He needs a restroom

car, just behind the treeline

and the windshield's intact.

- That's right,
knock yourself out.

- Thanks, you guys, but I
don't have to use the bathroom.

- Oh, getting a little
stage fright, Dave?

Happens to everybody.

You'll be fine,

- No, it's not stage
fright, Mimi, it's...

Everything seems okay
out here for now.

- Is there something
we should know, Dave?

- I had a bad dream is all.

A really bad dream.

It felt so real.

I wonder if it was
more than just a dream,

I wonder if it
was a premonition.

- I didn't now you were
superstitious, Dave.

- Well I usually see the
first day of spring in a dream

before we hold the
big Shadow Ceremony,

but if the first day of
spring's gonna look like

what I just saw...

Should I tell the
townsfolk about this?

It could send them into a panic.

- You're about to

What exactly happened
in this dream, Dave?

- You don't wanna know.

- Why don't you explain
it to everybody on stage?

Talking things through
sometimes helps.

needlessly alarm anyone.

They come out for a good time,

to celebrate the end of winter.

Not to be scared
by my nightmares.

It's why we look up to you
and listen to what you say.

than just a dream?

(equipment whirring)

Now you all know me, you
know what I do for a living.

How'd you like this winter, huh?

I feel sorry for all
of you who aren't bears

because hibernating
was the only way to go.

Seriously though, it's
nice to see all your faces.

Especially after that
scheduling sna-foo last year

where nobody showed up.

(laughs) I thought you'd
all forgotten about me.

So welcome back and all that.

I'm honored, I love you too.

What a time to be alive, huh?

The world is as big
as it's ever been

and at the same time, as
small as it's ever been.

All our friends and loved
ones are just a push

of a button away and we can
get anything in the world

we need delivered
right to our doors

with just a call or click.

It's amazing, but you know,

there's a downside
too, a big downside.

We're more connected
than ever before

but somehow lots of us feel
lonelier than ever before.

We have more stuff to keep
us busy than we ever have

but instead of satisfying us,

it only seems to make
us crave more and more.

These are strange days indeed.

So before we get
down to my business,

I'd like to take this
opportunity to urge you all

to love one another,
listen to one another

and just remember
how lucky we are.

We're all on this
spinning rock together.

We gotta make it work.

Be happy, enjoy
the simple things,

get to know your neighbors.

Let's leave this planet better
than the way we found it.

just like I do, my shadow.

It's no biggie, what's a
little more winter, right?

We've seen the worst
of it, actually,

there's something else
I need to tell you all.

I have some bad news.

I know we all gather here
every year to have fun,

celebrate and announce
the start of spring,

but this time my shadow
is not all I've seen.

I've also seen some pretty
gnarly stuff coming our way.

- [Animal] Like a snow storm?

- [Creature] My crops
can't handle more snow.

- No, no, no, not
like a snowstorm,

it's much worse than that.
- Boo!

- [Animal] Well how can it
get worse than a snowstorm?

- [Creature] Yeah, how?

- Well...

I struggled over how
to tell you all this.

I didn't want this party
to be a bummer, but...

- [Animal] Spit it out, Dave.

- Okay, okay, fine.

I had a dream, more
like a premonition

and I saw a giant
global catastrophe

on the first day of spring.

Did everybody hear me?

- [Creature] No snowstorm now?

- Well I mean lots of bad stuff.

I'm talking rising
tides, fires, floods,

famine, earthquakes,
tsunamis, hurricanes,

tornadoes, hail storms,
crazy temperatures.

- [Animal] But
there's no snow here?

- Not here, no.

(audience cheers)
But snow somewhere,

definitely somewhere.

- [Creature] What about
frogs falling from the sky?

- [Animal] Those things
can do a lot of damage.

- Frogs, I don't know,
maybe, I can't say for sure.

- [Animal] I thought
you knew everything.

- I never said that, but
one thing is for sure.

I plan on doing absolutely
everything within my power

to protect us and to ensure
that the vision I've seen

does not come to pass on
the first day of spring.

(pleasant music)

- Hi Dave, I thought
you'd still be busy

entertaining the townsfolk,
taking pictures and whatnot.

- It was a quick ceremony
this year, Chester.

- Yeah, did you
spot your shadow?

- Yes, I did.

- Dang it, so another six
weeks of winter then, eh?

I knew I should've
traveled south this year.

I just knew it.

- Winter's the least of our
problems right now, Chester.

- Huh, what you mean by that?

- I mean I had a vision.

- A vision, you mean
you need glasses?

Hey, it happens
to the best of us,

but heck, back when I was a
youngin' I used to be able

to see all the way over them
there hills on the horizon.

Not anymore though,
(laughs) no siree.

- No, Chester, I
don't need glasses.

I need to get to the bottom
of the premonition I had.

- Oh, you mean like
solving a mystery?

- Something like that, only
the fate of the entire world

may hang in the balance.

- Ho-wee, ain't

- I don't know, it's just
something I always say.

Listen Chester, I might be
headed for some danger here.

I could use a sidekick to
make sure I don't get myself

into too much trouble.

- Great, there's
no time to waste.

- I'm not sure.

- Alrighty then, let's hit it.

- Chester?

Wait up!

(mysterious music)

- Don't believe what
that smelly groundhog

called out there today.

Who does he think he is?

- He obviously didn't
know what to do

with a crowd that big,
know what I'm sayin'?

- Oh, he knew what
to do all right,

he scared those poor
folks half to death.

They assemble like
they always do,

to see Dave's
stupid little shadow

and he terrorized them instead.

That glorified prairie
dog put this whole town

into a tizzy.

- That's whack, yo.

- It's beyond whack, Wings,
it's a declaration of war.

The good folks of this
town are scared senseless.

They won't open their doors

and if they don't
open their doors,

they won't spend money.

Our upcoming Spring Festival
might have to be canceled.

- Hold up, hold up, canceled?

ain't never canceled a gig

in his whole life,
know what I'm sayin'?

- I know what you're
saying, Wings,

but it doesn't translate
outside these walls.

Fear is stronger than you think

and fear alone can derail
even the best laid plans.

the Spring Festival's act,

it'll never be forgotten.

will we proceed as planned

with the Spring Festival, but
we'll break attendance records

with the new Lil Wings live show

and once my new weather
facility is up and running,

it'll never rain or snow again.

Unless I approve it first.

With perfect weather year round,

we'll have no need for some
dumb fortune telling gopher

and I'll push that rotten rodent
out of this town for good.

forest all her life.

an alien when I see one.

He's kind of excitable,
in case you couldn't tell.

if it's a nice way
of saying loony.

your overgrown jackalope,

it's about to get bigger.

- Last night, I had a
terrible premonition.

Did you eat tiramisu

- No, I didn't eat any tiramisu.

It was a real nightmare and
it foretell bad, bad things.

- Bad things, hm, like
the ground opening up

to swallow your half
wit friend here?

- Half wit, why I,
(mumbles) stickity stomp you

into the sticky splat
intergalactic gidget.

- Nobody's gonna
stiggity stomp anyone

into sticky splat, okay?

Especially not if the things I
saw in my sleep come to pass.

- Tell me something, Dave.

Did your vision have anything
to do with violent storms

and rising tides?

- Yes, I saw the most
terrible storm ever.

It was so vivid, it
rattled me to my core.

I woke up shaking
in a cold sweat.

- (scoffs) You didn't
tell me all of that.

(scoffs) Now I'm
kind of worried.

- Oh, I'm afraid I have a
confession to make, Dave.

- See, she is an alien.

Don't get too close,
Dave, before they attack

they always peel off their faces

and reveal their true selves.

- Chester, please,
let Lulu talk.

- Thank you, I've also sensed
a great planetary disturbance

emanating from the Earth's core.

I fear that tragedy
will soon strike.

- Really, you too?

- Give me a break, you're
not really gonna buy

this slimy fortuneteller's
shtick, are ya?

Come on, Dave.

- Can you muzzle him or...

- Lulu, is Booga Looga in?

- No, Booga Looga is gone.

- Like (scoffs) to the
grave, cabbage patch

in the sky gone?

- No, he's not dead but he has
gone underground literally.

Booga Looga also
sensed what's coming

and he burrowed
deep into the soil

to meditate and hibernate.

- When will he be back?

- Who knows, he said
he'll emerge again

when his spirit feels at
ease and his body is in tune

with the Earth's vibrations.

- What if his spirit don't ease

and his body don't get tuned?

- Then we'll have seen the
last of the great Booga Looga,

the oldest, wisest snail
our planet's ever known.

- Oh no, we can't let
Booga Looga just lose faith

and disappear, Lulu.

We have to fight
to save our world.

We will fight to save our world.

- That's very noble, Dave, I'd
expect nothing less of you.

- Watch her, Dave, they

before they strike.

(mischievous music)

did I hear someone invoke

scared the whole town
into running home

and locking their doors
and windows tight.

- You know, I thought that the
traffic was unusually light

this morning, right guys?

- This poses a multifaceted
problem to my operations, Rips.

As you know, the Spring
Festival is coming up

and now folks are too
afraid to venture outside.

- (scoffs) Wimps.

- I have a great show

and an amazing lineup
already scheduled.

- (gasps) Lil Wings, he's dope!

- Very dope but he won't
come out and perform

to an empty town square.

Wings has a fine
print contract clause

wherein he only performs
for packed venues.

If he doesn't like the turnout,
he doesn't have to go on

and he won't.

I've already paid Lil
Wings' appearance fee

and Lil Wings has a
hefty appearance fee.

If the tickets don't sell,
I'm out a lot of money

and after the stunt Dave
pulled this morning,

nobody's buying any tickets.

you want us to go door to
door, force every household

to buy their ticket?

Guys, get the baseball bats.

- Wait a minute, wait a minute!

That's a tempting idea, Rips,
but let's hold off on that.

Anybody's dumb enough to refuse,

It'll be way cheaper

could get the opposite reaction

and only frighten them more.

If we can guarantee

if what I saw comes true,
