[Episode 21]

The wedding is canceled?

Jun Qi Luo jumped off the cliff and died?

Deputy Luo sent a message earlier,

saying that the Wolf Lord chased Miss Jun all the way to Desperation Cliff.

He watched helplessly as Miss Jun jumped into the abyss.

The Wolf Lord planned to jump too, but He Ji Yao knocked him out just in time.

He is now resting in his mansion.

Jun Qi Luo...

She did go to die.

I issue a royal edict.

Postpone the wedding of the Wolf Lord and the Princess, and choose a new date.

Yes.

Physician, why hasn't he woken up yet?

Don't worry, Deputy.

The Wolf Lord fainted from being overwhelmed and exhausted.

He just needs a few hours of rest to recover.

What happened?

Didn't the General go to see Qi Luo?

Where is she?

Miss Jun jumped off Desperation Cliff.

What did you say?

How could that be?

Today was supposed to be her wedding.

Young Master hadn't had the chance to tell Miss Jun his plan, and Miss Jun...

It's all my fault.

I should have told Qi Luo earlier.

Princess, you've been waiting for a whole night.

Go back and have some rest.

We'll look after him.

Princess, let's go.

He Ji Yao, there was a fire at Meixiang Manor.

Miss Jun was such a smart lady.

Could it be something she planned?

Did anyone suspicious show up at the mansion today?

Could it be her?

Stay with Young Master.

I didn't expect Lie to be so obsessed with that Yannan merchant woman.

Now that she chose to jump off the cliff,

I suppose Lie won't easily agree to marry the Princess.

If he strongly refuses, King, you should plan ahead.

He's the Wolf Lord of Beixuan,

so he should understand how vital his marriage is to Beixuan.

I can't believe he left everyone behind on his wedding day to seek Jun Qi Luo.

Your Majesty, Princess insists on going to see the Wolf Lord.

Please go check on her.

[Qinghua Palace]

- No, Princess. - You can't go out, Princess.

The King and the Queen Mother are here!

[Qinghua Palace]

Greetings, Your Majesty. Greetings, Queen Mother.

What are you doing?

Qing Kou, where are you going?

Mother, I'm going to see Lie.

It's too late.

Lie should be resting by now.

Can you wait until tomorrow?

But you promised me to help me find Qing Ming.

Now there's no news of him at all.

I should have known you wouldn't help me.

The only one who wouldn't lie to me is Lie.

He's just a slave.

If you want one, I will...

He's not a slave.

He's the one I like.

Nonsense!

You're the Princess of Beixuan.

How can you like a Yannan slave?

Just stay here. Don't go anywhere.

Qing Kou...

- Qing Kou! - Don't!

If you don't help me, I'll do it myself.

If you won't let me out, I'll die right here!

Enough!

When are you going to stop doing this?

Lie has lost his mind over a Yannan woman.

And now, you want to lose your mind over a Yannan slave?

Jun Qi Luo is dead.

Qing Ming will never come back!

He probably has already returned to Yannan.

Even if you die here today, he won't come back!

What did you say?

Jun Qi Luo is dead?

Pull yourself together.

You and that Yannan slave are never meant to be together.

Stay in your palace and don't go anywhere.

Otherwise, I'll hunt that Yannan slave down to the ends of the earth and kill him.

Jun Qi Luo is dead.

Qing Ming will never come back.

Qing Ming will never come back...

What kind of spell did that Yannan slave cast on her to make her so obsessed?

Listen up.

Increase the guards around Qinghua Palace.

Don't let the Princess leave.

If anything goes wrong, you'll be punished.

[Xuan Mansion]

[Double Happiness]

Qi Luo...

Qi Luo...

Qi Luo!

Young Master.

Where is Qi Luo?

I've sent people to Desperation Cliff to seek her.

The cliff is so steep, and there's no path down.

He Ji Yao has led soldiers to find the one who let her escape.

- She's... - I'll go find her!

Young Master! [Double Happiness]

Young Master, the Xuanyu Army is looking for her.

Young Master!

Miss Jun is dead!

Young Master...

Qi Luo,

I've pushed you into this.

I thought I could control everything.

Qi Luo, please come back.

♫ I gaze at my reflection and get lost in thought ♫

Qi Luo...

Qi Luo...

Qi Luo, please come back.

Qi Luo!

Qi Luo, come back!

Qi Luo!

♫ Did you love me, even for just a moment ♫

♫ When the dream ends, stars vanish, and silence falls ♫

♫ Just let fate fade into the abyss. What else is there to fear ♫

♫ Our love is like thorns in my hand and sand in my eyes ♫

♫ I only wish you'd feel the pain of my scar ♫

♫ As the veil lifts, our love comes to an end ♫

I, Xuan Lie, swear, with heaven and earth as witnesses,

that Jun Qi Luo will be the only wife I have in this life.

If I break my vow, I'll suffer eternal damnation.

♫ Our love, like a moon in the mirror, a flower in the water ♫

♫ Did you love me, even for just a moment ♫

♫ When the dream ends, stars vanish, and silence falls ♫

♫ Just let fate fade into the abyss. What else is there to fear ♫

♫ Our love is like thorns in my hand and sand in my eyes ♫

♫ I only wish you'd feel the pain of my scar ♫

♫ As the veil lifts ♫

I know you like red beans.

This longing jade necklace is made from

Beixuan's finest black jade and Yannan red beans.

It suits you perfectly.

Where did you find these Yannan red beans?

In Central Town, there's nothing I can't get.

[Whispers of Fragrance and Shadows]

Dong Yin?

Young Master, I found the person who let Miss Jun go.

Yesterday, Dong Yin went to Meixiang Manor.

I suspect she set the fire and let Miss Jun go.

So I sent people to search the entire city overnight

and finally found her at the gate of the Royal City.

Did you plan it with Qi Luo?

My patience is limited.

Are you going to confess, or do you need some torture?

Yes, it was me who let her go.

She's shown me great kindness.

She wanted to leave Beixuan and you, and I'd like to help her.

You can kill me or do whatever you want.

So, this was all planned, wasn't it?

She planned to jump off the cliff, right?

She's still alive.

Where did you take her?

Where is she?

What do you mean, General?

Did she jump off the cliff?

Isn't this part of your plan?

You know something, right?

Can you tell me?

Please tell me.

Tell me!

After I took her to the city gate, we got separated.

I thought she just wanted to leave Xuan Mansion and you.

If I'd known she was going to jump, I wouldn't have let her go.

I really wouldn't have let her go.

By the way, General. Before she left, she gave me a letter.

I was going to put it in your room once she was safe.

Release Dong Yin and cancel her arrest order.

Let's part ways here and never see each other again.

Jun Qi Luo, you're so cruel.

You gave Dong Yin a chance to live but left me with nothing, just separation

and no hope of meeting again.

Let Dong Yin go, or how will I face her on the road to the underworld?

Dong Yin, please go.

Young Master, Princess Zhao Min came here this morning.

She said Miss Jun treated her like a sister.

Even if Miss Jun is dead, she'll never agree to the marriage.

She went to the King to annul it, and asked you to go to the Palace.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Why aren't you staying at your manor?

What are you doing here?

Your Majesty, General and I haven't had the wedding ceremony.

Does this marriage still count?

Can't you understand my decree?

I said you'd get married on another date.

Your Majesty, you mismatched us from the start.

General and I didn't marry as scheduled, which shows he had no intention of it.

So why do you keep...

- keep insisting on it? - Are you questioning me?

No, Your Majesty.

Just follow my orders.

As for Lie, I will persuade him myself.

The Wolf Lord is here!

Greetings, King.

How dare you come here?

On your wedding day, you ran off and left the bride behind.

Do you know how long all the guests waited for you?

The royal family has lost face because of you.

Now, I'd like to hear your reasons.

Whatever you say, King.

But I can't marry Zhao Min.

Are you really determined to defy me for the sake of a Yannan woman?

I came here today knowing I wouldn't leave unscathed.

Do you know the responsibility your identity carries to Beixuan?

Are you going to throw all of that away just for a woman?

More importantly, she is dead!

As long as I remember her, she isn't truly dead.

I've never opposed your decree, but this time, I won't back down.

I beg you to grant my request.

That's because Jun Qi Luo was stubborn.

If she had agreed to serve Beixuan, she wouldn't have met such a tragic fate.

King, may I ask you, Jun Qi Luo, a native of Yannan, swore loyalty to Yannan with her death.

What's wrong with that?

If I were captured today, with no way out,

I would also do the same way to prove my loyalty to Beixuan.

- You... - Your Majesty,

there's no affection between General and I

and yesterday, I saw how deeply General loves Qi Luo.

Moreover, Qi Luo has done Liangzhou a great favor.

How could I repay her kindness with betrayal, taking away her lover?

Now, everyone in Beixuan knows that General Lie deeply loves Qi Luo.

If I marry him anyway, I would become a laughingstock for life.

Your Majesty, I have my pride.

I cannot marry a man whom my friend loves.

Please grant me this wish.

In this life, I have only one wife, and that is Jun Qi Luo.

Please grant me this wish.

King, I understand your concerns,

but Mr. Sun had groomed Princess Zhao Min to be the next Sun Leader.

Though she's a woman, she has extraordinary courage.

She will carry on Mr. Sun's legacy, protect the Sun Clan, and remain loyal to Beixuan.

General is right.

I understand why you want me to marry General, but I will prove my worth to you, Your Majesty.

Today, I swear in my late father's name to be loyal to Beixuan and to you.

I'll give you the Sun Clan Seal as a sign of my determination.

[Whispers of Fragrance and Shadows]

Since Miss Jun left, he's gone nowhere and only stayed at Meixiang Manor.

He hasn't eaten in days and hasn't dealt with clan matters.

Bandits are rampant in Uncontrollable, and have already crossed Beixuan's border.

The locals are suffering.

I don't know how to report this to the Young Master.

[Gaze up to the Mountain's Brow]

Young Master, time for lunch.

Young Master, I'm coming in now.

Young Master, please don't do anything foolish.

He Ji Yao!

[Tiger Stockade]

Luo Qi, report to the King for me.

As the Wolf Lord, I'll do my best to protect the people at borders.

How can he fight with such severe injuries?

Is he out of his mind?

♫ I still keep looking back ♫

♫ The sleepless universe accompanies me as I sleepwalk ♫

♫ How can we stay together in a mirage ♫

♫ A vast desert, with no oasis in sight ♫

♫ Time takes away the eternity I promised ♫

♫ Who can have your gentleness ♫

♫ Who still stays there ♫

♫ Finally, I silently endure but cannot be saved ♫

♫ The sorrow of the world is carried away by the wind ♫

♫ My love turns into a small boat ♫

♫ Drifting in your eyes with endless longing ♫

♫ Passing through every night and day ♫

♫ The sorrow of the world turns into stars ♫

♫ Flowing over a few hills with the moonlight ♫

Qi Luo, I'm coming to you now.

♫ I will silently wait ♫

Physician, how is she?

She is fine.

Luckily, when she fell into the sea,

your ship arrived just in time to save her and the child she's carrying.

What did you say?

She is pregnant?

Of course. She's been pregnant for over a month.

Just a few more days of rest, and she'll be fine.

I'll take my leave now.

This way, please.

Young Master, you're awake.

Want some porridge?

Young Master, feel better now?

Why do you call me Young Master?

I've done this for over ten years.

In Beixuan, I had to call you My Lady.

Time to revert to the old way.

As long as we get back to Yannan, everything will be back on track.

A few months ago, Jun Fei Fan died in the Uncontrollable.

Now, in front of you is Jun Qi Luo, the eldest daughter of the Jun family.

From now on, you should address me as My Lady.

No!

You risked your life to save time by taking the water route back to Yannan.

Wasn't it all to get things back on track?

We're already on our way back to Yannan.

How can you appear as a woman?

Is it because...

Because that man got you pregnant?

No.

From the moment I decided to return to Yannan, I chose not to be Jun Fei Fan anymore.

What Jun Fei Fan could do, Jun Qi Luo can do just as well.

What the Jun family lost, I will reclaim step by step as Jun Qi Luo.

But what about the child you're carrying?

The King and the Juns won't accept it.

And Jun Yu Jue still controls the Jun family assets.

If you return as a woman, how will you compete with him?

The Jun family's first branch has lost control of the family.

Even if I return as Jun Fei Fan, it wouldn't make any difference.

But the child is innocent.

I don't want my child to be born with hatred.

Qi Min.

Please help me keep this secret.

Don't let anyone know who the child's father is.

This is something I have to deal with myself.

When I was in Xuan Mansion,

I learned the King suspected me and confiscated my family's assets.

But looking back, it doesn't make sense for him to make such an absurd decision.

The King is paranoid.

He wouldn't act without confirmation.

If the Jun assets had been confiscated, it would mean my treason charge had be confirmed,

and an arrest order would have been issued in all three cities.

But up until now, there's been no move to capture me.

So, I think the King still needs Baigong's heir.

Maybe he leaked the news to lure me back to Yannan quickly.

Black iron crystals have been transported to Yannan.

When we get to Yannan, everything will be fine.

[Jun Mansion]

I'll go see the King first.

You go to the back gate for the black iron crystals

and send a message to Uncle Ling, asking him to come back.

Yes.

I will restore the former glory of the Jun family.

You're finally back.

I'm from Yannan, so naturally, I'm back home now.

Did you find the black iron crystals?

I've transported them to Yannan.

I heard you're helping the Xuan Clan in Beixuan compete for the Wolf Lord's position.

Is that true?

Yes, I admit it.

Because the black iron crystals were found in the Xuan territory

and then transferred to the Xi Clan.

I infiltrated both the Xuan and Xi clans, pretending to help them get the position,

but in fact, I was just after the mine.

Your Majesty, I have no intention of betraying Yannan.

I hope you understand.

Now, the Wolf Lord of Beixuan has taken office.

Time is not on your side.

Yes, I will do my utmost to protect Yannan.

Get up.

Are you going to present yourself as a woman again?

Whether I'm Jun Fei Fan or Jun Qi Luo,

as long as I can make weapons for Yannan, it's the same to you, Your Majesty.

However, because I didn't return on time, my family was executed for treason.

It's all my fault.

This time, I'd risk my life to return to Yannan.

One reason is to prove my loyalty to Yannan,

and the other is to settle my family's funeral matters.

Please grant me this.

This method of forcing you to come back worked, just as I expected.

Your Majesty, what do you mean?

Jun Qi Luo, you should know that if you stay in Beixuan,

it will be a huge threat to Yannan.

You hold value for us in Yannan, and I wish to avoid any rift with you.

Actually, I never truly executed the Jun family members.

It was just a smokescreen.

Just as I expected.

I know your family means everything to you.

Consider this your ultimatum.

If you still refuse to come back,

I'm afraid your family will have to pay for your recklessness.

Luckily, you came to your senses in time.

Once you've improved the crossbow with black iron crystal,

I'll immediately release your family.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

I will do my best.

- Fei Fan. - Fei Fan.

Xiu Kun. Jiang Juan.

Father. Father. Father!

- Qi Luo... - Your legs...

Qi Luo, you're back.

I'm fine.

Don't worry about me.

Father, it's my fault.

It's all my fault.

The King didn't give you a hard time, did he?

No.

Fei Fan, when did you come back?

They said you betrayed Yannan.

I will never believe that.

Yes, Fei Fan.

What exactly happened during this time?

Did you have a tough time?

Why are you dressed in women's clothes?

Don't worry.

I'll get you out as soon as I can.

Master! Young Master!

- Master! - Look at him.

Teach him a lesson.

- Jun... Jun... - What is it?

Get your breath back. Don't rush.

You know what? You didn't succeed for a reason.

The main gate of the first branch is open.

Someone saw Shao Qi Min, Jun Fei Fan's guard, coming back with a girl.

A girl?

Shao Qi Min is back with a girl?

Yes.

Could it be that Jun Fei Fan...

Father, calm down, remember?

There's no Jun Fei Fan in the world.

Is she human or a ghost?

I can tell at a glance.

Yu Jue, don't go by yourself!

Who is back home?

Well...

Isn't you, Jun Qi Luo, Miss Jun, always in Qian City?

Have you recovered, back to being a woman?

Shao Qi Min, listen up.

If you were a real man, put down your sword!

How dare you!

Yu Jue, you have my back.

A man?

I'm a real man.

You investigated me?

Looks like you two not only want to take the first branch's property,

but also schemed to overthrow Jun Fei Fan, and end my life.

Don't slander me here.

Your identity has been exposed. Go find your nanny.

What do you want with us?

Jun Yu Jue, I'm really worried about you.

It's one thing to lose a man before,

but if you can't even beat a woman, how will you survive in the Royal Capital?

That's rude.

Qi Luo, now you've come back, determined to replace Jun Fei Fan

and go against the Jun family's ancestral rules?

Uncle, let me give you some advice.

You're getting on in years.

Stop covering for your son

- and following him to mess around. - You...

If you ruin your reputation at your age, how will you face the spirits of the Jun ancestors?

Do you still think you're Jun Fei Fan?

A woman running the family business?

That's never been heard of before.

And never been seen.

So, are you planning to use your glib tongue to etch your name into the Jun's hall of shame?

- And you've deceived us for so many years. - Exactly.

You should've faced retribution by now.

Exactly!

I'll face my own retribution I deserve.

But Uncle, Jun Yu Jue, don't forget,

I'll make you pay for how you bullied my father and took my shop.

Qi Min, don't let them back into the mansion.

- What? - Qi Min!

- How dare you! - Don't touch me!

Are you showing off here?

Chancellor, what can I do for you?

Do you know why Jun Yu Jue came here?

I don't know.

He said he saw Jun Qi Luo return to the Jun Mansion today with her guard!

That's impossible!

How could the King of Beixuan have let her return?

Shouldn't I be asking you that?

Didn't you say Xuan Xu threw her in Heavenly Prison, and she couldn't come back alive?

Chancellor, calm down.

- I'll go kill her now. - Hold on.

If she doesn't overturn the case, keeping her alive won't hurt.

I'll show you how to deal with her.

♫ Flowers fall in front of the courtyard ♫

♫ Seasons change as I look back ♫

♫ Longing lingers in my heart ♫

[Whispers of Fragrance and Shadows]

♫ I gaze at my reflection and get lost in thought ♫

♫ Ripples shatter the twilight hues ♫

♫ The red mark on the brow will turn into a scar over time ♫

♫ What I wish to keep, I can't hold on to ♫

♫ Our love, like a moon in the mirror, a flower in the water ♫

♫ Did you love me, even for just a moment ♫

♫ When the dream ends, stars vanish, and silence falls ♫

♫ Just let fate fade into the abyss ♫

Please rest.

♫ Our love is like thorns in my hand and sand in my eyes ♫

♫ I only wish you'd feel the pain of my scar ♫

♫ As the veil lifts ♫

[Fire]

♫ Scattered far away, with you not there ♫

♫ Our love, like a moon in the mirror, a flower in the water ♫

[Light Breeze and Clear Moon]

♫ When the dream ends, stars vanish, and silence falls ♫

♫ Just let fate fade into the abyss. What else is there to fear ♫

♫ Our love is like thorns in my hand and sand in my eyes ♫

♫ I only wish you'd feel the pain of my scar ♫

Father, I'll save you all, I swear.

It's been so long.

Even his wounds have healed.

Why hasn't the Young Master moved on?

Maybe he still blames us for saving him back then.

What's so strange? Let's go.

That's impossible.

Young Master, a message from the Palace.

The King summons you.

Okay.

[Report by Yu Ming, General Guide]

We were never meant to be together.

Could you please let me go?

Qi Luo!

Young Master! Don't!

Qi Luo!

Young Master!

[Beixuan]

[Yannan]

Your Majesty, the Wolf Lord seeks an audience.

Let him in.

Xu.

You've been the Wolf Lord for over a month.

Some things need to be taken care of.

Now, I need to attack Yannan.

As the Wolf Lord, you must take responsibility.

Clearly, there are peaceful solutions.

Why do you insist on war?

Peaceful solutions?

Your so-called peaceful solutions is time-consuming and exhausting.

A battle can solve it swiftly.

Why waste so much effort?

Moreover, Baigong's heir is gone, and Yannan has lost its helper.

If we don't attack now, when will we?

But war burdens the people.

Whether it's Beixuan or Yannan, the people are innocent.

In the end, you're opposing me because of Jun Qi Luo.

No, it's for Beixuan's people and soldiers.

You are chosen as the Wolf Lord to unite the Five Clans, and attack Yannan.

Now that you hold military power, you're telling me you can't lead the battle?

A month ago, you received the seals of the Luo, Xi, and Sun clans.

A few days ago, Su Yan De presented the Su Clan Seal.

If you want Xuan Clan Seal now, I'll give it to you right now.

Now that you've gathered all the military power of the Five Clans

and achieved their unification,

you can negotiate with the people, set up trading posts, and develop the economy.

If I propose setting up trading posts...

I'd first eliminate bandits in the Uncontrollable.

Then send envoys to negotiate with Yannan and Xixiang.

Do you know how much effort and profit it'll cost to convince the two Kings?

Zhao Guang, that sly fox...

How much will he exploit us to settle this?

A single war could solve this.

Why do we have to waste time on this meaningless task?

No matter what,

the development and rivalry between two regions cannot come at the cost of the people's lives.

Enough!

Nothing more to say.

I've made up my mind.

You have no choice but to fight.

What do you mean?

Since you insist on attacking Yannan,

I'd like to relinquish this tally and Wolf Lord position.

Please appoint someone else.

- You... - As I've said,

I won't let the people of the two regions suffer because of me.

If you insist on war, this is my only way to keep my word.

Your Majesty, please don't get angry.

He's gotten too bold and keeps defying me.

Does he think I won't cut off his head?

Alright then.

He won't fight, but there are others who will!

Give the Tiger Tally to the Su Clan, and order Su Yan De to lead the army and attack Yannan!

♫ When I decide to hold you in my arms ♫

♫ I bury all past matters deep inside ♫

♫ When you decided to turn around ♫

♫ Everything would be clear to us ♫

♫ Then the green, piece by piece ♫

♫ Becomes a shadow in my heart ♫

♫ Covering my scarred past ♫

♫ Filling my once-empty heart ♫

♫ I want the green, piece by piece ♫

♫ To fall in my heart and turn into a star ♫

♫ Piecing together the Big Dipper to guard you ♫

♫ Illuminating the way home ♫

♫ Then the green, piece by piece ♫

♫ Becomes a shadow in my heart ♫

♫ Covering my scarred past ♫

♫ Filling my once-empty heart ♫

♫ Then the green, piece by piece ♫

♫ Will blooming brightly at the borders ♫

♫ The melody from nearby ♫

♫ Allows you to camp in my heart ♫

♫ Allows you ♫

♫ To camp in my heart ♫
