ADAPTED FROM ZHU YAN BY CANG YUE

Master.

I'm no longer a Preceptor.

You don't have to call me Master anymore.

Your Highness.

I should go now.

I'll go with you.

I left the post

just to be with you.

No.

No, you can't.

Why not?

Is it because I killed Zhi Yuan?

No, it's not because of that.

Zhi Yuan already told me.

He didn't blame you

nor did he want me to blame you.

I said that

because I wanted you to spare his life.

Your Highness.

I don't know how you feel about me.

I didn't even realize

that my feelings for you…

So…

it's because of the tale of doom.

I'm worried

I might do something foolish.

Does it still hurt?

Look.

I'm perfectly fine standing in front of you, aren't I?

You killed me just as the prophecy predicted,

but you're also the reason

I return to the mortal world.

Besides,

if I didn't have you in my heart

like a guiding light in the dark,

I would've perished during Tribulations of Hell.

Just like when I lost control

in the stone chamber.

It was also because of you

that I was saved.

It shows everything can be changed.

However, that's just a guess.

It's not the reality.

Yan'er,

is this a good enough reason?

Those who are destined for each other

can overcome any obstacles.

Yan'er.

From now on,

you can directly address me by my name.

This person is Wu Xian, the chief of Ten Sorcerers.

Ten Sorcerers

don't refer to ten individuals,

but rather the supreme cultivators

of Ice Clan led by Wu Xian.

Wu Xian is the chief of Ten Sorcerers.

If he doesn't die,

Ten Sorcerers can be established anytime.

Previously,

I thought Wu Xian was dead.

The Sage surrendered his life,

foiling Ice Clan's conspiracy.

However,

it seems that Wu Xian can die and be reborn.

The Sage must still be in the mortal world

and his true identity holds a profound mystery.

I was careless.

It seems that Ice Clan

will surely rise again,

spreading chaos throughout Kongsang.

Your Highness,

you may have returned to the mortal world,

but no matter what happens in the future,

Jiuyi Mountain

is willing to be the sword and shield

in your hands.

If you have any requests,

we shall answer.

Now that I've left the Preceptor post

and experienced Tribulations of Hell,

I no longer have any face

to trouble all of you

and disturb the peace of this mountain.

In the remaining years of my life,

I only wish to protect Yunhuang

and stay true to my heart.

- The road ahead is long. - The road ahead is long.

Please take care of yourself, Your Highness.

Respected elders,

please take care as well.

Let me do you a favor.

I'm not a considerate master.

so it will be tough if you train under me.

I'm not afraid of hardships.

It will be lonely.

It won't.

In the past, there were only dead bodies in the valley.

You were alone.

But from now on,

I'll be keeping you company, Master.

So many things have happened here.

Right in this Cultivating Hall,

you took me as your disciple.

It's the most correct decision

I've made in my life.

It's also the luckiest thing

that has ever happened to me.

Chong Ming,

what are your plans for the future?

Are you willing

to join us on our journey?

No.

I'm the majestic divine bird

of Jiuyi Mountain,

guarding peace and serenity.

I can't simply leave my post and go down the mountain with you.

I'm not one irresponsible bird.

Xiaozhuzhu.

You're leaving tomorrow, right?

After you descend the mountain,

you must take good care of Xiaoyingzi,

understand?

Aren't you coming with us?

From the moment I first saw you,

I knew you would take Xiaoyingzi

away from me.

However, as long as he's happy,

then my wish

is also fulfilled.

What's there to cry about?

From now on,

if you dare to harm Xiaoyingzi one bit,

I'll fly…

I'll fly to Extreme Wind City and settle scores with you.

Do you hear me?

Yes.

Please take good care of yourself too.

We'll miss you.

What are you saying?

I'll always be your friend.

If you need anything,

remember to come to me for help.

Right.

Don't tell Xiaoyingzi that I cried.

It's too embarrassing.

Go down the mountain happily.

Don't tell Xiaoyingzi that I cried.

You're the most beautiful divine bird I've ever known.

We'll miss you.

Chong Ming--

You've been bothering us on the mountain for so long.

I've grown tired

of your icy demeanor

after all these years.

Besides,

you never listen to advice.

You don't even care about your own health.

I've become like an old woman,

nagging every day

that I got wrinkles from it.

Hurry and go down the mountain.

I've already--

All right.

You're a grown man.

Don't act so fussy.

I'm leaving now.

Don't miss me too much.

Shi Ying,

are you really not taking anything with you?

When I came to Jiuyi Mountain,

I had nothing.

So when I leave Jiuyi Mountain,

I should also leave with empty hands.

Jiuyi Mountain

has brought you to me

and we walk together side by side

in the mortal world.

I'm already content.

"After the infiltration of Yin energy,

it should be responded to spiritual power

and artifacts that correspond to Five Elements

within nine days

to protect the meridians

and preserve the senses."

Yan'er,

the nine-day period has passed.

This method is no longer effective.

It's all right.

I'm gradually getting used to it.

"If one misses the optimal timing,

they can only rely on their will and fate.

The desire of the heart

can surpass insurmountable obstacles.

Where the will is strongest,

even a withered tree can bloom in spring."

What does that mean?

If I'm not mistaken,

it suggests that the strongest desire in your heart

can break through

the barrier of energy from the realm in-between.

The strongest desire?

It's not the reality.

No wonder on that day,

when we were in the forest,

I sensed something.

That day with me?

Do you have any other wishes?

What I mean is,

perhaps we can use the same method

to help you regain your sense of taste and touch.

Other than that,

it seems there's nothing else.

I'm not saying that I want to…

No, that's not it.

I'm saying I only want to be with you…

No.

I'm not saying that I'm thinking…

Then what do you want the most?

I…

Yan'er,

what you desire in your heart

is also my heartfelt wish.

Yan'er,

rest assured.

I'll definitely help you

regain your senses.

It's all right.

I…

What I want the most now

is to return to Extreme Wind City

and see my parents.

They must be worried sick.

Perhaps I'll eat a serving

of Yanfeng Restaurant's boiled lamb

or smell the wind of Western Huang.

That should heal me.

Bai Fenglin,

you colluded with the Merfolk and leaked military intelligence.

Do you have anything to say in your defense?

I admit my guilt.

Bai Fenglin committed treason and betrayed the country.

His crime is unforgivable.

Throw him into the dungeon to be executed in autumn.

Bai Jing'an shall be stripped of his royal title

and be demoted to a commoner.

Bai Xuelu.

Your Majesty.

Xuelu is my future bride.

She may be Bai Fenglin's younger sister,

but she's not associated with him.

If she's implicated because of her clan,

I'm willing to take the punishment on her behalf.

Take the punishment on her behalf?

Are you willing

to be demoted

and imprisoned in her place?

Yes.

I'm willing to share

any punishment sentenced to Xuelu.

Very well.

I shall grant your request.

Bai Xuelu,

you acted with great righteousness,

not showing favoritism to your clan.

I hereby bestow you the title of White Queen.

I humbly accept your decree.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

I have another request.

Let's hear it.

I'd like to bring my mother's memorial tablet

back to Bai Residence.

Permission granted.

You may rise.

- Thank you, Your Majesty. - Thank you, Your Majesty.

Your Majesty,

as a guilty subject, I also wish to atone for my sins

and expose the traitors of the country.

It was my foolishness

and eagerness for redemption

that led to my tragic mistake.

However, there's someone…

No,

to be precise, an entire clan

that has colluded with the Merfolk

and even sheltered the Sea Emperor for 200 years.

The Crimson King, Zhu Gaozhao,

and Princess Zhu Yan

have committed heinous crimes deserving of extermination.

During the war,

I obtained the portrait of the Sea Emperor

from a captive of the Merfolk marine force.

We sent someone to Extreme Wind City

to confirm his identity.

The Sea Emperor

is none other than Zhi Yuan, the keeper of Crimson Residence.

For 200 years, he has been hiding within Crimson Residence,

having a close relationship with Princess Zhu Yan.

It's known to all in Western Huang.

The evidence and witnesses are abundant.

I urge you to thoroughly investigate

the relationship between the Merfolk marine force and Crimson clan.

We must not foster a threat within our midst.

EXTREME WIND CITY

Master, look.

Yan'er, look.

Yan'er,

you've lost so much weight.

Here.

This is your favorite milk pudding.

Eat more.

Thank you, Mother.

It's really delicious.

Mother, you made this, right?

Home is still the best.

I really wish

I can keep staying by your side

and eat the food you cook.

Silly girl.

Why are you saying such silly things?

Don't you want to get married?

Your Highness, please help yourself.

I don't deserve this, Your Highness.

Your Highness,

my daughter has been under your care for so many years.

This time, you even traveled

a long way to send her back here.

I'll drink this as a respect.

If you can't handle

the strong liquor of Western Huang,

I'll instruct them to serve tea instead.

No need to trouble yourself.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

I'll drink it.

Shi Ying isn't good at drinking.

Let me drink on his behalf.

Yan'er, what are you doing?

Yan'er, stop messing around.

I apologize on my daughter's behalf.

His Highness is a dignified prince.

How dare you address him by his name

and even snatch his drink?

That's too presumptuous.

Please have a seat, Crimson King.

It's my fortune that Yan'er helped me

out of a predicament.

She was not being presumptuous.

Please sit.

Yan'er and I share the same affection for each other

and have experienced life and death together.

Actually,

I've prepared a betrothal gift according to the customs of Crimson Clan.

Crimson King.

Crimson Consort.

I request that Yan'er be betrothed to me.

I do.

Your Highness.

Yan'er has been willful

because we've spoiled her too much in the past.

If she has done anything wrong,

please let us know.

We'll discipline her strictly

and make sure she changes all her bad habits before getting married.

Father.

Yan'er is fine just the way she is.

There's no need to change.

Yan'er

has been opposing

the arranged marriage we set for her.

As her mother,

I had my suspicions

that there must be someone

she deeply loves in her heart.

I never expected that person

to be Your Highness.

As parents,

our greatest wish

is for our daughter to be safe and happy.

We're willing to entrust Yan'er to you.

May you protect her for a lifetime.

I'm willing to be with Yan'er like Gong and Shang Stars,

unwavering in this love

and never apart in this lifetime.

I'm willing to be with Shi Ying like Gong and Shang Stars,

unwavering in this love

and never apart

in this lifetime.

You're the prince.

Don't we need to get approval

from His Majesty for our marriage?

As long as you agree,

no one can stop us from being together.

I wonder what our wedding feast

will be like.

As long as it's something you like,

I'll help you make it happen.

At that time,

I want to invite everyone in Extreme Wind City

to come and celebrate.

After all, they've watched me grow up.

All right.

I'll invite Xueying,

Shi Yu,

Qing Gang, and Xuelu.

They probably didn't expect

that we would get married before them.

It's their fault for being so slow.

Yes, it's their fault for being so slow.

We won't wait.

I'll also go to Yanfeng Restaurant

to discuss creating a menu that suits you

with Chef Wu.

It's time for him to bring out the 20-year-old Nu'erhong

he has been keeping.

Thank you for saving Sumo, God of Dragon.

Can you tell me when Sumo will awaken?

This child

is indeed the one you've been waiting for.

However, it's not the time for his awakening.

Once he returns to Biluo Sea,

I'll also enter a long period of hibernation

to wait for his awakening 70 years later.

When the Sea Emperor returns, the God of Dragon awakens.

When the God of Dragon awakens,

Biluo Sea will purge.

Unfortunately,

it's not the time

for the fate of the Merfolk to be fulfilled yet.

Zhi Yuan,

I've finally found happiness.

You'll wish me well,

right?

Zhi Yuan.

Did you send me your wishes

because you heard my voice?

Why is the Evil Star shining again?

Could it be that the Sea Emperor is still alive?

The Merfolk marine force may be complicated,

but you are still

the Sea Emperor they have waited 7,000 years for.

The Merfolk will naturally obey you.

What can't you do

if you set your mind to it?

Unless…

You are not the Sea Emperor.

Could it be that Zhi Yuan isn't the Sea Emperor?

He only schemed

to protect the true ruler of the Merfolk.

Step back.

Everyone, clear the way!

Drop your weapons!

What?

"Crimson Clan

betrayed the grace of the Emperor,

acted rebelliously and recklessly,

and colluded with the Merfolk marine force

to hide the Sea Emperor, Zhi Yuan, within the residence.

They are guilty of treason

and committed immeasurable crimes.

In the battle of Zhaoyun Crossing,

the traitor, Zhu Gaozhao of Crimson Clan,

together with his daughter, Zhu Yan,

conspired against Kongsang

and colluded with the Merfolk.

Such intention deserves to be punished.

Azure King, Qing Gang,

will escort all members of Crimson Residence

to Jialan into custody for further investigation.

By the order of the Emperor."

It's my fault

for implicating both of you.

It's true that Zhi Yuan once served

as a keeper in Crimson Residence,

but no one among our clansmen knew

of his identity as the Sea Emperor.

He returned to the Merfolk marine force

only after being expelled from here.

During his time in Extreme Wind City,

he had no contact with the Merfolk.

As for the incident at Zhaoyun Crossing,

it was my own decision.

It was unrelated to Crimson Clan.

If Zhi Yuan is indeed the Sea Emperor,

as the Crimson King, I can't shirk the blame.

Zhu Yan is young and naive.

She's deceived by wicked people.

Any blame or punishment

should fall solely on me.

Father.

What a loving father and filial daughter.

Unfortunately, this is a crime

that calls for the extermination of entire clans.

The imperial decree clearly states

that the entire Crimson Clan

must be taken into custody for investigation.

Guards.

- Yes. - Yes.

Arrest her.

- Yan'er. - Stop.

Your Highness.

Your Highness, why are you here?

You have no authority to pass any verdict

on behalf of His Majesty.

During their journey to Jialan,

they shouldn't be harmed.

Of course, Your Highness.

Crimson King and Consort, please rise.

Yan'er.

Yan'er,

I'll personally explain the truth to His Majesty.

Wait for me.

MEMORIAL TABLET OF LATE MOTHER, XIZHU

MEMORIAL TABLET OF LATE MOTHER, XIZHU

Mother,

I've brought you back to Bai Residence

in a dignified manner.

It's all right if that man doesn't acknowledge you.

From now on,

the descendants of White Clan will all pay their respects to you.

The father and son brought this upon themselves.

Their titles have been stripped off

and I have succeeded as White Queen.

I'll be taking over the army.

Please protect me from heaven.

Your Majesty.

Ying'er,

let me take a good look at you.

You have finally returned.

I have wronged you

and your mother.

Your Majesty,

I have come

to discuss the matter

of Crimson Residence.

Back then, you wronged me and my mother.

Now,

please don't make the same mistake

with Crimson Residence.

I already knew.

How could I not know that

the princess of Crimson Clan is someone you love?

You were willing to face

Tribulations of Hell for her.

However, the collusion between Crimson Clan and the Sea Emperor

has been widely discussed both inside and outside the court

and the evidence is overwhelming.

I can show leniency because of you,

but I can't spare the entire Crimson Clan.

Ying'er,

I promise

to spare

Zhu Yan's life alone.

Your Majesty,

do you think

everyone in the world

judges right from wrong

solely on emotions as you do?

If that was the case,

Zhu Yan wouldn't have to surrender herself.

With her current strength,

she could easily take everyone in Crimson Residence and flee.

Forget about the dungeon,

there are only a few in the entire Yunhuang

who can be her match.

The Merfolk leader, Zhi Yuan,

who was present during the siege of Ye City,

did serve as a keeper in Crimson Residence.

However,

he left Crimson Residence

before returning to the Merfolk.

Zhi Yuan has been attempting

to quell the conflict between the Kongsang Army

and the Merfolk marine force

and he was the one who signed the ceasefire agreement with me.

In the end,

he even sacrificed his life

for the sake of peace.

Ying'er,

these are only your words.

It will be hard to convince the mass.

Moreover,

your relationship with Zhu Yan

is very close.

I'm guilty,

but I'm willing to guarantee it with my life.

I'm only asking for a half-month period.

Your Highness, Princess Zhu Yan is here.

Yan'er,

you have suffered.

It's all right.

I'll personally explain to His Majesty

Zhi Yuan being the Sea Emperor.

If he insists on the punishment,

I'll bear it alone.

During the fight at Xinghaiyun Pleasure House,

Zhi Yuan had already made up his mind to sacrifice himself.

While I know he has a noble character,

I had a mission that day.

- I-- - I understand.

You and Zhi Yuan are the protectors of your own nations.

It's your responsibility.

At that time,

I oversimplified things.

However,

Zhi Yuan wasn't the Sea Emperor.

Look.

The Evil Star has appeared again.

And that day,

I mistakenly killed an innocent person.

Zhi Yuan wasn't the Sea Emperor?

Someone else is the Sea Emperor?

However, you no longer have any power now.

I won't go after

the Sea Emperor's life anymore.

Even one person's life

can be influenced by countless forces.

Let alone the fate of a country.

Yan'er,

according to the prophecy,

you're the cursed lady for me.

However, in the end,

you also saved me.

It shows

that everything is within our control.

You're right.

Since we were able to change destiny once,

then we can change it countless times.

With you by my side,

I fear nothing.

I refuse to believe that Kongsang and the Sea Kingdom

can't coexist peacefully.

I'm sure the person Zhi Yuan sacrificed himself to protect

isn't an evil person

who will cause bloodshed in Kongsang.

Yan'er,

I've obtained a half-month time from His Majesty.

Let's go to Cangwu Abyss to meet the God of Dragon.

Perhaps the God of Dragon can help us.

All right.

The two divine rings

are now under my control.

With the combined power of the dual rings,

I'll destroy the world!

I can use

the power of the world

to instantly annihilate

the entire Yunhuang.

I'll then

lead all of you

to establish a new Yunhuang

on this wasteland.

My lord, we pledge our lives to follow you.

In this lifetime,

without regrets or hesitations.

May this mountain and sea

be boundless.

In this lifetime,

without regrets or hesitations.

May this mountain and sea

be boundless.

In this lifetime,

without regrets or hesitations.

My lord,

has there been a flaw in our plan?

Dragon Soul Seal.

This is Dragon Soul Seal!

Darn you, Bai Wei!

You were worried the rings would fall into my hands,

so you cast a seal on Houtu Ring.

My lord, what should we do now?

Now,

we need the blood of the Sea Emperor

to break Dragon Soul Seal

and release its power to destroy the world.

Bai Wei thought the Sea Emperor was dead.

However, she didn't expect that after 7,000 years,

the Sea Emperor would appear in Kongsang.

Look at this.

The Evil Star is telling me

the whereabouts of the Sea Emperor.

No one can stop me

from destroying Yunhuang!

- Congratulations, my lord. - Congratulations, my lord.

God of Dragon,

Shi Ying and Zhu Yan of Kongsang request an audience.

How dare you come here again?

Aren't you afraid of death?

God of Dragon,

the Evil Star has reappeared in the night sky.

It means the Sea Emperor isn't dead

and is still within Kongsang's border.

Do you think you can threaten me with the Sea Emperor?

The Menghua Dynasty

will still perish in 70 years.

God of Dragon,

we didn't come here to uncover the truth about the Sea Emperor.

The incident of mistakenly killing Zhi Yuan

made me understand

that prophecies are nothing but hopes in people's hearts.

They can't determine the fate of a nation.

If the ruler is virtuous and wise, the country and its people will prosper.

No one can shake

the foundation of Kongsang at all.

If the ruler is corrupt and oppressive,

the people will suffer.

Even if it's not the Sea Emperor,

there will be others who rise in rebellion.

Since you didn't come for the Sea Emperor,

what do you seek?

God of Dragon,

nothing in this world

can escape your eyes.

You have long known everything

that Zhi Yuan sacrificed for the Merfolk.

Now he's accused

of colluding with Crimson Clan.

Neither Zhi Yuan nor Crimson Clan

should bear such accusations.

We seek the truth from you.

You have actually come

to ask me to save the people of Kongsang.

Seven thousand years ago,

Empress Bai Wei fought for the sake of the Sea Kingdom

and prevented the tragedy of the Merfolk's destruction.

Two hundred years ago,

Chizhu Feili advocated for a ceasefire

for someone she loved,

bringing peace between the two clans.

Just a month ago,

Zhi Yuan and Yan'er

risked their lives multiple times

to prevent the massacre of both clans.

The mountains and rivers of Yunhuang

nurture countless lives

and all things have spirits.

For thousands of years,

Kongsang and the Merfolk have had trade and friendly relations.

There's no distinction between us.

Therefore,

I implore you

to proclaim to the world

the innocence of Zhi Yuan and Crimson Clan.

Why don't you let

Zhi Yuan speak up for himself?

Zhi Yuan isn't dead yet.

How is that possible?

On that day at Xinghaiyun Pleasure House, I clearly…

Zhi Yuan isn't dead yet.

How is this possible?

The Sea Kingdom still needs him,

so I planted the Dragon's Breath

in him long ago.

Zhi Yuan.

That's why

even though you injured Zhi Yuan's essence

at Xinghaiyun Pleasure House,

he didn't perish

because of my Dragon's Breath.

Instead, he was transported to a safe place.

Where is he now?

The one who tied the knot must untie it.

It was the people of Kongsang

who caused him to fall into a deep sleep.

It's also you

who can awaken him.
