over the last quarter century

the Packers have been to the postseason just twice

it's okay um

I like to start by telling you why I wrote this song

in God's corner of paradise

we welcome you to telephone time where we fly

we're gonna head to some call

TT you're on the air

that's it

hey boy hey

hey boy come

on

yeah

oh man

it's okay it's okay it's okay girl

okay you got this no problem

come on she's okay okay

come on that's

a girl that's a good girl

hi

oh my

hey listen

you gotta quit shooting at that light cause you're scaring the heifers

I mean you hit it Johnny Mitchell

you're gonna get your little tail up there and fix it

and I really started the Haywards

a little bit left

when I was gonna go meet with some friends who are back in college

oh yeah college yeah

some people value formal education well

I'll tell you something

redneck tech is a fine education

like butchering cloud doctor resume

you know

you're smarter most you're more sad

nothing I'm not great for college education

gets you might be nice to travel or plastic

and shove it right in my throat

see the world experience something

I travel war travels don't count

we live in the middle of nowhere

war trials don't count we live in the middle and no way stop it

right now

you know who you sounded like

your mother and you wanna be a music Gypsy

and you wanna have a child out of wedlock you go right ahead

I'm warning

um I think Max needs some help

you know what you call about a mug of open before you go okay

get a little something

from a grandpa buck

farming wasn't a job

even a way of life

it was a sacred act

and from what he could tell

most of the problems for man

stem from the fact that he no longer had his hands in the dirt

or cheer for the Green Bay Packers

for him

it wasn't the frozen tundra

it was the garden of Eden where he was Adam

and with a rotating group of optimistic young farm hands

got to name the calves

Max Mckeeve art star Jerry Kramer Willie Davis

all after the 67 championship team

and the pigs one was named Edica for obvious reasons

no salesman could convince him to buy the newest

and Grace Equipment

would approve anything that actually mattered to him

I can do farming anymore

I was on my way out for some bigger dreams and just

squeezing Jerry Creamers teeth

you wanna get that no

I got it

shovel it gotta go

I have a thing on my face

yeah okay oh

yeah

girl

hey welcome to the manager seat and I wanna get dressed

oh you're worried I'm gonna cause him to have impure thoughts

so much sex so early in the morning

apple tree does your friend dad know where you're heading

he knows I'll be on later

well

give them the beans we gotta run

wait wait wait we gotta go

thank you so much have a good night

hey

is that my shift drink

you sure you're old enough

legal age where I grew up is deer camp

not too shabby for your first time

we should talk about some more shows

thanks yeah that would be awesome

I wanna be hey girl

wow

what

let's get the hell out of here

well sorry

but yeah right

you're starting like hell

woo

yeah

woo

your dad wouldn't have done

anything like this

no they care

they care if they understand

what was that about

where the hell you been

your grandma's in the barn you give her a hand

come here come on yeah

come on hey

come here

come on you know what's going on over there

if I hear yelling issues he's something he doesn't like on the radio

I wish you'd come in here give us a hand

now this one's having trouble taking

I just angle

huh that's good

it's good

I made some money at the show

it's wonderful

well you have telephone time starting to take special guests now

come on come on

there's so many people would love to hear you sing

yeah maybe when I'm 16

my hair's falling out

I see God smile when you sing

do

yeah yeah

talk to Cody today apparently

she's got some musicians staying up at her neighbor's cabin

up on the big lake filled somebody

I don't know Red Ride

Marie

Billy read yeah

that's it

really what is he doing up here

she said maybe you should stop by

say hello and maybe don't mention it to you know who

that's my girl I still remember throwing stones outside your room

waiting for you

recover things common

children will chill

didn't think they'd be

wherever I go on

like walleye storms we're going back to the line

TT you're right here

we welcome you to historic Rainbow Green Bay

Wisconsin as we get set to get off at the range

there's some falls in the air

take off the headphones this way

do you feel fuzzy

where we gotcha

cold break

water or horses

I'll do that later oh great

looks like I'm in the right car yesterday

you get up earlier next time

thank you so much to our wonderful choir for that beautiful song

I'm reminded of the words of Wendell Berry who wrote

All Goes Back to the earth

so I do not desire pride of excess or power

but the contentments made by men who had little fisherman silent

receding the grapes I gotta go shh

the guards talking truth up there

if you just listen kick off any second

come on

pulled long gone here

he's bound to take us into sermon No. 2 for girls

gotta go where the horses pauses orders I can't

make me think of darkness and wish for the dumb life of peace

hi Billy

uh Billy

hi

can I help you um hi

I'm Jenny I'm from a few farms over

Jenny Logan musician

yeah well

I'm not sure I love that description

but you already said you might be something by

you know if you like to fish

there's a crib just left the inlet and after sundown

it's a fishy cast

I don't I don't know why I'm talking about fishing so much

sounds nice

if I had time I definitely would

yeah not that makes sense

look I don't really get the opportunity to um

meet a lot of musicians around here

like real ones and so when Goldie told me that you might be down here

I just thought maybe I'd come down and introduce myself

and show you my work

that's good see

I like it

you got tape yeah

I mean it's homemade

I made it at the farm so we're outside

your phone

yeah

last night

I'm trying to like

I don't write with more

emphasis on natural elements

you know the earth

dirt soil

help silence my irrational thoughts

um my

my address and number on the back

so if you wanna stop by or something

no pressure I'll give a lift

oh yeah

thanks enjoy your night

fuck huh fuck yeah hey

thank you for replacing that water heater

you saved us a fortune

I just got tired of cold water coming out of Botox is all no

I mean it we appreciate that you're always helping out around here

just taking better care of things like the good book says

hey listen how can we schedule a hotlock on Gay day

anyway

run with the big dog she got to learn to take a whiz in the tall grass

hey it's embarrassed me losing your wife's boyfriend

got threatened by a man with a spare tire around his waist

nice one flying this Rosa

come on kitty smoking hot

let's go heard you're nice

I'll go for horses Bubby you're dead pass

oh sweet it's like I knew what I was missing

spaces trumpet dying should the moon music don't call me that

oh yes

the artiste whenever you're coming down telephone time playing for us

simple folks not gonna happen

I want to hear you before you become rich and famous no guarantee that

you don't have to make a lesson out of it

you're missing all the beauty around you well

it's tough to take advice from the losing team

uh you you guys hear about Sylvia

uh the banks close a lot of dirt

I don't know if they're gonna be able to keep their house

or if it goes to the farm alone

they've been dealt the yards to their death

you're a big buck

yeah I passed

the Packers aren't the only one that tackled

hey Jerry

what the hell are you doing taking pictures

I can see that why don't you take him somewhere else

oh can't

got an agro business interested in developing the place

what now oh

it would be a huge operation

they're gonna wanna tear all this down

and build a facility for 1,000 head

oh I think you forgot

I think you forget some of your

this ain't your land well

when you don't pay your loan

it becomes my land doesn't it

as much as you want it to farm

it doesn't look like it doesn't

children's books what the price of milk these days is

rise and fall Jerry

I mean hell

you don't change everything just to make it myself back up

about as likely as the Packers win the Super Bowl huh what was that

what about as likely as the Packers went in the Super Bowl

you going too far

whoa whoa

what are you doing but stand still I'm a little shaky

this is bad

but hold still you are incredible

I got PTSD you just assaulted me

I go crazy once over a football

I don't even know when it's gonna happen

it just hits me think I like doing this

tearing down the little guy Bucky

think I like him

well your license plate says hey hole

okay alright buck

I'll play

delinquency on personal loans is discretionary

you know what that means means I call the shots

but I will make a little wager with you

how about that the pack go all the way

I will give you another year interest free to get caught up

and if they lose

you either pay in full immediately or you sign everything over to me

everything livestock

the equipment and the house

take it

oh we've been pokes Jerry ah

shucks would have been fun

how much do we owe the bank

we're so far behind on payments

and how did we afford the New Holsteins

you wanna start doing the books

how much do we owe the bank

turn it back on

the ongoing farming laws continue

as no prices brought from the 8th grade weed today

causing a crisis among farmers

making it harder for them to make a profit and stay in business

the Packers played so well the whole game

it did everything but winning

the running statistics showing

the farmers and ranchers are among the most likely to die by suicide

wow

where are you heading

personal business

come on

hi oh

can I do for you

do you have a quick SEC sure

I'm Jenny I know who you are

what do you need Jenny

um

how can I get a different loan

like a personal one in my name so that I can pay off the farm

have you established any credit

um I will take that as a no

your grandpa owes a whole lot of money and frankly

you have no credit and he has no credibility

we're very credible people

you farm like it's the 1800s

he's trying to do right by the soil and the animals that maybe

but the bank goes by the number

the numbers don't tell the full story don't matter

there are a lot of ways to make more money with that land

we just need more time

and I'm finding ways to make more money

and milk prices are going to go up

we just need a little bit of Grace

when you're a little older

you'll understand Grace isn't how things work

you got your whole life ahead of you

if you're just a little less stubborn than the old man

you'll you'll be fine

hi honey

see your daughter like horses

it's a beautiful drawing

hey Pete

hey buck how she go

how's she going good

how about yourself good

ride them packers starting off hot a yeah

when I Mississippi man makes me want to swallow my britches sometimes

what can I do for you

well uh Pete you know I was uh wondering um

thinking about freeing up some cash and everything

and I was gonna sell it t w

30 and see if my beer is that's a nice track that you got there

yeah

but

I don't know I mean

with everybody struggling

there's no value in the equipment even you know

you know I could offer you a couple thousand

oh yeah

right now you know

she's worth 40 stacks no

she barely been used I mean

I don't mean to offend

well hey

thank you people

of course buck

and you see that underhand shovel pass Parker

you call that a pass

I don't know if I'd call that a pass

go easy

challenges I think we're starting to

really on Tuesday you mind turn that back on

all I look at is here anyway

I thought you're the only person

Wisconsin artist in the back

not well

say they're looking pretty tough

but

you know doesn't mean much I think that every year

so that gunshot thing

kinda ruins mornings

Johnny Mitchell sunny Sunday

it's a good song you should check it out

you're leaving

I don't know

how do you like working on a farm with no machines

I think Bucks way ahead of this time

I think he's blind to the fact that

family farms are on the endangered species list

I don't know but land is to be nurtured

intended to not just use the rule like a dictator

you drink Bucks poetic Kool Aid

yeah

you gotta make money though

you know yeah money

well you sure seem to be good at everything around here

are you flirting with me

I wouldn't dare

you got three game losers right now

you're my favorite of them all

yeah

I cry

hello there

you think you're doing old fool

well

now I'm just up here looking at the most beautiful thing in the county

you're starting to talk to me like your cows

yeah

now you get the sweet buns over here

yeah come on

yeah

oh yeah

oh yeah

all these years your kisses can still make me dizzy

what

tell Margaret I don't know

you still believe in one more girl

more than anything

he does too haha

go away haha

just be careful

huh nothing alright

fuck

Kenny just called what

she said Rosell left himself in the shed

he fought in the shed with a shotgun

rose it's fine

and Jimmy

hey

oh no

what's going on

rose

come on now hey

Pete

it's not your fault your farms on the fritz huh

I mean we're goose too

everybody's feeling the patches

it's just what's happening

um

do you remember when my mom died and you taught me a song to sing

when I'm sad you remember that

it got me through more times than you could know

as long as

it's okay it's okay

it's okay

are you okay come on

come on

he's got Jackie Harris the tight end at the 40 to the 3

he takes him to the house

touchdown Green Bay

what a difference the past three weeks to make

the Packers have turned things around their back in 500

who's to bet

it's not even sit in the house and watch over that entrance listen to

say it's an easy way to come easy don't teach you anything

their gift gifts are nice

but I can't don't learn anything on his birthday

so I can't eat his cake

since when is it acceptable just ignore problems around here

do just fine just liquidate paints it we don't need what about Brazo

everyone else is shutting down

we're betting folks

you never hear on 6 inches of toss oil and faculty rings

what the hell do you think you're doing

give me one reason not to put a hole in here for catalyst

just doing what I'm told man by who

not a liberty to see who gave you permission

woo

yeah

woo

ah crap

get out

come on hold it back I haven't touched my ring yeah

you good

yeah okay

come on

no no

Zack where are you going

girl hey be quiet

what can I do for you

you steal my county

you steal my library it's hard to steal what you already own

I can't pay you back if I don't have them

I can't give them back because you don't own them

I'm gonna take the bet

what yeah

I got a good feeling about to pack

and plus I need time to turn this thing around

I was I was half kidding

yep

take that as a down payment to what I owe you

never use the damn thing anyway

you better pray God is the pack of favor

oh shut up

today we're kicking off our series on waiting

those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength

take that in for a moment

wait

be patient

don't be rashful

and the Lord will have your back

and the Lord will heal you

yeah he will renew you

don't worry Paul goes back to the God he can give me a lift

let's go come on come on

you two look like a couple of green sailors in a windstorm

time winds down and the Packers drop back to 500

you get the gate closed

he had a bit to win

so we went all in on the pack and tried to run Lane

maybe young man and the guy upstairs

maybe you could tell him if I might need a little help

the Packers take the lead in the NFC North

as Michael Bridge shepherds this young team

or as a playoffs he tends his flock like a Shepherd

six seconds to go down by just two

it's all on the right leg of Chris Jackson

have you not heard

the Lord

gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak

even you feel tired and weary

here

we go

you fall off I get 10 bucks

eight seconds you go to the fish fry with me

and

young man stumbled

go baby go

on wings like eagles

Hallelujah

go back go

go back go go back go

I'll tell you something folks for the Packers the Jenner aging nicely

you're my buckle buddy Friday night alright

uh yeah

I mean you know

a lot of people think that maybe he's just kind of archaic

like the horses and hand looking and stuff that

my Grandpa Buck he's got a mind of his own

so it's not can we do it anymore

should we do it yeah

beautiful creatures

that's a Herb Atterley and Willie Davis first grade or star

I wanna take your tape and share with my manager

I was blown away and your ability to connect every day

Monday and work to the nature of eternity

that's Jenny

she's decided she's gonna change the course of her life you know

your your granddaughters

Billy yeah um

he's a smart businessman and

honestly an artist oh

hell like guys no artist

he moves too fast to experience anything

he give me that rag over there

I'm saying that might be a viable option

maybe we need to be more open minded

oh I think we just keep doing what we're doing

okay Jack

you guys can go with me

you can take fancy people

and fancy furs on the streets during Christmas

what is going on with her

we're here to help Yeager you know

just because I don't necessarily agree with you

doesn't mean I'm against you

it's like I'm losing Caroline all over again

you know it's funny how you think that only happen to you

but you lost her way before the accident

and you're gonna do the same thing with Jenny

if you don't get your shit together you are hot fish

let's pass the piece

I heard about the things

what thanks Jerry

you know he told the coffee guys down at Chewy's something about a tie

it was no tie I clearly won that round

look if you guys need help

I'm fine okay

alright okay I didn't mean it though

Mrs

and Marge will be cooped up with choir practice all afternoon and come

he's got a spot for me down at Wally's place

why don't you two play hugging

go tell game my spot

don't drinks it on me come on Bud

feel their strength let's take a break

take a break things break

rest is a commandment buck

three games away from the Super Bowl

ice cold pork slap in a bottle and a bargain

only $6 too easy on the bargains

boy I gotta pee

oh fancy

they have years

should we tell her that steams not come from any heater no

season for Green Bay has come down to this

Packers on the drive down 3

I'll tell you something folks

it doesn't get much better than this

this blessed season for Green Bay has come down to this

scrambles to his left

deep down the right

side

the Packers win the Packers win I gotta tell

you something folks

we are fooled about your opportunity

what Jim

that guy did Cody says she has this big meeting with his feet

she's going places dude

go back

standing there with his mouth hanging open like a lake trout

and I said if they don't have it

I don't need it

hey you better get that ladder down before it snows oh

mama's is gonna freeze out here

why don't you corral the furball I'll get the ladder

oh

chicken crap

my balls

sorry sorry Sir

Jenny Jenny

you gotta go

where's buck what you gotta go

so Margaret has suffered a severe head trauma

or monitoring her brain for swelling and internal bleeding

but it's too early to know much more right now

I can't do this without you

why don't you

why don't you go do the chores

what what

what what

any news

no

is she okay

Pastor's wife dropped off her lasagna last night

fridge can't even fit anymore casseroles

I saw a bug loading a wheelbarrow

something out to feed dick this morning

yeah I should check on them

hey

and stick and get some treats huh

are you gonna go to the hospital this evening

why didn't you tell me

what are you talking about

I'm talking about what Wally had to cover

which is your big meeting in the city

it's a short trip

and I gotta try I mean

even if the Packers win we can use the money

what about your grandma

she would want me to go would she

she would oh

you seem pretty sure of a lot of things

it's called hope

something I think we all can use a little bit of right now

oh you know what it sounds like from where I'm standing

sounds like ambition to me

and I've seen it a million times

you go chasing your hopes and your dreams

you go looking for that thing that's gonna fill

the emptiness inside of you

and pretty soon you lose all sense of rightness and goodness

and you forget who you are

where you came from

what you believe in

the worst part

is you remember

and you can't make it back

that's who we are Jenny

that's where we come from and where it ends up

and there is nothing worth the cause

losing everything that's wild and free

especially that farm

it's your farm

it's yours too

you know that no one cares about our little slice

nothing in the middle of nowhere

I do

I don't know why we keep doing this

because it's a right thing

you can't see that get the hell out and leave the case in the truck

I need it

all goes back to the earth

so I do not desire pride of excess or power

but the contentments made by men who have little

I like the peace of simple things

I am never holy in place

I find no peace

or Grace

welcome folks

to the big show over

the world champion of top seed

Dallas Cowboys against the young Green Bay Packers

I know I know

you're busy and everything

I guess other folks got problems I know

from an off change of doing anything

it's just kind of maybe pitching and helpful

so pretty

isn't it

I know you like it too

you must

I don't wanna lose that

I don't wanna lose that you know

I just need your help I think

we're getting ready get off here shortly

looking for answers

can find a way in there

hold on 1 sec

betchy and Jenny glad you can make it

hello

that EP Yours is great

heard you recorded it in a bar

yes thank you

um yeah

I mean I'm an engineer

this so looks like a spaceship to me

that Jenny Jenny hi oh

guys

this is Jenny it's Rick Stevie

what I tell you

honored to be here

how's the farm

um

uh it's

it's been a crazy week yeah

my grand our grand laws

Margaret absolute sweetheart

how's she doing

um she'd

she'd fall so no

I'm sorry

it's a wild place up there

last place to get hurt that's for sure

um

I'm really happy you're here

all right

so Jenny we wanna show you something

oh my God

uh well okay um

so me and Billy were talking and he's so inspired by your work

we were thinking well listen

I miss you

what do you think what what do you think

Jenny I wanna I wanna use your music

you you have

you have such

such an authentic voice in your writing and as a lyricist

and I think if I combine that with where I'm at right now

my performance and my following

I mean it

could be explosive really

it's a huge opportunity especially with an upcoming like Billy

I mean what do you think

I mean you didn't even

you didn't even ask

um surprised

I think it might be too precious

what is what's too precious

all of it

my uh

my

family my music my farm

I mean we put tons of thought and energy into this

I mean you

you just some nobody from the middle of nowhere yeah

it's somewhere to us Jenny

Jenny

sit sit down for a minute

gonna try to catch a game

Jenny come on

30 yard field goal to 10 here's the snip

he split the upright and the Packers jump out to literally three

nothing lead over the Cowboys let's go

need a ride

where's sky I told him I wouldn't come

well sorry nothing worked out for you

yeah there should have trusted a guy who was staying at a lake

but too busy to fish

you didn't even tell me you were leaving

I'm sorry

for everything

that's okay

you come in or what

it's freezing out here yeah that's the score

third quarter and here's fire throws back to throw again

looks the middle he fired

here's a defensive throw walks it on the left side of the end

zone Michael

Urban

it is good from 38 yards extending the Dallas league 27 to 10 man

hackers believe a higher miracle to pull this one out

time winding down on the clock

it is 4th and 6th and here's far

here's the ship

far the desperation moment looks for sharpie tip and intercepted

my goodness is prayer and the prayers of the entire Packers

they can go unanswered gosh

this one hurts they fought hard but just came up a little short

well that'll do it

and folks what a pleasure it has been for us to bring this season on

the Packers Radio Network

what a year it's been but this is just the start

can't wait till next year

what

what were you talking

easy

there are other things that we can do

you know I um

I'm sorry

I'm sorry

grandpa

fuck

morning sleepyhead

when you wake up

Scotty

what are you doing here

just bringing my girlfriend some flowers

do you think that God cares about all the things that we try to do

like it

just normal things

like like the package

yeah

well

maybe you know more than the Bears much as it paid me to say that

uh

I I

I I know I'm always joking about

you know you and buck on the fire

but there's a holiness about

how you guys

care for things

all right we're gonna be opening back up the lines

for special guests from this past season

I'm talking to open my TT style

ladies and gentlemen we love to have

what do you got to say

I worship

thank you

hey Bud

hi um this is Jenny Strong

hey not a word Jerry

okay boy

yep

let's go yep

yep

yep

yep

come on good boy good boy

I'm convinced the world's maintained by the quiet work of unnoticed

faithful people who choose to do the right thing

I think the world's full of them

but the right thing mostly never makes a lot of money

oh it's a trophy

in real life

miracles don't always arrive on time

good guy doesn't always win

and

you don't always get to keep your farm

and that's okay

but my grandpa

though he knows nothing about music

tell me harmony

balance

and cost from owls and cows and mice and swallows and thereafters

even the packers and the bears

how it all works together

um should I

should I start playing

yeah you know

we've actually been rolling so whenever you're ready

for the life fade out

I wanna tell you how I love you

well

folks I think we all have a little bit of wind in our eyes here

so yeah

good

hey I think Margaret wants to say Grace

yeah Lord

please take care of Margaret bring her back home

and

you know

thank you

amen

I don't know

I don't know how this works

Wanna check yeah

you play beautifully Jenny

just like your mother

I'm proud of you

who's gonna fix it

oh hell that Jerry's problem

and

hey I heard you on TT this morning

thought this could help go pack

stop it

look

heard you on the radio hope it helps you all go Packers

I hope this helps thank you so much

I don't know if God loves the Green Bay Packers

but it felt like he dressed in green and gold that day

and for a moment

seeing our whole world join the communal sense of awe

to smell the richness of the soil

and hear the whisper name of every living thing

it's never what you think initially that ends up mattering the most

even for a platinum record or a big corner office

I now never miss the chance to see the tundra thaw

the fat run and see spring come alive on this little chunk of dirt

I hope one day my children get to run through these wild fields

wild

go back 1 2 3

over the last quarter century

the Packers have been to the postseason just twice

it's okay um

I like to start by telling you why I wrote this song

in God's corner of paradise

we welcome you to telephone time where we fly

we're gonna head to some call

TT you're on the air

that's it

hey boy hey

hey boy come

on

yeah

oh man

what happened

hey little one

oh easy

easy hi sweetheart

wow

oh you're pretty easy

easy easy

good Lord how did you get in here

Max

what

Max

it's Max

Max again her cat is stuck

I never say anyone stuff this bad I need help

it's okay it's okay it's okay girl

okay you got this no problem

come on she's okay okay

come on that's

a girl that's a good girl

hi

oh my

hey listen

you gotta quit shooting at that light cause you're scaring the heifers

I mean you hit it Johnny Mitchell

you're gonna get your little tail up there and fix it

and I really started the Haywards

a little bit left

when I was gonna go meet with some friends who are back in college

oh yeah college yeah

some people value formal education well

I'll tell you something

redneck tech is a fine education

like butchering cloud doctor resume

you know

you're smarter most you're more sad

nothing I'm not great for college education

gets you might be nice to travel or plastic

and shove it right in my throat

see the world experience something

I travel war travels don't count

we live in the middle of nowhere

war trials don't count we live in the middle and no way stop it

right now

you know who you sounded like

your mother and you wanna be a music Gypsy

and you wanna have a child out of wedlock you go right ahead

I'm warning

um I think Max needs some help

you know what you call about a mug of open before you go okay

get a little something

from a grandpa buck

farming wasn't a job

even a way of life

it was a sacred act

and from what he could tell

most of the problems for man

stem from the fact that he no longer had his hands in the dirt

or cheer for the Green Bay Packers

for him

it wasn't the frozen tundra

it was the garden of Eden where he was Adam

and with a rotating group of optimistic young farm hands

got to name the calves

Max Mckeeve art star Jerry Kramer Willie Davis

all after the 67 championship team

and the pigs one was named Edica for obvious reasons

no salesman could convince him to buy the newest

and Grace Equipment

would approve anything that actually mattered to him

I can do farming anymore

I was on my way out for some bigger dreams and just

squeezing Jerry Creamers teeth

you wanna get that no

I got it

shovel it gotta go

I have a thing on my face

yeah okay oh

yeah

girl

hey welcome to the manager seat and I wanna get dressed

oh you're worried I'm gonna cause him to have impure thoughts

so much sex so early in the morning

apple tree does your friend dad know where you're heading

he knows I'll be on later

well

give them the beans we gotta run

wait wait wait we gotta go

thank you so much have a good night

hey

is that my shift drink

you sure you're old enough

legal age where I grew up is deer camp

not too shabby for your first time

we should talk about some more shows

thanks yeah that would be awesome

I wanna be hey girl

wow

what

let's get the hell out of here

well sorry

but yeah right

you're starting like hell

woo

yeah

woo

your dad wouldn't have done

anything like this

no they care

they care if they understand

what was that about

where the hell you been

your grandma's in the barn you give her a hand

come here come on yeah

come on hey

come here

come on you know what's going on over there

if I hear yelling issues he's something he doesn't like on the radio

I wish you'd come in here give us a hand

now this one's having trouble taking

I just angle

huh that's good

it's good

I made some money at the show

it's wonderful

well you have telephone time starting to take special guests now

come on come on

there's so many people would love to hear you sing

yeah maybe when I'm 16

my hair's falling out

I see God smile when you sing

do

yeah yeah

talk to Cody today apparently

she's got some musicians staying up at her neighbor's cabin

up on the big lake filled somebody

I don't know Red Ride

Marie

Billy read yeah

that's it

really what is he doing up here

she said maybe you should stop by

say hello and maybe don't mention it to you know who

that's my girl I still remember throwing stones outside your room

waiting for you

recover things common

children will chill

didn't think they'd be

wherever I go on

like walleye storms we're going back to the line

TT you're right here

we welcome you to historic Rainbow Green Bay

Wisconsin as we get set to get off at the range

there's some falls in the air

take off the headphones this way

do you feel fuzzy

where we gotcha

cold break

water or horses

I'll do that later oh great

looks like I'm in the right car yesterday

you get up earlier next time

thank you so much to our wonderful choir for that beautiful song

I'm reminded of the words of Wendell Berry who wrote

All Goes Back to the earth

so I do not desire pride of excess or power

but the contentments made by men who had little fisherman silent

receding the grapes I gotta go shh

the guards talking truth up there

if you just listen kick off any second

come on

pulled long gone here

he's bound to take us into sermon No. 2 for girls

gotta go where the horses pauses orders I can't

make me think of darkness and wish for the dumb life of peace

hi Billy

uh Billy

hi

can I help you um hi

I'm Jenny I'm from a few farms over

Jenny Logan musician

yeah well

I'm not sure I love that description

but you already said you might be something by

you know if you like to fish

there's a crib just left the inlet and after sundown

it's a fishy cast

I don't I don't know why I'm talking about fishing so much

sounds nice

if I had time I definitely would

yeah not that makes sense

look I don't really get the opportunity to um

meet a lot of musicians around here

like real ones and so when Goldie told me that you might be down here

I just thought maybe I'd come down and introduce myself

and show you my work

that's good see

I like it

you got tape yeah

I mean it's homemade

I made it at the farm so we're outside

your phone

yeah

last night

I'm trying to like

I don't write with more

emphasis on natural elements

you know the earth

dirt soil

help silence my irrational thoughts

um my

my address and number on the back

so if you wanna stop by or something

no pressure I'll give a lift

oh yeah

thanks enjoy your night

fuck huh fuck yeah hey

thank you for replacing that water heater

you saved us a fortune

I just got tired of cold water coming out of Botox is all no

I mean it we appreciate that you're always helping out around here

just taking better care of things like the good book says

hey listen how can we schedule a hotlock on Gay day

anyway

run with the big dog she got to learn to take a whiz in the tall grass

hey it's embarrassed me losing your wife's boyfriend

got threatened by a man with a spare tire around his waist

nice one flying this Rosa

come on kitty smoking hot

let's go heard you're nice

I'll go for horses Bubby you're dead pass

oh sweet it's like I knew what I was missing

spaces trumpet dying should the moon music don't call me that

oh yes

the artiste whenever you're coming down telephone time playing for us

simple folks not gonna happen

I want to hear you before you become rich and famous no guarantee that

you don't have to make a lesson out of it

you're missing all the beauty around you well

it's tough to take advice from the losing team

uh you you guys hear about Sylvia

uh the banks close a lot of dirt

I don't know if they're gonna be able to keep their house

or if it goes to the farm alone

they've been dealt the yards to their death

you're a big buck

yeah I passed

the Packers aren't the only one that tackled

hey Jerry

what the hell are you doing taking pictures

I can see that why don't you take him somewhere else

oh can't

got an agro business interested in developing the place

what now oh

it would be a huge operation

they're gonna wanna tear all this down

and build a facility for 1,000 head

oh I think you forgot

I think you forget some of your

this ain't your land well

when you don't pay your loan

it becomes my land doesn't it

as much as you want it to farm

it doesn't look like it doesn't

children's books what the price of milk these days is

rise and fall Jerry

I mean hell

you don't change everything just to make it myself back up

about as likely as the Packers win the Super Bowl huh what was that

what about as likely as the Packers went in the Super Bowl

you going too far

whoa whoa

what are you doing but stand still I'm a little shaky

this is bad

but hold still you are incredible

I got PTSD you just assaulted me

I go crazy once over a football

I don't even know when it's gonna happen

it just hits me think I like doing this

tearing down the little guy Bucky

think I like him

well your license plate says hey hole

okay alright buck

I'll play

delinquency on personal loans is discretionary

you know what that means means I call the shots

but I will make a little wager with you

how about that the pack go all the way

I will give you another year interest free to get caught up

and if they lose

you either pay in full immediately or you sign everything over to me

everything livestock

the equipment and the house

take it

oh we've been pokes Jerry ah

shucks would have been fun

how much do we owe the bank

we're so far behind on payments

and how did we afford the New Holsteins

you wanna start doing the books

how much do we owe the bank

turn it back on

the ongoing farming laws continue

as no prices brought from the 8th grade weed today

causing a crisis among farmers

making it harder for them to make a profit and stay in business

the Packers played so well the whole game

it did everything but winning

the running statistics showing

the farmers and ranchers are among the most likely to die by suicide

wow

where are you heading

personal business

come on

hi oh

can I do for you

do you have a quick SEC sure

I'm Jenny I know who you are

what do you need Jenny

um

how can I get a different loan

like a personal one in my name so that I can pay off the farm

have you established any credit

um I will take that as a no

your grandpa owes a whole lot of money and frankly

you have no credit and he has no credibility

we're very credible people

you farm like it's the 1800s

he's trying to do right by the soil and the animals that maybe

but the bank goes by the number

the numbers don't tell the full story don't matter

there are a lot of ways to make more money with that land

we just need more time

and I'm finding ways to make more money

and milk prices are going to go up

we just need a little bit of Grace

when you're a little older

you'll understand Grace isn't how things work

you got your whole life ahead of you

if you're just a little less stubborn than the old man

you'll you'll be fine

hi honey

see your daughter like horses

it's a beautiful drawing

hey Pete

hey buck how she go

how's she going good

how about yourself good

ride them packers starting off hot a yeah

when I Mississippi man makes me want to swallow my britches sometimes

what can I do for you

well uh Pete you know I was uh wondering um

thinking about freeing up some cash and everything

and I was gonna sell it t w

30 and see if my beer is that's a nice track that you got there

yeah

but

I don't know I mean

with everybody struggling

there's no value in the equipment even you know

you know I could offer you a couple thousand

oh yeah

right now you know

she's worth 40 stacks no

she barely been used I mean

I don't mean to offend

well hey

thank you people

of course buck

and you see that underhand shovel pass Parker

you call that a pass

I don't know if I'd call that a pass

go easy

challenges I think we're starting to

really on Tuesday you mind turn that back on

all I look at is here anyway

I thought you're the only person

Wisconsin artist in the back

not well

say they're looking pretty tough

but

you know doesn't mean much I think that every year

so that gunshot thing

kinda ruins mornings

Johnny Mitchell sunny Sunday

it's a good song you should check it out

you're leaving

I don't know

how do you like working on a farm with no machines

I think Bucks way ahead of this time

I think he's blind to the fact that

family farms are on the endangered species list

I don't know but land is to be nurtured

intended to not just use the rule like a dictator

you drink Bucks poetic Kool Aid

yeah

you gotta make money though

you know yeah money

well you sure seem to be good at everything around here

are you flirting with me

I wouldn't dare

you got three game losers right now

you're my favorite of them all

yeah

I cry

hello there

you think you're doing old fool

well

now I'm just up here looking at the most beautiful thing in the county

you're starting to talk to me like your cows

yeah

now you get the sweet buns over here

yeah come on

yeah

oh yeah

oh yeah

all these years your kisses can still make me dizzy

what

tell Margaret I don't know

you still believe in one more girl

more than anything

he does too haha

go away haha

just be careful

huh nothing alright

fuck

Kenny just called what

she said Rosell left himself in the shed

he fought in the shed with a shotgun

rose it's fine

and Jimmy

hey

oh no

what's going on

rose

come on now hey

Pete

it's not your fault your farms on the fritz huh

I mean we're goose too

everybody's feeling the patches

it's just what's happening

um

do you remember when my mom died and you taught me a song to sing

when I'm sad you remember that

it got me through more times than you could know

as long as

it's okay it's okay

it's okay

are you okay come on

come on

he's got Jackie Harris the tight end at the 40 to the 3

he takes him to the house

touchdown Green Bay

what a difference the past three weeks to make

the Packers have turned things around their back in 500

who's to bet

it's not even sit in the house and watch over that entrance listen to

say it's an easy way to come easy don't teach you anything

their gift gifts are nice

but I can't don't learn anything on his birthday

so I can't eat his cake

since when is it acceptable just ignore problems around here

do just fine just liquidate paints it we don't need what about Brazo

everyone else is shutting down

we're betting folks

you never hear on 6 inches of toss oil and faculty rings

what the hell do you think you're doing

give me one reason not to put a hole in here for catalyst

just doing what I'm told man by who

not a liberty to see who gave you permission

woo

yeah

woo

ah crap

get out

come on hold it back I haven't touched my ring yeah

you good

yeah okay

come on

no no

Zack where are you going

girl hey be quiet

what can I do for you

you steal my county

you steal my library it's hard to steal what you already own

I can't pay you back if I don't have them

I can't give them back because you don't own them

I'm gonna take the bet

what yeah

I got a good feeling about to pack

and plus I need time to turn this thing around

I was I was half kidding

yep

take that as a down payment to what I owe you

never use the damn thing anyway

you better pray God is the pack of favor

oh shut up

today we're kicking off our series on waiting

those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength

take that in for a moment

wait

be patient

don't be rashful

and the Lord will have your back

and the Lord will heal you

yeah he will renew you

don't worry Paul goes back to the God he can give me a lift

let's go come on come on

you two look like a couple of green sailors in a windstorm

time winds down and the Packers drop back to 500

you get the gate closed

he had a bit to win

so we went all in on the pack and tried to run Lane

maybe young man and the guy upstairs

maybe you could tell him if I might need a little help

the Packers take the lead in the NFC North

as Michael Bridge shepherds this young team

or as a playoffs he tends his flock like a Shepherd

six seconds to go down by just two

it's all on the right leg of Chris Jackson

have you not heard

the Lord

gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak

even you feel tired and weary

here

we go

you fall off I get 10 bucks

eight seconds you go to the fish fry with me

and

young man stumbled

go baby go

on wings like eagles

Hallelujah

go back go

go back go go back go

I'll tell you something folks for the Packers the Jenner aging nicely

you're my buckle buddy Friday night alright

alright

you won

let me get the door for you

I've never seen you without a hat my hair gets poofy

come on I'm gonna I'm gonna look like

I

I can fix this how you doing

um

good yeah

yeah yeah

nice to see you yeah hi hi

um

this place is magical

yeah thanks

uh yeah

I mean you know

a lot of people think that maybe he's just kind of archaic

like the horses and hand looking and stuff that

my Grandpa Buck he's got a mind of his own

so it's not can we do it anymore

should we do it yeah

beautiful creatures

that's a Herb Atterley and Willie Davis first grade or star

championship pals named after the 68 championship squad

go Packers you wanna check out the barn

yeah this is my domain wow

yeah amazing

oh thank you

and then

I wanna take your tape and share with my manager

I was blown away and your ability to connect every day

Monday and work to the nature of eternity

I mean you're beyond your ears

I can't make any promises

but I think there

there might be an opportunity in there for you

wow thank you

that um

that would be amazing

running around with the brains between their legs

the motif is illuminating

the one

the motif oh so it's illuminated is it absolutely

love it glad you like it

did I say something no

no no

good Lord

I

that's Jenny

she's decided she's gonna change the course of her life you know

your your granddaughters

she's really talented yeah

Billy yeah um

he's a smart businessman and

honestly an artist oh

hell like guys no artist

he moves too fast to experience anything

he give me that rag over there

I'm saying that might be a viable option

maybe we need to be more open minded

oh I think we just keep doing what we're doing

okay Jack

you're all fixed up boy

look what the heck you're burning in

there anyway you got Chris

he'll build up got a ton of it

for the Packers to stay alive the kick is up

yeah

since 1982 man what a special

hello

that that

that that would be awesome yes

yeah I

I will be there thank you so much thank you so much

what do you mean what do you think

what about I write an album about city love

you guys can go with me

you can take fancy people

and fancy furs on the streets during Christmas

what is going on with her

we're here to help Yeager you know

just because I don't necessarily agree with you

doesn't mean I'm against you

it's like I'm losing Caroline all over again

you know it's funny how you think that only happen to you

but you lost her way before the accident

and you're gonna do the same thing with Jenny

if you don't get your shit together you are hot fish

let's pass the piece

I heard about the things

what thanks Jerry

you know he told the coffee guys down at Chewy's something about a tie

it was no tie I clearly won that round

look if you guys need help

I'm fine okay

alright okay I didn't mean it though

Mrs

and Marge will be cooped up with choir practice all afternoon and come

he's got a spot for me down at Wally's place

why don't you two play hugging

go tell game my spot

don't drinks it on me come on Bud

feel their strength let's take a break

take a break things break

rest is a commandment buck

three games away from the Super Bowl

ice cold pork slap in a bottle and a bargain

only $6 too easy on the bargains

boy I gotta pee

oh fancy

they have years

should we tell her that steams not come from any heater no

season for Green Bay has come down to this

Packers on the drive down 3

I'll tell you something folks

it doesn't get much better than this

this blessed season for Green Bay has come down to this

scrambles to his left

deep down the right

side

the Packers win the Packers win I gotta tell

you something folks

we are fooled about your opportunity

what Jim

that guy did Cody says she has this big meeting with his feet

she's going places dude

go back

standing there with his mouth hanging open like a lake trout

and I said if they don't have it

I don't need it

hey you better get that ladder down before it snows oh

mama's is gonna freeze out here

why don't you corral the furball I'll get the ladder

oh

chicken crap

my balls

sorry sorry Sir

Jenny Jenny

you gotta go

where's buck what you gotta go

so Margaret has suffered a severe head trauma

or monitoring her brain for swelling and internal bleeding

but it's too early to know much more right now

I can't do this without you

why don't you

why don't you go do the chores

what what

what what

any news

no

is she okay

Pastor's wife dropped off her lasagna last night

fridge can't even fit anymore casseroles

I saw a bug loading a wheelbarrow

something out to feed dick this morning

yeah I should check on them

hey

and stick and get some treats huh

are you gonna go to the hospital this evening

why didn't you tell me

what are you talking about

I'm talking about what Wally had to cover

which is your big meeting in the city

it's a short trip

and I gotta try I mean

even if the Packers win we can use the money

what about your grandma

she would want me to go would she

she would oh

you seem pretty sure of a lot of things

it's called hope

something I think we all can use a little bit of right now

oh you know what it sounds like from where I'm standing

sounds like ambition to me

and I've seen it a million times

you go chasing your hopes and your dreams

you go looking for that thing that's gonna fill

the emptiness inside of you

and pretty soon you lose all sense of rightness and goodness

and you forget who you are

where you came from

what you believe in

the worst part

is you remember

and you can't make it back

that's who we are Jenny

that's where we come from and where it ends up

and there is nothing worth the cause

losing everything that's wild and free

especially that farm

it's your farm

it's yours too

you know that no one cares about our little slice

nothing in the middle of nowhere

I do

I don't know why we keep doing this

because it's a right thing

you can't see that get the hell out and leave the case in the truck

I need it

all goes back to the earth

so I do not desire pride of excess or power

but the contentments made by men who have little

I like the peace of simple things

I am never holy in place

I find no peace

or Grace

welcome folks

to the big show over

the world champion of top seed

Dallas Cowboys against the young Green Bay Packers

I know I know

you're busy and everything

I guess other folks got problems I know

from an off change of doing anything

it's just kind of maybe pitching and helpful

so pretty

isn't it

I know you like it too

you must

I don't wanna lose that

I don't wanna lose that you know

I just need your help I think

we're getting ready get off here shortly

looking for answers

can find a way in there

that EP Yours is great

heard you recorded it in a bar

yes thank you

um yeah

I mean I'm an engineer

this so looks like a spaceship to me

that Jenny Jenny hi oh

guys

this is Jenny it's Rick Stevie

what I tell you

honored to be here

how's the farm

um

uh it's

it's been a crazy week yeah

my grand our grand laws

Margaret absolute sweetheart

how's she doing

um she'd

she'd fall so no

I'm sorry

it's a wild place up there

last place to get hurt that's for sure

um

I'm really happy you're here

all right

so Jenny we wanna show you something

oh my God

uh well okay um

so me and Billy were talking and he's so inspired by your work

we were thinking well listen

I miss you

what do you think what what do you think

Jenny I wanna I wanna use your music

you you have

you have such

such an authentic voice in your writing and as a lyricist

and I think if I combine that with where I'm at right now

my performance and my following

I mean it

could be explosive really

it's a huge opportunity especially with an upcoming like Billy

I mean what do you think

I mean you didn't even

you didn't even ask

um surprised

I think it might be too precious

what is what's too precious

all of it

my uh

my

family my music my farm

I mean we put tons of thought and energy into this

I mean you

you just some nobody from the middle of nowhere yeah

it's somewhere to us Jenny

Jenny

sit sit down for a minute

gonna try to catch a game

Jenny come on

30 yard field goal to 10 here's the snip

he split the upright and the Packers jump out to literally three

nothing lead over the Cowboys let's go

need a ride

where's sky I told him I wouldn't come

well sorry nothing worked out for you

yeah there should have trusted a guy who was staying at a lake

but too busy to fish

you didn't even tell me you were leaving

I'm sorry

for everything

that's okay

you come in or what

it's freezing out here yeah that's the score

third quarter and here's fire throws back to throw again

looks the middle he fired

here's a defensive throw walks it on the left side of the end

zone Michael

Urban

it is good from 38 yards extending the Dallas league 27 to 10 man

hackers believe a higher miracle to pull this one out

time winding down on the clock

it is 4th and 6th and here's far

here's the ship

far the desperation moment looks for sharpie tip and intercepted

my goodness is prayer and the prayers of the entire Packers

they can go unanswered gosh

this one hurts they fought hard but just came up a little short

well that'll do it

and folks what a pleasure it has been for us to bring this season on

the Packers Radio Network

what a year it's been but this is just the start

can't wait till next year

what

what were you talking

easy

there are other things that we can do

you know I um

I'm sorry

I'm sorry

grandpa

fuck

morning sleepyhead

when you wake up

Scotty

what are you doing here

just bringing my girlfriend some flowers

do you think that God cares about all the things that we try to do

like it

just normal things

like like the package

yeah

well

maybe you know more than the Bears much as it paid me to say that

uh

I I

I I know I'm always joking about

you know you and buck on the fire

but there's a holiness about

how you guys

care for things

all right we're gonna be opening back up the lines

for special guests from this past season

I'm talking to open my TT style

ladies and gentlemen we love to have

what do you got to say

I worship

thank you

hey Bud

hi um this is Jenny Strong

hey not a word Jerry

okay boy

yep

let's go yep

yep

yep

yep

come on good boy good boy

I'm convinced the world's maintained by the quiet work of unnoticed

faithful people who choose to do the right thing

I think the world's full of them

but the right thing mostly never makes a lot of money

oh it's a trophy

in real life

miracles don't always arrive on time

good guy doesn't always win

and

you don't always get to keep your farm

and that's okay

but my grandpa

though he knows nothing about music

tell me harmony

balance

and cost from owls and cows and mice and swallows and thereafters

even the packers and the bears

how it all works together

um should I

should I start playing

yeah you know

we've actually been rolling so whenever you're ready

for the life fade out

I wanna tell you how I love you

well

folks I think we all have a little bit of wind in our eyes here

so yeah

good

hey I think Margaret wants to say Grace

yeah Lord

please take care of Margaret bring her back home

and

you know

thank you

amen

I don't know

I don't know how this works

Wanna check yeah

you play beautifully Jenny

just like your mother

I'm proud of you

who's gonna fix it

oh hell that Jerry's problem

and

hey I heard you on TT this morning

thought this could help go pack

stop it

look

heard you on the radio hope it helps you all go Packers

I hope this helps thank you so much

I don't know if God loves the Green Bay Packers

but it felt like he dressed in green and gold that day

and for a moment

seeing our whole world join the communal sense of awe

to smell the richness of the soil

and hear the whisper name of every living thing

it's never what you think initially that ends up mattering the most

even for a platinum record or a big corner office

I now never miss the chance to see the tundra thaw

the fat run and see spring come alive on this little chunk of dirt

I hope one day my children get to run through these wild fields

wild

go back 1 2 3
