It's true -- I did add some pretty racy new ingredients to

the lemon bars today.

[ Chuckles ] >> Charlie: Heh.

Well, you see, I -- I've been encouraging Pammy to get, um,

more experimental.

>> Quinn: [ Groans ] >> Charlie: In the kitchen,

I mean.

>> Quinn: N-not exactly why Brooke asked to gather us

together.

>> Brooke: No. Uh... [ Sighs ] Well, today I discovered

that, um...

I have a new niece.

[ Giggles ] >> Ridge: What do you --

What do you mean?

>> Pam: Donna's sure been keeping that little

bun-in-the-oven a secret, hasn't she?

[ Charlie snorts ] >> Brooke: She's not Donna's.

She is...my brother's.

Storm's daughter.

>> Liam: Hey.

>> Hope: Hey!

I didn't mean for you to rush home from work early.

>> Liam: It's not that early.

Besides, your message said you had exciting news, which is

my favorite kind of news.

>> Hope: I do.

But it's also a little crazy.

It's about Phoebe's birth mother.

>> Liam: Do you think maybe we should find something new

to call Flo?

I don't think it's really fair to keep reminding her of what

she gave up?

>> Hope: How about "Cousin Flo"?

>> Shauna: My sweet, sweet daughter is responsible for -- I

don't even know what to call it!

And that devastated girl, your cousin --

>> Flo: Hope.

>> Shauna: You stole her baby.

>> Flo: No. Well, I -- I didn't know.

>> Shauna: Until when?

>> Flo: Well...

I didn't know, and then -- and then I did know, and...

[ Sighs ] [ Voice breaking ] Mom, I-I --

I don't know what to do.

existed until today.

continue telling you.

>> Ridge: Do I know her?

So there's some kind of Logan-family resemblance?

Like, does she think she can cook?

[ Laughs ] >> Eric: Your brother never said

anything about having a daughter.

>> Brooke: No, he never knew.

>> Eric: Well, then, how would we be aware of who she is?

>> Brooke: She's already connected to the family.

We just didn't know how connected.

>> Hope: Isn't it incredible?

>> Liam: Uh...

Yeah. I just...

Like, you're sure this information is accurate?

>> Hope: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt talked Flo into doing one of those tests that

analyze your DNA.

So...

>> Liam: Whoa!

>> Hope: [ Chuckles ] >> Liam: Like...

Oh, my God. Flo is your cousin.

That's -- that's insane.

>> Hope: It's incredible.

And I-I knew it from the first moment I met Phoebe.

I felt drawn to her, almost as if we had the same blood running

in our veins, and it turns out we do.

>> Flo: I thought that -- I thought that the damage was

done, and all I had to do was just [Inhales deeply] try to

wait and forget about it.

>> Shauna: I don't believe I raised a daughter that can

forget something like this.

>> Flo: I know.

I know. And now I -- I can't just walk away.

Hope and I are blood.

>> Shauna: Your cousin thinks her baby's dead.

>> Flo: And every day, it feels a little bit more like my life

is the one that's over.

>> Hope: Mm.

You've had a long day.

>> Liam: Not as long as yours.

>> Hope: [ Sighs ] I haven't even begun to think

about dinner yet.

>> Liam: Come, sit with me.

>> Hope: [ Chuckles ] >> Liam: I, um...

You know, I never knew your uncle.

What was Storm like?

>> Hope: Um...

Well, he was kind. Loving.

Very protective of his family.

But I can't say I knew him that well.

You know, I was so young, and he's been gone

for a long time.

I just...

I've heard so many stories about him.

>> Liam: Well, if he really is Phoebe's grandfather, I mean,

there are gonna be questions we're gonna have about him --

like his health, both physically and mentally.

And, like, did he have a will?

We don't know.

>> Hope: Well, I don't think he knew about Flo.

>> Liam: Is that what Flo's mom says?

>> Hope: Well, her mother, Shauna, didn't even know

who the father was until the DNA test results came in.

[ Sighs ] I don't know.

Their relationship is interesting.

Flo didn't know about her father, and Shauna didn't even

know that Flo had given birth to a child.

>> Liam: You sa-- you said they both lived in Vegas, though.

>> Hope: Yeah, but they must not see that much of each other.

>> Liam: Yeah, well...

I mean, not all parent/child relationships are close.

As you and I both know.

>> Shauna: What exactly was the deal with this so-called friend

of yours, Reese?

>> Flo: What do you mean?

>> Shauna: You don't just walk away from your job, pretend to

be some newborn's mom for some random guy.

I just don't understand how you even got involved

in any of this.

>> Flo: How was I supposed to know it would end up like this?

>> Shauna: Well, you should have asked more questions.

>> Flo: I know, Mom.

I-I know. I know. I know.

But Re-Reese is a doctor.

I didn't think -- >> Shauna: Hope was a

patient of his?

>> Flo: No, but -- Well, ye-- Yes. But o-only for the night.

The night that Beth was born.

>> Shauna: Who's Beth?

>> Flo: That's the name of Hope's baby.

>> Shauna: And that's not her name now?

>> Flo: No.

>> Shauna: What kept Hope from taking her baby home?

>> Flo: She, um...

She passed out during childbirth, and when she

woke up, she was told that her baby didn't make it.

>> Shauna: So she just took this man's word for it?

>> Flo: No.

Reese, um...

Reese gave her the baby, put it in her arms, and it was dead.

He, um...

He took another patient's baby.

It was a stillborn baby.

And he put it in Hope's arms.

>> Flo: He switched them?

>> Flo: Mom, you have to believe me -- I didn't know any of this

when I agreed to help.

It wasn't until he handed me these official-looking documents

that I could tell were clearly bogus that I slammed on the

brakes.

He told me that he had this -- this huge gambling debt that he

had to pay off, and that his daughter's life was on the line,

and that he needed the money from this adoption that

he was setting up to help pay it all off, and...

By the time I knew the truth, I felt like just as much of a

fraud as he was, and...

Mom, I -- I didn't think I was ever gonna meet the real

birth mother, let alone be a part of her family.

>> Eric: This is really amazing.

I mean, usually we have nine months' notice before a new

family member turns up.

What's the etiquette here?

Do we welcome her into the family, or do we wait to see how

involved they want to be?

Wha....?

>> Quinn: Well, Flo is like a daughter to me.

We used to be really close.

So I could try to get a reading on her.

>> Brooke: I can't imagine there will be a problem.

She already struck up a friendship with Hope.

And they're two mothers who have lost their children, so that

will only bring them closer.

>> Ridge: Has anyone said anything to Steffy or to Taylor?

>> Brooke: No.

>> Ridge: Good.

Maybe we should try and keep it that way for now.

If Steffy finds out that her baby's birth mother is now part

of the family, we don't know how she's gonna react.

>> Hope: Have you talked to Steffy?

>> Liam: Mm-hmm.

And the girls. Earlier today.

I think they're all asleep now.

I mean -- no.

Steffy and her mom and Amelia are probably trying to sleep.

[ Chuckles ] I don't -- I don't know if the girls

are cooperating, but, uh...

>> Hope: Will you tell Steffy about this?

Flo being my cousin?

>> Liam: I got to think about that.

I -- It might be a little weird for

Steffy, being so far away and isolated, you know?

>> Hope: Yeah.

[ Sighs ] I miss them.

I've been thinking about Phoebe all day.

>> Liam: Heh.

Well, I mean, it makes sense.

You spent a good chunk of the day with her birth mother.

>> Hope: Yeah, that's true.

I just -- I don't know.

>> Hope: [ Sighs ] I...can't get over the fact that

Phoebe, that miraculous little baby, was brought into this

world by a Logan.

>> Shauna: So, right now, Reese is --

>> Flo: He's gone.

He's out of the country.

I-I don't think he's gonna be back.

>> Shauna: Good.

And nobody else knows about this?

>> Flo: Well, I mean, there's -- There is one other person

who knows about it.

It's, um...

Reese's daughter, Zoe.

She figured out enough on her own that he just had to tell her

all the rest of it.

>> Shauna: Well, is she any more trustworthy than her father?

>> Flo: She's not gonna say anything.

She doesn't want me to, either.

She doesn't want her dad to go to jail.

>> Shauna: Now, what about the -- the mom who adopted

the baby?

Who is she?

Why does Hope call her part of the family?

>> Flo: [ Sighs ] Okay, so, you know Quinn's

husband, Eric Forrester?

It's his granddaughter, Steffy.

>> Shauna: Oh, my God.

>> Flo: I know. I know. So...

From what I've heard, Hope and Steffy have been in

love with the same man for years -- and it's Wyatt's

brother, Liam.

He has a baby with Steffy, but they split up right before she

was born, and then he married Hope, and then they were

expecting their daughter together, Beth.

>> Shauna: Steffy's raising Hope's baby?

>> Flo: Yeah.

And I can't let it go on any more, Mom.

Every day that I say nothing, the bond between Steffy and that

baby grows stronger.

And every day that I don't say anything, Hope keeps blaming

herself for the death of her child, and I-I -- I can't --

I can't let it happen anymore.

I-I -- I have to tell them.

>> Ridge: It's a big day for the Logan family.

>> Brooke: I still can't believe this.

>> Ridge: You okay?

Something I said?

>> Brooke: No, I -- I'm just --

I'm just being silly.

[ Sighs ] >> Ridge: I like when

>> Brooke: [ Chuckles ] It's just...

I feel like I have my brother back.

And I know that I don't, but...

to know that his daughter is in my life, our lives, and that she

found her way to us, I mean, that's incredible.

>> Ridge: It is incredible.

Think about it -- she was all alone, and now she's got the

fierce Logan sisters behind her.

>> Brooke: Ohh.

So you think I'm fierce?

>> Ridge: Oh, yeah.

I think you're fierce.

Mmm!

>> Brooke: Yeah?

>> Ridge: And I'm gonna prove it.

You know what I'm going to do?

>> Brooke: What?

>> Ridge: I'm gonna call a budget meeting.

You're gonna be there.

And you're gonna put the fear of God into everybody.

[ Clicks tongue ] >> Brooke: Oh.

>> Ridge: What?

>> Brooke: No, I just thought...

when you said fierce, I just thought that you meant...

>> Ridge: I did.

I did mean that. I -- If that didn't -- ki--

I didn't -- >> Brooke: Yeah? [ Squeals ]

>> Ridge: [ Groans ] >> Brooke: Fierce?

>> Ridge: Uh-huh.

>> Brooke: That's fierce.

>> Ridge: Oh, yeah.

>> Liam: Why don't we order in dinner?

>> Hope: Well, we're not short on food.

>> Liam: Yeah.

That's true.

I mean, we could just stay here and be lazy and quiet and

take our time.

>> Hope: And you are not exactly the easiest to order for at

restaurants.

>> Liam: [ Chuckles ] Yeah, well, this might be

one of those times I'm not the best vegan.

>> Hope: Ooh. Fun fact -- Flo is a vegan.

>> Liam: Get out.

>> Hope: Mm-hmm. Yeah.

She's a Las Vegan.

>> Liam: Oh -- Pbht!

Ha, ha, ha.

>> Hope: Ohh, no.

Someone's getting her sense of humor back.

>> Liam: [ Chuckles ] Oh, no.

>> Hope: [ Laughs ] >> Liam: Mmph.

I miss that.

Your smile and your laugh.

It's kind of an exciting time, right?

I mean...

new family member and your sense of humor all in one.

>> Hope: [ Chuckles ] >> Liam: Listen, I-I --

obviously I miss Kelly and Phoebe so much, but

I'm trying to look at this as an opportunity to focus on you.

You're just -- You're too good of a person.

You have too much to offer the world not to be

at peace right now.

A-and I -- I want to help you through this difficult time as

best I can, 'cause that -- That's the point, right?

I mean, better or worse, good days and bad.

Well, I'm -- I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere, and...

I want us to move forward together.

all those things and more.

I found out who my father is.

And he seems like he was such -- such an amazing man.

He gave up his own life for his sister, for his family.

I should do the same thing.

I'm a Logan.

Hope is my cousin, and...

I need to tell her the truth.

I mean, this is my family now, Mom.

I mean, and -- and I'm keeping this -- this huge,

life-changing secret from them.

I can't be part of that family unless I do the right thing

and I tell them all the truth.

>> Shauna: I'm worried about you.

You could go to prison.

>> Flo: Mom, I...

I can't sleep. I mean, I-I -- I can barely even close my eyes

without thinking about that baby and hearing it cry.

I can't -- I can't.

I can't do this anymore.

>> Shauna: I can see that, honey.

You know, maybe...

They seem like such good people.

And maybe if they know what happened, and that you were

duped, too, they'll have some compassion.

But I agree with you.

You can't keep going on like this.

I see the toll it's taking on you.

You know what you have to do, honey.

>> Flo: I'll go over there, and I will -- I'll ask to speak

to Hope alone.

I won't leave out a single detail.

I'll tell her everything.

She thinks that her baby died because of her, but I'll tell

her that's not true.

That her husband's been watching over Beth without even knowing

it.

I'll beg her to realize how sorry, how terribly sorry I am.

And -- and I know that she'll be shocked at first.

She'll -- she'll still blame me, but it won't be right away.

Because the truth will take away all her guilt and sadness and

she'll feel such pure joy.

A joy she never could even imagine.

And -- and I'll keep repeating over and over until she believes

it enough to say it herself.

That Phoebe is Beth.

Her baby isn't dead.

She's alive.

Beth is alive.

>> Hope: Beth is alive?!

[ Sobs ] She's alive?

>> Flo: I won't have my life back, wh-whatever that turns out

to be, until she has Beth back.
