It's been well over two years since our last adventure.

And I've gotta say, we missed you.

But after a very long break,

it's time to get back out there, and show you this country

like you've never seen it before.

I'm excited to say that Canada's favourite

summertime adventure is back.

Here, in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains,

just 130 kilometres north of Montreal,

is the four-season outdoor playground known as...

Tremblant.

Right now, 10 teams of 2 are making their way

to the starting line...

for a once in a lifetime cross Canada adventure.

This is one of the most competitive group of racers

in the history of the race.

They're world renowned performers,

community leaders, and music sensations.

Oh, hey, Canada.

I'm Jully Black. I'm Kathy.

From Toronto, Ontario.

We are sisters from another mister.

Jully is named one of the top 25 singers in Canada.

She is Canada's queen of R&B.

Seeing her live is unbelievable.

We are a dating couple from Whistler, BC.

I'm Court. And I am Ali.

We are also known as the Bird and the Bear.

I tend to always be rummaging around outside.

I snowboard, I ski, I bike, I hike, I run.

My traditional name is Siginaak,

which means blackbird in my Anishinaabe culture.

I have a non-profit that offers unstructured sports

to Indigenous youth all across Canada.

It's very inspiring to see him working with these kids.

We've been a couple, just under a year now.

right relationship than going on The Amazing Race Canada.

We are Brendan and Connor McDougall,

from McDougall, Ontario.

We are literally the McDougall's from McDougall.

Our dad's the mayor. Yeah!

we're putting the boat in right away.

We're going wake skating, wake surfing, wakeboarding.

Our backyard's a playground.

Connor's my younger brother.

You mess with Connor, you're messing with the big dog.

I might only be 5' 6" and three-quarters,

but I've got a whole lot of punch.

My name's Durrell, and this is my uncle Dennis.

We're the first uncle-nephew team.

From Halifax, Nova Scotia.

We're always out to help people.

And that's really just a Nova Scotian thing that

we carry with us.

I help organize a community surf program for

Indigenous and Black youth.

My goal in life is to give everything that I have and

pour it back into my community.

He's become an inspiration to his Uncle Den.

I love this guy. Geez, ha-ha.

We're Jesse and Marika. We were born in Yellowknife,

and we live now in Canmore, Alberta.

We are Inuit.

I'm the baby of the family,

so I'm a little bit more spoiled.

Way more spoiled, yeah. I lived with all

the rules so Marika could break the rules.

Yeah.

I was a cross-country skier

racing on Canada's national team.

2014 and 2018.

I'm an actress.

Currently studying martial arts for film and TV.

I'm also a hoop dancer.

Together, we're gonna be unstoppable.

I'm Catherine, and this is Craig.

And we're... performers!

We met at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School,

over 20 years ago.

And we've been besties ever since.

We had a determination that

we were gonna get to Broadway.

And we did it. And we did it.

It's a lot of work to be a performer.

It's blood, sweat, and tears.

In 2013, Catherine was complaining

about having headaches.

They did a CT scan and found a lump that was

bigger than my fist, in my brain.

Catherine has...

terminal brain cancer.

I was given 2 to 6 years to live.

I didn't know if I was going to make it.

I did, and we're here, going on my 9th year,

so I always say I'm past my expiration date.

Even with terminal brain cancer,

Catherine has more mental brain capability than I do,

and that will become apparent.

No! It's true!

Two buses will arrive 15 minutes apart from

one another, here in the heart of Old Montreal,

on the traditional territory of the Mohawk,

where teams will find their next clue.

He was no ordinary man.

He was a god.

Racers must now search the streets of Old Montreal for

two human billboards...

featuring the poster from Marvel Studios'...

Love and Thunder.

They'll receive their next clue and a piece of the

mighty Thor's iconic hammer, Mjolnir.

Teams will need to collect all the pieces of this iconic

and powerful weapon from the Marvel cinematic universe...

to complete the final challenge of

this leg of the race.

one racer must bravely climb to the top...

of La Grande Roue De Montreal.

One racer from each team will need to climb one of these

two steep parallel staircases,

and then continue their windy ascent up one of two separate

steep ladders that are mounted to the spokes

on the giant wheel.

Once they reach the top, they'll find the best view

in the city, and their next clue.

With over 5000 restaurants...

and the largest jazz festival in the world,

Montreal lights up after dark.

In Jazz, teams must make their way to Upstairs Jazz,

a Montreal musical hotspot.

Here, they will listen to a recording by

Juno Award winning artist, Ranee Lee.

After they memorize the lyrics,

they must perform the song, and must include

the vocal improvisations known as scat.

...all in perfect unison with the music.

Pizzazz requires teams to make their way to the

Wiggle Room, a cozy burlesque club located on

the world famous Boulevard Saint-Laurent.

First, teams will choose one of these burlesque

instructors, who will teach them the tricks of this

elevated sultry dance that celebrates self-expression

and body positivity.

When they're ready to fluff their feathers,

they'll be judged on their overall performance,

including the removal of their clothing items,

in the correct order.

Once they've proven they're best in burlesque,

the legendary Frenchie Jones

will give them their next clue.
