=Episode 9=

Are you injured?

I'm fine.

Come on.

Come on.

You're injured.

It's nothing serious.

The exit is blocked.

We'll have to find another way out.

Come on.

What? Is your foot hurt?

I'm fine. I can walk.

Get on. I'll carry you.

You've been injured. I can walk on my own.

Jun Qiluo.

Or should I call you Jun Feifan?

Don't make me say it again.

Get on.

Young Master.

Come on. Move the rocks.

Move the rocks.

Let's go.

Report today's explosion to the King first.

Then ask him to seal this place off

and remove bomb sites.

Remember:

No one is allowed to enter, except for you.

Young Master,

the Xi...

With the King's decree,

Xi Changkun won't say anything.

Yes.

Young Master, I heard the mine exploded.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

What is this?

Look.

Young Master.

This is the latest intel from the spies in Yannan.

This is a portrait of Jun Feifan.

When I first opened it,

I thought he looked a lot like Miss Jun.

But actually, he's not.

Get to the point.

The man in this portrait

has a brown mole at the corner of his eye.

The scout also reported

that Jun Feifan appeared at his home in Yannan.

After meeting with the Xixiang caravan,

he went directly to Qian City.

But Jun Feifan is quite handsome.

They're truly siblings.

General, are you here

to ask me if I'm Jun Feifan?

Are you?

I wish I were.

Then I could come and go freely,

instead of spending years in Qian City recovering,

with no one caring for me.

I could only wait until I recovered

so I could beg Feifan to take me along on his trips.

See?

I've been out for so long,

but none of my family is looking for me.

They wouldn't do this if Feifan was missing.

I'm so different from Feifan.

How could you suspect I'm Jun Feifan?

I was just asking.

Let's go back.

Come on.

Thank you, General.

The King and Queen Mother are here.

- Yu. - Your Majesty.

- Mother. - What's going on?

Yu.

How is Yu?

Mother.

The imperial physician says he was overly frightened

so he needs some time to rest.

My King,

have you found out what's behind this?

Luo Zhizhou has investigated this.

There were too many people at the horse ranch,

so the horse went wild out of scare

and frightened Yu.

I've dealt

with the rider responsible.

In a few days, it'll be the Hunting Event.

I had planned to take the Queen

and Yu with me,

but now it seems

Yu is likely

to be afraid of horses.

King,

Yu has always been brave.

He wouldn't become timid

just because of one shock.

These days, he's been insisting on going to the event.

There will be plenty of chances to play.

For now, you should take care of Yu.

That's the priority now.

When he's recovered,

there will be plenty of time for riding and archery.

Mother.

Just listen to the King.

Stay in the Palace and take care of Yu.

Yes, Mother.

(Xuan Mansion)

I'll bring you some medicine tonight.

Thank you.

General, you should rest and heal as well.

It's dangerous all the way

from Yannan to Beixuan.

We nearly died several times.

Looks like I must complete

the pact with you

and return home asap.

Lie.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Lie.

Qimin.

Qimin, you're still alive.

I thought you...

Why are you dressed like this?

This is a long story.

We'll talk about it later.

Running around again?

How many times have I told you?

I was looking for you.

It's him.

Who are you?

Stay away from my slave.

Slave?

Qingkou,

don't be rude.

Lie,

though I didn't find you this time,

I won a slave during my trip.

Look.

How do you like my slave?

Did you hurt his face?

He was so handsome

that he almost got sold as a gigolo.

I was saving him, not hurting him.

Right?

Lie, do you think my whip skills have improved?

Should I show you now?

Qingkou,

stop messing around.

I'm not messing around.

Qingming.

Why aren't you talking to me?

Don't ignore me just because of Lie's slave.

Qingkou,

Miss Jun is not a slave.

She's my honored guest.

Greetings, Your Highness.

I'm Jun Qiluo, a merchant from Yannan.

Lie,

did you two...?

How else could a Yannan merchant girl

become your honored guest?

Miss Jun saved my life,

so of course, she's my honored guest.

You saved Lie's life?

Well,

then you are also my honored guest.

How generous of you.

I have one more request.

I hope you'll grant it.

Tell me.

First, thank you for saving Qimin's life.

This person with you

is the Juns' guard, Shao Qimin.

We were separated not long ago.

He's not a slave.

Princess, I hope you can release him.

I just said

Qingming is my slave.

Even if you are Lie's honored guest,

you still can't take him away.

Are you challenging me?

May I ask how shall we proceed?

Mount Li's hunting ground has the most wolves.

How about a wolf hunt?

If you win,

he'll be yours.

Fine.

Qingkou, stop messing around.

Lie,

this is a game between the ladies.

You can't interfere.

Miss Jun's leg was hurt.

I'm sure you don't want to win by unfair means.

Why don't you rest for one day

and start the game tomorrow?

Alright.

I never take advantage of other.

So, we'll go to Mount Li's

hunting ground tomorrow to settle this.

Alright.

You've traveled a long way.

You should rest now.

Don't make the King worry.

Let's go. I'll show you my palace.

Why are you stopping me?

If the contest is delayed, Qimin will suffer more.

You're the Zhuge Liang of women,

so you're naturally much smarter than her,

but Qingkou grew up on horseback.

Can you beat her?

How would you know I can't win before the contest?

No matter what,

I must rescue Qimin asap.

My Lady,

you are so kind to your servants.

Qimin is not a servant.

He grew up in my family.

He's like family to me.

I brought him out

but didn't protect him well,

letting him fall into this state.

It's my fault.

My Lady,

if you win the game tomorrow,

he'll be able to return to your side.

Qingkou is a Princess.

Even if I win,

she may not keep her promise.

We still have the general.

He'll definitely help you.

The general?

He'll only help the Princess.

How could he help me?

My Lady, you're overthinking it.

Look.

The general knows you're not used to the food here,

so he had Luo Qi

find chefs from Yannan to cook for you.

He also sent the He caravan to the Uncontrollable

to buy Yannan spices for you.

The general comes from a military background

and doesn't care about living conditions,

but he doesn't neglect yours.

This shows how much the general cares for you.

The general also knows

that Yannan food is small and delicate,

while Beixuan uses large plates,

so he found many delicate bowls and plates.

The cheese is even made in bite-sized pieces.

I've noticed how the general

is attentive to you.

He may have ulterior motives.

My Lady, you can test him a little.

The Princess is the King's only sister.

No one in Beixuan dares to offend her,

but the general's words

still mean something to her.

My Lady, if you're worried,

just talk to the general.

However unreasonable the Princess was,

he refused to leave.

Now I understand.

The reason he followed the Princess back to the Royal City

is to bring back Qi...

Miss Qiluo.

Without my permission,

no one could take her away.

But Young Master,

in order to have Miss Jun

draw out Jun Feifan,

we must rescue

this slave.

What do you think

their relationship is?

What relationship?

He's just his guard.

He just called her My Lady.

Did you hear that?

Yes.

Young Master,

are you displeased?

What I mean is

he called her Mr. Qi Luo in the Uncontrollable.

You're still pondering this?

Miss Jun was pretending to be Jun Feifan.

Of course, the caravan would help cover it up,

let alone her personal guard.

And Jun Feifan

has appeared in Yannan.

What's there to doubt?

Miss Jun is the eldest daughter of the Jun family.

Send a message to Jun Feifan.

If he cares for his sister's safety,

he should hurry to the Execution Valley of the Uncontrollable.

But it's rumored that Jun Feifan is very cautious,

so he probably won't take risks for Miss Qiluo.

Let's confirm Jun Feifan's identity first.

Then we can capture him.

I didn't get the chance to ask the young master.

When did Mr. Qi Luo

become Miss Qiluo?

Well, you don't know this.

Miss Jun disguised herself as a man.

Her real identity

is Jun Qiluo of the Jun family.

Slow down.

Mother, this horse is too slow.

It's not as good to ride as the one a few days ago.

Your Majesty,

Prince Yi is making such a noise.

Shall I go tell him off?

Greetings, Your Ladyship.

Prince Yi.

Please be quiet.

- Yi. - Your Ladyship.

Prince Yu was frightened by the horse.

He's still terrified,

but Prince Yi is making such a noise.

He may disturb Prince Yu.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Greetings, Father.

Your Majesty,

Yi didn't mean to disturb Prince Yu.

He was so happy after riding the horse days ago,

so he kept asking to ride again.

That's why I thought of this idea.

Father, don't blame Mother.

I asked Mother to play with me.

In that case,

Yi should go to the Hunting Event

and enjoy the game.

- Thanks. - Thank you, Father.

General, what do you mean?

I taught Qingkou martial arts.

She got four-tenths of my true skills.

You can't even avoid the simplest punch.

How will you win her tomorrow?

You're right.

I need your help.

It's the first time you've asked me for help,

but it was for a man.

Is he so important to you?

He has been by my side since childhood,

never letting me suffer.

Now, he's fallen into such a state because of me.

So, no matter what,

I have to save him.

He is Jun Feifan's guard.

You were recovering in Qian City.

Why is your bond so deep?

He's my brother's guard,

but my father wants me to marry him.

General,

as long as you help me save Qimin,

I'll agree to any condition you ask.

And you?

What do you think?

Your father has betrothed you to him,

so you agreed?

What are you saying?

You just said

that to save Shao Qimin,

you'd agree to any condition.

That day at the Uncontrollable Canyon,

I heard there were bandits attacking caravans.

I wanted to save the caravans after wiping out the bandits,

but I was too late,

so the Jun caravan was wiped out.

I know you're upset about this.

You just kept it in your heart.

Now that Shao Qimin is back in front of you,

it must've reminded you of that.

If you're unhappy,

you can kill me.

I won't dodge.

General, are you serious?

It was chaotic that day.

The destruction of the Jun caravan was never my intention.

I didn't use Shao Qimin as leverage

to make you address this issue.

It's just...

Personally,

I want to clear things up.

I don't want there to be revenge between us.

Even if I kill you now,

the dead can't come back.

If you really want to make amends,

don't let innocent caravans

be wiped out in the Uncontrollable again.

Okay.

No more caravans

will be wiped out.

I'll begin expanding the clan army

to protect the trade routes.

(Why is Miss Qiluo so close to Xuan Lie?)

So, you did follow me here

for that Yannan merchant girl.

But Lie is the God of War of Beixuan.

He's the future Wolf Lord.

No one can take people away from him.

You poisoned me?

You could've escaped, but you didn't.

I knew you had other intentions.

So I added a bit of softening powder

to that censer.

What do you want?

I want you to obey.

Qingming,

you used me to come here for her.

You're mine.

You can't just come and go as you please.

If you dare neglect me

for that merchant girl,

I'll make sure

she suffers in Beixuan.

(Xuan Mansion)

What's wrong?

Feeling bad?

I heard you were feeling down,

so I came to drink with you.

That's true.

Qingkou told me

she's going to compete with Miss Jun tomorrow.

Are you helping Qingkou strategize,

or are you helping Miss Jun?

Qiluo asked for my help for the first time.

She wants to win.

She wants that guard back to her side.

If I help her, the caravan grudge will be erased.

Isn't that good?

Why are you still upset?

I'm afraid that guard will take her away.

I still need her

to find Jun Feifan.

Is this really your thought?

Or is it just an excuse?

Lie,

your wife

cannot be a foreign woman.

Don't get too deep into this.

How about this?

I'll go with you to the hunting ground.

I'll keep an eye on Qingkou.

Qimin.

My Lady.

What exactly happened to you?

- How did you... - My Lady, don't worry.

I'm fine.

Let's leave here.

I'll escort you back home.

No.

I haven't gotten the black iron crystals.

I can't report back without it.

If we leave now,

all our efforts will be wasted.

No,

I won't let us part again.

Let's leave Xuan Mansion first.

I've found the mine,

but it's in the hands of the King of Beixuan.

Only Xuan Lie can help me

get the black iron crystal.

My Lady, don't you remember the massacre of the caravan?

Xuan Lie is devious, and he's no good person.

You can't stay by his side.

He didn't mean to kill the caravan.

Someone else did it.

Moreover, he promised to help me save you.

Let it be forgotten.

Forgotten?

In just half a month,

you're already defending him.

What on earth happened to you?

Lie,

you're drunk. Just stay.

Find somewhere to hide for now.

If the Princess finds you're missing,

she'll come looking for you.

Are you really not leaving?

I'll wait for you to win me over.

Be careful.

Qingkou,

Miss Jun is an honored guest.

You grew up on horseback.

Don't lose your manners.

Lie,

it's a contest.

Even if she is a guest,

I won't go easy on her.

You can't go to the restricted area.

If you shoot a game within the safe area,

it counts as a win.

Yes.

When did you become so nagging?

I've heard you're an expert in archery.

Today, I shall learn from you.

Be careful.

My Lady, be careful.

Don't worry.

Who do you think will win?

Miss Qiluo is from Yannan.

The Princess grew up on horseback,

so she should be better.

That's not necessarily true.

Miss Qiluo is no less than any man

in strategy.

If Miss Jun really wins,

do you think she'll leave with Shao Qimin?

Keep an eye on them.

Stop them if they enter the restricted area.

- Yes. - Yes.

Why are you here in Beixuan?

To kill you

and avenge Miss Qiluo and the caravan.

While Qingkou hasn't returned,

you should go.

Leave Beixuan.

Let Miss Qiluo go.

We'll leave immediately.

She stayed by my side willingly.

You can't take her away.

Stop daydreaming.

How can someone brutal like you keep Miss Qiluo?

Don't think about her.

It's boring to hunt wolves here.

Why not go shoot a wild tiger in the restricted area?

If you got one, you win.

She's been by my side for so long,

but she never mentioned you.

You overestimated yourself.

Is that so?

Since you're so confident,

why don't you kill me now?

Let's have a bet

to see which of us

matters more to her.

Young Master, the Princess took Miss Qiluo to the restricted area.

This is the restricted area.

We'll soon see a wild tiger.

Princess,

remember to keep your word.

Lie, you ruined the game.

I won.

Are you so excited about leaving me?

Princess, I just won the game.

Please keep your promise.

Who said you won?

What do you mean?

I'm the Princess of Beixuan.

I do what I want.

Why should I explain to you?

No one can take away

a slave I fancy.

Qingkou,

don't go too far.

Lie, you're threatening me for her.

You even ruined our game midway.

I won't accept this.

Beixuan people should win gracefully

and lose with dignity.

Put down your knife.

She broke the rules.

Why do you only blame me?

That's right.

I did agree.

Don't blame her.

Come over.

Why?

Luo Qi, He Jiyao,

take Shao Qimin back.

- Yes. - Yes.

Qingkou.

Lie.

I'll take her back.

Thank you.

I won't leave.

He is my slave. I must take him today.

Are you really willing

to fall out with Lie for Shao Qimin?

- I... - What?

Apart from Lie, he's the only one

who has accompanied and saved me.

He can't leave.

Don't make things worse.

- The King... - My brother won't do anything to me.

What about the Queen Mother?

If the Queen Mother finds out about this,

she'll definitely kill Shao Qimin.

Come back with me.

(Song Residence)

(Jun Feifan)

Father, our opportunity has come.

What do you mean?

Someone sent a letter to Jun Feifan,

saying that Jun Qiluo was in their hands.

She's been tortured.

They want Jun Feifan to offer himself within a limited time

at the Uncontrollable,

or Jun Qiluo's head will roll.

Isn't Jun Qiluo ill in Qian City?

How did she end up at the Uncontrollable?

Well, Jun Qiluo has legs.

She can walk.

You can rewrite the letter

and send it to Uncle.

You naughty boy.

Your uncle will be extremely worried.

Of course, he loves his daughter.

Jun Qiluo is Jun Feifan's sister.

He'll definitely show up.

Jun Feifan somehow

made so many enemies.

We don't have to act then.

No, I have to make sure this time.

I let him escape once.

I can't let him escape a second time.

(Come to the northern forest for black iron crystals.)

Dongyin.

- My Lady. - Have you seen Qimin?

When I brought the breakfast, he was still there.

If I don't return by noon,

tell the general to go to the northern forest.

My Lady...

The Hunting Event for Five Clans is near.

The King seeks peace.

I don't want to trouble the King.

I can only have Xi Changkun

give me the mine willingly.

We've had a deep feud with the Xi.

Xi Changkun won't give it up easily.

We'll find a way.

Young Master.

Our people followed those with totems

(Songting Forest) they entered here.

The forest.

It's located at the border of the Xuan and Xi,

out of either jurisdiction.

The terrain is extremely complicated.

It's practically a one-way path.

If the evidence is really in the forest,

we need to think of a foolproof plan.

Young Master, a message from the Palace.

The King summons you to meet him now.

Did they say what it's about?

They only said that the Xi Leader just entered the Palace,

and it was related to some explosion.

Looks like someone lost their patience.

(Xuan Mansion)

General Lie.

General Lie.

Miss Jun is missing.

What?

So is Shao Qimin.

What a bad time.

Young Master,

maybe it's Xi Changkun's plan to distract us.

Luo Qi,

go report to the Palace.

He Jiyao, follow me.

Yes.

My Lord,

as you planned,

Shao Qimin has gone to the forest

as the letter instructed.

The Yannan merchant girl heard the news

and went there as well.

What about Lie?

As you expected,

General Lie followed Miss Jun once he found out

she'd gone there.

Lie,

if only you quit the Hunting Event.

Then I won't have to confront you.

My Lord,

does this plan

involve Princess Qingkou?

Why do you ask?

On my way back,

I saw the Princess heading to the forest.

Princess Qingkou leaving the Palace

will attract the King and Queen Mother's attention.

If the King wants to pursue this,

it could be troublesome.

Go instruct them:

Before nightfall,

Xuan Lie must be forced into the forest.

Yes.

Young Master, the forest is ahead.

If we rush in now, we'll fall into an ambush

and ruin the plan.

The Hunting Event is imminent...

We must find her before nightfall.

Lie.

What are you doing here?

Someone saw my slave enter the forest.

He Jiyao,

take the Princess back.

Yes.

Without him, no one can take me away.

- Princess. - Qingkou.

Young Master, I'll go after her.

Wait a moment.

Go back to gather troops.

Bring more people who know the terrain.

I'll go find Qingkou.

Yes.

Qimin.

My Lady.

What are you doing here?

I saw a letter in your room.

It said I should come here for black iron crystals.

It seems Xuan Lie knows you want the black iron crystal,

so he set a trap to lure me here.

Fine.

He wants to kill me,

and I also want revenge.

It couldn't have been him.

He doesn't need to do this.

Moreover, he doesn't know

what my ultimate goal is with the crystals.

My Lady,

all your words are about him now.

After spending time with him,

I've come to understand him a little.

He doesn't need to do this.

But on my way here,

I didn't see anyone else.

Who but he

could've delivered the letter to my room?

Something's off about this.

Let's leave first.
