Two men fishing on the
river say aliens grabbed them.

Now, 45 years later, for the first time,

a witness is coming forward,

saying she saw this alien encounter.

Two of the main witnesses that came out,

I told you Karen Nelson interviewed Calvin

and she filmed it as well.

So she made a little sort of

eight minute mini documentary

that when you read the newspaper online,

there was the little documentary with it.

Somebody took that and put it on YouTube.

And I'm reading the comments under it

and one of the comments said,

"My mother and father
were on the opposite side

of the river that night
and they saw the UFO."

On the
same October, 1973 night,

not far from where the
marker will be placed

on the East Bank of the river,

Maria Blair was waiting
with her husband, Jerry Blair,

for him to leave on a
boat to work offshore.

What she saw that night is something

she's telling for the first time publicly.

It was a warm night. It
was like 70, 73 degrees.

And so it was kind
of easy to sit in the car

and just wait for the captain to get there.

While they were
waiting, Jerry went to sleep.

My husband was
supposed to catch a boat out

that was already at the dock.

He worked on a offshore crew boat.

And he was supposed
to met the captain there

and went out on the boat and
he worked on for John Graham

and he was catching a boat,
so that's why we were there.

But see, back then they didn't have phones,

so there was no way that
they could get in touch with us.

And I told my husband since they told us

that he was gonna be late getting there

because the bad weather
over the beach, I said,

"We might as well just sit here,

because they can't call us or anything."

So we were sitting there waiting on him.

Okay.

This was 2018.

Because you
guys had just published..

Yeah. So I thought, "Wow."

So I found this person
and it was a young lady

and I said, "Who are your mum and dad

and could we speak to them?"

I explained the reason why.

She come back and said,
"Yeah, it's Maria and Jerry Blair.

Here's the phone number,
they're expecting your call."

So I phoned up, spoke to Maria, Mrs. Blair.

The young lady who made that comment

was her youngest daughter.

They told the girls about
seeing the UFO, but that was it.

The only person I ever
talked to about it was my kids.

I never said anything to
anybody, I never talked about it.

And how would it come up

with the conversation to your kids?

Was it were they little or grown up or..

Whenever like if they
heard something like that

on the news or heard
something like that.

Because I used to cry

whenever I would start talking about it,

I would get very upset, start crying.

And I knew there was something that I seen

or something happened to
me, but I just didn't know what,

and I would start crying.

So you
kind of like knew something-

It was in my subconscious mind

that I knew something had happened to me,

but I didn't know what.

Yeah, it's been accepted
now in Pascagoula.

This is part of their town's history

and they now welcome it with open arms.

There is a historical
marker close to the site

where the encounter happened,

that was officially unveiled
in 2019 by the mayor.

That was where Calvin first
met Maria and Jerry Blair.

They came along to it

and they were interviewed
for the local television,

but only then talking about these

strange lights they'd seen.

It didn't go into any
detail about anything else.

Now with a 45-year-old secret

washed under the bridge,

Maria met Calvin
face-to-face for the first time.

- How are you?

I'm good.

I know. Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. - Oh, wow.

- That's my husband, Jerry.
- How are you doing?

Nice to meet you. - Last time I saw you

you was on Johnny Carr.

Yeah! - When was that,

about '74, '75? - '75.

We've been friends, we just didn't know it.

It didn't take long

for the conversation
to turn to what's brought

Calvin and Maria together.

Yeah, it's burnt right
in my mind, that night.

It is mine, too.

I seen it go up from right here.

That's when I seen it in
the air and the blue light

and it took off that way and
it followed along that river.

Calvin's
story has been questioned

and doubted for most of his life.

He says he had lost all hope
of a witness coming forward,

but now he and Maria
both have a sense of relief.

And that night, October the 11th,

Jerry worked for a company
that used to service the oil rigs

out in the Gulf.

And they were on the
opposite side of the river.

The boat was there, ready to take him out,

but his supervisor was late.

It was a warm night.

It was like 70, 73 degrees.

And so it was kind
of easy to sit in the car

and just wait for the captain to get there.

While they were
waiting, Jerry went to sleep.

He decides to have a sleep in the car.

And Maria said, "We see this thing"

over the opposite side of the river.

"It's going up and down."

She says, "If it's an airplane,

it obviously doesn't know where it is."

She knew the area, so there's
nowhere to land over there.

You know, there's no landing strip.

She alerts Jerry and he says,

"Oh, that must be a helicopter."

And they think... So it was kind of

like hovering over..

It was moving, coming
and going, zigzagging around.

She said it was either it
didn't know where it was going

or it was looking for something.

It seemed to be scared. - Yeah.

I mean, I didn't know what was happening,

what was going on. I was just
watching what was going on,

but I didn't know exactly what it was.

Until later on.

And then they come back
out, they brought 'em out

and took 'em back down to the waterfront,

set 'em down where they were at before.

Wow. - And that's when

they got back in the craft
and took off, straight up.

So how
long do you think they were-

They were in there about 30 minutes.

So we're speaking to
'em, and when Mrs. Blair

talked about this thing, she said to me,

"Phillip, I often wondered
if something similar

didn't happen to us that's
happened to Charlie and Calvin."

I said, "Well, why do you say that?"

She says, "I've got
these images, you know",

out of the side of my eyes,
I can't quite make them out,

"but there's something there."

So I said, "Okay."

I passed this on to
my colleague, Dr. Scott,

who interviewed them both in full.

I really didn't know what had happened,

'cause I didn't know
for years, 50 years later

"until I knew what
actually happened to me."

And she kept in contact with Maria

for a couple of years.

You know, either on the phone

or by text message or whatever.

Then Jerry takes ill, seriously ill,

and he's in the hospital
and he says to Maria,

"I've got something to tell you."

Because he
thinks this might be his last-

Yeah, yeah.

So what was the situation

when Jerry came out and said that-

He was in the hospital
in Providence Hospital

and he was fixing to talk about it.

And I said, "Wait a minute,
lemme get my phone."

So I grabbed my phone. - Good for you.

Yeah.

Got my phone started
videoing him talking about it.

And that's when he said that I did see

what my wife seen that night, I lied.

I did see what she seen,

but I lied about it because I was scared

people would think I was crazy.

Why do you
think he needed to come forward

and tell that? - Because

it would help me out. - Okay.

It helped him out.

We needed to know,

we needed to get all this out in the open.

And he said, "We
were abducted that night."

And this is 2020, thereabouts, maybe '21.

And he explains to her
that they were abducted

and he said, "I was just
trying to protect you."

He had full waking
memory of that moment,

but she did not. - She did not.

When he started to tell
her what had happened,

these little images that
she... On the side of her-

That she thought was
in her peripheral vision,

they weren't actually, they
were actually through her eyes

when this creature had
come up out of the water,

she closed her eyes and
she's squinting through her eyes.

That's what she can see, you know,

because it wasn't in the peripheral vision.

It's through almost closed eyes,

she could just peep out of them.

Because she was in such terror.

Absolutely.

So, even though Jerry's
seriously ill, she said,

"You've got some explaining to do, Mr."

Not only that, Darcy, Jerry insisted

that she phone me from the hospital

and Jerry phoned me
and he's in his hospital bed

and he said, "I saw the
same as my wife that night."

You know, "I've been lying all these years.

I said I didn't see anything, but I did."

And then she made..

He made his wife Maria, film him

on the mobile phone, which we have.

Thank you. - I lied all them years,

saying I didn't see what my wife saw.

I did see it, I just
didn't want to admit it

because I was afraid how
people would look at me.

But I saw exactly what
she described as an object,

a person, a humanoid in the water

that I kept telling her was a
porpoise was not a porpoise,

it was a humanoid figure
that was in the water.

It made the splashing noise

and I also saw the blue
light when they come down

and the people, humanoids leaving us,

not coming to us, but leaving us.

I don't remember seeing 'em come to us,

but I remember seeing 'em leaving

and go back across the river to

their spaceship or whatever it was.

But that's as much as I remember.

And I hope you get this on recording,

'cause this may be all that's left for me.

I want my wife to understand. Bye.

I said, "What happened
to us that night, Jerry?"

There was only two people,
exactly what I told him.

I said, "It wasn't but two
people on that pier that night.

It was you and me. So
you better start talking.

You better start telling me something."

And that's when he
broke loose and said that

they had abducted us
and I had to read his lips.

And I said, "What did they do to us?"

He said, "They took us to the spaceship."

And he said they took us to the ship.

He didn't say spaceship
in front, he said to the ship,

and I said, "A boat?"

He said, "No, a spaceship."

How did
you feel when he said that?

Chills. Just chills.

He had an operation.

He survived that, but
it was only a respite,

it wasn't a cure.

And he died some months later.

And Maria was as mad as hell with him.

She loved her husband, you know,

but she was..

So she asked us if she
could go under hypnosis.

And I said, "No, we're
not going down that route."

We'll leave that for now.

"Your husband's not long died," you know.

She came back last year,
2022, mentioned it again.

I said, "Well, look, okay,
I'll see what I can do.

I won't make any promises."

I found a local professional hypnotherapist

who would come out to clients.

In Mississippi? - Yeah, in Mississippi.

Not far from Pascagoula itself.

So we arranged for
Maria to undergo hypnosis.

We actually conducted it at Calvin's house.

She'd met Calvin since then,

become friends with him and Wynette.

Calvin had had hypnosis
before, so he knew the score.

He knew what to expect.

What we didn't tell the hypnotherapist

was anything about it.

Nothing.

All she knew was a
date, time, and location.

She had no idea what we were doing it for.

And she wasn't giving any questions to us,

so it was literally put Maria
under hypnosis and away we go.

Very good. And one more
time, eyes open, closed.

Three times as deep as before.

So I'm going to now

So they get Jerry's
clothing and what have you.

And they start to walk along the pier

and Maria says there's
this splash in the water.

And she says this, these are her words.

This gray man comes out of the water

in front of her.

She calls it this gray man.

And she says, "It terrified
the living daylights out of me,

but then it went back into the water,

went under and didn't come back up."

So she run to the boat,

threw Jerry's clothes on him, literally.

And she said this was around nine o'clock.

At night? - At night.

So it's pitch dark. - Yeah, it's dark.

What did the gray man look like?

She said she did not
have a great view of it,

'cause it was so close to
her and she was so scared.

She said, "But it looked like
a person, but it was gray."

Like a human? - Humanoid.

And... Big eyes?

No, no, she couldn't-

She didn't go into any
details. Not really, no.

When I told you I seen,

I heard something go in
the water, splash in the water,

and then I seen them come
up, what I seen of it was scary.

I just remembered it had wrinkled skin.

Just the wrinkled skin and an ugly face.

They were gray.

Gray and
then, can you recall at all

how big they were, like the size?

Well, the ones that grabbed my husband,

I didn't actually, they were
down there where he was

and when he grabbed me,
so I didn't have a chance to see

what was going on down there with him,

'cause he was further
down the pier than I was.

So when he grabbed me,
he kept coming right up on me

and he got me-

From the
front or from the back?

Well, I was kinda
like standing like this.

Okay. Crazy.

So then I guess this is,
what did the creature do?

He just put me out.

He just put me out and put me to sleep

or whatever he did to
me, put me outta my reality,

I don't know.

What did Jerry see?

Well, he's told me, like I said,

he told me that there was three of them

and he said the one
that was out in the front

was the leader.

He was telling the other ones what to do.

And they were telling the
other ones just to get me.

And he told them not to hurt me.

But here's the interesting thing.

They put Jerry's clothes on this boat

that's gonna go out into the gulf,

and then she runs down
the pier to go back to the car.

But it's now 12 o'clock.

So it's three hours gone,
in the blink of an eye.

But yeah, I had missing time.

We were like, good while
we were gone for a good while.

So when you came back,

it was way later than it should have been.

Yeah, and it was like, I just
remember them putting me,

back where I was at,
I didn't have no reality

that I had actually went
anywhere, you know,

because I had no idea.

I was just there.

And when I come to, I
kind of like, I looked around,

looked back and not even knowing

that something had
happened to me, but it did.

And when I looked out from
back, I could see the creature,

there was the alien going away from us.

He was going back to the ship

and he's floating across
the Pascagoula River,

he's floating.

And my husband said when they left him,

he said that he watched them.

He said he kept his eye on that one.

They never leave you alone.

I've seen him a whole bunch of times

and sometimes whenever
they get you when you asleep,

it's just like they did you the first night

that I had seen them, when they'll come in,

they'll put you out just
like they did me that night,

like put me in a sleep.

And I even sent a picture

where they was putting
me out and I didn't know,

I knew I was fixing to go to sleep

and I knew why I was going to sleep,

but there's nothing you can do about it.

And then when you wake up,

you don't know how long you've been out.

There was nothing you
could, and when I seen, I think,

"Oh my gosh, I thought I
knew everything about this.

Well, what is these things? What is this?"

And I'm just frightened to death.

But then I just, they just
took me outta my reality,

I just passed out or they
put me to sleep or whatever.

I don't recall anything,

I don't know what
happened to me after that.

But I do remember floating right before

I got to the spacecraft.

I remember opening this eye

and I was peeking through my eye

and I could see the light
coming through the door

of the spacecraft and I could sense

that there was something
over here behind me,

but I didn't look.

And you couldn't move
nothing but your eyeballs.

You couldn't move your head,
you couldn't move nothing.

And so it just floated me in

and then I just went back out.

Floating in the air.

Okay. Floating in the air, okay.

they would tell me when I was in Mobile,

when I'd get off from
there, down in Mobile,

they'd tell me to go to Pascagoula.

just say go to Pascagoula.

Just go to Pascagoula. Yeah.

I'd go to Pascagoula.

To do what there?

They would just put me to sleep.

They would just put me
to sleep and put me out.

And you'd
wake up in Pascagoula?

I'd be out in Pascagoula somewhere.

So how many times do you think
something like that happened?

Oh, that happens a lot of times.

And one time I was
over there right in front of

River Hospital.

And that's what they most of told me

to go park in front of this hospital.

And I would go there

and park right where the
emergency room is right there.

And there's, you know,
they got the ducks and pond.

And I would pull up there,
it'd be at night, late at night,

and I'd pull up there and as soon as I get,

I'd be so sleepy and I
would like just fall out.

And when I'd come to, that's where I'd be.

A lot of times I tell you, it's like they

warn you of something before it happens.

Like, has that ever happened?

Like what have they warned you of?

Oh, you know, like if
you're driving or something

to be careful of such and such intersection

or it's just certain things.

So in
some ways do you feel like

they've protected you?

Yeah, they protect me.

somehow you're able to communicate.

A lot of times they'll

they'll come in your mind

It's like right now, they're in my mind

and if they don't want you
to talk about something,

most of the time they don't
want you talking about 'em.

they kind of stop you and-

like that's happening right now?

You're fine, but a lot of times

they'll get your train of thought.

but it's sometimes when,
what I was gonna say was

whenever I would get up
in the morning, I'd wake up,

I'd have like bruises on my arm.

And you could see where
they grabbed your arm, like this.

You'd have a bruise on your
arm when they grabbed your arm

or this arm or somewhere.

And you could see like
a little, like a fingerprint.

You could tell that was like a pressure.

Like a pressure on it or
your legs, grab your leg.

You'd have a bruise on it.

Oh, back when I was
over here in Mississippi,

it happened a lot.

But I was working over
here at the station

and sometimes I get so sleepy,

but one night I was
coming from my daughter's,

up in Coleman and I just, it was at night

and I was trying to find some cheaper gas

from where it was on the interstate.

And so I turned off on the side,

I mean, I don't know how I got down there.

There's a lot of times I
would I be somewhere

and I don't even know how I got there and-

That's
that missing time thing?

Yeah. And when I came to, I was at,

it was a place where they
do exercising, fitness center.

I would crawl there and
sleep in a fitness center.

And I'm thinking, "How did I get here?"

They don't try to hurt you.

Nope. - That's good.

That was the agreement
my husband had with them.

So I'm not scared of them anymore.

to make any sudden moves.

My granddaughter, we
were over on the other street

where she lived at and
she says, "Mama," she said,

"Can you get me a spacecraft

where I can see what it looks like?"

You know, "Get one to
come up, where I can see it?"

Because
you had told her that you had-

Yeah. And I said, "I can do that."

And so I'm pathologically talking to him.

And so when I went from that
street over to the other street

where the school is, when
we're coming down that street,

at the end of that street,
there's a caution light

and there's a three-way stop.

And there's a little
convenience store out here

and there's a church over here.

And people were coming down the church

and I'm coming up the
street and I had to slow up,

because it was coming towards me.

And it got right over the hood of my car.

And I told her, I said, "Do you see it?"

And she's looking at it and I
said, "Look how pretty it is."

And she was looking at it and just

after a few minutes, it just backed off.

Was that
during the day or at night?

It was at night. - At night.

And so could you see the craft at all?

Like what colors and
shape and everything it was?

The craft looked like,

just like the one that I seen that night.

It was kinda like shaped like a football.

But the colors was so pretty.
It was like red, green, blue.

It was all different colors. It
was like a merry-go-round.

And I said, "Look how pretty it is."

And
were they flashing lights?

Yeah, flashing lights.

And how
old was your granddaughter?

Well, at the time, she
was probably about 12.

Okay. - And she says,

"Mama, don't tell anybody
else that I told you I seen that."

When we seen this face, the
UFO that night in Theodore,

we was the only one that seen it.

Nobody else seen it.

It was a bunch of people
coming outta the church.

But nobody else seen it, but
me and my granddaughter.

So they can fix who they want to see them

or the spacecraft or whatever.

They're so advanced.

Were
those people still inside

or were they outside?

They were outside the church.

And they
couldn't see it, but you could?

Yeah. - Oh, wow.

Nobody even talked about it.

Nobody's even talked,
"Well, there's this UFO

over here in the Theodore,"
nobody's saying nothing.

No fears,
everything's all right.

I'm fine.

I had no idea about what
actually happened to me.

And both of you had

just left in different directions?

Yeah, he left and went out
on the boat and I went home.

Interesting.

And he never talked about it to me.

He never wanted to talk about it.

He never said nothing to me.

And he knew all this
stuff. He knew everything.

He knew everything
that happened that night.

'Cause he was strong.

He knew what happened.

So why do you
think he didn't say anything?

Well, it was just like he told Calvin.

He said, "'Cause people
would think I was crazy."

And I even asked that
to him before he died.

I said, "Do you remember me saying

there's somebody out there, I can see 'em?"

And he said, "Yes, I do."
And he said, "I lied about that.

"I did see what you see." - Wow.

"But I didn't want people
to think I was crazy."

He even told Phillip that.

It was okay.

And you know, we recorded the hypnosis

with a professional film cameraman.

And we've transcribed it

The only bit that's not in is when they're

putting her under hypnosis.

I've since interviewed Maria.

A colleague of mine over
there did it on an iPhone.

And she said that

she could see what was happening

to Charlie and Calvin, you know,

she was a witness to the events that night.

had subsequent visitations,
