ADAPTED FROM ZHU YAN BY CANG YUE

Use the techniques I taught you

to remove his seal.

With my power,

summon him back to life.

Have I succeeded?

Zhi Yuan.

Zhi Yuan.

Yaoyi.

Is this us meeting in heaven?

No.

Zhi Yuan, you're not dead.

Preceptor?

Preceptor.

I've long returned to the mortal world.

I'm no longer the Preceptor of Jiuyi Mountain.

Shi Ying.

Princess.

Congratulations, for your love has finally come to fruition.

But Shi Ying.

Why did you spare me, the Sea Emperor?

It was the God of Dragon

who planted the Dragon's Breath in you,

protecting your soul.

And he also informed us that you're here.

Moreover, you were never meant to die.

The true Sea Emperor

is someone else,

isn't it?

Zhi Yuan.

Don't worry.

Shi Ying has no intention

of bringing harm to the Sea Emperor.

After experiencing life and death,

we have already seen through the prophecy.

Things are in our hands.

There is nothing in this world

that cannot be reversed.

Are you truly willing to let go of the Sea Emperor?

Are you trying to escape?

I'll kill you, you hypocritical Sea Emperor!

Don't hurt the child.

So the Sea Emperor

is really the child you were holding in Ye City?

He was unconscious

and lost his mother.

Unconscious

and lost his mother?

Sumo?

It's Sumo, right?

So the child's name is Sumo.

Yan'er, think carefully.

That child is no ordinary Merfolk.

That's right.

He can merge with the Dragon Blood Jade

Zhi Yuan gave to me.

Sumo.

So Sumo is the Sea Emperor.

We need to find Sumo immediately.

I believe he has been hiding

near Cangwu Abyss, right?

Shi Ying.

Didn't you say you no longer believe in the Evil Star thing?

I won't harm anyone anymore

because of that prophecy.

It's just that this child

is important to you, Yan'er,

the Merfolk,

and the people of Kongsang.

I want to see him return

to the Biluo Sea myself.

You're right.

Even if you're willing to spare him,

another bloodbath will inevitably come

if one with ill intentions discovers him,

figures out the Evil Star has returned,

and the Sea Emperor is still in Kongsang.

So according to the God of Dragon,

Zhi Yuan needs to do something for the marine force.

This matter is related to Sumo.

What day is it today?

It's a leap day.

We must hurry to Huangquan Waterfall

or it will be too late.

- Ruyi. - Lord Zhi?

- Are you all right? - Are you here to pick us up?

Sumo.

Lord Zhi.

Why did you bring two Kongsang people here?

Ruyi.

Don't you remember me?

I'm Zhu Yan.

Zhi Yuan is not just Lord Zhi,

- but your-- - Princess.

I'll explain it all to Ruyi slowly in the future.

Shi Ying.

Do you have a way to restore Sumo's consciousness?

He has been put under the Dream Alteration Spell.

That's why he's in this deep sleep.

Zhi Yuan, as the descendant of the Dragon Clan,

you're able to undo the dream.

Meanwhile, Yan'er will protect

his heart pulse.

Sumo should be able to wake up

without any backlash.

That's great.

Sumo is finally saved.

But he has been under the spell for too long.

And we don't know the specifics

of the altered dream.

Elder Jian's suggestions to him are deeply rooted.

It may be difficult for us to completely uproot them.

In the future, if he suffers another blow,

there may be relapses.

As long as Sumo can wake up,

Ruyi and I

will guide and influence him slowly.

He'll surely get better.

We shouldn't delay any longer.

Zhi Yuan, undo the Dream Alteration Spell for him.

Yan'er, remember these hand gestures.

All right.

I've memorized them.

Sumo.

Zhi Yuan.

What is this place?

Sumo.

Zhu Yan?

Sumo!

No.

You abandoned me.

You don't want me anymore.

I hate you!

- I hate you! - Sumo.

- Sumo. - I hate you!

- I've been looking for you all along. - You abandoned me!

- I missed you. - I hate you!

I miss you, Sumo.

I hate you.

Sumo.

- I hate you. - I'm sorry, Sumo.

I'm sorry.

There, there.

It's all right now.

I'm sorry.

It's all my fault.

I'm sorry.

I'm glad you're all right.

Princess.

They should go home now.

That's great.

We can finally return to the Biluo Sea.

Only on a leap day can the bloodline of the Sea Emperor

resonate with the God of Dragon,

briefly opening a pathway to the Biluo Sea.

If he doesn't go this time,

we'll have to wait for several more years.

Undue delay may bring troubles.

Come on, let's go home.

Sumo.

Lord Zhi.

What about you? Aren't you going home with us?

I have to return to Jialan

to give Kongsang an explanation.

I'll find a way to return to the Biluo Sea to see you.

Don't worry about me.

Zhi Yuan.

I'm going now.

Zhu Yan.

Sumo.

Promise me

to listen to Ruyi

and don't be deceived by bad people.

There are still many good people like me

in Kongsang.

As long as we are all alive,

we will meet again someday.

When you grow up,

come find me.

All right?

It's a promise.

You must live a long life.

All right.

I want to see you all grown up.

You must also grow up safely.

Let's go.

Zhi Yuan!

Zhi Yuan!

Zhi Yuan!

Yan'er.

I am Xuyao.

Xuyao?

Isn't that one of the ancient Gods?

The God of Destruction,

opposing the God of Creation.

Why did he enter Zhi Yuan's body?

I've sensed this aura

somewhere before.

Was it Diba or…

It's your fault I lost the Sea Emperor's blood.

But this descendant of the Dragon Blood is not bad either.

With him around,

why worry about controlling the future Sea Emperor?

So you were the one

controlling Xingzun back then.

Why do you need the Sea Emperor's blood?

Stop struggling.

You're no match for me.

You have nothing left in Kongsang

and no attachment to the mortal world.

Why waste your effort fighting me?

No.

I have someone I care about.

I won't be defeated by you.

Do you think Zhu Yan is the reincarnation of Chizhu Feili?

You're dreaming.

Zhi Yuan.

Face your inner desires.

It was Zhu Yan who caused Yaoyi's death.

She destroyed Yaoyi's remaining consciousness.

Let her pay the price.

Turn Zhu Yan into Yaoyi.

As a descendant of the Dragon Blood,

only you can take me to the Biluo Sea.

Let's make a deal.

You help me find the Sea Emperor.

Then I'll fulfill your wish.

- Zhi Yuan. - No!

He's not Zhi Yuan.

Xuyao has taken over his body.

Yaoyi.

Come here.

What did you call me?

I'm Zhu Yan,

not Yaoyi.

From now on,

you will be my Yaoyi.

Xuyao is skilled

at exploiting the darkest and most selfish desires of the host

for his own benefit.

Back then, he used Emperor Xingzun's feelings

for Empress Bai Wei.

And now he's using Zhi Yuan's obsession with Yaoyi.

Yaoyi.

Where do you think

you're going with this man after abandoning me?

Can you escape from my grasp?

Why not

experience my newfound power?

Shi Ying!

Shi Ying!

Shi Ying.

Stop it.

Shi Ying.

Let her go.

Shi Ying!

Stop it.

You can't harm him.

Shi Ying.

Shi Ying.

From now on,

there is only one king in Yunhuang.

There can only be one person in your heart

and that's me.

- Shi Ying. - As for him,

he'll be treated

anyhow I want.

Shi Ying.

No!

Stop it!

Shi Ying.

- How about it, Shi Ying? - Shi Ying.

Do you admit defeat?

If you admit now that she is mine,

I can spare your life.

Shi Ying.

No.

Shi Ying.

The Yaoyi you loved

died 200 years ago.

Yan'er isn't her!

Stop it!

No!

Shi Ying.

He's doomed.

No!

Zhi Yuan.

I'm willing to become Yaoyi.

From now on,

I'll be your Yaoyi.

Wu Gu.

Prepare the wedding ceremony for us.

Shi Ying!

This waterway is filled

with countless hidden currents and passages.

For centuries, countless lost souls

have wandered here,

never finding their way out,

forever trapped in despair.

Yaoyi.

No one can find us here.

We've arrived at our new home.

It turns out

my great-great-grandmother and I look so similar.

Her bead coincidentally recognized me that day.

No wonder Zhi Yuan was so fixated

on mistaking me for her.

Yaoyi.

This is the belated wedding ceremony

I have prepared for you that's 200 years late.

What?

Wedding?

Why?

Are you not happy with it?

Well,

don't you think it's a little bit too rushed?

Rushed?

You want to be my Yaoyi.

But do you think it's too rushed?

At this moment,

are you truly willing to be my Yaoyi?

Zhi Yuan.

Of course I am sincere.

It's just that marriage is a significant event in life.

I need to inform my parents.

In the previous life,

everyone believed

that Merfolk was not to be with Kongsang people.

But now,

no one can stop me.

I won't care about anyone's opinions.

But I'm a girl.

Naturally, I hope

the wedding will be lively and festive.

Are you just trying to deceive me,

using this as an opportunity to delay and escape?

Is that right?

Let me go.

You're my Yaoyi.

I won't let you go anymore.

- I want to have you now. - Let me go!

Zhi Yuan, what do you want to do?

You hurt me!

Yaoyi?

Yaoyi.

Are you all right?

I didn't mean to hurt you.

I was too eager.

After 200 years,

we can finally be together.

Zhi Yuan.

Why don't you

tell me

about your relationship with Yaoyi?

It will help me

to be a better Yaoyi for you.

And then,

we can get married.

All right.

This eyebrow shape

is Yaoyi's favorite.

Look.

Two of us in the mirror.

Don't we look perfect together?

It's raining so heavily.

Shi Ying is seriously injured.

I have to find a way to escape.

What are you thinking?

I…

I was just thinking

that after 200 years,

you still remember

how to draw this eyebrow shape.

Your memory is remarkable.

Of course I remember

every detail of Yaoyi.

In the future,

you should remember them all too.

Zhi Yuan.

Now,

you won't even let me touch your scale anymore?

Is there no place

for me in your heart anymore?

Zhi Yuan.

My head hurts.

Although your feelings for me are not as deep

as those for my great-great-grandmother,

they are still precious to me.

You're the Keeper Yuan who watched me grow up.

You accompanied me, protected me,

and understood me,

like a father and a brother.

Like a father and a brother.

Like a father and a brother.

Don't you cherish this bond too?

That's why

when you mistook me for Yaoyi's reincarnation,

you didn't say anything

and faced everything alone.

To me,

you're equally important.

I want to keep Yan'er safe.

I want Yaoyi to come back.

Zhi Yuan.

- I want to keep Yan'er safe. - Zhi Yuan.

Zhi Yuan.

I want to keep Yan'er safe.

Zhi Yuan.

I'll come back and save you

after I find a solution.

Zhi Yuan.

- I want to keep Yan'er safe. - I'll come back to rescue you

after I find a way.

I want Yaoyi to come back!

As expected, it's not that easy.

With my thoughts,

search for my desire.

Set off.

This is my Ice Clan's ultimate formation.

You can't escape.

Yan'er.

You've been lying to me all along.

I accidentally

fell into your trap earlier.

But

how could I bear

to let Yaoyi, who is about to be in my grasp,

slip away?

I can't bring myself to tell you.

Everything you do will be in vain.

Shi Ying has lost all his power

and I gave him a fatal blow.

I'm afraid

his vital organs are consumed by inner fire.

Just like this.

You see that, right?

So what's the use if you found him?

Wu Gu.

Why don't you go and collect Shi Ying's corpse?

If he miraculously

survives,

kill that useless person for me.

Yes.

Zhi Yuan.

When did you become

such a monster?

Now, let me tell you

how to become Yaoyi.

Since you refuse to accept my goodwill,

don't blame me for forcing you.

How do you feel

about wearing Yaoyi's clothes,

smelling her favorite fragrance,

and drinking her favorite wine?

Do you feel like you're becoming Yaoyi?

I have lost my sense of taste and smell.

I can't smell the fragrance

nor taste the flavor.

Your efforts are in vain.

The one who loves you is Yaoyi,

not me.

You forced me to marry you.

You're only marrying a shell without a soul.

No.

From now on,

you will become my Yaoyi.

What are you planning to do?

I want to transform you into Yaoyi.

You actually want to turn me into someone else?

Are you insane?

Zhu Yan.

Didn't you lose your sense of taste and smell?

By transforming you into someone else,

won't your senses come back?

Then you can enjoy everything in this world

with me.

Let go of me.

I don't want this.

I am Zhu Yan.

I don't want to become anyone else!

Supreme power, fulfill my wish.

From now on,

you'll forget your identity as Zhu Yan

and live

as Yaoyi.

I'm the chief of Extreme Wind City, Chizhu Feili.

You can call me Yaoyi too.

Good.

Now that you have accepted me as your master,

you should remember my teachings.

Chi Yuan.

Have you undergone a transformation?

Wait for my return.

I'll wait for you to be reincarnated.

Yan'er!

What did you do to Yan'er?

You actually regained your power.

Pushed to the brink of death and then reborn?

Let Yan'er go!

Yan'er?

Who's Yan'er?

She has already become my Yaoyi.

You've come for me.

Yan'er.

If heaven won't take your life,

then let me kill you.

That way,

you won't have to think about anything

and will forever be my Yaoyi.

Yan'er.

Yan'er?

Yan'er.

Did I hurt you?

It's impossible.

This can't be.

- Yan'er! - Impossible.

- Yan'er. - That's impossible.

I couldn't have hurt Yan'er.

This is impossible.

I would never harm Yan'er.

Yan'er, are you all right?

Zhi Yuan.

Are you more clear-headed now?

Yan'er, I…

Zhi Yuan.

You two, leave now.

Go now!

Yan'er, are you all right?

I'm fine.

It's just that Xuyao tried to turn me into Yaoyi.

Luckily, you arrived in time

and interrupted the spell.

Don't worry. I'll be fine.

Look, I'm in front of you

and perfectly fine.

If you feel something's wrong,

you must let me know.

What about you?

Xuyao said your organs were consumed by inner fire

and your nerves were severed.

That should have happened.

But

in the face of death,

I felt the power of your fire crane.

That was how I managed to hold on.

The Divine Thunder

opened up my meridians

and restored the power

that I had lost.

But I never expected Xuyao

to completely transform Zhi Yuan

into someone else.

Xuyao now

controls the two divine rings.

Given time,

his ability to manipulate people's hearts

will only grow stronger.

Eventually,

he can even command the army

at his will.

Army?

That's right.

What's even more terrifying is that

if Xuyao finds the Sea Emperor

through Zhi Yuan,

he can unlock the seal on the rings

and absorb the power of the world

to destroy Yunhuang.

So we must not leave the rings

in Xuyao's hands.

We must find a way to retrieve them.

But Zhi Yuan is practically immortal now.

We can't defeat him.

Besides,

we don't have the incantation to control the rings.

So we can't summon them.

Yan'er.

Zhi Yuan's current strength

won't be able to withstand Xuyao for long.

So

we need to leave this place as soon as possible

and return to Jialan to find a solution.

This catastrophe affects the entire world.

Yunhuang

will be engulfed in the flames of war.
