Lady Miaka, the Priestess of Suzaku...

...reluctantly resigned herself to Tamahome's leaving her.

After that, Tamahome encountered Lady Yui...

...the Priestess of Seiryu, running in fear from Nakago.

Nakago had appeared in the real world...

...and knowing he'd fight Tamahome, the Lady Miaka raced to stop him.

But the battle between Tamahome and Nakago had already begun...

Miaka... In the very end...

...I'm glad I could say I love you one more time.

I may never see you again. Please forgive me for that.

But for your future...I'll fight!

Even if it costs me my life!

Miss, I'm afraid we can't go any further.

Looks like there's a fire.

Then I'll get out here.

Miss, you forgot your change!

Excuse me!

Hey, hold it! You can't go in there!

Let me go! Tamahome's in there!

Don't be crazy!

The road's cracked and there's a sea of fire blocking it!

Hey! Stop!

She's nuts...

Tamahome, please be all right.

Your battle is hopeless, Tamahome. I can break your neck with one hand.

Miaka...!

What's wrong, Tamahome? You can't stand on your own?

Poor boy. You're covered with blood, aren't you?

You excite me, if not in the same way a woman does...

DON'T MAKE A FOOL OF ME!

So, you can still move.

Killing you wouldn't have much point if you couldn't.

WOULD YOU JUST SHUT UP?!!

What's wrong, Tamahome?

Weren't you going to protect the Priestess of Suzaku?

Weren't you going to protect the Priestess of Suzaku's world?

That's it, Tamahome.

Come and save from me that which you treasure most!

"While Tamahome tried to fight Nakago, he could only..."

"...take his opponent's blows without inflicting any of his own."

Hang in there, Tamahome!

What?! " Meanwhile, the Priestess of Suzaku..."

"...made her way towards Tamahome through the fire and smoke."

That idiot's walking into that deathtrap?!

Whoa! Lemme through! I want to get over there!

MIAKA!!!

Tamahome! Tamahome, where are you?!

Please, answer me...

Yui, what's wrong?! Wake up!

Miaka...?

Yui...

Miaka!

It looks like the Priestess of Suzaku has found Lady Yui.

What?!

It's time our game was finished.

Over my dead body!

Then die.

I...

I wasn't able...

...to protect you...

Hang on, Yui! I'll have you out in a second!

Miaka...

Nakago!

Nakago...

No one can smash the barrier I cast around Lady Yui.

Where's Tamahome?

WHERE'S TAMAHOME?!

"And Tamahome gave up his life to Nakago..."

No way! Tamahome can't be dead! That's impossible!

The hero isn't supposed to die!

Keisuke! I saw this happening on the TV news!

I couldn't believe it! I never expected...

What's with the long face?

Nakago just killed Tamahome! What'll we do?!

Nakago's gonna kill Miaka and Yui, too!

Doesn't look like the cops or the riot squads can get in close to them.

If we could get "The Universe of the Four Gods" near him...

...then maybe we could get him back into the book!

Are you nuts? He'd use those life force powers of his...

...to blow US into another world before we could ever do it!

- Then... - Then what?

All we can do now is ask Tasuki and Chichiri for help.

Hold it, Keisuke. Calm down a second.

Those two are just normal people now!

They're still stronger than normal people!

We don't have any time now!

Tasuki! Chichiri! Oh, please, let them hear me...!

He was such a gentle man.

And he took his duties more seriously than you'd expect of one so young.

In doing so, he always seemed very lonely.

But in meeting the Priestess of Suzaku and the rest of you...

...he seemed to have finally found happiness.

Tasuki!

Chichiri!

Can you hear me?! I'm Keisuke, Miaka's brother!

Miaka's brother?

Save my sister... Save Miaka! Nakago's come to our world!

It looks like he's about to kill Miaka and Yui!

Miaka?

You're the only ones I can ask for help!

Find Miaka's rucksack... Um, the bag she brought there...

...and concentrate hard on coming to this world! Hurry!

It's not true... It's not true!

Tamahome couldn't have lost! Tamahome...!

Now the two of us are man and wife.

He can make miracles happen...!

Yui!

Now then, Lady Yui.

Use the final wish of Seiryu to make me a god.

Please grant me eternal life and power.

Never! I'm not listening to you anymore! Let me go!

Lady Yui, you must keep your promise to me.

Otherwise, I'll have to break the promise I made to you.

Promise?

Miaka!

My promise not to kill the Priestess of Suzaku.

Although death may really be a blessing for her now.

She can go to the man she loves, who has already left her behind.

Stop it! You're killing her!

Now, Lady Yui, use the last of Seiryu's power.

Do as I say, or else I will not only kill the Priestess of Suzaku...

...but I will also destroy your entire world.

Yui... Don't do what he says!

No matter what he does to me... Even if he kills me!

As I thought. Neither of you cares about this world at all.

I only vaguely realized it before.

You came to our world because you wanted to escape...

...the world you were forced to live in.

Yes, it's true.

When this all started, I hated this world. But now...

Now I see that this is where we've lived our lives.

Where we were born...

Where we grew up...

Where we met so many friends.

Isn't that right, Yui? Isn't it?

If you grant his wish, it really will be the end of this world!

Annoying girl.

Everyone seeks a place where they can live in peace.

I am no different. What is wrong with my wanting a world of my own?

While you wished to escape from your own world...

...I wish to create one of my own.

That's the only difference between us.

Yui...

Miaka... You're such a fool.

Even after all that's happened to you, you still believe in me?

Miaka... I finally realized.

I was just so angry because you left me for Tamahome.

I did love Tamahome, too, but if you hadn't been between us...

...l don't think I would have tried so desperately to get him.

I knew that you hadn't really betrayed me.

I know you better than Tamahome does.

Because the two of us have been together since we were children.

It was just... It hurt so much.

It was like only I was getting filthier and filthier.

I couldn't find a place to exist between you and Tamahome.

Yui...

But... That doesn't matter now.

I'm so tired.

I wanted to go to the same high school with you, but...

Bye-bye...

Kaijin.

Yui, don't do it! You'll be devoured by Seiryu!

YUI!!!

Hey! Look up there!

Isn't that a dragon?

It's a dragon!

Keisuke, look at that!

Tasuki... Chichiri...

This is the second time I've seen Seiryu.

Everything is finished.

Now then, what shall become of this world, Seiryu?

Will you destroy everything in honor of Lady Yui?

Give them back...

Give Tamahome and Yui back to me!

Little girl... What can you do by yourself?

I will send you to your dear Tamahome.

Then it will all be over.

NAKAGO!!!

Tasuki and Chichiri have appeared!

What?!

Are you okay?

Chichiri! You always pull the super- deformed bit when the situation's bad!

Why'd I have to carry you all the way here?!

You people...

I'll take him on! Chichiri, you take care of Miaka!

Gotcha!

You people really are fools. I just said it was all over.

Well, the Suzaku Seven never gives up!

Miaka! Miaka, it's me, you know? Speak to me!

Miaka! Miaka!

Miaka! Miaka! Miaka!

Miaka... Miaka...

Yui...

The Lady Yui gave her life to give the Lady Miaka the power she needed.

Tamahome gave her his love...

...and the Suzaku Seven gave her their courage.

And the young girl upon whom they've placed their hopes...

...now becomes the legendary Priestess of Suzaku.

Next time, " Entrusted Hope."

Let this prayer be carried to heaven...
