0:22:00.640,0:22:05.760 found a fountain too you haven't changed a bit oh but with me it's alcohol my cup runner's over

0:22:07.840,0:22:13.360 alcohol advice you screamed often enough about the two of them um i prefer not to speak to

0:22:13.360,0:22:18.800 speak about the past yes i know nonetheless my treasure chest holds many lovely memories mine too

0:22:19.440,0:22:23.280 of course sure but certainly not the same as mine you've grown bitter

0:22:23.280,0:22:27.440 no i've aged but it's the same thing i suppose

0:22:33.280,0:22:36.480 i read all your books i find the most amusing thank you

0:22:37.840,0:22:43.840 i'd like for you to tell me about alice you want me to talk about your wife hmm you knew her before

0:22:43.840,0:22:54.000 i did yeah but not very well want something to drink first no no how did you analyse me

0:22:54.000,0:22:59.840 it was winter time terribly cold i was waiting for my bus to go to the art shop

0:23:01.920,0:23:08.240 and almost as if we'd always known each other we started laughing over nothing

0:23:08.240,0:23:22.160 i liked her from the very beginning she was easy to like easy to be friends with

0:23:22.160,0:23:27.600 but she looked so down and out she was so alone so i brought her home here

0:23:31.920,0:23:35.840 she was staying in a hotel that she hated i asked her to stay with me

0:23:38.720,0:23:49.840 you know my tastes and their diversities

0:24:08.960,0:24:17.840 so

0:24:23.040,0:24:31.840 so

0:25:13.520,0:25:27.840 uh

0:25:33.200,0:25:41.840 uh

0:25:52.320,0:25:55.840 ah

0:26:19.840,0:26:23.840 suddenly strangely her latitude changed

0:27:00.080,0:27:06.320 uh

0:27:06.320,0:27:10.240 the following morning she seemed to have completely forgotten all that occurred the

0:27:10.240,0:27:16.240 night before nothing ever happened between us after that she stayed on for a while

0:27:17.760,0:27:22.160 but she seemed strange bizarre in any event not at all the same as when we'd met

0:27:23.600,0:27:27.520 i was struck by the difference but then occasionally she'd become herself again

0:27:28.320,0:27:47.840 all smiling beautiful like she was that night that you came to pick me up for the evening

0:27:51.280,0:28:01.840 you would come for me and you left with her

0:28:02.720,0:28:10.000 the rest you know happiness wealth glory then apparently there was nothing abnormal

0:28:10.000,0:28:12.560 no visitor she didn't go anywhere nothing special

0:28:14.560,0:28:20.080 but why all these questions if you'd explain a little i feel like i'm being no wait i do

0:28:20.080,0:28:29.840 remember something one day i took her to see a doctor a psychiatrist do you remember the address

0:28:40.720,0:28:43.840 and

0:28:56.080,0:29:02.320 down it was mighty nice of santa claus to visit us santa claus yeah and he brought

0:29:02.320,0:29:08.000 us a magnificent gift what sort of gift uh money your guest is up to his ears with it

0:29:08.560,0:29:12.240 sorry tony but you're not making sense to me there's gotta be strange things going

0:29:12.240,0:29:18.320 on between him and his pretty wife for beginners second lee's well-known so he obviously wouldn't

0:29:18.320,0:29:23.120 want anybody talking about it in the papers all right so what she has to ask great god

0:29:23.760,0:29:26.800 i must be dreaming look baby don't pull a dumb blonde act on me

0:29:29.280,0:29:35.680 something strange a well-known guy and money adam up sweetie are you saying you'd try to threaten

0:29:35.680,0:29:41.280 frederick with precisely i'm not just gonna try it baby i'm gonna do it be rich hallelujah nothing

0:29:41.280,0:29:46.720 could be easier but let's work out a few of the details first you find a way no count me out tony

0:29:46.720,0:29:52.160 i've got some bad habits i know only a blackmailer that i'm not he dropped you if i remember like a

0:29:52.160,0:29:55.840 worn-out sock that's got nothing to do with it we were only lovers on a part-time basis

0:29:58.160,0:30:04.960 okay that's the way it is then you can consider me the same tony tony wait what are you doing

0:30:04.960,0:30:08.480 i'm getting the hell out i don't want anything to do with a stupid [ __ ] like yo

0:30:08.480,0:30:14.160 don't go tony don't leave me please tony no please don't leave you're late

0:30:54.720,0:31:03.840 but what did you treat her for what were her symptoms mr oman you're bound to know about

0:31:04.800,0:31:10.080 what we call professional secrecy of course but i'm talking about my wife doctor about my wife

0:31:10.080,0:31:17.840 that surely makes a difference none at all i'm sorry my lips are sealed nothing stops you though

0:31:19.120,0:31:20.800 from asking me to speak to your wife's a patient that'd

0:31:20.800,0:31:23.200 be out of the question for the moment at any rate
