=Episode 13=

Isn't she Xuan Lie's maid?

Why is she still with you?

I belong to Miss Qiluo,

not the general.

No matter what happens,

I'll stay by Miss Qiluo's side.

What a failure Xuan Lie is.

He couldn't even keep a maid.

Let's talk business.

In the next two matches,

we can't afford to lose.

Miss Qiluo, you've seen the environment,

so it'd be a great help if you could

help my father win the match.

What about your promise to me?

How's it going?

Don't worry.

The mine has been repaired.

Tomorrow, the first batch of black iron crystals

will be shipped to Yannan.

How about the trade pact?

It needs your father's official seal.

My father's official seal?

Then I'll need to report this to my father.

I see.

Then there's no need to trouble you.

I thought you were the future heir of the Xi Clan,

but I didn't expect

you can't even control a mine.

That's not what I meant.

It's just a mine. I can decide on it.

As for the official seal,

I'll find a way.

Mr. Xi,

the terrain here is complicated.

Why not set traps early here

while exploring the terrain?

You can lay sharp blades here.

Once Xuan Lie and Luo Zhizhou get here,

you could easily

win the match, right?

I understand.

If we set spike traps underground,

when the Xuan and Luo are here,

their horses will surely get injured.

Miss Qiluo, you're quite the strategist.

I never thought of such a weapon

to resist the enemy.

Miss Qiluo, your hair is messy.

Why is Qiluo...?

General Lie,

how could you just watch Qiluo

stand with Xi Mo?

Whoever she sides with now

has nothing to do with me.

Qiluo, come here.

I have something to ask you.

Zhaomin,

Miss Qiluo is now mine.

If you want to take her,

you need my permission first, right?

Do I need your permission to speak to Qiluo?

- Who are you? - I...

Your time with the terrain is running out.

You should go and prepare.

Don't worry.

I'll get it done tonight.

There are many animal traps here.

You should be careful.

Thanks for the reminder.

Qiluo,

you've seen their methods.

You can't be sincerely siding with them, right?

Zhaomin,

I'm doing this willingly.

Why?

In this world,

there are no absolute enemies or friends.

Do you remember the fragrant stone

I asked you and Mr. Sun for?

Does the Xi Clan have it?

Yes.

So, I have to make this deal

with the Xi Clan.

But

is a business deal

more important than a friendship?

Qiluo,

I don't believe you'd do this.

I've said what I needed to say.

You can choose to believe it or not.

No matter what happens,

I'll still consider you a friend.

I'm not interested in a friend as unctuous as you.

Good for Jun Qiluo.

Yesterday, she was still with Lie,

and today, she's joined the Xi Clan.

Qingming,

what is it about someone

as unctuous as her that makes you so loyal to her?

The Queen Mother is here.

Greetings, Mother.

Qingkou,

I had people prepare your favorite roasted lamb.

Will you join me for a meal today?

Mother, have a seat.

Please, sit.

Sit down.

Qingkou,

you haven't had a meal with me in a long time.

Today there's no match,

and you have nothing to do.

You should spend time with me.

Yes, Mother.

How poor my memory is.

I forgot to bring the few jars of good wine

I had prepared.

Take him to fetch two jars.

Make sure you take the best aged wine.

Yes.

Let's go.

Mother.

It's fine.

Let's go.

(Wine)

The wine the Queen Mother brought is inside.

Go in.

The Queen Mother has instructed.

Handle it carefully.

Young Master, it's all been checked.

Everything is ready.

Let's go back to the camp.

General Lie.

General Lie.

This is what I carefully selected.

I want you to have it.

Thank you, Princess, but I can't accept it.

General Lie,

my mother says that if a woman likes a man,

she should give him a sachet.

Though I didn't make this one,

I found out

that you don't like

strong scents.

This is jasmine fragrance,

light and elegant.

Since you'll be competing soon,

this sachet will also bring you peace and good luck.

General Lie,

do you like it?

Thank you for the kind gesture.

General Lie,

don't you like it?

Please stay, Princess.

The young master doesn't need this girly thing.

General Lie,

what do you really want?

Emeralds and gemstones?

Or should I change the color of the sachet?

How about red?

I want the black iron crystal mine.

The black iron crystal mine?

Why do you want that?

I see.

General Lie,

you want to punish

that Yannan girl, right?

Yannan people are so petty,

betraying you

over a small deal.

- Don't worry... - Princess,

I don't need it.

General Lie,

I have genuine feelings for you.

This is a small gesture from me.

My Lady,

is it really impossible for you and General Lie?

I don't think Mr. Xi is someone who can help you.

Are you really going to side with the Xi Clan?

My relationship with the general has always been one of mutual benefit.

Since he can't give me what I want,

I naturally have to find a better option.

A wise bird chooses the best tree to perch on.

I always thought

the general would eventually marry you.

Isn't he more suited to the Princess of the Xi Clan?

Dongyin.

Endure it.

Does it hurt?

No.

I don't think you can walk now.

I'll carry you back.

No, My Lady.

Give me your hand.

My Lady, I'm just a servant.

You can't do this.

Stop talking. Give me your hand.

- This... - I'll take you back for treatment.

How could you get caught in a beast trap?

Just now, Xi Mo said

there are many traps here.

You need to be extra cautious.

Do you want me to see the Princess like this,

or will you send the wine back yourself?

Luckily, it didn't injure the bones.

You're different from other women.

You're bleeding due to the beast trap,

but you're so quiet.

I'm just a servant

with thick skin.

This small injury doesn't hurt.

My Lady, I'm your servant.

You can't treat me like this.

I...

Don't say that again.

You've taken good care of me,

so I'll treat you the same way.

You know I don't regard you as a servant.

Good.

Stay here and don't move.

I'll go get more medicine.

Luo Qi.

Young Master.

How are you?

Don't worry, Young Master.

I'm strong and healthy. I'm fine.

By the way,

Young Master,

I received this from the spies in Yannan

a few days ago before I got injured.

Jun Feifan is not in Qian City,

and he didn't go to Execution Valley

to exchange for Miss Jun as agreed.

Only the butler, Ling,

received the Xixiang caravan with Jun Feifan.

The caravan left immediately after.

Since then, no one has seen Jun Feifan

who once appeared in the Royal Capital.

Also, Young Master,

the letter says that Jun Chengliu recently

hired a private Armed Escort.

A private Armed Escort?

Are they also looking for Jun Feifan?

Jun Feifan is really cunning.

He left no trace behind.

Young Master,

should we test Miss Jun again?

Young Master,

did you really have a fight with Miss Jun?

Though Miss Jun is smart,

she doesn't understand the situation.

How could she join the Xi Clan

in front of so many people?

- You even went into the woods... - Stop.

Don't mention that name again.

What are you doing?

Eat your meal properly.

Mother,

why hasn't the wine come yet?

Don't rush.

This was your favorite dish when you were a child.

Eat some first.

Queen Mother,

he's gone.

What?

Are you off to play again?

I'm going to find Qingming.

Just stay here.

You can't go anywhere.

How dare you!

What are you doing?

Qingkou.

What's wrong?

Qingkou, I'm your mother.

Why?

Why do you have to eliminate

everyone around me?

What did I do wrong?

Go bring Xuan Lie here.

Hurry!

Yes.

Your Majesty.

Qingkou usually listens to you.

Please help me.

Qingkou.

Qingkou.

It's me.

Lie.

Mother has killed someone again.

She killed my Qingming.

Ever since I was a child, Mother has destroyed

everything I liked.

Qingming has great martial skills. He should be fine.

Let me find him for you, okay?

Is that true?

I never lie to you, right?

Right.

You've never lied to me.

You will help me find Qingming, right?

You rest for now.

I promise he'll appear soon.

Okay?

Lie,

you must bring

Qingming back safely.

Don't worry.

Your Majesty, don't worry.

Qingkou is fine.

Why is she so concerned about that servant?

Why does she keep blaming me?

Don't worry about it, Your Majesty.

I only have this wooden ball.

Can you return it to me?

- Go and play. - Yi.

Mother.

Greetings, Your Ladyship.

Yi is being unreasonable.

Please forgive him, Mr. Luo.

It's okay.

Your Ladyship, it's getting late.

It's cold outside. Let's head back.

Mother,

let me play for just a little longer.

Just a little.

Alright.

But it's chilly at night.

How about you

put on an extra coat before playing, okay?

Alright.

Xin.

Yes.

Let's go.

When we were in the Palace,

I didn't dare to let him play like this,

lest he'd offend other Princes and get punished.

I forgot.

Congrats on winning the first match.

It's the coldest days of winter now.

Your old illness might act up again.

There are two more matches to go.

Make sure to take care of yourself.

Don't worry.

I'll be careful

in the upcoming matches.

can I support Yi

and even exchange military power

for your freedom.

Father,

Qiluo really wants to side with us.

It's because of her

that Luo Qi got shot

and Xuan Lie lost the first match.

And the trap set in the woods yesterday.

She joined us in front of everyone

and even offered strategies for me.

Why don't you trust her?

This woman is full of tricks.

Whether she's sincere or not,

it's not for you to decide.

Miss Qiluo has arrived.

My Lord, what can I do for you?

Miss Jun, please sit.

You've been working for us.

I should've thanked you properly long ago.

For the upcoming matches,

you'll need to put in even more effort.

I'm just offering a small bit of help.

The key to victory is

the unity between you and your son.

We can't be sure if we can win.

But there's something more important than this.

If you can do this,

I'll certainly thank you properly.

Since you've pledged allegiance to our clan,

why not help me kill Xuan Lie?

Xuan Lie destroyed your caravan in the Uncontrollable.

It's only right

you kill him

and avenge your caravan.

But I'm just a merchant

without power or influence.

I can't hurt him in the slightest.

Don't worry, Miss Jun.

Miss Jun, you don't need to worry.

I've made thorough plans.

Since you've planned everything,

I'll find a chance to do it today.

No need to wait for a chance.

Today, I've arranged for Xuan Lie to come.

You only need

to serve him this wine.

Young Master, the Xi Leader invites you to his tent.

The Xi and Xuan have always been at odds.

He must have ill intentions

Young Master,

I'll go with you.

Rest well.

Xi Changkun must be doing this

because of Qiluo.

Perfect time for me to take things back.

Once Xuan Lie is dead,

the position of Wolf Lord will be mine.

Then all of Beixuan will be ours.

Then you can have as many stones

as you want.

That sounds great.

Let's proceed according to your plan.

General Lie is here.

General Lie.

Mr. Xi, what do you want from me?

Please sit.

You've long desired the black iron crystal mine.

I invited you today

to discuss this.

What makes you change your mind

and decide to transfer the mine to me?

General Lie, don't rush.

Fill the general's wine first.

General Lie.

Please drink it.

Can I understand this

as that by drinking this,

there will be no further ties between us?

Even if you don't drink it,

we can never go back to how we were.

So whether I drink it or not

doesn't matter at all.

If you insist on this

being a drink to sever ties,

then so be it.

Father,

this woman is full of tricks.

You can't give her the crystals.

Xiu, I told you not to meddle.

What are you two doing here?

- Leave. - Let's go.

I know you came to our clan

for the black iron crystals.

But let me be honest.

The black iron crystals mine

is no longer ours.

How could the mine no longer belong to us?

Father,

this transfer document

carries your private seal.

So now, the mine

belongs to General Lie.

I've seen through your little scheme.

A business transfer needs my official seal.

A commercial seal is of no use.

This transfer document

is nothing but waste paper.

Luckily, I went back to the Annexe.

What did you say?

I've done business with you before.

Last night, I hastened back

to the Annexe in the Royal City.

It took me a lot of effort.

Father, you hid your official seal...

Shut up.

Mr. Xi, don't worry.

My family has offered a generous profit.

This is beneficial to both sides.

General Lie,

I didn't know the private seal was useless.

Since I've broken my word to you,

then I'll drink this wine

on your behalf.

General Lie.

Xuan Lie, what are you doing?

Mr. Xi wanted to poison me first.

Mr. Xi,

any explanations?

It was me who poisoned you.

It has nothing to do with Mr. Xi.

Yes, it was her idea.

It has nothing to do with Father.

I called you here to discuss the mine issue.

General Lie,

for the harmony of the Five Clans,

you should not point a knife at me.

and started doing business with the Juns.

I didn't expect Xiu to come.

Earlier, you said to the general that you two could return to the past

whether he accepted the wine or not.

It seems like you were

reminding Xuan Lie that this wine

should not be drunk.

Mr. Xi, stop playing dumb.

Everyone knows that the Xi and Xuan

have been competing for years,

and now you're at a standstill over the mine.

But you suddenly invited Xuan Lie to your tent.

It's hard for him not to be suspicious.

So, whether that wine was poisoned or not,

Xuan Lie wouldn't have accepted it.

Your intention

was simply to test me

to see if I'd hand him the drink.

You really enjoy studying people's hearts.

Mr. Xi,

do you think my performance today

that I am truly loyal?

Father,
