The only reason you're gonna go in cell for a couple minutes

is just so I can print the ticket out.

she's being taken into custody.

Depending on her criminal history,

she'll be given a citation for driving while revoked

with a summons to a court date.

And then she'll be released since it's a non-violent crime.

And then she'll get to go home tonight.

Also, I know this is not ideal,

because it's not registered

and the title isn't filled out correctly.

So when that happens, we don't know exactly who it owns to

and we don't wanna release the car

to somebody it does not belong to.

is to try to keep people from getting injured.

And to find out that's why he decided

We get calls like this all the time around here.

So I do believe his story

that, you know, a deer jumped out in front of him

and he swerved to miss it while he was trying

to negotiate this corner.

- Well, if he wasn't going that fast.

- Brother is the owner of the vehicle.

Because there's only damage to this vehicle,

we won't be taking a motor vehicle accident report on it.

And basically, all we're doing at this point

is we're just standing by until the tow truck gets here.

- He called me. He's like, "Hey, so the car's in a ditch.

I swerved from hitting a deer or something like that."

I was like, "I just saw you at home."

He was just at home. Like, where are you going?

- Basically.

Definitely puts a smile on our face

when everybody gets to go home.
