obscured from the XZ360 camera,

conveniently placed.

At which point,

Rick cleared the set
for the paramedics...

..and you seized your moment
to stab Jonny...

in the same tiny wound
that was made by the pin,

so that the postmortem

would only find
a single knife wound.

In the following half-hour

you had two things
you had to do.

First, you had to remove
the pin from the backpack

and clear up
any visible marks left on it.

You, then headed into the forest

and placed
this blood-stained knife

near the zip wire,

making sure
to trample the brush

and leave scuff marks
so it would look like

someone climbed the tree
to kill Jonny.

But...it was while you
were faking that crime scene

that you made one tiny mistake.

With all that running
Jonny did,

all that weight
from his backpack,

that tiny pearl had loosened,

and when it was back
in your pocket, it broke off.

And when you knelt down

and pulled out
that decoy murder weapon,

we'd never have found it,

literally got away with murder.

all the more worthwhile,

because now you were saving

from having her life destroyed.

why the murder
had to be so public,

in the middle of filming.
It was the final flourish,

because, Dale, killing Jonny

during the middle
of the Grand Final

would completely destroy
the game show

that Rick Mayhew
stole from Lisa.

he was saving himself,

but he was giving Lisa
everything she wanted,

in the vain hope
of winning her affection.
