Ah!

[Fu Hu, the Protector of the Dachan Faction]

Master.

After the Yujing City tomorrow morning,

we'll arrive at Pure Fox Valley.

I've informed Master Tu.

Don't let your guard down.

This place is quite big.

After yesterday's battle in the river valley,

the Daluo Sect will not rest in peace.

Master, now we have

fulfilled Master of Dachan's last wish

and found a way to eliminate the demons from Beyond Heaven.

Let's leave the matter of finding the descendants of Taishang Division

to Master Tu and the others.

You can live in seclusion.

No matter how capable they are,

they can't find you.

Demons are rampant. How can we be passive and shun the world?

If the Daluo Sect gets the half of the Gold Sealing Foil I have,

the suppression seal under Pure Fox Valley will loosen.

The consequences will be unimaginable.

Master.

Master!

Master, help me!

Master!

Disciple.

[Zhao Feirong, the Holy Maid of the Daluo Sect]

Master Fu Hu, how is the injury you suffered yesterday?

Your Dachan Faction and the Pure Fox Valley joined hands

to suppress the envoys from Beyond Heaven.

I'm here to give them freedom.

The demons from Beyond Heaven are causing harm to the mortal world.

You are being an accomplice to criminals.

I advise you to save your strength.

This is your last chance.

Hand over the Gold Sealing Foil.

Kill him!

Ah!

Congratulations, Holy Maid, on getting the Gold Foil.

I will try my best to find the other half.

[Mater Tu, the Patriarch of the Pure Fox Clan]

[SOUL OF LIGHT]

Master Tu, the four elders are protecting the barrier with their power.

[Xuanqi from the Pure Fox Clan]

I'm afraid in less than half a month,

they'll die of losing their power.

I'll take over the position of an elder in a few days

and buy more time.

The Daluo Sect has got half of the Gold Sealing Foil.

They are also catching our clansmen outside.

If they get the other half,

there's no turning back.

There is another valley about 5 miles

to the northwest. We can...

To protect the Suppression Stone

is our promise to Master of Dachan.

Our men have gone to find the descendant of the Taishang Division.

Master Tu.

How can we entrust our clan's fate to an outsider?

I know that the Dachan Faction had been kind to our Pure Fox Clan.

If it's not appropriate for you to be the villain who broke the promise,

I will.

Xuanqi, what we need is not only courage,

but also faith, faith in justice.

[Hong Yi]

[Shu from the Pure Fox Clan]

[Sang from the Pure Fox Clan]

[Binglun from the Pure Fox Clan]

Mother, please bless me to succeed in the imperial examination.

By then, you will be moved into the ancestral tomb of the Hong family.

Your memorial tablet will be worshipped in the ancestral hall.

From then on,

no one will ever defame you for having been an actress.

Young Master.

Young Master.

Young Master. Young Master.

Miss.

Young master.

Miss.

Young Master, don't go.

Young Master, don't go.

Who are you?

Who sent you here?

Why are you panicking?

Ladies, between the sexes there should be a prudent reserve.

Please leave.

You scholar, we just want to test you.

You take it seriously?

Don't get us wrong, Young Master. Actually, we want...

We are also scholars.

We have some questions to ask you.

Ladies, if you really need help,

please come again during the day.

Young Master, we're really in a hurry.

[Nanny Zeng from Hong's Residence]

Here you go again.

Hong Yi, you're good.

You moved to Xishan in the name of studying

to meet girls in private.

Nanny Zeng.

Since I moved out, you've been making things difficult for me every day.

You sent them here to take advantage of me, right?

Are you afraid that I will denounce your son's illegitimate wives

or that you misrepresent the expenses of the residence?

How dare you!

You don't want your monthly salary anymore?

Anyway, you always take my money at will.

Why are you asking me today?

Why is the courtesan's portrait hung up again?

It can ruin the reputation of the Hong Family. It's inappropriate.

This is my mother's portrait. How dare you!

According to Daqian's laws,

you will be exiled for 100 miles if you beat a scholar.

You son of a concubine. I'll kill you today.

You scared Nanny Zeng to lose her mind.

The masters of Hong's Residence will surely come if they know.

I don't care who you are.

I advise you to leave now.

Young Master, please come with us.

Yes, what are you afraid of?

Ladies,

I'm going to the capital tomorrow for the exam.

If you have any academic questions,

after I return from my exam,

I'll go to your place and answer your questions.

But today,

please don't make it difficult for me.

I don't like this depressed atmosphere.

I thought

you would bring me some good news.

Right, Tuo Shan?

Holy Maid, there are many sayings about the location of the Pure Fox Valley.

It's hard to distinguish. I'll try my best to find it.

You're still so smooth-tongued.

It seems this mission is very difficult for you.

The Daluo Sect is willing to befriend the other sects.

Will you tell me

where the Pure Fox Valley is?

That means you have no manners.

Go catch more foxes.

At all costs.

Wait for me.

Mr. Hong.

It's a pity. You can take the exam next year.

Come and take a look.

Excuse me. Excuse me. Thank you.

Excuse me, why is my name not on the list?

That means you failed.

Everyone values equality the most

in the imperial examination.

If someone removes the name

of another person by force,

then what's the difference between them and robbers?

Hong Yi, right?

You are not allowed to practice martial arts in private according to your family rules.

You hurt your servant. Not only your name is removed,

your butler said

you will be imprisoned today.

Why did you stop?

No matter how knowledgeable you are, can you stand against Hong's Residence

or the Chief Examiner?

I didn't hurt the people of Hong's Residence.

I will argue with them.

But please let me take the exam first.

Get lost.

How can you practice martial arts with such a weak body?

What are you looking at? You won't take the exam?

Hurry up if you want to take the reexamination.

Inform the people of Hong's Residence

to arrest him.

Have you seen Hong Yi?

No.

Get lost!

Have you seen Hong Yi?

No.

Why are you here?

There's no time to explain. Come with me.

Wait.

My books.

-Hong Yi. -My books!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop! Stop!

Go after them!

Hurry! Over there!

Stop! Hurry!

Get him!

Get him!

Stop!

Stop!

Wait.

I can't run anymore.

Let me rest.

Young Master, come with me.

Not only you won't be able to take the exam,

I'm afraid you can't stay

in Yujing City anymore.

Come with me.

Miss, thank you for saving my life.

I really can't go with you.

Young Master. Please come with me.

You won't lose anything.

Catch that fox!

Wait, I can't run anymore.

They are not from Hong's Residence.

Why are they chasing us?

They must have come to catch me.

To catch you?

Why?

In order to enter the Pure Fox Village,

the Daluo Sect has been catching our clansmen.

You're a Pure Fox?

Anyway, come with me.

Only you can save us now.

Me? Save you?

They're coming.

Let's take a shortcut.

This...

Holy Maid, they entered the forest.

This is the the Forbidden Land of the Pure Fox Clan.

It's also the nearest path to the Pure Fox Valley.

The Daluo Sect is not familiar with it,

so they can't get in.

The Forbidden Land? How can you come in?

Young Master.

Don't be afraid of anything you see later.

Actually, I'm not familiar with this place.

I used to go the other way.

We were chased so hard this time, so I had to...

Let's get going.

What is this?

Forget about it. Let's go.

What is this?

This is the most ancient and mysterious funeral ceremony of the Pure Fox Clan.

We can't disturb them.

Let's go.

Ah!

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

What is this place?

How dare you!

Sir. You misunderstood.

You know it?

This is an ancient master of the Pure Fox Clan.

It became insane being hurt by demons from Beyond Heaven years ago,

and began to attack the clansmen.

The patriarch had no choice but to confine it here.

I heard that only the long-lost Book of Past

can help it regain its sanity.

Let's go.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Miss, where did you bring me?

Young Master.

Young Master. Young Master.

Old fox, long time no see.

Zhao Feirong, you should stop now.

Master Tu, you still like to lecture others.

Old fox, wait and see.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Young Master Hong Yi.

Master doesn’t allow you to practice martial arts.

Leave. What are you looking at?

Leave!

Let go of me! I want to practice martial arts!

Let me go! I want to practice martial arts!

I want to practice martial arts!

Leave. He's son of an actress. Beat him.

My mother is not an actress.

Let go of me! My mother is not an actress!

Mother! Mother! Mother!

Mother, what's wrong with you?

Mother, what's wrong with you?

Mother, what's wrong?

Mother.

This little brat.

Why is he here again? Take him out.

Mother! Mother!

Let go of me! Mother!

Mother!

Mother!

Mother! Mother!

Young Master, you're awake.

I'm Master Tu, the Patriarch of the Pure Fox Clan.

Young Master, please come with me.

What did you see?

The village.

There is also confusion and fear.

A person's eyes can reveal his heart. Your eyes are clear.

But there's one more thing inside.

That's an unyielding courage.

You desperately want to prove yourself.

And you don't want to be manipulated by others.

I can feel your struggle.

The way in the past was not very friendly to you.

Maybe you can go a different way.

You can continue to take the imperial exam

or you can start a new world.

You only have one chance.

You have the right to choose.

Once you decide, there's no turning back.

Sir, I don't understand.

You don't have to give me an answer now.

Twenty years ago, the court forbade immortality cultivation.

In order to obtain the treasures guarded by the Dachan Faction,

all sects joined forces to annihilate the Dachan Faction.

But the demons from Beyond Heaven that attacked hundreds of years ago have been suppressed by the Dachan Faction.

The Daluo Sect wanted to release the demons and utilise them.

Before Master of Dachan passed away,

he entrusted the task of guarding the seal to the Pure Fox Clan.

The demons from Beyond Heaven

have been suppressed under the Pure Fox Valley.

Little Tu Shan.

You must guard it well.

This is the Gold Sealing Foil.

It's the key to open the seal.

I divided it into two.

One is for you to keep.

Little Tu Shan.

I'll leave this to you.

Fu Hu, when you find a way to eliminate the demons,

you can open the seal

and get rid of them.

Yes.

Little Tu Shan.

I'm counting on you to guard the Suppression Stone.

The Daluo Sect wants to control demons.

But the demons from Beyound Heaven are extremely scary.

They will parasite on living creatures in the world.

Holy Maid Zhao Feirong of the Daluo Sect can also absorb power from them.

Now, Master Fu Hu is dead.

Zhao Feirong got half of the Gold Foil.

If she gets the other half,

the consequences will be unimaginable.

And your other way

is to stop all of this.

Me?

Master Fu Hu has found a way to eliminate the demons,

which is to use the sacred relic of the Taishang Division.

Only you can get it.

Sir, I've been banned from practicing martial arts since I was young.

I have no foundation.

Besides, the Taishang Division has already disappeared.

It's hard to find them. How can I get their sacred relic?

Your mother is Meng Bingyun, the Holy Maid of the Taishang Division.

And you are the only descendant of the Taishang Division.

Sir, you knew my mother?

We just met once back then.

The reason why outsiders can't find the Pure Fox Valley

is that your mother set a barrier for us.

That's impossible. My mother was just an ordinary person.

She was bullied by Mrs. Hong for many years.

Later, she died of illness.

You said my mother was the Holy Maid of Taishang Division. That's...

But this is the truth.

Your mother gave me this book.

She once said that it contains high-level martial arts,

and if we meet one day,

I should give it to you.

Sir, isn't this just an ordinary book of martial arts?

I haven't figured out

the secrets in it yet.

I'm giving it to you now.

It's time to tell me your choice.

Young Master, Master forbids you to practice martial arts.

What are you looking at?

-Let go of me. I want to practice martial arts. -Let's go!

How can you practice martial arts with such a weak body?

I'm willing to give it a try.

To obtain the sacred relic of the Taishang Division,

it's not enough to be a descendant.

You still have to train hard.

I heard that if one wants to cultivate,

he needs to learn out-of-body travel in the daytime and at night.

After learning manipulating objects, possessing souls, and experiencing lightning torture,

eventually he can become an immortal.

To learn out-of-body travel, you need to master astral projection first,

and then try to travel a thousand miles a day,

after that, the first stage will be completed.

How long will it take?

You're talented, but you need to start with stabilizing your primordial spirit.

Come out.

Hong Yi, you just started cultivation.

Your primordial spirit is still uncontrollable.

You need to practice gradually.

Master Tu, what's going on?

How can I go back, Master Tu?

I...

What...

What happened?

Let go of me! Don't touch me!

This is the Soul Capturing Incense. It can make your primordial spirit

not be controlled by the external force.

Let's go. I'll show you around.

Where to go? What about this?

Welcome, Holy Maid.

Welcome?

Why do I feel like you're not very happy?

Why are you so serious?

Do you have something to say to me?

Do you have something to say to me?

Your efficiency

makes it hard for me.

But I think there will be a solution.

Holy Maid, there is one thing

that you must be interested in.

The one we met in Mystery Forest was Hong Yi, an illegitimate son of the Hong Family.

See? Isn't there a solution?

Good.

The essence of cultivation is soul cultivation.

But you have to strengthen your body first.

I've invited a friend to help you.

Young Master. Let me introduce to you.

This is Bai Ziyue, Mr. Bai.

After drinking Monkey Wine,

you will dare to walk alone to Qingshakou.

Even when you see the emperor,

you won't kowtow.

Good wine.

The first thing to practice martial arts

is to cultivate the flesh, tendon, skin

and membrane. Take it.

Let me see the results of your recent cultivation.

Control your heart and mind.

Even out your strength to balance yin and yang.

Hong Yi, it's the duty you must bear as a descendant

of the Taishang Division to eliminate demons from Beyond Heaven.

I need to go to Yuantu to deal with the thunder tribulation.

Please take care of the Pure Fox Clan.

When you're done, come see me at Yuantu.

What is that place?

After the seal was loosened, the demons came out from the valley and possessed the clansmen.

The four elders had to cover it up with the barrier

to protect the rest clansmen temporarily.

Only by eliminating the demons can they regain their sanity.

I'm sorry.

You came to me several times before,

but I didn't pay attention.

I always thought nothing

was more important than succeeding in the imperial exam.

It's not your fault.

No, it's you and Master Tu who enlightened me.

It was my fault.

I found that

reasoning in this world

also requires violence.

But I don't know if it's too late

to practice martial arts now.

Young Master, when we first met,

we all suspected that we found the wrong person.

Later, on the day in Yujing City, I found

something special inside you.

You are different from them.

You too.

Young Master.

From now on, you can regard Pure Fox Valley as your home.

You can tell your family whenever you're unhappy.

Right?

Ancient Master of the Daluo Sect,

I, Zhao Feirong, beg you to give me the Peach God Sword.

Is it necessary to use our great treasure, the Peach God Sword,

to deal with the trivial Pure Fox Clan?

Is it because the Pure Fox Clan is different now

or because you are incompetent?

That old fox from the Pure Fox Clan

found Meng Bingyun's son,

Hong Yi.

Hong's Residence forbids him from practicing martial arts,

so he is not a threat.

But I'm afraid that old fox

looked for him for something else.

I want to borrow the Peach God Sword

to deal with that old fox, for one thing,

and for another, it can help our Daluo Sect open the seal as soon as possible.

Today, I grant you the Peach God Sword.

Get the Gold Foil and break the seal as soon as possible.

Do you understand?

I will do my best

to get the Gold Foil and break the seal.

It's hard, isn't it?

I'm Xuanqi. Have some water and let's chat.

Thanks.

I have a question for you.

Did he tell you why he chose you?

He said you are the only descendant of the Taishang Division,

and the only savior.

He said you're a hero who can save everyone.

The survival of the Pure Fox Clan

depends on you.

Do you think you can believe that?

Here's a piece of advice.

If you meet someone from the Daluo Sect,

run! Remember to run faster!

If Master Tu is so sure that you are the savior,

why didn't he take you to the barrier?

There's something he hasn't told you.

But I can take you to the barrier.

See? Soon,

the whole village will become like this.

With the power of you alone,

you can't change the current situation.

I advise you not to risk your life.

No way.

This is bad.

Master Tu.

I told you to run faster.

Master Tu, the demons from Beyond Heaven are increasingly rampant.

If we don't leave now,

more and more clansmen will be hurt.

The longer we stay, the more danger there is.

Xuanqi, stop talking.

I'm not the only one who can decide the mission of the Pure Fox Clan.

Even if I die one day,

you must stick to it.

Master Tu, we don't have time.

You must reconsider the future of the Pure Fox Clan.

What do you mean by always saying this?

I'm saying this for the whole clan.

No matter how hard you try to escape, you can't change

the fact that you're a Pure Fox.

Do you think after we give up the Pure Fox Valley,

the Daluo Sect will let us go?

You...

Enough!

All right. You just count on him to save us.

It's not the time to be discouraged.

Master Tu, with my current ability,

I'm not sure.

Young Master.

Get ready.

We'll set out tomorrow morning.

Where are we going?

To get the sacred relic of the Taishang Division.

Master Tu.

You foxes are really interesting.

You came here yourself.

I did it for my clansmen.

Your clansmen?

I know what you want.

Really?

But I have a condition.

Then let's see

what you can bring me.

Do you want the Gold Sealing Foil?

The Pure Fox Clan won't hinder the Daluo Sect.

You will get what you want.

I just want my clansmen to be safe

forever.

How can you guarantee?

I will arrange a new place for you to live.

You have no choice.

You can only trust me.

I can't give it to you.

But I know where it is.

On Master Tu's crutch.

Taigu Lake is the entrance to the two worlds.

Your mother frequented this place back then.

The sacred relic is also here.

No one knows what the dangers are

in the lake.

I'm willing to try my best.

Why did Xuanqi call us here?

Master Tu isn't here. I have a bad feeling.

Everyone.

Our Pure Fox Clan has done its best to keep the promise

we've made with the Dachan Faction.

Over the past decades, we've devoted my whole clan

to guard the Pure Fox Valley.

But now that we're in danger,

you have seen how much cost we've paid.

Now you can choose.

We'll die if we stay here.

We'll survive if we leave.

We can't break our promise.

Yes, this is our home.

We'll stay here even if we die.

This is our home. We must stay here.

We can't leave.

The Pure Fox Clan is brave and intelligent.

We never fear death.

But look.

Look around you.

Many of our former friends and relatives

are there now.

We can't sit back and do nothing.

We must find a way to avoid bloodshed

and mass deaths.

What can you do?

I've found a new hidden place.

We won't be disturbed there.

It can ensure everyone's safety.

Xuanqi, how dare you instigate the clansmen

to violate the clan rules when the patriarch is out?

I'm doing this for everyone's sake.

Master Tu is too stubborn.

For his promise back then,

he would sacrifice the lives and future of our entire clan.

All these years,

our clan has done its best.

Everyone,

I hope you can leave with me.

I'll go with you.

-Me too. -Me too.

-Me too. -Let's go together.

You are rebelling!

Enough! Come on! Take her away!

I'm not leaving!

Let go of me, Xuanqi, you traitor!

I have to go immediately to Taigu Lake to inform Master Tu.

Are you here to play with me?

Who sent you here?

Which sect are you from? How old are you?

How long will you stay here? Are you married?

Madam, my name is Hong Yi.

I'm a descendant of the Taishang Division.

Taishang Division?

You look ordinary,

but you're from a great sect.

Which generation are you from?

Forget it.

Taishang Division is on the wane anyway.

Meng Shenji used to come to play with me.

Do you know Meng Shenji?

Then Meng Bingyun often came to play with me.

She stopped coming either.

Both of them abandoned me.

Madam, I'm Meng Bingyun's son.

What?

You indeed look like her.

Are you here to play with me on her behalf?

Let's go. I'll take you to a good place.

Madam, I'm here because the Pure Fox Clan asked me

to find a way to eliminate demons from Beyond Heaven.

Who? I don't know them.

But...

Besides, who are you to ask me for help?

Madam, please save the Pure Fox Clan.

I told you I don't know them.

I'll only help Meng Bingyun.

She's my mother.

You're not from the Taishang Division.

You don't even know who you are.

Let's talk after you think it through.

Young Master, are you alright? Wake up!

What's going on?

Young Master, wake up.

Is this the sacred relic of Taishang Division?

Why is it a rusting sword?

Has he taken the wrong thing?

It seems that he didn't get the approval of the sacred relic.

Young Master, wake up.

Clearly, you haven't learned your lessons in the past decades.

The one you should be concerned about

is not me but your people.

You can't see them anymore.

Ahh.

Master Tu.

No matter how deep a seed is buried,

it'll rise from the ground one day.

Ahh.

You got what you wanted.

Now, it's time to fulfill your promise to us.

Sure.

Young Master.

Young Master, this is not the time to be sad.

We have to go back now.

Pure Fox Valley is in danger.

Let's go now.

Zhao Feirong has won.

It's all over.

We can't let Master Tu die in vain.

Are you going back to Hong's Residence

and letting them push you around again?

Young Master.

Maybe this sword really can seal those demons.

We just need to take it back to Pure Fox Village.

And this book.

It's left by your mother.

There must be something special about it.

-We just need to find out how it works. -Enough.

It's just a normal book about martial arts.

I've read it hundreds of times.

Even if there is some secret in it,

Master Tu couldn't decipher it

and I don't think I can.

It's not easy to be a traitor.

Your courage is commendable.

But your strategy is not good enough.

Why didn't you kill me?

I won't kill you

or any of your people.

When envoys from Beyond Heaven arrive,

their bodies will be the best containers.

Zhao Feirong!

Maybe you got the wrong guy.

The lady in Taigu Lake said

I'm not from Taishang Division.

I can't use this sword.

Master Tu always said

that our choices decide who we are.

Master Tu wasn't mistaken about you.

I trust him and I trust you.

More importantly,

you have to trust yourself.

Sister, Young Master.

I finally found you.

Zhao Feirong has put the two halves of Gold Foil together.

Demons from Beyond Heaven have been released.

Where is Master Tu?

We're going to save people now.

But we are no match for Zhao Feirong.

I have an idea.

It turns out that what Mother left me

is the Book of Past, a guide for soul cultivation.

But time is pressing.

You can't comprehend everything in it.

I know.

But I don't need

to understand everything in this book.

I just need to learn

how to repair souls.

What's your plan?

I'm going to awaken the giant fox in the Forbidden Land.

How dare you come again?

Sir, the Pure Fox Clan needs your help.

I can't even control myself. How can I help them?

I know you've been through a lot.

I don't know what happened to you.

Neither can I imagine it, but...

You should leave now.

Kid, you actually practiced skills from the Book of Past.

Interesting.

Hahaha.

Okay. I'll help you this time.

Where did everyone go?

-Father, Mother. -Shu.

Sang.

Go! Go stop Zhao Feirong!

Hurry up!

What a pity. I came too late

and couldn't hear those foxes crying and screaming.

I bet it was heartbreaking.

Xuanqi, stop fighting!

Wake up!

Kid, let me help you.

You read the Book of Past.

Unfortunately, you're not strong enough to use it.

But I like this gift.

Give it to me.

Looks like I have to take it myself.

Binglun.

Young Master, only you can save the Pure Fox Clan.

I trust you. I trust you.

Binglun. Binglun.

Binglun.

Young Master.

You have something special inside.

I trust you.

You'll meet her soon.

Yi, you've grown up.

Mother.

Because of what happened in the past,

I knew that after I left,

you'd go through lots of hardships.

That's why I left this painting to you.

First, I want you to remember

that no matter what happens,

I'll always be by your side.

Second, when you are in danger,

it can help you make it through.

Mother, I'm out of my depth.

Yi,

your opponent is not invincible.

No matter what happens,

I'll always be here.

We'll face it together.

I'll leave my sword to you.

Yi, fight for your faith.

Trust your feelings.

Don't worry. I got him.

Yi, go.

Defeat Zhao Feirong and seal demons from Beyond Heaven.

Save the Pure Fox Clan.

That's Meng Bingyun's sword.

So you have Meng Bingyun on your side.

You know my mother?

Do you want to know how Meng Bingyun died?

You'll die the way she did.

Because both of you are from Taishang Division.

What do you mean?

The Hong family killed Meng Bingyun.

They'll kill you too.

Perhaps they're already on their way.

Who killed her?

It doesn't matter.

You can change what's destined to happen.

You're dead.

Are you really leaving?

I want to go back to Yujing City

to find out the truth about my mother's death.

You saved the whole clan.

We're willing to go with you.

Hong's Residence is dangerous.

I'll be faced with many challenges.

The Pure Fox Clan needs you.

You must stay here

and keep the peace.

Hong Yi learned the skills in the Book of Past.

He killed the Holy Maid and rebuilt the seal.

Besides,

he might have known what happened back then.

Then kill him.
