

Hyung, I got it. Go, go.

I want to find a way to contact an alumna, Jung In Young.

Jung In Young is my junior, but how do you know her?

I have something to ask her.

I can't just give it to you. If you leave your name and number, I'll let her know.

I don't have a number to give you.

You don't?

Then I'll come back in two days. Please tell In Young it's about Go Eun Sung.

Go Eun Sung?

Yes.

Some shabby-looking ahjusshi? Why would someone like him look for me?

Go Eun Sung? That's my high school friend.

He said it's related to Go Eun Sung?

Seeing as the president hasn't called, I don't think she'll approve.

Well, then we'll just have to deliver only beef soup like the original plan.

What on earth did you add?

Sun Woo Hwan, she didn't say anything at home?

She doesn't talk to me about work.

You were busy preparing for several days for nothing, Supervisor Eun Sung.

That's okay.

- You should go now. - Manager!

Can I go too?

Why?

Hyung and Noona aren't even like partners.

How can they spend two days one night when they ignore each other like this?

- I'll go to lighten things up... - Forget it!

Let's go.

- If I really go with you guys, I'll get beat up. - Soo Jae.

Bye.

Here are the new management application and proposal you asked for.

- You didn't report this to anyone, right? - Right.

I did it myself. No one knows.

Good. This needs to be sent before the ship departs, so send Yoo Seung Mi.

Yoo Seung Mi?

She can learn more about biddings and gain experiences.

There's registration on the first day, then the meeting the next day,

so it should be two days and one night.

Ms. Yoo Seung Mi.

Yes, Manager.

I'm sorry for the late notice, but you'll have to go on a business trip.

A trip?

There's something to add to the East Sea bidding documents,

and the president asked that I send you.

The president wanted to send me?

She said to send you so you can learn more about biddings.

What time and where should I go?

The president approved it?

I just got the call, so prepare the meeting with the second proposal.

I see. What about the documents?

They're sending someone from the main branch. She'll be in front of the building.

Okay. We'll run it.

Okay.

Grandma approved it?

She just called and said we're combining the menu with the East Sea food.

She should've told us earlier. Who's bringing the documents?

Someone from the main branch will be by the building 10 minutes before.

Why is she asking for the car keys all of a sudden?

What happened? A business trip all of a sudden?

Hwan left some documents before leaving for the East Sea...

and Grandma asked that I bring them to him.

Grandma wanted you to?

Wait, why would Hwan go to the East Sea?

For the bidding. He's already on his way with Eun Sung.

I have to go. I'll talk to you later.

He's going with Eun Sung?

What do you want to eat?

I don't want anything, so you go ahead.

What?

- Can I have a serving of dduk-bok-ee? - Okay.

- Ah, and squid too. - Yes.

You're buying so much, considering you said you didn't want anything.

When you're on a highway, you have to eat things like this.

- Go eat! - Forget it!

Telling me to eat alone...

Geez.

You're worse than me. Starving me?

You're the one who didn't eat when I told you to.

Where's your compassion? You're eating it all by yourself.

You said you don't eat this kind of stuff. Do you want some walnut cookies?

- They're too sweet. - Then eat this.

How do I eat dduk-bok-ee while driving?

- Then eat some squid. - It smells.

I want dduk-bok-ee.

Give me some!

You eat it!

If we get into an accident while I eat dduk-bok-ee,

are you going to take responsibility for my life?

Here.

Not bad. Give me more.

Geez.

The two already left, so call Go Eun Sung once you get there.

Are you on your way? Where are you?

You left pretty early. I'll see you when it's over.

I think we'll be done at around 4.

Yes. See you later.

Jun Se Hyung is coming?

You think this is a vacation? Why did you bring Park Jun Se?

He's coming for business too. He got an offer from a restaurant.

What?

That's why he's coming.

Same difference! Why is he coming when he has his own things to do?

We're just meeting after work. What's so bad about that?

You're half of my heart

Will You Marry Me? (singer: Lee Seung Gi)

I'll be half of your heart

For every moment that I take a breath, I'll love you

As time passes, and even when we get wrinkles

Just like it is now, you and I will forever be together

Wow! It's so pretty, isn't it?

I'll love you more, I'll cherish you more

Yeah, it is.

When your tears flow, if you're having a hard time

If you're hurt, I'll hurt together with you

The ocean smells good.

I'll love you forever, I'll protect you forever

When your tears flow, if you're having a hard time

If you're hurt, I'll hurt together with you

I'll love you forever, I'll protect you forever

I'm grateful that I've met someone good like you

Everyday... I just want to love only you

Will you marry me?

Cool.

We have some time left. What do you want to do?

We can go somewhere to read the proposal.

You still haven't memorized it after reading it that many times?

We have some time left over, that's why.

What's that?

Doesn't that look like someone?

I get sad whenever I see Grandma.

Not when you see me?

Wait, you're supposed to walk barefoot at these places.

Oh, this feels good!

Try taking your shoes off.

Hey!

Stand there.

It's okay.

- Go stand. - I said it's fine.

You said you're going to live by memories when you're old.

You're going to need pictures for that.

Did you take it?

Hurry up and take it!

How unfashionable. What kind of pose is that?

Then you do it. Let's see how good you are.

Forget it!

Well, then why'd you make me take one?

I'm already good enough. I don't need pictures.

Let me have it, I'll take one for you!

It's fine!

- You wanted to send your car back to Seoul? - Yes.

Try calling the number I gave you for the address. It's my mom's number.

- The fee? - You can get it there.

I'll give you the picture once we get home.

You better.

- Wow, it's so pretty here. - Yeah, it is.

Did I surprise you?

What are you doing here?

The president asked me to give you the documents, so here I am.

Grandma told you to come?

That's why I came. How else would I be here at this hour?

Eun Sung.

Yeah.

We're here for business, so let's try to get along.

I couldn't refuse since the president asked me.

Yeah, okay.

How'd you get all the way over here?

I took the cab here. I was afraid I'd be late.

I'll go in first.

You should do a good job at the meeting tomorrow.

Seems like all our competition is here.

I'll do well.

You're finished?

When did you get here?

Just now.

It's been a while, Seung Mi.

I didn't know you were coming.

I joined them later. The president sent me.

What brings you here?

The cruise ship arrives today, so there are some things I want to discuss with Eun Sung.

So I can look around the ship?

Yeah. We should go now.

What are you guys going to do?

- Oppa, let's... - We can come too, right?

You can come, but you don't have to.

Then we'll go. If we can look around before we win the bidding,

it'll help us for tomorrow's meeting.

Let's go then.

It's better than you think, right?

It's different from the pictures.

Let's go. I'll show you around.

We should go too.

Let's see it.

It's tiring, huh.

That's cool.

Pretty.

Why did you bring us here? It's tiring.

I'm deciding between taking charge of the Russian or the Japanese route.

What do you think, Eun Sung?

Excuse me?

I have a restaurant in Seoul and I thought...

it'd be good if I was in charge of a cruise restaurant with you and Hye Ri.

The cruise restaurant we saw before?

Your job at the second branch will be over in a month.

You're not going to work for Jin Sung anyway, so you'll need a new path.

I know, but...

You should travel around for a while to relax and show people the food you've invented.

We have Hye Ri, so you'll be able to take care of business as well.

Cruise restaurant. It does sound awesome.

I'm starving.

We were only thinking of ourselves. We'll talk about this by ourselves later.

Oppa, where are we staying?

I already made reservations. I hope you two like it.

Us two?! You want to divide us up like this?

Hwan and I were originally going to use this one and Eun Sung use that one.

Let me know if you're uncomfortable. I'll find a different place for you.

It's fine with me.

- I'm going to put my stuff inside. - Just wash your hands. Let's eat dinner.

Put your bag inside and come to the car. The men are supposed to cook.

I was going to do that.

We could have gone out to eat. You're cooking even at a place like this?

Steak cooked outside is very good.

I feel like we're interrupting your date. Wine and all.

When I saw that you were here, I thought you guys would take the hint and leave us.

When are those done?

They're done. Pass me the plates.

Here.

I prepared this knowing Hwan was coming too.

This is for Eun Sung.

She can't eat clams.

Aren't you eating?

I am.

The clams are boiling.

I'm allergic to clams.

You can't eat clams, Eun Sung?

Yeah, I'm allergic.

I'm sorry, Eun Sung.

I think I misunderstood something.

What do you mean?

You didn't have bad intentions and it really could have been a misunderstanding.

Mom is preparing to clear everything.

She found the IOU and she's been contacting the creditors too.

- Really? - Stop, Seung Mi.

That sort of talk isn't appropriate right now.

I just wanted to clear all the misunderstandings between me and Eun Sung.

Fine, I got it.

But I'm getting ready, too.

Okay. Whatever you do, I hope you clear it all up.

Here, let me do it.

Drink this.

Why, what is up with this sudden headache?

You've had a lot on your mind lately.

True. I must be sick, getting stuck in the past.

Anyway, I just heard from Jung that Jun Se went to the East Sea as well.

Jun Se too?

Apparently he went because of a co-managing offer over there.

Really? All four are together, huh.

I wonder what they're doing.

What else? Bumping against each other until they're bruised.

Hwan is going to have the hardest time.

What can I do?

It's his part to deal with.

Young people are so passionate that if you mess with them, they'll blow.

They need to end things on their own so there won't be any regret.

A half moon.

Where is she going in the dark?

Seung Mi

This is Park Jun Se.

Why are you picking up?

Hwan isn't here.

- When did he leave? - I'm not sure.

Why are you up this early?

Since I've woken up, I wanted to see the sunrise with Hwan.

Eun Sung's not here either.

Don't do it.

Don't do anything with Park Jun Se.

Don't run a restaurant with him. Don't go anywhere with him.

Don't do anything!

- What's wrong with you? - Be by my side.

My side!

What can we do with those people?

Do you know what we have between us?

Seung Mi and Jun Se.

Grandma, Mom and Jung who think I'm a horrible swindler.

My Eun Woo and my dad.

So please stop.

Stop right there.

Why do those things matter?

I trust you.

I like you.

I want to have you.

Here.

You found this?

I think I saw a similar necklace.

He plays the piano well too. Do you want to see him?

Can you go out and play the piano?

- The girl Hyung likes is here. Spy. - Spy?

Seung Mi. Can't you give Hwan up?

Grandmother doesn't believe in us. She believes in Eun Sung.

If Hwan Oppa was a person I could give up, do you think I'd have gone to that extent?

I wish for two things.

I want Seung Mi not to lose Hwan.

And I want my daughter to have financial control after she marries Hwan.

I told you not to do that, didn't I? Sort out your feelings for Eun Sung!

Can you control your emotions as you wish? Is Eun Sung your woman?!

So, in the end you guys came to this?

Yes, I like that person.
