[The Blossoming Love]

[Episode 17]

Is this true?

My mother loved Sang Qi?

She was forced to marry my father to nurture the Chaos Pearl?

Qiumin.

You heard it, right?

Forget everything.

Go back.

They say that time apart makes the heart grow fonder.

You've set a barrier outside. No one can get in.

How about...

You were away for too long.

I couldn't wait for you. I wanted to sleep first.

Since you're back, why don't we continue?

I still have many things to do. I can't always watch over you.

I'll take you back to Snow City first.

Snow City?

What's wrong? Are you taking me back to the Frozen Dungeon again?

No.

No one can lock you up in the Frozen Dungeon again.

No one can do that.

But, Xie Xuechen, Sang Qi is forcing me to help him find the Chaos Pearl.

Go back with me to Snow City first. I'll find a way to remove the Heartstring.

Alliance Leader Xie, it's best that you don't force her to go to Snow City.

Otherwise, the Heartstring left in her soul by His Grace will immediately take her life.

You can even cultivate an illusionary clone?

Do you think the Illusion Pill can only be used once?

Why is she here? Did Master change the plan?

Xie Xuechen's sword energy can't be underestimated.

It wasn't easy to cultivate an illusionary clone. It was wasted after one usage.

What a pity.

Desire Shadow, that fool. How could she lock me in here?

This is Xie Xuechen's Cage of Greed.

Why did I end up in his Cage of Greed?

He's indeed the City Lord of Snow City.

He is always thinking about this lousy mountain.

Fine. Since I'm here, I'll see what his current greed is.

Stop!

Father.

I entrusted you with this sword, Immeasurable Ambition, along with the fate of the world.

You've disappointed me.

I sent you back to Snow Cliff for seclusion to purge your mind of distractions.

You've disappointed me again.

Do you still remember what you told me?

"If I don't have strong faith, I'll never leave the mountain."

Since you know your mistakes, why not correct them?

The Human Clan didn't have spiritual apertures in the past.

We couldn't cultivate spiritual power.

We could only look up to the Divine Clan and pray for their protection.

Spiritual apertures are gifts from the Divine Clan.

You were born with ten spiritual apertures and blessed by Heaven and Earth.

You let personal feelings disrupt your sword's resolve and your faith!

I don't understand.

Father, I really don't understand.

I'm willing to die for the people of the world.

I can protect them for a hundred years, a thousand years.

Why can't I love someone too?

You're hopeless.

She is your desire, and also your inner demon.

Kill her.

It's just an illusion and you can't bear to kill it?

Or perhaps, you would rather stay in this illusion?

No.

I won't kill her.

Since I can't let go, I won't.

She has never been my enemy or an obstacle to the righteous path that I seek.

So, am I your inner demon?

It has always been you.

You're here. Does it mean this is also your Cage of Greed?

Then,

am I also your inner demon?

I remember now.

Only two people who are each other's desires can enter the same Cage of Greed.

Is that true?

Xie Xuechen is my inner demon, too.

♫ I hope I can tell you in this life ♫

Mu Xuanling...

♫ It's like the warm wind kissing the fields ♫

Fake. It's all fake!

♫ Please follow me to watch the fireworks in the world ♫

Mu Xuanling!

Mu Xuanling!

We're in the Two Realms Mountain.

This place is fake. It's an illusion.

I'll take you out of here.

Break!

♫ Because we hold each other tightly, because you're still ♫

♫ bright and beautiful as yesterday ♫

♫ Because we hold each other tightly, because you're still ♫

♫ My support as before ♫

I just sensed a surge of spiritual power.

What happened?

The illusionary clone of Desire Shadow just appeared.

She mentioned that Sang Qi planted the Heartstring in Mu Xuanling's soul.

After we broke out of the Cage of Greed, this is her condition.

I tried to transfer my spiritual power to her but it won't go in.

In her soul?

Back then in the Dark Domain, Sang Qi planted the Heartstring in her heart pulse.

It now seems the location has changed.

You share the same spiritual source with her.

Try checking her spiritual platform to see if there are any disparities.

It's done.

She doesn't have spiritual essence.

The spiritual platform is very important to her.

I didn't dare to forcibly remove it. I could only seal it temporarily.

If I hadn't let Sang Qi take her away,

she wouldn't have suffered like this.

Is that gray mole on her eyelid also a mark of the Heartstring?

Does she have anything else on her body?

No, nothing else.

[Temple of Divine Execution]

Your Grace, my illusionary clone died.

But I don't understand why you ordered me to lock up the Saintess together with him.

Because... they will share the same cage.

I wanted Xie Xuechen to be aware of this.

So, the Saintess also loves Xie Xuechen?

But why would she...

Even if you recall something, as long as the Enlightened-heart Water is there,

you'll feel that piercing pain again and also forget all your emotions.

Xie Xuechen who believes Mu Xuanling loves him

and Mu Xuanling who no longer loves Xie Xuechen...

My dear disciple, isn't this plan more brilliant than yours?

- Xie Xuechen... - Miss Mu.

Mu Xuanling.

Xie Xuechen.

Xie Xuechen.

Xie Xuechen!

It's fine now.

Without resolving the Enlightened-heart Water, how can she possibly feel love?

The Heartstring has been sealed.

It's fine now.

Xie Xuechen and I are in love with each other.

Knowing he's not here, you came in alone.

Is this proper?

Or perhaps Villa Master Nan prefers it this way?

Last night, you deliberately led us to discover the Heartstring, didn't you?

How strange.

It always seems harder to deceive you than Xie Xuechen.

You're even willing to endure piercing pain just to deceive him.

If I can fool Xie Xuechen, what does a little pain matter?

But I didn't expect Desire Shadow to show up.

Perhaps Master thought the act wasn't convincing.

After such suffering, Xie Xuechen will never leave me alone again.

Otherwise, he'll send me back to Snow City.

This is not in my plan.

Looking at you now, you seem quite unfamiliar.

This is who I really am.

The one before was just a disguise.

You kept it a secret for me and didn't tell Xie Xuechen.

I'm very touched.

To me, Xie Xuechen is nothing more than a key to finding the Chaos Pearl.

But you're different from others.

You're clever.

You saw through me at first glance.

When we first met, I thought you were a threat.

But now, I've changed my mind.

Perhaps we can become closer friends.

Right?

You removed the barrier. Do you trust her completely now?

She's indeed different from before. There are still some doubts

but I want to trust her.

What if she causes trouble again?

If she causes trouble in front of me, it's my fault then.

You're just like your sword, always charging forward.

It seems there's no outcome that's unbearable.

I should leave now.

- But as for Mu Xuanling... - You don't need to worry about her.

I'll take good care of her.

I know. I'm leaving.

[Rejuvenation Pavilion]

Master is peculiar.

There must be more hidden secrets

and are related to the Chaos Pearl.

I must inform Xie Xuechen as soon as possible.

- City Lord. - City Lord.

No, I can't go directly over there.

If Mirage Palace's disciples see me, they'll report to Master.

What's so interesting? What are you looking at?

Didn't you go back to the Dark Domain with Sang Qi?

My friends and loved one are in the human realm.

Of course, I came back.

There's no way Sang Qi would let you return so easily.

I don't believe it.

Of course, my heart is with Xie Xuechen. I risked my life to come back.

I regard you as my friend. You don't trust me.

Friend?

At most, we're just on greeting terms.

I showed you some respect and you became so proud.

I must be overthinking it.

I won't stop you if you want to be friends with me

but let me tell you, don't pull any tricks.

Otherwise, I'll punch you like this

- until... - Xie Xuechen is leaving.

- Hurry up! - No, wait a moment!

Wait a moment! I can't go there.

If I go over there and Mirage Palace finds out,

Master won't spare me. I'm begging you...

The Mirage Palace's disciples are patrolling the outer circle.

Otherwise, how could I be here?

Why didn't you tell me earlier?

Xie Xuechen!

Cultivator Gao, you sneaked here.

You must have found something.

Follow me.

This must be related to Venerable Miao Hua.

In other words, the former master of Mirage Palace,

Venerable Miao Hua made an agreement with Villa Master Gao.

Venerable Miao Hua forced your mother to marry Villa Master Gao

and used her physique of the Primordial Yin Maiden to nurture the Chaos Pearl.

But they didn't say that Venerable Miao Hua replaced the real Chaos Pearl.

If the Chaos Pearl is not in Mirage Palace,

why would Su Ningzhen be so afraid that she passed her power to Cultivator Gao?

Was she frightened by Alliance Leader Xie?

But they did mention the real Chaos Pearl.

It's just that they didn't say where it was.

I left the palace to find Venerable Miao Hua on the same night.

I heard after she resigned as the Palace Master, she wandered the world

and was never seen again.

It turns out she's still near Mirage Palace.

When I was young, I secretly followed Master to the woods near Mirage Palace.

There was a cave there.

When Master found out, she was furious and immediately took me away.

Master later told me that Venerable Miao Hua lived there.

She was gravely ill back then.

After handing over the Palace Master post to my master, she lived there in seclusion.

Master kept this a secret to prevent anyone from disturbing her.

However, when I went to the cave this time,

I discovered that Master lied to me.

[Venerable Miao Hua]

Who are you?

Venerable, I'm Qiumin.

Gao Qiumin.

Back then, you and Master brought me back from Bright Moon Villa.

You are that child...

What... What is going on here?

Naturally, it's the work of my dear disciple.

Her older sister died.

She has had endless nightmares and couldn't sleep.

Only by occasionally visiting me in this condition,

she can find peace of mind.

What do you know? Why are you here?

I wanted to ask you where the Chaos Pearl is.

The one in Snow City was found to be a fake?

No wonder she passed her power to you.

Did you hide the Chaos Pearl?

Where is it now?

No one hid the Chaos Pearl.

It's just that no one can find it.

"No one hid the Chaos Pearl."

"It's just that no one can find it."

What did she mean by that?

I don't know either.

And I've never seen Master hide anything.

Perhaps the Chaos Pearl is really not in Mirage Palace.

During the conversation between Palace Master Su and the elders,

they mentioned there were clues in Bright Moon Villa.

Since they don't want others to know about the internal matters,

what happened in the past may be the key to finding the Chaos Pearl.

I was very young back then and don't remember much.

And my father never allowed me to enter my mother's room.

We can only go to Bright Moon Villa to investigate thoroughly.

We must hurry.

I snuck out of Mirage Palace.

If Master finds out, she'll dispatch people after me.

- You don't need to... - Of course, I'll go with you to Bright Moon Villa.

There might be danger.

And the Heartstring in you might cause changes.

Hasn't the Heartstring been sealed?

Besides, I've mastered the Jade Archway Technique.

If there's any danger, I should fight along with you.

Moreover, Nan Xuyue is not here.

If the Heartstring causes trouble, who but you can control me?

You wouldn't want me to create trouble again. Right?

Let's go.

Wait! When did Mu Xuanling start practicing the Jade Archway Technique?

Isn't that Xie Xuechen's technique?

And what is Heartstring? Where's the danger?

Wait, you two! Wait for me!

Can't anyone explain this to me?

Older Brother, turn the pages faster!

Faster!

A'Bao, I've been flipping for several days.

Can I take a break?

But I haven't seen my father for a long time.

I'm really scared I'll forget what he looks like.

Didn't you say you've never seen your father?

I'm scared my mother will forget what he looks like.

All right!

A'Bao, don't cry.

I will help you to find him. Okay?

Next volume.

[Name List of Family Branches]

Time to eat?

Older Brother, help me to find my father again. Okay?

A'Bao, look...

I've really flipped through every single page.

There's no Fu Cangli in Jade Sky Palace.

Then where's my father?

I miss my father.

- I want to find my father! - A'Bao...

- A'Bao, listen to me. - Please keep looking. Okay?

- A'Bao... - I want to find my father!

Maybe there's another way.

Father, I'm begging you!

Let me have the Blood Mirror.

After I've helped A'Bao to find her father, I'll return it to you immediately.

You don't care about the family business or focus on your cultivation.

As the Young Palace Master, you spend all day with a little girl from the Spirit Clan.

How disgraceful!

A'Bao is a little girl who came all the way here to find her father

Since I promised to help her, I must keep my word.

Look for her father? So what?

Why did she end up here?

Seriously.

Her father is Fu Cangli.

It's said that he's the richest human cultivator in the world.

I think he may be related to our Jade Sky Palace.

What's her father's name?

Fu Cangli.

Father, do you know him?

No.

I've never heard of him.

You've been flipping through the family records and register recently.

- Was it to look for her father? - Yes.

That little girl is from the Spirit Clan.

Her father's a human cultivator.

Obviously, his wife is from the Spirit Clan.

Do you know where their family usually live?

How would I know?

I didn't ask that much.

A'Bao merely said her father left years ago and didn't return home.

So, Father, we really need to help her.

If we can't find him here, let me have the Blood Mirror. I'll go out and look.

No, you can't!

Why not?

It's just a Blood Mirror.

Just lend it to him. Okay?

- That's right. - Dear, you...

Bring it out.

Bring it out!

The Blood Mirror.

Thank you, Mother!

You always know how to care for people.

Over here.

How does that feel?

Comfortable?

Let me massage you again.

The Blood Mirror...

Thank you, Mother.

A'Bao!

Dear, why did you lend it to him?

You used the Blood Mirror before.

Apart from what Lansheng saw, you couldn't see anything else.

The Blood Mirror requires blood from a close relative to work.

Hence, this is fate.

If someone can't be found, they simply can't be found.

And those meant to return, they can't be stopped either.

Let them go.

Maybe they'll get some results.

Will this treasure really help me to find my father?

This mirror is called the Blood Mirror.

My father obtained it from an evil cultivator.

This evil cultivator practiced the blood sacrifice techniques.

He used his blood to induce others to drink it.

He used this Blood Mirror to sense and see those who are blood related to him.

He can see what they see.

I was curious once.

I dripped my blood on it and saw what my mother saw.

If I drip my blood on it,

can I meet my father then?

No.

You can only see what he's seeing now.

Come.

Who are these three people?

I can't see clearly.

Why does it feel like I'm being watched?

It must be an illusion.

Why is your father following them?

Does he want to rob them?

My father has tons of treasures. Why would he rob anyone?

The spiritual herbs around them are quite rare.

I heard they only grow near Bright Moon Villa.

Bright Moon Villa?

Let's take the Blood Mirror.

Let's go and meet your father.

Vegetables for sale! [Bright Moon Villa Town]

Homegrown vegetables! [Clothing Shop]

- Here you go! - Sir, do you want to buy some vegetables?

No, thanks.

Buns!

Buns!

This place wasn't that depressing.

Buns!

Hot buns!

Excuse me, sir.

May I ask why this town is so deserted?

Do you know there used to be a Bright Moon Villa here?

It's said that years ago, a group of demons came here

and slaughtered everyone in that villa.

The cultivators in there were all wiped out.

The town was affected, too.

Everyone says this place is ominous. Too many people died.

No one has dared to come here to protect us after that.

Those who could leave, have left.

Sir, why do you still stay here?

Me?

I was born here.

If I leave, where could I go?

Do you want some?

No, thank you.

All right. Take care.

After my master was taken away, she never returned to this place.

- I didn't expect... - You didn't kill those people.

You should avenge them instead of feeling sad.

Is she... comforting me?

Stop wasting time on pointless sorrow.

Let's go.

Let's head to Bright Moon Villa first.

The three of you!

- Older Sister! - It's been a while!

- Cultivator Fu. - Fu Lansheng.

Older Sister, I missed you so much!

You've finally come back, Older Sister.

I missed you, too.

It would be much better if you could sniff out the location of the Chaos Pearl.

How did you know we were here?

Funny enough, it's a short story.

Older Brother, I made a new discovery. Come and take a look!

We used the Blood Mirror and found out that A'Bao's father was following you.

Thus, we came along.

Why would A'Bao's father follow us?

No idea.

When we used the Blood Mirror again, we couldn't see anything.

I'm guessing he used some method to block the detection of the artifact.

Your father is mysterious.

So what are your plans now?

The Blood Mirror doesn't work anymore.

We might find A'Bao's father if we follow you.

You still haven't found her?

I haven't.

I've dispatched more people

to search the roads from Mirage Palace to Bright Moon Villa.

If I had known earlier, I would've locked her up in this room!

Will you lock her up until she dies?

Once suspicion takes root, there will be no peace.

I just went to the back mountain.

Qiumin met with Venerable Miao Hua.

She has been more disobedient lately.

Let them meet.

Mirage Palace is most important to that woman.

She won't reveal anything to her.

The priority now is not to find Qiumin.

Forget it.

That place can't be left as it is.

Send people with the celestial artifacts to Bright Moon Villa

to destroy the house where my older sister lived.

Understood.

Why must you be so curious about the past?

Some things are better left buried.

[Bright Moon Villa]

Cultivator Gao.

Cultivator Gao!

What's wrong?

It's nothing.

I just recalled some things from the past.

Let's search my mother's room first. There might be clues there.

I never imagined this place would end up like this.

You also experienced what happened back then.

Aren't you afraid to see this?

I barely remember anything.

Barely remember?

Weren't you full of hatred back then?

I can barely remember anything now.

Isn't that a good thing?

This was my mother's room.

This is actually the first time I've been inside her room.

A'Bao, it's dusty here.

- Wait outside for us. - All right.

Let's split up and search.

Strange.

It doesn't look like anyone has lived here.

Did someone pack up your mother's belongings?

Impossible.

When I was young, my father would stay here all afternoon whenever he was here.

He didn't allow anyone to come near my mother's room.

This array was set up by a master.

We also have similar restriction arrays in Jade Sky Palace.

They're used to protect precious artifacts and spiritual herbs.

Unless you know how to remove this restriction array,

it's impossible to open this folding door.

I... I don't know how to remove it.

Step aside.

The secret is right in front of us.

Let's take a look.

There's such a deep secret passage hidden beneath my mother's room.

My father never told me about this.

It seems Gao Fengxu kept quite a few secrets

from his daughter.
